Editor's Notes

  1. Started small, worked with tiny but talented agency, wanted to show the extensive and also repetitive nature of the Collections, hope that people would also click through to WI but not main aim. learned that cross department collaboration was key.
  2. Trivia quizzes always popular. Built a platform to create attractive, multimedia quizzes, collaborating on questions.
  3. Working again with Preloaded, input of Mike Jay especially important, great game, got across some messages about the history of our involvement in China which let to the Opium Wars. Distributed off site, designed for pirates, but trackable.
  4. Game portal comments, numerous and often thoughtful “ How come I only understood what I’d seen in a museum after playing this game?” 18 blog reviews, many discussing history, some economics, not all English language. Also generated comments and debate on those blogs Threads on Reddit and Metafilter, on history, ethics and economics Video reviews and walkthroughs on YouTube, also hack video Discussed in depth on Popmatter’s Moving Pixels podcast Response from conferences and other similar institutions has been positive and interested
