Romantic Love In Romeo And Juliet
Though some may simply know romantic love as an intense bond between individuals devoted to one
another, its effects in reality are not always as beautiful as the concept. Particularly when it is frowned
upon by society and the people involved also swim against the current, the consequences of this type
of love can be damaging to others outside the romance. In William Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet,
the actions of the young lovers in their desire to be together not only steer the course of their lives, but
also those of their friends, families, and other citizens in the city. The unfortunate series of events
following Romeo and Juliet s choice to reach beyond traditional gender roles, a standard courtship,
and their established social networks reveal the importance of complying with these norms. By
highlighting the chaos in Verona on the path to Romeo and Juliet s eventual demise, Shakespeare
suggests that intense romantic love that threatens relationships and expectations in the established
social order leads to tragedy. From the beginning of the play, Romeo s tendency to moon over women
is not received positively by his friends. After enduring Romeo s heartbroken moping over the
unattainable Rosaline, Benvolio encourages his cousin to pursue other ladies and take some new
infection to [his] eye (1.2. 51) so that the rank poison of the old will die (1.2. 52). Shakespeare frames
Benvolio s words as disapproval of Romeo s obsession; Benvolio sees love as a

The Reform Movements of America
American History Essay Prior to the Civil War, the United States experienced several different reform
movements. These movements included the temperance movement, education movement, prison
movements, women s rights movement, and the anti slavery movement. When glanced together, there
may initially seem to be little connection between these various different movements. However, they
were actually supported by a common theme, the liberation of the human spirit. This idea that all
humans should be free provided the support for all of the different movements. The temperance
movement was based on the idea that humanity should be free from its own vices. The education
movement linked knowledge and freedom. The prison reform movement was not based on physical
liberation, but on the idea that the spirit crushing punitive emphasis of old fashioned prisons would not
create any possibility of change in the inmates. The women s rights movement was based upon the
notion that women should not be treated as inferior to men because of gender. Finally, the anti slavery
movement did not focus solely on the idea that slavery, as an institution, was inherently bad because it
deprived people of their physical liberty without just cause, but also on how slavery was practiced in
the antebellum South and the indignities that accompanied it. The temperance movement is one of the
least understood of all the reform movements because, while it had a tremendous impact on American
society, its

Belonging Romulus, My Father and the Kite Runner Essay
Year 12 Assessment Task 2: Area of Study Belonging
We all strive to belong
To what extent is this statement true with regard to your SET text and at least ONE related text of your
own choosing?
One s understanding of belonging can broaden their understanding and acceptance of themselves and
the world around them. The statement that we all strive to belong is true, however it may take time to
belong to a certain person, place, group, community or even the larger world. This issue is explored in
Raimond Gaita s biographical memoir Romulus, My Father and Khaled Hosseini s confronting novel
The Kite Runner. Throughout these texts, the themes of personal relationships, migrant experience and
morals and values arise from the concept of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, Gaita demonstrates how his cultural upbringing in Australia has enriched his relationship
with his father, allowing him to connect to the Australian landscape, just like Romulus does with the
European landscape.
Similarly in The Kite Runner, Amir struggles to find a connection with his father, Baba. According to
Amir, their bond was a fundamental basis of their lives, however when describing Baba, he claims he
is a force of nature, using a metaphor to not only place Baba as a superior character, but leaving room
for sympathy for Amir as he, like Raimond, feels a distant sense of connection to the world of his
father. Another prime example of Amir feeling no connection to the world of his father is the soccer
games that he, whilst full of regret, participated in, just to try and feel that sense of belonging he was
hoping for. Amir would pretend to enjoy soccer even though he was hopeless and his scraggy legs
couldn t keep up with the sport. Amir s condescending tone expresses his embarrassment and hate for
the sport but the will to persevere to make his father happy, therefore demonstrating how Amir strives
to belong. Amir s personal relationship with his father was obviously dishonest which contradicts with
his father s

Public Policy Importance
Public policy has a tremendous impact on all of society s constituents; accordingly, it is vital for the
same to understand and contribute to the policy making process. In spite of this, present day data
shows an underwhelming amount of personage contributing, or even voting in any part of the process.
Such trends point to a future that is a reflection of a past in which justice, equality, and liberty are not
a natural right. The United States of America was founded upon such principles of democracy as per
an ethical social contract in which the government served the people s best interests for a common
good, yet how can an entity adequately serve a master that lacks the knowledge necessary to achieve
aforementioned. As per Newton s laws of physics any action has an equal and opposite reaction ;
public policy creates ripples in society that affect individual lives both consciously and as a byproduct.
Consequently, it is of outmost importance to understand public policy, and the effects they have on all
aspects of society. To achieve such a task, I believe that one must first understand its background,
purpose, effects, and most importantly, intricacy. With this in mind, to truly appreciate and apprehend
any public policy, one must understand the actions that led to such. Whether its economical, racial, or
moral reasons all policies have a story that led to their proposal. It is important to understand how one
got to a particular point as a consequence of previous actions in order to avoid repeating previous
errors, and policymaking is no exception. In fact, understanding what actions led to the policymaking
process of any singular policy allows an individual to act accordingly. Similarly, understanding the
past allows policymakers and constituents alike to see possible consequences of their actions. Using
the past for guidance and reference lets people predict unintended consequences and plan accordingly;
moreover, if a policy has failed in previous proposals it gives reason to avoid repeating the same
mistake. Along similar lines, examples in the history of the United States show how certain policies
are either beneficial or detrimental for the greater good of the people. Looking the past for answers

