Spending time at Hult’s campus in Shanghai
allows you to experience how the Chinese
economy impacts almost everything.
The list of leaders is
changing faster than
you think.
By some measures, China has already overtaken the
U.S. as the world’s largest economy. China has built a rail
system in the past two decades that could circle the globe
three times, and the Chinese own more smartphones than
any other country.
London is the world’s most international
city. Hult has three separate campuses in
the Greater London area.
	Business
	 today is global.
A relevant business education must be a
global one. Now that 60% of the world’s economic
output crosses an international border, it’s no longer
enough to understand how business works. You also
need to know how the world works.
Hult offers electives in downtown Manhattan—
within walking distance of Wall Street.
Hult Dubai places you at the crossroads
of trade, media, and tourism in one of the
world’s most vibrant emerging markets.
The world’s largest
cities have more
economic power than
many countries.
NewYork City vies neck and neck
with Tokyo as the world’s most powerful
city. Its 1.1 trillion dollar economic output
exceeds that of Mexico.
	 The influence of
	 emerging markets
	 is on the rise.
Emerging markets now import more goods
than developed economies. They also produce over
50% of the world’s GDP.Their foreign investment
exceeds 440 billion dollars—more than the U.S. and
Europe combined.
Hult is the
global business
school.
Hult’s Global Executive MBA offers the most global,
practical—and flexible—business education available. Build
a study program around your own busy schedule, so that
you can upgrade your skills and take the next big step in
your international career.

Hult San Francisco places you at the heart
of California’s innovation, technology, and
startup culture.
	 Technology is
	 changing everything.
Uber is the world’s largest taxi company,
but it doesn’t own any cars.Airbnb has more rooms
worldwide than Hilton, but it doesn’t own any hotels.
Alibaba is one of the planet’s largest retailers, yet
it carries no inventory.
This is the world
of global business...
Hult San Francisco is just a short walk from the Transamerica Pyramid.
The only Executive MBA
that lets you choose where,
how, and what you’ll study.
Global flexibility: Our Executive MBA is designed
for working professionals. We offer you maximum
flexibility when it comes to choosing campus locations and
career-specific courses—even the ability to study online—
so that you can continue to work full-time while you
pursue your degree.
	 Only Hult allows you
to study in up to five world-class
cities—and customize your
MBA program content to
meet your global career goals.
Study at up to three Hult campus locations
in five world-class cities.
Only Hult offers you the choice of five Executive
MBA locations worldwide—and the ability to
rotate seamlessly among them. First choose a
home campus from these three locations: London,
Dubai, or Shanghai. From October to April, you
study at your home campus one four-day
weekend a month to gain core business
knowledge. Then from May to July, you can
customize your study program by taking your
specialization electives at any of these Hult
locations: London, Shanghai, Dubai, San Francisco,
or NewYork. At Hult, you learn about world
markets by studying in several of them.
Choose how you would like to study—
to meet the needs of your busy schedule.
Typically, you spend one long weekend a month
on campus, studying alongside business
professionals from up to 120 different countries.
We also recognize that commitments in your
work and home life may sometimes make this
difficult.We have therefore designed our
program so that you can, with sufficient prior
notice, choose to complete entire modules of
your coursework online instead.
Customize your MBA to your current
position or future career.
Unique to our Executive MBA is the ability to
specialize your degree in a range of career fields:
Marketing, Finance, Project Management,
Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, or General
Management. You can further shape your future
by gaining hands-on experience through the
Hult Business Challenge, a three-month group
project to solve a problem for a specific company,
or to launch a new business or social enterprise.

	 Study alongside
business professionals from
around the globe. On average,
our Executive MBA students
are 36 years old with 11 years
of work experience.
Many business schools
claim to be global.
Hult classrooms actually
prove it.
We look for what makes you unique.
Many of the world’s most successful leaders did
not graduate from college at the top of their class.
Yet no one doubts that there’s something truly
special about them. That’s why Hult is interested
in more than just your academic record and job
résumé.We want to get to know you: what makes
you tick, where your true passions lie, and how
you think you’ve succeeded—or failed.
Study alongside business professionals from
every industry.
Your fellow classmates will quickly become one
of your most prized learning resources. They
come from the broadest possible range of
professional backgrounds—having already worked
an average of 11 years doing everything
imaginable.Together, you will not only share your
experiences, but teach each other how everyone
sees the world from different angles. Most
important of all, you will learn how to use this
diversity to your advantage. You will not only
graduate with a network of friends and colleagues
from every major city in the world, you will
become a true global citizen.
Global student body: In 2015, Hult’s incoming
student body represented 120 countries and spoke over
100 languages. Though our Executive MBA candidates
come from every corner of the globe, they share a
common desire to take the next big step in their careers.
They question the status quo, dare to be different, and
think outside of the box.

