This document provides a list and descriptions of books in the North Sydney Boys High School library's mathematics collection (the "π Collection"). The Algebraist. Ian M. Banks
Outstanding over-the-top ‘space-opera’ style science
fiction from a Hugo Award Winner. Not really much
mathematics in here, but the title gives us an excuse
to put it in the Pi Collection. Once you have read one
in this series, you’ll want to read all ten books.
Cryptonomicon. Neal Stephenson
A classic cyberpunk novel from the master (he also
wrote “Snow Crash”) rich in mathematical alternate
history.
