2. What is a Hybrid Vehicle?
A hybrid vehicle is an automobile that has two or
more major sources of propulsion power.
Most hybrid vehicles currently marketed
to consumers have both conventional
gasoline and electric motors.
Other power sources may include hydrogen,
propane, CNG, and solar energy, wind
energy .
3. INTRODUCTION
With increase in petrol prices and other escalating costs,
private transport system has become a costly affair, but scaling
down fares is a difficult task.
Innovation has answer to all problems.
Efficient use of solar, wind and shock absorber are viable
alternatives to cut fares and ensure clean and green environment
We came up with a noble idea of designing a hybrid car powered
by solar, wind and shock absorber to support as a power source.

5. WHAT IS A SOLAR CAR?
A solar vehicle is an electric vehicle powered by solar
energy,which is obtained from solar panels on the surface of
the vehicle.
7. HOW SOLAR-POWER CAR RUNS
When the energy is
send from the
battery to the motor,
the motor adjust the
amount of energy
that flows to the
throttle. The motors
use the energy that
receive to run the
wheel.

11. POWER TRACKERS
Power trackers
convert the solar
array voltage to the
system voltage.
Power tracker role
In this step the power
tracker in the car receive
the energy from the solar
array, and convert the
energy that it receive to
required voltage that the
car can use.
12. BATTERIES
The batteries store
energy from the
power tracker and
makes them available
for the motor's use.
Use of battery
After the power tracker
convert the energy to the
energy that is usable for
the car, it send to the
battery then the battery
store the energy.
This energy is send to the
motor and controller to
make the car run.
13. REDUCTION GEARED MOTOR &
CONTROLLER
The motor controller
adjusts the amount of
energy that flows to the
motor to corresponds to
the throttle.
Reduction gears are used
to convert high RPM to
high required torque for
moving the wheels.
The motor uses that
energy to drive the
wheels.
14. Wind Energy Car
A wind-powered car converts wind power into
electric energy, thereby helping in quick
charging of battries while running
There’s an intake valve seated on the roof to
mass all the wind needed to power the car.
An Alternator connects to the intake valve which
converts the kinetic energy of moving turbine to
electrical energy.
This electrical energy is connected to a DC
battery pack which is the source of power to a
controller.
This controller converts the DC voltage to AC
voltage with the help of power diodes(LED’s).
15. WORKING PRINCIPLE
When the car runs,to get the most out of the
smallest surface we have to use a turbine with a
large contact surface. Such turbine will have only
one active side.

This increases the efficiency of the wind turbine.
17. Regenerative Shock Absorber
• New shock absorber technology will convert those
bumps and potholes into useful energy.
• In INDIA, we have a lot of bumpy roads and speed
breakers, we tried to utilize this fact to generate energy
power to charge batteries via regenerative Shock
absorbers.
18. The device consists of two components - a hollow
coil assembly and a magnet assembly that uses
vibrational energy from the vehicle’s suspension to
move up and down inside it.
Basic Concept
19. The shock absorber harvests energy from vibrations
experienced by a vehicle's suspension system into
electricity that can charge the battery and power
vehicle electronics
An energy-harvesting shock absorber that can
be installed in a vehicle’s suspension system to
absorb the energy from bumps in the road,
convert the energy into electricity, and improve
fuel efficiency by 1-8%(That has been Proved)
20. The magnets are arranged with like-poles of adjacent
magnets facing each other to help push the magnetic
flux outward. The magnetic assembly is encased in an
outer cylinder made of high magnetically permeable
material to further increase magnetic flux density in
the coils.
21. IN-WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM (IWDS) OR ALL
WHEEL TORQUE VECTORING SYSTEM (AWTV)
This system consists of
four separate motors
connected directly to the
hub of each wheel.
Every motor run at high
RPM so we have to use
reduction gear motors to
get the desired torque
required for moving the
vehicle.
22. All the motors rotate in same direction at same Synchronised
speed which is done by using a special Electronic Circuit while
moving in straight line.
Whenever we need to turn the vehicle two of the tyres moving
anticlockwise and other two in clockwise direction which
enables to turn the vehicle with minimum turning radius.