Global faculty:Though Hult professors have the
academic training you would expect, the subjects they teach
are greatly enhanced by their internationalism: they come
from 37 countries and have collectively taught on nearly every
continent. But what sets them truly apart is their real-world
experience. Everything you learn is backed by examples from
their successes as corporate executives, business owners,
inventors, and entrepreneurs.
Our faculty bring their
international experience
to the classroom.
A different approach to what makes
a great professor.
Unlike the faculty of many universities—who
are primarily researchers and authors—Hult
professors pride themselves first and foremost on
their ability to excel in the classroom. Many have
achieved significant success in the business world,
and are keen to share it with their students. Some
have worked in large multinationals like
McKinsey & Company, Coca-Cola, and Credit
Suisse. Others have run their own businesses and
enterprises. Several have developed their own
patents for goods and services. All of them
understand the demands on busy executives, since
they are business professionals themselves.
Inspiring teachers, satisfied students.
Our professors and lecturers all possess impressive
academic credentials—93% hold advanced
degrees from some of the world’s finest
institutions. But what matters most to our
students is their performance in the classroom.
According to the The Economist Executive MBA
Rankings 2015, our students rate the quality of
teaching they receive from their professors
at 4.53 out of 5.
	 Hult professors hail
from 37 countries.The
majority bring over 10 years
of teaching experience to
the classroom, as well as
their own successes in the
business world.

Our curriculum is based
on the issues facing today’s
international companies.
Many of the same experts who develop and
teach our Executive MBA courses have worked
with some of the world’s leading companies.
Not only do we teach global management to
Executive MBA students, we also consult for
some of the world’s most respected organizations.
This problem-solving takes many forms including
strategy development, change management, and
leadership development.
We translate our findings into relevant
educational content.
Part of our mission is to translate the best
practices from our consulting work into useful
information for the business world. We maintain
a cutting-edge research center to identify and
study trends in the global marketplace. But most
importantly for you, we take what we learn and
build it into our Executive MBA curriculum so
that you get the most relevant business education
available. You’ll find yourself applying many of the
tools and techniques you learn in class to
situations that arise at your current job.

3. Build core business knowledge
at your home campus. Take your
electives anywhere.
Choose a convenient home campus
where you will complete your business
knowledge courses (Modules 1 & 2) from
November to May. Then customize your
program for your career by taking your
electives (Module 3) at any of our study
locations from May through July.
(See right for a full list.)
4. Study online—if you need to.
Whenever the demands of work or your
home life make travel to campus difficult,
you can opt to complete Modules 1 or 2
of either year online.
1. Study on campus one long
weekend a month.
During each four-day session, you attend
lectures, workshops, and group projects
that focus on a single course subject (see
the chart below). Though intensive, these
face-to-face sessions accelerate your
progress, enabling you to complete about
a course a month on average.
2. Prepare for class and complete
assignments at home.
Several hours of the coursework is
completed off-site, in the two weeks
before or after your on-campus sessions.
When and where you do your homework
is, of course, entirely up to you.
5. Each October, immerse yourself
in leadership development.
Our innovative leadership “boot camp”
at the outset of each year helps you
develop a set of competencies across
four critical leadership areas.
6. Put all the concepts you’re
learning to practical use.
In February of Year 2, begin work on
the Business Challenge—a three-month
team project to solve a problem for a
company, or to launch a startup.
7. Consult with our expert career
coaches throughout your program.
Attend classes one weekend
a month for two years.
Our innovative curriculum enables you to study part-time, but
still benefit from all the essential elements of a full-time program:
business knowledge courses, career-specific electives, leadership
development, practical experience, and career coaching.

Maximum flexibility:
Design a study program
around your needs.
Our Executive MBA allows you to seamlessly integrate an
advanced degree program into your busy work and home life by
customizing where,how,and what you study.
If necessary, you can switch to
studying online.
We understand that traveling to
campus on a monthly basis may
sometimes prove impossible due to
work or home life commitments. With
Hult’s Executive MBA program, you
can opt to take Modules 1 or 2 of either
program year online.* Please note that
you must complete the Leadership
Development immersion and Business
Challenge project on campus, as these
require face-to-face interaction with
professors, mentors, fellow students,
and corporate clients.
Pause your program, if a special
situation requires it.
If the reality of your life situation
unexpectedly changes during the
course of your program (such as
switching jobs or having a baby), you
may discuss with your academic
advisor the possibility of temporarily
pausing your studies.
Make your MBA career-specific
with a specialization.
Get further value from your Executive
MBA program by focusing all of your
elective courses on a specific industry
or career. We offer specializations in
Marketing,Finance,Project Management,
Sustainability,Entrepreneurship, and
General Management. (See pp. 30-31.)
Apply all that you learn toward your
next career move.
In Year 2, we give you the chance to
put all the theories, techniques, and
tools you’re learning into hands-on
practice through a three-month project
called the Business Challenge. You and
your teammates can further customize
your MBA experience by choosing a
challenge that’s relevant to your future
career goals: Solve a problem for a
particular company, including your
own employer; create the business
plan for an innovative startup; or launch
a social enterprise with global impact.
(See pp. 34-35.)
*The option of studying online requires
sufficient prior notice to ensure the quality
of the student experience. For details,