Background Of Mission And Lead Up For Failure
Background of Mission and Lead up to Failure
NASA along with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) partnered up and rolled out to launch a
sequence of space mission to probe neighboring planets such as Mercury, Venus, and Mars. The
Mariner was considered as a robotic interplanetary probe to NASA and all space officials involved
with this project. The Mariner was developed around the time of President John F. Kennedy s
administration, which was in the 1960 s. The United States was in a big race with USSR in the 1960 s
and it was referred to many people in that time as the Space Race . During this time both countries
were racing to build the most elite, sophisticated, and technologically advanced spacecraft s on the
planet. The propose of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This spacecraft also had solar panels that recharged the fuel battery and to boost power flow. In the
early years of the space program, when the Mariner 1 was launch, this was very robust, sound, and an
advanced piece of machinery. The reason why NASA and JPL made this spacecraft sophisticated was
because a couple years before 1962 there were two missions that had a stated objective to conduct a
Venus flyby however both rockets failed. The cost of Mariner was $18.5 million dollars, but in today s
world it s roughly $135 million.
Reasons why the Mariner 1 failed launched became historic was partially due to a very avoidable
error, which NASA described as a, hyphen in the data editing . However, days leading up to launch
there was speculation that NASA officials were working under a very tight schedule with a launch
window of 45 days, and that gave little time under such pressure to launch another spacecraft to
Venus. Also, since this mission was extremely technological, there was much attention by newsgroups
and the public, this made the mission very high profile and added to the amount of tense pressure for
launch.
Causes of Failure There was not one concise reason that led to the failure of Mariner 1,

Technology And Technology Summary
Technology is slowly ruining people s lives by, drawing them inside, sitting for hours, destroying their
communication skills while not being active or healthy. People barely speak to each other unless
through text on a screen, and kids rarely play outside because they have the ability to watch TV or use
social media. (Danielle Stone) This is coming from somebody who at the moment is inside writing
this on a computer. According to Sam Anderson, author of Just One More Game ... , technology is
drawing people away from reality. Anderson supports this article well, but fails to go into detail about
what it is really doing to people. Anderson gives lots of good examples in his article, about how
technology is coming a big distraction to society, by talking about what video games are doing. He
says that Instead of just passing their work around to one another on blogs, independent game
designers suddenly had a way to reach everyone not just hard core gamers, but their mothers, their
mailmen and their college professors. . (Anderson) This provides a good example to the audience of
this article, that with technology advancing it was easier for anyone and everyone to use it. Anderson
keeps using good examples to suck his audience in, by continuing to tell how it is affecting us. He tells
us how a new invention came about, making it easier to get a hold of game. Then, in 2007, the iPhone
appeared. Games were much easier to develop and easier to distribute through Apple s app

Arbitrage is influential on the economy as well as the ticket event sales market. Ticket scalping is the

market to clear. There are multiple theories as to why box offices under price their tickets, partially for
the image of a bands or sports teams, they find it crucial for their venue to be sold out. One of the
more socially acceptable theories is that the box offices have reasonable prices to ensure everyone can

This is due to the fact that Ticketmaster lacks the ability to innovate. Thus, smaller organizations
believe they have a strong chance and being a competitor. No smaller companies have been able to
target Ticketmaster s weaknesses because although it may be a downfall it is also an advantage.
Ticketmaster s technology is old and outdated, however, it is extremely solid. While other companies
attempt to make a larger, more productive website, it fails causing customers to be frustrated,
returning to Ticketmaster. When Ticketmaster started growing to rapid success they signed extended
contracts with many venues that cannot be broken. These contracts make it difficult for start up firms
to take advantage of Ticketmaster s ticket brokers and scalpers purchase the rest of the tickets at the
low box office price and meet the demands of the people willing to pay more for the same tickets. This
creates opportunities for other companies; they can purchase tickets at the low box office price and set

(Manoj Dora, 2014)[1] Encountered The key barriers by Food SMEs in the implementation of lean
manufacturing practices result from the special characteristics of food sector, such as highly perishable
products, complicated processing, extremely variable raw material, recipes and unpredictable demand.
In addition, lack of knowledge and resources makes it difficult for food processing SMEs to embark

In academia, the majority of the operations management literature focuses on the application of lean

Process Essay About Becoming Dorothy Gale
The process to becoming a new character is one that many people do not get the chance to experience.
It starts with the makeup, applied in a dimly lit dressing room, surrounded by other actors in the same
position. Foundation put on so heavily that the face resembles a just painted wall and lips stained for
weeks after the final performance. Mascara applied thinly at first. Then, darker and darker so that the
people in the back can tell that your eyelashes are there. And in one swift motion, much like the act of
painting, a dollop of crimson red lines the cheekbone in a grand finale. The makeup is what makes
you appear different. It keeps the illusion alive. Becoming Dorothy Gale (from Kansas) was a simple
process, considering my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Somewhere over the Rainbow when, suddenly, in what seemed like slow motion, the beat is heard and
I walk on stage, no longer myself. Reciting the lines is just the beginning of acting the part. The
emotion conveyed brings the character to life. Dorothy was not just a girl in a movie or a book. She
was living, breathing, growing. She was me, and I was her. This is how theatre was meant to work. As
the performance ended, the reality of what I was losing became very clear to me. I said my last line,
stood in my last position, and bowed together with the wonderful cast I got to share my journey with.
The lights dimmed, the music played in conclusion, and the curtains closed slowly, signifying the end
of a star performance. Once the black curtains hit each other, in a final round of applause, the cast
scattered in joy towards the meet and greet. All the while, hugs and congratulations were dealt out like
a hand of cards.
The happiness those around me felt was not reciprocated by, a now lonely, me. In one instant, I had
lost a part of myself that had grown in the last few months. Once the production ended, I realized that
Dorothy was gone. We were no longer each other. I sat in silence, mourning the loss of a dear friend,
before turning into the hallway to pretend one last

between OSA and hypertension; as many as one third of hypertensive patients and above 80% of those

