Primary mention of the town is from first half of 13th century. In 1572 was Hustopeče promote to a city Hustopeče has been an important trade and wine-growing centre ever since the Middle Ages. Nowadays it is one of the best producers of wine in Southern Moravia The city is located by the motorway, in the direction of Brno-Břeclav. Town Museum and Gallery The U Synků House is house of many exhibitions, for example one - documenting the history of the town from prehistory to 1945. There are also expositions of visual arts (sculpture, painting and applied art by artists but also children from local schools) and a tasting of wine in a wine cellar
Sights of the city Plague pillar and the  Neo-Renaissance town hall  The new town  hall was built in  1906, pillar in 1736
The Church of St Wenceslas and St Agnes of Bohemia , dating from 1994   and the sculpture Triton on the public fountain in front of Gymnasium T.G.Masaryka from 1595
Culture in the town There is a „Center of the free time“ in our town which includes library, cirque, The house for kids and teenagers, cinema and Culture house The town library area of The house for kids and teenagers
There are 2 big swimming pools, the first is in-door and the second is out-door (with 4 swimming baths, large roller coaster and one smaller slipway) Sports activities In the town are also tennis courts, beach volleyball court, football field and sports hall
Famous people in Hustopeče Probably the most famous person, who lived in   Hustopeče, was in my opinion a czech president Tomáš Garigue Masaryk. He was the first czech president and he studied  there in 1861 – 1863.  His parents are sepultured on the town cemetery
The other famous person from Hustopeče is certainly Miroslav Caban. He is one of the mountaineers, who remount Mont Everest and other 8thousand‘s mountains. There are some pictures from his forwarding departments
