  • 5. Disability rights  An employer has to make “reasonable adjustments”
  • 6. Disabled people fight against discrimination
  • 7. Learning the correct terms  Physical disability not invalid  Visual disability not blind  Hearing Impairment not deaf  Intelectual disability
  • 8. Case of people discapacity  Depending on the nature of your disability and the type of job you have, there may be no problem with you returning to work.
  • 9. For example  Latin America and the Caribbean About 80-90% of persons with disabilities are unemployed or outside the work force. Most of those who have jobs receive little or no monetary remuneration. (World Bank, ‘Disability and inclusive development: Latin America and the Caribbean’, 2004)