Alcohol Higher intake of alcohol increases the blood pressure. Reducing alcohol leads to fall in the
systolic blood pressure.
Stress Psychological or environmental stress play a part in the causes of hypertension. Direct effects
of situations such as poverty, unemployment and poor education (stressors) are involved, as are other
aspects of lifestyle that are linked to hypertension.
Exercise Physical activity increases blood pressure, but people who exercise regularly have lower
blood pressures. Such people, however, also may have a healthier diet and more sensible drinking and
smoking habits.
Other dietary factors Vegetarians generally have lower BP than non vegetarians. Reducing a meat rich
diet with vegetable products reduces blood pressure. Caffeine and caffeinated drinks also increases
blood pressure and must be avoided.
THE VARIOUS BODY MECHANISMS THAT CAUSES AND INFLUENCES HYPERTENSION
The various mechanisms that cause and influences hypertension are actually built into us for good
reasons: we need them to keep our blood pressure from falling too low. But when they go somewhat
awry, they cause high blood pressure. And when that happens, we need treatment for hypertension,
ironically aimed at the same mechanisms.

The Indian Act Of 1876 And The Amendment Of 1985
Since the beginning of colonization, indigenous people of Canada have been repressed in many ways
by the Westerners. Aboriginal women have been having a really hard time, being not only aboriginal,
but also women in a male dominated society where women are seen as secondary and don t have all
the rights and privileges that men have. We will focus here on the legal discrimination against
indigenous women in Canada that came with the Indian Act of 1876 and the amendment of 1985, how
those two events influenced women. We will first study why indigenous women have been more
discriminated than indigenous men, then how the Indian Act reinforced this inequity. Then we will see
how the 1985 amendment came to be, a century later and what are the consequences of legal
discrimination for indigenous women in Canada. We will conclude that, in a context of discrimination
against natives with colonization, the Indian Act made legal injustices in detriment of indigenous
women, and that after years of favouritism against them they finally gained a bit of justice through the
amendment of 1985.
First of all, it s important to understand the context in which the Indian Act is taking place in terms of
equity for aboriginal women. With the colonization from the British and the French in Canada came
rapes, violence against indigenous population, especially women that were seen as weaker and easier
prey . After the colonizing period, violence against aboriginal women came not only from the

Filling Station
Filling Station There are a lot of talented poets, especially Elizabeth Bishop. Elizabeth was born in
Worchester, Massachusetts on 1911. Bishop family died when she was young. Later on she died in
1979. Bishop wrote a poem called Filling Station. In this poem it talks about a woman, who might had
been the writer, entered into a filling station in a small town. As she was waiting she describes how
filthy the place was. In this essay I m talking about the description of the station, describes how a
family was living there, and literary elements that were used. In the poem Filling Station is a poem
about someone, who could been the writer, who visits a town gas station. At this gas station is very
odd. She notices some things that describes how the gas station looks. For example this little filling
station oil soaked, oil permeated to a disturbing, over all black translucency. She s letting the reader
know that the oil was recently used, and she s letting the reader know that there are black puddles of
oil sitting around the gas station. Normally at the Filling Station, the workers are supposed to fill your

Similarities Between Thomas Jefferson And Slavery
Thomas Jefferson and Slavery
Thomas Jefferson had written in the Declaration of Independence that, all men are created equal. Also,
every man has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In addition, several enlightenment
thinkers in Europe believed in natural law, human progress, and a government made for the people, all
of whom inspired Jefferson. Despite this, in 1716, 500,000 African slaves were kept in the Americas,
and Jefferson was one of these people that owned slaves.
Slavery was legal in all states until 1777, when Vermont outlawed it. Six years later, Massachusetts
followed. New Hampshire removed it from their constitutional interpretation. After this, Pennsylvania,
Rhode Island, and Connecticut adopted gradual emancipation programs, meaning they gradually freed
slaves, ending it in these states. Finally, New York and New Jersey freed their slaves, leaving the
southern colonies remaining. While some people did free their slaves in the south, many did not. This
is because they heavily relied on them, not just for work, but for their status. It was woven in their
lives to the point where it was a representation of the slave owner s wealth. Jefferson hated slavery, to
the point where he made a plan to remove it in Virginia, which ended up failing. He was in a large
amount of debt at the time, so he didn t believe he could free his own slaves while he was still alive.
Thomas Jefferson had a close relationship with a slave named Sally Hemings, which was very
controversial and considered shameful at the time. James Callender said that Jefferson had fathered
several children from one of his slaves, which didn t get credit until Fawn M. Brodie published a book
in 1974 called, Thomas Jefferson: An Intimate History, where she portrayed the relationship between
Jefferson and Hemings. While most versions showed their relationship as shameful and scandalous,
she made it look like they were a happy couple, as if he fell in love with her and married when she
was 14. Others do not think this way because Jefferson was very protective of his social life, going to
extreme measures to hide it. This makes some people believe he was trying to hide something. Some
are not sure if authorities would

A bag limit is the number of fish a person could take of an individual species of fish. Some of the
major variables that scientist look for is the anatomy of the fish, human intervention and pressure of
the individual fish species, and climate. Every single species of fish is different. Baitfish are meant to
be consumed by predator fish therefore they are plentiful and usually in abundance so there are no bag
limits. Even the color of the fish is important. Red Snapper is in abundance because they are Red. In
the fish eye spectrum red is invisible so these fish are plentiful so the government does not have to put
strict regulations. Offspring is also very important some fish lay thousands of eggs because in reality
not many will survive, but bigger fish will lay less numbered fish because the chance of survival is
much higher for these fish species. Math is all around these subjects because scientist collects data and
numbers from oceans to predict and examine a bag limit. There is also statistics in bag limits because
scientist have to go out collect data on the fish and as well as the people. For example the popularity
of the fish correlates directly to the number of offspring a fish produce. If a fish produces a lot of off
spring and there s no demand for the fish then no bag limits should be placed, vice versa. In the