Business knowledge:
The core
All Executive MBA programs teach the fundamentals of strategy,
finance, and management. What sets Hult apart: the way we
bring the core concepts of business knowledge to life through
experiential teaching techniques and guest lectures from industry
leaders—enhancing every subject with a global perspective.
The building blocks of business.
During the first two modules of each
program year, you will focus on the
basic building blocks of business
theory—strategy, finance, and
management. We insist everyone
take this core group of subjects
because they’re vital topics for
any leader to grasp. But don’t
expect canned lectures on analysis,
marketing, and economics. Our
professors teach these subjects from
a global perspective. They illustrate
key concepts with their own
real-world experience. And your
fellow classmates broaden the
debate with perspectives from
every major market.
Experts in bringing the
fundamental concepts to life.
Since we all learn best by doing, your
professors will periodically take you
out of the classroom to help bring core
subjects to life. We set up dynamic
simulations, have students work
through difficult role-play situations
with actors, use computer-based
models to market and sell products,
and organize outdoor activities to
learn teamwork and leadership skills.
One of our more unconventional
approaches is to pitch students
against professional poker players in a
lesson designed to teach the art of risk
management! By the time you have
completed your core studies, you will
not only know all the fundamentals of
business, you will have experienced
many of them firsthand.
Hear the inside story, directly
from industry leaders.
Each Hult campus hosts a Global
Speaker Series so that you have the
opportunity to hear directly from the
world’s brightest minds. In the past,
Hult has welcomed thought leaders
such as Steve Wozniak (co-founder
of Apple), Biz Stone (co-founder of
Twitter), Arianna Huffington (founder
and publisher of The Huffington Post)
and Muhammad Yunus (Nobel Peace
Prize Winner) to share their
inspirational stories and the lessons
they have learned on the way to the
top. These sessions offer invaluable
insight into cutting-edge business
trends, and provide access to the
people who are defining the shape
of business (see pp. 20-21).

“ The Executive

It is a well-known fact in the
business community that venture capitalists
are notoriously difficult to convince. Before
they are willing to invest in any new
company, they interrogate every nut and
bolt of a young business. No stone is left
unturned while they get to know the inner
workings of a business, and assess whether
future growth proposals are realistic.
At Hult,we believe in throwing students into
the deep end,so we have devised theVenture
Strategy competition. The aim of this two-day
contest is to simulate a real-life,high-pressure
environment in which you and your teammates
compete against other companies to secure
funding to launch a tech startup.Teams are
systematically eliminated over two days,and
winners are selected across numerous categories,
including highest return on investment,largest
market share,and best management team.
Being put in the hot seat like this truly makes
students scrutinize the viability of both their
business idea and business plan. The mix of
computer simulation and real-world interaction
throughout the competition teaches you:
—— How to create innovative business plans
with a unique marketing niche
—— How to pitch your business idea to potential
investors over the course of multiple rounds
—— How to work in cross-functional teams to
make investment, production, sales, and marketing
decisions that will ultimately determine whether
your business succeeds
Previous students have thoroughly enjoyed this
simulation, despite (or maybe because of) the
very steep learning curve. Nearly all come away
from the exercise with new respect for the phrase
“entrepreneurial spirit.”
How would you fare against
a venture capitalist?

Leadership development:
Professional growth
Though few of us are born natural leaders, leadership can
be taught. Hult integrates the best leadership development
practices from the world’s top companies into our Executive
MBA curriculum so you can make an immediate impact—
at your current job or in your future career.
An award-winning leadership
development methodology
In 2014, Hult’s Global One-Year MBA
won the prestigious Association of
MBA’s Innovation Award for its
groundbreaking approach to
leadership development. Our
Executive MBA incorporates all of
these innovative tools and techniques
into two intensive sessions, held at the
outset of each program year at your
home campus. Here you will develop
a set of competencies across the four
key leadership areas that employers
deem essential to success (right).
We call this the Hult LEAD Model—
Leadership through Evaluation,
Awareness, and Development.
How does LEAD work?
In an initial immersion session, we
introduce you to the key concepts of
leadership and assess your individual
strengths and weaknesses. Intensive
leadership training is then the focus
at the outset of each program year.
You’ll also undergo a continuous
process of practice and mentorship
throughout your studies. Critical to
this process is constant feedback and
support from fellow students and
professional coaches (see facing
page). We begin charting each
student’s progress from the first week,
and by graduation, the results are
very impressive—over 85% of our
MBA students show a significant
improvement in their leadership skills.