A non arbitrary architecture is an architecture incorporate nature and culture to define the life of a

walls. The transparency of glass windows in both houses thereby connect the two. In both houses, the
architects created a strong sense of insideness yet, at the same time, devised ways to connect inside
and outside and thereby create a robust continuity between the two. This inside outside relationship
can be translate into environmental and architectural experience in four different ways: (1) in

Commentary on The Poem of the Cid Essay
Commentary on The Poem of the Cid Poetry played a vital role in the dissemination of information
during the Crusade period. It provided a compact, easily memorized way of spreading news in a time
bereft of the benefit of mass printing. According to Michael Routledge, who penned a chapter on
Crusade songs and poetry in The Oxford Illustrated History of the Crusades, poetry was not only a
way of recording and spreading news of current events, but also served to record and extoll the virtues
and values of the ruling Medieval aristocracy. These values included commitment to one s lord, and an
acceptance of the feudal duties of auxilium (armed help in time of attack by enemies) and consilium
(counsel and rendering of justice) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a free agent, so to speak, the Cid would have been able to claim authority over whatever territory
he conquered, and could even wage war against his former lord (Nelson 1). Instead, the Cid continues
to carry out his duties as a vassal in absentia. The Cid s adventures take him deep into the interior of
Moorish Spain and yield a multitude of spoils. Throughout the poem, the Cid sends Alfonso a share of
these riches, as a token of his loyalty. On three separate occasions, the Cid sends his loyal vassal, the
knight Minaya, to deliver horses taken in battle to Alfonso. The horses, eventually totaling 330, serve
as a catalyst for the Cid regaining his lord s favor. The first attempt fails, but the second gains the Cid
the right to be reunited with his wife and two daughters. The third equine gift, after his conquest of
Valencia and subsequent defeat of a Muslim army sent to relieve the city, gains him back his former
status. In addition to portraying the Cid as a an exemplar of what a loyal vassal should be, the Poem of
the Cid also serves as a guide on how to be a excellent lord. He is generous to his followers and is
respectful of their ideas and advice. He trusts the loyal Minaya to act as his intermediary to Alfonso.
During the trial to end the Poem, the Cid s vassals offer up a challenge to arms in order to protect his
honor (Nelson 1) The University of Kansas s Lynn Nelson sees the Cid s reconciliation gifts as a test
of Alfonso s honor. She says the gifts

What Is Brokenness Essay
Brokenness is a state of mind that leaves us crushed and gasping for air as we face life s challenges.
With brokenness comes unhappiness, uncertianity, doubt, fear and disbelief.
Psalm 34:18 describes the brokenhearted and crushed person. Brokenness comes in many forms such
as broken realtionships, broken promises, broken families that ends up in grief and misery.
Today, we will address the broken women who have been thrown back by the winds and adversities of
life and are crying for a way out.
It happens to the very best of us, that throughout our journey in life, life breaks us, just like Jesus
himself was broken when he suffered and was nailed to the Cross. Often we ask ourselves. why is this
happening to me? What have I done ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He wants to restore us back to him because His Grace is sufficient Brokenness can be both good and
bad. Bad when its God s judgement and good when it leads us back to him.
I remember a time where so many things in my home were broken. In one week, I experenced my car
breaking down, our washing machine packed up and my computer broke down! There is such misery
when something is broken! Let alone when a woman is broken, she becomes a shadow of herself. I
have seen so many broken woman, crushed in spirit by the winds of adversity. The strongest women
are those that realise that they are broken, i.e going through a process that will end at some point. As
we look into the stories of broken women in the bible, we learn that only God can restore us and mend
our brokenness.

The 1320 s may sound like a countless number of years ago, but that period of time was a critical part
in the history of the Islamic World. The 1320 s were much more advanced than we thought it was.
There was global trade that connected three continents together and triggered the trade in luxury goods
and the exchange of ideas. Thus, knowledge was spread by Islamic scholars, building major
universities in well known towns. The people of the Islamic World were civilized, having achieved
many noble deeds and maintaining peace with the world. The luxuries exchanged between the three
continents of Asia, Europe and Africa gave the Islamic World many goods and sellable merchandise.

Drug Delivery For Nervous System
INTRODUCTION
Drug delivery to nervous system is still a challenge to the scientists all over the world because of the
vasculature of central nervous system, blood brain barrier (BBB) which acts as the physical barrier to
the passage of therapeutic agents. Though, quite a few delivery systems and strategies have been
developed for delivering drugs to the CNS for various disorders, most of them are invasive and lack
target specificity. Several factors need to take under consideration while designing a drug delivery
system for CNS and optimizing all the factors is a major hurdle. Binding affinity of the drug to the
transporter, enzymatic conversion and solubility of the drug, membrane surface characteristics of brain

PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
Alzheimer s disease (AD) in a deadly chronic neurodegenerative disorders which gets worse with
time. Patients suffer from short term memory loss, disorientation, rapid mood swings, behavioral
problems and ultimately encounter death. This is mainly a genetic disorder; but there are several
hypothesis which are believed to cause this disease such as reduced synthesis of acetylcholine,
deposition of amyloid beta protein and abnormalities in tau protein. In this paper, a polymeric
nanoparticle based delivery system surface attached a dual functional antibody [anti amyloid beta (Aβ)
anti transferrin receptor binding monoclonal antibody] is being proposed. Tacrine has chosen as the
drug for preparing the immunonanoparticles, which is an oral centrally acting acetylcholinesterase
inhibitor. Tacrine was a useful drug in maintaining sufficient concentration of acetylcholine (ACh) in
AD patients but has been discontinued in 2013 due to several reports of acute liver injury. The precise
mechanism of how it causes liver injury is not known, but studies showed Tacrine increase serum

Theme Of Blindness In The Country Of The Blind
In the short stories presented blindness has affected each character in one way or another. The first
story that will be discussed is the Country of the Blind. In this story it can be seen that Nuñez was
being criticized for having eyes. He stumbled on his steps and even as he tried to explain the wonders
of the world that can be seen with the eyes, he could not be understood. He watched these people go
on about their everyday lives using only their four senses and he was amazed with how much they
have been able to adapt to being blind. In this story a social issue that can be identified is stereotyping.

In this story it can be seen that the wealthy man was being stereotypical of the unkempt man. Not
believing that the man made diamonds for a living. But despite this, the wealthy man was convinced
that he was not a thief and even gave his card to this man to call in times of need. Although the
wealthy man is stereotypical of the unkempt man, blindness here can be seen in a positive light as he
still offered to help the man, believing in his honesty but not his work. This shows that despite
blindness being a hindrance for the wealthy man to trust the unkempt man, it still paved way for him
to help the diamond maker even though he did not know what happened to him in the future, he still
answered his calls/messages and tried to help him as best he could despite being skeptical of the
nature of his work or if he even was alive. In the end, he even doubted himself if he made the right
decision of letting the unkempt man walk away. Here, blindness can be seen as a sort of what if. What
if he did believe the man? What if he did buy that diamond? These questions can only be answered
now by the unkempt man should he return and show himself to the wealthy man ever

American Airlines Executive Summary
Executive Summary/Abstract American Airlines is looking to expand its market to more wealthy
consumers by offering an excusive line of aircraft consisting mostly of first class and business type
seating. This new model will be labeled under the title Elite and would market routes to and from
major city hubs during heavy business traveling hours. American Airlines will position this service as
the, Black Jet since that would be the standout feature of the aircraft. American can take advantage of
its existing market base along with its frequent fliers to sell the experience of a flight experience
beyond maximizing passengers. The target motto would be a flight redefined. American Airlines Elite
would target business, first class, and frequent flying travelers. The Primary marketing objective is to
achieve a 4 7% increase in fares per route flown by the increase of ticketing prices even with fewer
seats on the aircraft. Status matching will be offered to competing airline frequent flyers to encourage
them to travel more with American than their current choose airline. Airlines represents a $783 billion

Ronald Reagan, The Great Communicator Of The United States...
Ronald Wilson Reagan, the great communicator of the United States of America began his legacy of
embodying the conservative movement during one of the most famous speeches in American history.
Before Ronald Reagan became the fortieth president of the United States, he began his switch from
acting and movies to government and politics. Early in Reagan s career he saw himself as a democrat,
with Theodore Roosevelt as his hero. This would change thru his acting and professional career as
Ronald Reagan announced that he would choose a different path. Ronald began his turn from
Hollywood to Washington D.C. when he began to see his liberal/democratic views start to hurt the
country in which he thought his views were being represented. In 1962, in a rally for Barry Goldwater
the Republican Nominee for the 1964 election; Ronald Reagan gave one of the most prolific and
famous speeches of all time A Time for Choosing. In this speech Ronald Reagan showed the people of
America a new side of himself where he believed small government, lower taxes, and the American
spirit would allow for a new era of prosperity that the left wing had been holding back. Since the
beginning of American government there have always been two distinct parties in which the people
listen and side with the values that they believe in. For the last hundred years the two main parties
have been Republicans and Democrats. Republicans having conservative values believe in a hands off

Death Penalty Since the year 1976, around 1,462 people in the United States have been executed by
lethal injection. Practiced in 31 states and abolished in 19 the death penalty has remained a center
stone of debate since its launch in 1976. With so many differing viewpoints, arguments pertaining to
the moral issue, legal considerations and possible alternatives have been left unsettled since. The
ongoing tug of war within these topics slowly tries to chip away at the big question. Should the death

In their eyes, the death of murders relieves the burning vengeance and pain victims loved ones go
through. Opponents argue against the thought of revenge and any connection it has towards justice or
fulfilling the grief of death. They argue that vengeance only makes things worse and extends the chain
of violence, claiming it has no place in our justice system. Along with moral issues, social unfairness
such as poverty and race have always been woven into concern among the two sides. One argument
touches on the economic state of the convicted and how it affects his/her chances of being executed.
People of poverty don t have the money to hire a good legal representative leaving them with a weak
defense against their crime. I don t know of any affluent people who have been sentenced to death,
said Walter Berns, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington. People of
poverty who are given a representative by the state find that often that their defendant is ill
experienced and underpaid. Court appointed death penalty lawyers are paid barely enough to cover
costs, are usually inexperienced, and often don t put up much of a fight, said Stephen Bright, director
of the Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta. This imbalance in equity on an economic level
also rings true on an ethnic level through racial bias. In 82% of the studies

The And Nesbitt s Research
There are many different religions in the world that allow women to hold some type of leadership
position; there are also many where women are not allowed to hold such positions. With different
countries there are different popular religions that change how that society views women, not only in
religious settings but outside of worship. Lummis and Nesbitt s research help understand the sociology
of women in the clergy. Davison and Sargeant s research correlates with women the clergy by
discussing how they change public culture. Women in the clergy have a positive effect on society
because they represent how women can excel in leadership positions in the community. Lummis and
Nesbitt discuss how women achieve powerful positions but remain pastors or assistants in rural
communities and don t move up in pastoral system to larger congregations (Lummis 446). They do
contribute a consistent and steady leadership role for these congregations over time, however they are
not exposing other congregations to having women clergy (Lummis 446). By discussing this lack of
progression Lummis and Nesbitt introduce their audience to a basic struggle for women in the clergy.
Their evidence affects the audience s emotions by creating imagery for women stuck in rural areas
because they are unable to find employment elsewhere. When discussing women in the clergy, Nesbitt
states [Women are] trying to effect systemic changes to improve career opportunities for themselves