Practical experience:
The Business Challenge
Put all the business knowledge and leadership skills you are
learning to the test with this three-month project in which you
and your teammates solve an existing problem for an individual
company (such as your own employer), or create the business
plan for a startup or social enterprise.
Rise to the challenge and make
a real impact
The key concepts of business can
certainly be introduced by a
teacher, case study, or textbook. But
they cannot truly be mastered until
they are practiced firsthand. The
Business Challenge is a three-month
group project in the final modules of
your program that allows you to use
all the tools and techniques you’ve
learned by solving a real business
problem. It gives you the chance to
develop and test innovative ideas that
will make a difference—not only in your
current job, but in your future career.
How it works
The competition starts in February of
Year 2, when students form teams
and choose a Business Challenge
track. In the CEO Challenge, you
solve a problem for a participating
company—or for your own employer.
In the Startup Challenge, you bring
your own idea to life for a new
product, service, or social enterprise.
Throughout the remainder of the year,
your team meets regularly—in person
when you’re on campus or via Skype
when you’re at home—to hone your
innovative idea into an actionable
plan, with mentorship and guidance
from company officials, local mentors,
and Hult professors.
Exposure to industry leaders
In the CEO Challenge, you will present
your recommendations directly to a
senior company leader or board
member. In the Startup Challenge, you
get to present your game-changing
business idea to a panel of local
executives, entrepreneurs, and
founders of social enterprises.
The challenge isn’t just an academic
exercise, but the first step to your
next big career move—whether
that’s a promotion in your current
company; landing your dream job
in a new industry; or launching
your own startup.
Hult Executive MBA students rise to the challenge
for a global telecom provider
	 Background: A 2015 business
challenge was set by one of the world’s
leading telecom equipment and service
providers, with revenues in excess of 30
billion dollars. The company would like
to monetize its communication technology
platforms so that they can be utilized by
users in smart cities, the smart grid, and
intelligent transport systems.
	 The company would like to
explore better ways of leveraging existing
business relationships with other telecoms,
as well as capitalize on open data and
open interfaces in the systedevelopment
environment.
Business challenge:
—— Define and implement an application partner
program for the transport, energy, or safety
industry. Your solution must enhance the end
user experience, and work with eco-systems
that monetize existing platform capabilities.
One solution from Hult London:
—— A team of Hult London students developed a
competitive transportation eco-system that
allowed the company to form strategic
partnerships with local start-ups and global
multi-vendor organizations alike. Built on an
existing cloud platform, this integrated network
connects the diverse sectors of air, sea,
automotive, road, rail, and public transport, and
fosters the creation of custom-made solutions
through open innovation—resulting in lower
costs and higher impact.

Drischel launch a global fashion brand.
	 Thomas’s professors and peers in

Shanghai
The emergence of China as the
world’s fastest growing economy has
completely changed the global business
landscape, and Shanghai is the engine
driving its growth. Manufacturing and
service industries form the backbone of
the city, while a new focus on innovation
sees technological and design trends
flowing continously onto the world stage.
Experience in this pivotal region is now a
must-have for any aspiring leader.
Why
choose Shanghai
China’s most influential and
innovative city
Shanghai is China’s commercial and
financial center, and the region’s most
influential city in terms of international
trade. Now that the Shanghai stock
exchange is a major player, and the
world’s busiest container port
operates out of this city, the biggest
names on the global business circuit
are flocking to Shanghai to ensure
they have a stake in this pivotal
market. Manufacturing and export are
traditionally the largest industries in
China—it is the world’s largest
exporter and second-largest importer
of goods—but there is a growing
focus on the service industries, with
financial services, retail, and real
estate experiencing rapid growth.
China’s new generation of
entrepreneurs are making serious
waves on the international startup
scene, and original thinkers are
leading a renaissance in the creative
industries. Its seemingly limitless
potential is only just starting to be
unlocked, making Shanghai an
incredibly exciting place to be.
Give yourself a competitive edge
in the job market
Knowledge of, and experience in,
this hugely important region gives
you a tangible competitive advantage
in today’s international job market.
Whether you are hoping to forge a
career within China, Asia, or further
afield, every major market in the world
wants to trade with China. Students at
Hult Shanghai have gone on to find

San Francisco
San Francisco is home to the biggest
breakthrough companies of the 21st century,
and has become a hub for the world’s most
forward-thinking entrepreneurs.Technology
born here by the likes of Apple,Google, and
Facebook has not only brought about huge
shifts in the global marketplace,it has changed
the face of corporate culture.San Francisco
has become a byword for both creativity and
entrepreneurialism.See for yourself by taking
specialization electives here.
Why choose
San Francisco
A city that caters equally to tech
giants and startups
San Francisco is the ideal location for
the digitally driven age we currently
live in. The city has long been
powered by the startup economy,
earning itself a global reputation for
creativity and technological wizardry.
Indeed, having seen a generation of
determined entrepreneurs build huge
business empires out of garages and
college dorm rooms, San Francisco
has become the world’s premier
destination for those wanting to push
the boundaries of the possible. Silicon
Valley, just south of the city, is the
world’s leading tech hub, and is home
to anyone who is anyone in the digital
world including Facebook, Twitter,
eBay, Uber, and Airbnb. Yet 85%
of companies in the Bay Area have
fewer than 10 employees. This blend
of small and mighty makes for a truly
unique business community, in which
forward thinking and creativity are the
most highly prized credentials.
Networking is a way of life
San Francisco intentionally blurs the
boundaries between work and play,
and its renowned “meet-up” culture
seamlessly combines networking with
socializing. Our rotation center is
well-placed to take advantage of this
engrained mentality, and our own
networking events provide another
valuable springboard into the wider
business community. Hult students
here tend to have an entrepreneurial
mindset and don’t waste any time
capitalizing on the contacts they have
made—even before graduation.
Situated on one of the
original Seven Hills
Hult’s rotation center is adjacent to
Telegraph Hill and only moments
away from the Financial District,
Fisherman’s Wharf, and Union
Square’s bustling department stores,
placing you right in the middle of
everything the city has to offer.
Renowned architects TSAO Design

GLOBAL EXECUTIVE MBA66
Rotation center:
New York
Executive MBA students can choose
to take specialization electives in the world’s
most influential business city.Wall Street,
Madison Avenue, and the headquarters of
the U.N. make NewYork a global leader in
finance and media, as well as the undisputed
center of international diplomacy. But New
York is more than just a place; it’s an
international icon for opportunity,
ambition, and the American Dream.
The original American city
When most people think of America,
New York immediately springs to
mind. For over 200 years people from
all over the world have flocked to the
city in the hope of making their
fortunes and building themselves a
better life. They created the blueprint
of today’s money-driven metropolis.
Business doesn’t get more iconic than
Wall Street with its financial giants
and Madison Avenue, the birthplace
of modern advertising. Notoriously
competitive and highly ambitious,
New York’s job market is not for the
faint-hearted. But if you can make it
here, you can make it anywhere.
Where finance, media, and
politics interact
Business and politics are two sides of
the same economic coin. Students at
Hult New York are uniquely
positioned to explore this complex
relationship with thought leaders from
the worlds of finance, marketing, and
politics, who offer valuable insights
into the latest developments in these
fields. Past events have included
discussions with the Honorable
Thomas Reeve Pickering, former U.S.
Ambassador, visits to Bloomberg
headquarters, and guided tours of
the United Nations headquarters.
Live and learn in downtown
Manhattan
Our rotation center is located at the
Cooper Union for the Advancement of
Science & Art, so our students enjoy
a state-of-the-art learning space in an
enviable Manhattan location. Watch a
Broadway show, catch a baseball
game at Yankee Stadium, ride a bike
through Central Park on a sunny
afternoon. There is no end to the
attractions New York has to offer.
Apartment-style accommodation in
the fashionable East Village is only
minutes from campus.
Multinational Manhattan
U.S. corporate giants such as
Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley,
American Express, and Time Warner
are all based in Manhattan. It’s also
a major hub for foreign companies,
which provide 10% of the city’s private
sector jobs. At Hult New York, you’ll
learn what really turns the cogs of
American business directly from
leading executives and academics.
To support students in their efforts
to enter the fiercely competitive New
York job market, we run job search
strategy workshops in conjunction
with our intensive Career
Development program.