Insanity In Hamlet
Insanity is a thing which can be easily faked. A person could go into the streets, shriek wildly, say
nonsense phrases, pick fights with strangers, and eventually the cops will be called on a report of some
lunatic making a ruckus. Faking insanity for your own benefit, however, is harder to do successfully
without any unintended consequences. Take for example Shakespeare s Hamlet , a play with the
central theme of fabricated insanity for revenge purposes. Hamlet s revenge scheme about faking his
own insanity to eventually get close enough to murder his murderer uncle in a way to send him into
the darkest depths of hell never to have mercy upon him ever again doesn t go as he would have liked
it to go, ending up with a death count of unforeseen proportions which, not according to plan, included
himself. The actual faking of insanity, however, was brilliantly done by Hamlet, fooling everyone,
including the audience at some points, into thinking he had actually lost some, if not all, of his
marbles. This level of expressed lunacy from our dear Hamlet has let some conclude that he is truly
mad. A group on the other side of the coin, however, has not pinned him as crazy, but instead as a
psychopath using his craziness to his advantage. Psychopathy in humans can be either easy or hard to
diagnose, depending on what sources you go to. One of the supposed ways of singling out a
psychopath is to apply them to the Psychopathy Checklist Revised (PCL R), a set of 20 traits most

Analysis On Historical Period Of Song Essay
Introduction:
October 29, 1929, also known as Black Tuesday, the day America economic status strengths change
for the worse. October 29, 1929 was declared Black Tuesday, as it was the day the stock market
crashed. The day America lost billions of dollars, $14 billion to be exact and by the end of 1932, $74
billion of wealth simply vanished (liberty, equality, power pg. 672). As a result, unemployment rate
increased as never before, 25 percent to be exact, according to US Statistic of Labor and this was just
the beginning of a new era. Below is a better understanding as how the great depression took place in
addition to how a simple song made broken Americans feel better.

Plastic Pollution And Its Effects On Our Society
Our world has become infatuated with the idea of fast, easy, and comfortable consumption. We ve
grown accustomed to accommodating a fast pace lifestyle but we have forgotten about the
repercussions of our actions. So many products have become single use or disposable, from our
individually wrapped food to our hygiene products. Since the discovery of plastic it has become the go
to material of choice due to its cheap price of production. Unfortunately because of its high production
rate and the fact that it s essentially non biodegradable it has started to consume our planet from
landfills, to rivers, and our oceans. When talking about plastic pollution people usually think about
plastic bags and bottles but another huge product of plastic waste is a toothbrush. Currently there s
about 323,060,000 people in the United states; if you take a very rough estimate that there s at least 5
million people/ babies who don t have teeth, subtract that from the population, and then estimate that
the average person goes through 3 tooth brushes a year, you end up with 955,800,000 toothbrushes
being thrown away per year. That s 1 billion toothbrushes from America alone, disregarding the fact
that your dentist recommends you change your toothbrush at least 4 times a year. Plastic is generally
what the average toothbrush is made of. Little plastic beads are poured into a mold and then heated up
till they reach a doughy consistency, rubber detailing is then added for looks and texture

Situation: In this passage, he just found his wife after she overdosed. He was looking at her and

Importance: This passage is important to the book because it is a big scene in the book. It is significant
because it shows how he is not really surprised it happened, almost like it happens often.
Analysis: I feel like this passage is worthy of discussion because it is a heavy topic. It impacts the
story because it sets the mood and how the life in this world is. It shows that this type of thing happens
often. It reveals that Mildred is unhappy with her life. I can understand what type of person she is and
I can see how Montag is not really in love with her.

Situation: In this part of the book, Clarisse asked Montag if he was happy. He answered happy,
however he started to think if he really was happy. This made him start to wonder if he really was

Symphony 3 And Symphony 5 Comparison
In this essay, I will discuss two specific symphonies, Symphony No.3 and Symphony No.5, which are
composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 1827) was a German composer
that stood out as one of the most famous and influential composers, in both Classical era and in the
entire history of music. Beethoven was born in a family of talented musicians, both of his father and
grandfather. He composed nine symphonies, thirty five piano sonatas, in which thirty two are
numbered, ten violin sonatas, sixteen string quartets, an opera and two mass. From all of his works,
nine of his symphonies are greatly known by people, and each of them all masterpieces. Symphony
No.3 and Symphony No.5 are the most famous symphonies, and these are what I m going to discuss.
Both of the symphony have four movements. The first movement of both symphonies is Allegro con
brio, which means very fast and lively. This only defines the tempo and liveliness are similar in both
opening of the symphonies. Also, like most first movements of all Classical symphonies, the first
movement is written in the structure of a sonata form. The form typically consists of an exposition,
development, recapitulation, and coda. Although they are alike, there s still having ... Show more

In Symphony No.5, the third movement is in ternary form. The movement opens soft and slow and the
liveliness has not awakened until the whole orchestra gradually goes into a full crescendo and replays
the four note motive again. Contrary to Symphony No.5, the quick crescendo in strings then followed
by flutes almost instantly sprang the scherzo of Eroica into its liveliness. As one can easily notice,
almost everything is played in staccato for Eroica. In both of these symphonies, Beethoven makes use
of many crescendos and very commonly climaxed them off by the loud sounding of