Kate Wolfenden
Venture Catalyst, WWF-UK
(World Wide Fund for Nature)
U.K., Class of 2014
Life at Hult:Kate loved the
innovative and entrepreneurial
culture.
For Kate, the young atmosphere on Hult’s
campuses had nothing to do with age— it was
created by the drive and hunger of the people.
“ There are people of all ages and experiences
here, but youth is represented by a lust for life in
everyone. I love the classroom atmosphere, the
can-do attitudes, and the hunger to learn and
progress. It’s contagious.
	 The innovative and entrepreneurial culture
you experience at Hult day-to-day fascinates me.
I can definitely see why other more traditional
institutions are looking over their shoulders. It feels
like a fast-moving business in itself. Listening,
responding, innovating, and learning—all with a
razor-sharp sense of humor. Hult, and the people
that make it, are great to be around.”
70 GLOBAL EXECUTIVE MBA
“ Through Hult, I had the
opportunity to visit some of the most exciting cities in the world,
be exposed to different cultures, and study in multinational,
dynamic environments. The friendships I made with people from
different backgrounds are for a lifetime.”
Tsvetelina Todorova
Consultant, MERAR Investment Network
Bulgaria, Class of 2011
“ Further education in such a
culturally diverse environment is twice as rewarding and offers
the opportunity to build global networks with people who
share similar goals and aspirations. One of the key ingredients
that makes this work so well is the relaxed nature of the
school and learning environment.”
Alan Newton

U.K., Class of 2014
“ Higher education is not only about what you
learn but also about how you learn it—this is something
that Hult truly understands and fosters.A great quality of
Hult is the way hands-on experience is incorporated into
each of its courses.”

Hult scholarships
Hult scholarships are designed to help
us find the best global talent and
maximize diversity. Our scholarships
cover a wide range of backgrounds,
industries, sectors, and nationalities.
A few examples of available
scholarships include:
—— Academic Excellence
Scholarships
—— Social Impact Scholarships
—— Entrepreneurial Impact
Scholarship
Scholarships are awarded to eligible
candidates who demonstrate the
strongest potential. Candidates are
required to prove they meet each
scholarship criteria through evidence,
and/or a written or video submission.
Competition for scholarships increases
as the year progresses, so we
recommend applying early.
A full list of our scholarships can be
found at: Hult.edu/emba-scholarships
Educational loans
The majority of our students utilize
some form of education loan, even if
they receive a scholarship or financial
assistance. Students requiring
additional financing
 for their program
fees have two main loan options:
Local bank loans and
government support
Financial institutions in many countries
offer MBA education financing
specifically to local citizens. These
loans are typically repayable after
completion of the course, although
terms vary
widely. Depending on
where you are from, you may be eligible
for loan and grant opportunities offered
by your government. We work with
candidates to help them identify
suitable financial institutions and
government programs.
GoEd Student Financing
Hult has established an exclusive
partnership with GoEd Student
Financing to offer loans to international
students at very competitive interest
rates. Loans are typically offered over
five years, with a repayment schedule
that starts six months after graduation.
Hult and GoEd work with students
through each step of a simple process
so that students will know promptly if
their loan application has been accepted.
Employer sponsorship
Our Global Executive MBA students
are either self-sponsored or
company-sponsored. We work closely
with companies to offer a range of full
or partial sponsorships, and we partner
closely with them to ensure the highest
level of quality, service and customized
course content. Contact us for more
information about seeking co
sponsorship with your company.
Scholarships and financial
assistance
Our Global Executive MBA is cost-effective because our
graduates start reaping the benefits of their degree earlier than
most leading two-year programs. But we recognize that an MBA
is a significant investment. We work closely with you to find the
best options to fund your program—including scholarships,
financial assistance, and educational loans.

London is the world’s most international city. Hult has three separate campuses in the Greater London area. Business today is global. A relevant business education must be a global one. Now that 60% of the world’s economic output crosses an international border, it’s no longer enough to understand how business works. You also need to know how the world works.