In William Shakespeare s Hamlet, Ophelia is the most static character in the play. Instead of changing
through the course of the play, she remains suffering in the misfortunes perpetrated upon her. She falls
into insanity and dies a tragic death. Ophelia has issues surviving without a male influence, and her
downfall is when all the men in her life abandon her. Hamlet s Ophelia, is a tragic, insane character
that cannot exist on her own. In Elizabethan times, Ophelia is restricted as a woman. She is obedient
to the commands of the men in her life although she often attempts to do the right thing. Polonius,
Laertes, and Hamlet all have a grasp on Ophelia and who she is. She does not have the freedom to
change her fate as Hamlet does. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hamlet knows that she is helping her dad, Polonius, spy on him. He accuses Ophelia, and all women,
of being a breeder of sinners (Shmoop Editorial Team 1). Hamlet orders Ophelia to a nunnery, but she
cannot call him out on it because she is not supposed to know what the word means. This is not the
only criticism that Hamlet calls out to Ophelia. He says that if Ophelia is to marry a man, she will turn
her husband into a monster because she will cheat on him (Shmoop Editorial Team 1). Hamlet: If thou
dost marry, I ll give thee this plague for thy dowry: be thou as chaste as ice, as pure as snow, thou shalt
not escape calumny. Get thee to a nunnery, farewell. Or, if thou wilt needs marry, marry a fool, for
wise men know well enough what monsters you make of them. To a nunnery, go, and quickly too.
Farewell (3.1.130 134). The lack of women in Ophelia s life deprives her from any influence in her
life to help guide her. Gabrielle Dane says, Motherless and completely circumscribed by the men
around her, Ophelia has been shaped to conform to external demands, to reflect others desires (qtd. in
Brown 1). Since Ophelia has no woman influence in her life, Polonius is left as the dominant role in
her life (Brown 1). She is an obedient daughter and abides by the rules her father gives her with no
protest. She is seen as her father s property (Maki 2). Her