Global faculty:Though Hultprofessors have the academic training you would expect, the subjects they teach are greatly enhanced by their internationalism: they come from 37 countries and have collectively taught on nearly every continent. But what sets them truly apart is their real-world experience. Everything you learn is backed by examples from their successes as corporate executives, business owners, inventors, and entrepreneurs. Our faculty bring their international experience to the classroom. A different approach to what makes a great professor. Unlike the faculty of many universities—who are primarily researchers and authors—Hult professors pride themselves first and foremost on their ability to excel in the classroom. Many have achieved significant success in the business world, and are keen to share it with their students. Some have worked in large multinationals like McKinsey & Company, Coca-Cola, and Credit Suisse. Others have run their own businesses and enterprises. Several have developed their own patents for goods and services. All of them understand the demands on busy executives, since they are business professionals themselves. Inspiring teachers, satisfied students. Our professors and lecturers all possess impressive academic credentials—93% hold advanced degrees from some of the world’s finest institutions. But what matters most to our students is their performance in the classroom. According to the The Economist Executive MBA Rankings 2015, our students rate the quality of teaching they receive from their professors at 4.53 out of 5. Hult professors hail from 37 countries. The majority bring over 10 years of teaching experience to the classroom, as well as their own successes in the business world. Business knowledge: The core AllExecutive MBA programs teach the fundamentals of strategy, finance, and management. What sets Hult apart: the way we bring the core concepts of business knowledge to life through experiential teaching techniques and guest lectures from industry leaders—enhancing every subject with a global perspective. The building blocks of business. During the first two modules of each program year, you will focus on the basic building blocks of business theory—strategy, finance, and management. We insist everyone take this core group of subjects because they’re vital topics for any leader to grasp. But don’t expect canned lectures on analysis, marketing, and economics. Our professors teach these subjects from a global perspective. They illustrate key concepts with their own real-world experience. And your fellow classmates broaden the debate with perspectives from every major market. Experts in bringing the fundamental concepts to life. Since we all learn best by doing, your professors will periodically take you out of the classroom to help bring core subjects to life. We set up dynamic simulations, have students work through difficult role-play situations with actors, use computer-based models to market and sell products, and organize outdoor activities to learn teamwork and leadership skills. One of our more unconventional approaches is to pitch students against professional poker players in a lesson designed to teach the art of risk management! By the time you have completed your core studies, you will not only know all the fundamentals of business, you will have experienced many of them firsthand. Hear the inside story, directly from industry leaders. Each Hult campus hosts a Global Speaker Series so that you have the opportunity to hear directly from the world’s brightest minds. In the past, Hult has welcomed thought leaders such as Steve Wozniak (co-founder of Apple), Biz Stone (co-founder of Twitter), Arianna Huffington (founder and publisher of The Huffington Post) and Muhammad Yunus (Nobel Peace Prize Winner) to share their inspirational stories and the lessons they have learned on the way to the top. These sessions offer invaluable insight into cutting-edge business trends, and provide access to the people who are defining the shape of business (see pp. 20-21). Core courses: Leadership —— Leading Globally —— Leading with Personal Impact —— Leading for Innovation —— Leading Change Strategy —— International Marketing —— Global Strategy —— Business and Global Society —— Global Operations Management Finance —— Financial Management —— Managerial Economics —— Accounting “ The Executive MBA gives you the skills and knowledge needed to understand the why, how, when, and what-if of the business world. It’s helping me excel in the workplace and advance my career at a quick pace.” Raed N. Bakhrji Wireline Services Director, Middle East & Asia-Pacific, Baker Hughes Saudi Arabia, Class of 2011 It is a well-known fact in the business community that venture capitalists are notoriously difficult to convince. Before they are willing to invest in any new company, they interrogate every nut and bolt of a young business. No stone is left unturned while they get to know the inner workings of a business, and assess whether future growth proposals are realistic. At Hult,we believe in throwing students into the deep end,so we have devised theVenture Strategy competition. The aim of this two-day contest is to simulate a real-life,high-pressure environment in which you and your teammates compete against other companies to secure funding to launch a tech startup.Teams are systematically eliminated over two days, and winners are selected across numerous categories, including highest return on investment, largest market share, and best management team. Being put in the hot seat like this truly makes students scrutinize the viability of both their business idea and business plan. The mix of computer simulation and real-world interaction throughout the competition teaches you: —— How to create innovative business plans with a unique marketing niche —— How to pitch your business idea to potential investors over the course of multiple rounds —— How to work in cross-functional teams to make investment, production, sales, and marketing decisions that will ultimately determine whether your business succeeds Previous students have thoroughly enjoyed this simulation, despite (or maybe because of) the very steep learning curve. Nearly all come away from the exercise with new respect for the phrase “entrepreneurial spirit.” How would you fare against a venture capitalist? CURRICULUM 28 GLOBAL EXECUTIVE MBA 29 HULT.EDU/EMBA

Leadership development: Professional growth Thoughfew of us are born natural leaders, leadership can be taught. Hult integrates the best leadership development practices from the world’s top companies into our Executive MBA curriculum so you can make an immediate impact— at your current job or in your future career. An award-winning leadership development methodology In 2014, Hult’s Global One-Year MBA won the prestigious Association of MBA’s Innovation Award for its groundbreaking approach to leadership development. Our Executive MBA incorporates all of these innovative tools and techniques into two intensive sessions, held at the outset of each program year at your home campus. Here you will develop a set of competencies across the four key leadership areas that employers deem essential to success (right). We call this the Hult LEAD Model— Leadership through Evaluation, Awareness, and Development. How does LEAD work? In an initial immersion session, we introduce you to the key concepts of leadership and assess your individual strengths and weaknesses. Intensive leadership training is then the focus at the outset of each program year. You’ll also undergo a continuous process of practice and mentorship throughout your studies. Critical to this process is constant feedback and support from fellow students and professional coaches (see facing page). We begin charting each student’s progress from the first week, and by graduation, the results are very impressive—over 85% of our MBA students show a significant improvement in their leadership skills. Melanie Eusebe mentors students as a Leadership Coach for the LEAD program at Hult London. Melanie relishes sharing the knowledge she has gained as an independent management consultant and team leader for global companies such as IBM and EY—especially in the areas of brand management, organizational development, and operational strategy. Practical experience: The BusinessChallenge Put all the business knowledge and leadership skills you are learning to the test with this three-month project in which you and your teammates solve an existing problem for an individual company (such as your own employer), or create the business plan for a startup or social enterprise. Rise to the challenge and make a real impact The key concepts of business can certainly be introduced by a teacher, case study, or textbook. But they cannot truly be mastered until they are practiced firsthand. The Business Challenge is a three-month group project in the final modules of your program that allows you to use all the tools and techniques you’ve learned by solving a real business problem. It gives you the chance to develop and test innovative ideas that will make a difference—not only in your current job, but in your future career. How it works The competition starts in February of Year 2, when students form teams and choose a Business Challenge track. In the CEO Challenge, you solve a problem for a participating company—or for your own employer. In the Startup Challenge, you bring your own idea to life for a new product, service, or social enterprise. Throughout the remainder of the year, your team meets regularly—in person when you’re on campus or via Skype when you’re at home—to hone your innovative idea into an actionable plan, with mentorship and guidance from company officials, local mentors, and Hult professors. Rotation center: Hult San Francisco SanFrancisco is home to the biggest breakthrough companies of the 21st century, and has become a hub for the world’s most forward-thinking entrepreneurs.Technology born here by the likes of Apple,Google, and Facebook has not only brought about huge shifts in the global marketplace,it has changed the face of corporate culture.San Francisco has become a byword for both creativity and entrepreneurialism.See for yourself by taking specialization electives here. Why choose San Francisco A city that caters equally to tech giants and startups San Francisco is the ideal location for the digitally driven age we currently live in. The city has long been powered by the startup economy, earning itself a global reputation for creativity and technological wizardry. Indeed, having seen a generation of determined entrepreneurs build huge business empires out of garages and college dorm rooms, San Francisco has become the world’s premier destination for those wanting to push the boundaries of the possible. Silicon Valley, just south of the city, is the world’s leading tech hub, and is home to anyone who is anyone in the digital world including Facebook, Twitter, eBay, Uber, and Airbnb. Yet 85% of companies in the Bay Area have fewer than 10 employees. This blend of small and mighty makes for a truly unique business community, in which forward thinking and creativity are the most highly prized credentials. Networking is a way of life San Francisco intentionally blurs the boundaries between work and play, and its renowned “meet-up” culture seamlessly combines networking with socializing. Our rotation center is well-placed to take advantage of this engrained mentality, and our own networking events provide another valuable springboard into the wider business community. Hult students here tend to have an entrepreneurial mindset and don’t waste any time capitalizing on the contacts they have made—even before graduation. Situated on one of the original Seven Hills Hult’s rotation center is adjacent to Telegraph Hill and only moments away from the Financial District, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Union Square’s bustling department stores, placing you right in the middle of everything the city has to offer. Renowned architects TSAO Design designed our facilities, which are wired with state-of-the-art technology befitting a city that dominates the global tech industry. Spread over four floors and occupying 6,000 square meters, this recently renovated space features six amphitheater-style classrooms, video conferencing stations, breakout rooms, and student lounges, all with high-speed Internet to ensure you are always connected. Become part of the business community Hult San Francisco frequently hosts some of the city’s leading companies and big hitters from the startup scene. Speaker events have previously included talks by Biz Stone, Co-founder of Twitter; Robin Chase, founder of Zipcar; and Ido Leffler, Co-founder of the natural beauty brand Yes To Carrots. Global competitions such as the Google Online Marketing Challenge have become a central feature of campus life, allowing you to take full advantage of all the innovative companies headquartered nearby. 31.5Angle in degrees of Filbert Street— the steepest hill in San Francisco. 73KAverage household income in dollars, making it the highest of any city in the U.S. 1967Year the Summer of Love began in Golden Gate Park. 1Position in Bloomberg Business’s list of best American cities. 22Fortune 500 companies based in Silicon Valley. Kate Wolfenden Venture Catalyst, WWF-UK (World Wide Fund for Nature) U.K., Class of 2014 Life at Hult:Kate loved the innovative and entrepreneurial culture. For Kate, the young atmosphere on Hult’s campuses had nothing to do with age— it was created by the drive and hunger of the people. “ There are people of all ages and experiences here, but youth is represented by a lust for life in everyone. I love the classroom atmosphere, the can-do attitudes, and the hunger to learn and progress. It’s contagious.