  • 2. Romantic Love In Romeo And Juliet Though some may simply know romantic love as an intense bond between individuals devoted to one another, its effects in reality are not always as beautiful as the concept. Particularly when it is frowned upon by society and the people involved also swim against the current, the consequences of this type of love can be damaging to others outside the romance. In William Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, the actions of the young lovers in their desire to be together not only steer the course of their lives, but also those of their friends, families, and other citizens in the city. The unfortunate series of events following Romeo and Juliet s choice to reach beyond traditional gender roles, a standard courtship, and their established social networks reveal the importance of complying with these norms. By highlighting the chaos in Verona on the path to Romeo and Juliet s eventual demise, Shakespeare suggests that intense romantic love that threatens relationships and expectations in the established social order leads to tragedy. From the beginning of the play, Romeo s tendency to moon over women is not received positively by his friends. After enduring Romeo s heartbroken moping over the unattainable Rosaline, Benvolio encourages his cousin to pursue other ladies and take some new infection to [his] eye (1.2. 51) so that the rank poison of the old will die (1.2. 52). Shakespeare frames Benvolio s words as disapproval of Romeo s obsession; Benvolio sees love as a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Reform Movements of America American History Essay Prior to the Civil War, the United States experienced several different reform movements. These movements included the temperance movement, education movement, prison movements, women s rights movement, and the anti slavery movement. When glanced together, there may initially seem to be little connection between these various different movements. However, they were actually supported by a common theme, the liberation of the human spirit. This idea that all humans should be free provided the support for all of the different movements. The temperance movement was based on the idea that humanity should be free from its own vices. The education movement linked knowledge and freedom. The prison reform movement was not based on physical liberation, but on the idea that the spirit crushing punitive emphasis of old fashioned prisons would not create any possibility of change in the inmates. The women s rights movement was based upon the notion that women should not be treated as inferior to men because of gender. Finally, the anti slavery movement did not focus solely on the idea that slavery, as an institution, was inherently bad because it deprived people of their physical liberty without just cause, but also on how slavery was practiced in the antebellum South and the indignities that accompanied it. The temperance movement is one of the least understood of all the reform movements because, while it had a tremendous impact on American society, its ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Belonging Romulus, My Father and the Kite Runner Essay Year 12 Assessment Task 2: Area of Study Belonging We all strive to belong To what extent is this statement true with regard to your SET text and at least ONE related text of your own choosing? One s understanding of belonging can broaden their understanding and acceptance of themselves and the world around them. The statement that we all strive to belong is true, however it may take time to belong to a certain person, place, group, community or even the larger world. This issue is explored in Raimond Gaita s biographical memoir Romulus, My Father and Khaled Hosseini s confronting novel The Kite Runner. Throughout these texts, the themes of personal relationships, migrant experience and morals and values arise from the concept of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, Gaita demonstrates how his cultural upbringing in Australia has enriched his relationship with his father, allowing him to connect to the Australian landscape, just like Romulus does with the European landscape. Similarly in The Kite Runner, Amir struggles to find a connection with his father, Baba. According to Amir, their bond was a fundamental basis of their lives, however when describing Baba, he claims he is a force of nature, using a metaphor to not only place Baba as a superior character, but leaving room for sympathy for Amir as he, like Raimond, feels a distant sense of connection to the world of his father. Another prime example of Amir feeling no connection to the world of his father is the soccer games that he, whilst full of regret, participated in, just to try and feel that sense of belonging he was hoping for. Amir would pretend to enjoy soccer even though he was hopeless and his scraggy legs couldn t keep up with the sport. Amir s condescending tone expresses his embarrassment and hate for the sport but the will to persevere to make his father happy, therefore demonstrating how Amir strives to belong. Amir s personal relationship with his father was obviously dishonest which contradicts with his father s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Public Policy Importance Public policy has a tremendous impact on all of society s constituents; accordingly, it is vital for the same to understand and contribute to the policy making process. In spite of this, present day data shows an underwhelming amount of personage contributing, or even voting in any part of the process. Such trends point to a future that is a reflection of a past in which justice, equality, and liberty are not a natural right. The United States of America was founded upon such principles of democracy as per an ethical social contract in which the government served the people s best interests for a common good, yet how can an entity adequately serve a master that lacks the knowledge necessary to achieve aforementioned. As per Newton s laws of physics any action has an equal and opposite reaction ; public policy creates ripples in society that affect individual lives both consciously and as a byproduct. Consequently, it is of outmost importance to understand public policy, and the effects they have on all aspects of society. To achieve such a task, I believe that one must first understand its background, purpose, effects, and most importantly, intricacy. With this in mind, to truly appreciate and apprehend any public policy, one must understand the actions that led to such. Whether its economical, racial, or moral reasons all policies have a story that led to their proposal. It is important to understand how one got to a particular point as a consequence of previous actions in order to avoid repeating previous errors, and policymaking is no exception. In fact, understanding what actions led to the policymaking process of any singular policy allows an individual to act accordingly. Similarly, understanding the past allows policymakers and constituents alike to see possible consequences of their actions. Using the past for guidance and reference lets people predict unintended consequences and plan accordingly; moreover, if a policy has failed in previous proposals it gives reason to avoid repeating the same mistake. Along similar lines, examples in the history of the United States show how certain policies are either beneficial or detrimental for the greater good of the people. The cost of Mariner was $18.5 million dollars, but in today s world it s roughly $135 million. • 11. Process Essay About Becoming Dorothy Gale The process to becoming a new character is one that many people do not get the chance to experience. It starts with the makeup, applied in a dimly lit dressing room, surrounded by other actors in the same position. Foundation put on so heavily that the face resembles a just painted wall and lips stained for weeks after the final performance. Mascara applied thinly at first. Then, darker and darker so that the people in the back can tell that your eyelashes are there. Reciting the lines is just the beginning of acting the part. The emotion conveyed brings the character to life. Dorothy was not just a girl in a movie or a book. She was living, breathing, growing. She was me, and I was her. This is how theatre was meant to work. As the performance ended, the reality of what I was losing became very clear to me. I said my last line, stood in my last position, and bowed together with the wonderful cast I got to share my journey with. The lights dimmed, the music played in conclusion, and the curtains closed slowly, signifying the end of a star performance. Once the black curtains hit each other, in a final round of applause, the cast scattered in joy towards the meet and greet. All the while, hugs and congratulations were dealt out like a hand of cards. The happiness those around me felt was not reciprocated by, a now lonely, me. In one instant, I had lost a part of myself that had grown in the last few months. Once the production ended, I realized that Dorothy was gone. We were no longer each other. Aboriginal women have been having a really hard time, being not only aboriginal, but also women in a male dominated society where women are seen as secondary and don t have all the rights and privileges that men have. We will focus here on the legal discrimination against indigenous women in Canada that came with the Indian Act of 1876 and the amendment of 1985, how those two events influenced women. We will first study why indigenous women have been more discriminated than indigenous men, then how the Indian Act reinforced this inequity. Then we will see how the 1985 amendment came to be, a century later and what are the consequences of legal discrimination for indigenous women in Canada. We will conclude that, in a context of discrimination against natives with colonization, the Indian Act made legal injustices in detriment of indigenous women, and that after years of favouritism against them they finally gained a bit of justice through the amendment of 1985. First of all, it s important to understand the context in which the Indian Act is taking place in terms of equity for aboriginal women. • 16. Similarities Between Thomas Jefferson And Slavery Thomas Jefferson and Slavery Thomas Jefferson had written in the Declaration of Independence that, all men are created equal. Also, every man has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In addition, several enlightenment thinkers in Europe believed in natural law, human progress, and a government made for the people, all of whom inspired Jefferson. Despite this, in 1716, 500,000 African slaves were kept in the Americas, and Jefferson was one of these people that owned slaves. Slavery was legal in all states until 1777, when Vermont outlawed it. Six years later, Massachusetts followed. New Hampshire removed it from their constitutional interpretation. After this, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Connecticut adopted gradual emancipation programs, meaning they gradually freed slaves, ending it in these states. Finally, New York and New Jersey freed their slaves, leaving the southern colonies remaining. While some people did free their slaves in the south, many did not. This is because they heavily relied on them, not just for work, but for their status. It was woven in their lives to the point where it was a representation of the slave owner s wealth. Jefferson hated slavery, to the point where he made a plan to remove it in Virginia, which ended up failing. He was in a large amount of debt at the time, so he didn t believe he could free his own slaves while he was still alive. Thomas Jefferson had a close relationship with a slave named Sally Hemings, which was very controversial and considered shameful at the time. James Callender said that Jefferson had fathered several children from one of his slaves, which didn t get credit until Fawn M. Brodie published a book in 1974 called, Thomas Jefferson: An Intimate History, where she portrayed the relationship between Jefferson and Hemings. While most versions showed their relationship as shameful and scandalous, she made it look like they were a happy couple, as if he fell in love with her and married when she was 14. Others do not think this way because Jefferson was very protective of his social life, going to extreme measures to hide it. This makes some people believe he was trying to hide something. Throughout the poem, the Cid sends Alfonso a share of these riches, as a token of his loyalty. On three separate occasions, the Cid sends his loyal vassal, the knight Minaya, to deliver horses taken in battle to Alfonso. The horses, eventually totaling 330, serve as a catalyst for the Cid regaining his lord s favor. He stumbled on his steps and even as he tried to explain the wonders of the world that can be seen with the eyes, he could not be understood. He watched these people go on about their everyday lives using only their four senses and he was amazed with how much they have been able to adapt to being blind. In this story it can be seen that the wealthy man was being stereotypical of the unkempt man. Not believing that the man made diamonds for a living. But despite this, the wealthy man was convinced that he was not a thief and even gave his card to this man to call in times of need. Although the wealthy man is stereotypical of the unkempt man, blindness here can be seen in a positive light as he still offered to help the man, believing in his honesty but not his work. This shows that despite blindness being a hindrance for the wealthy man to trust the unkempt man, it still paved way for him to help the diamond maker even though he did not know what happened to him in the future, he still answered his calls/messages and tried to help him as best he could despite being skeptical of the nature of his work or if he even was alive. In the end, he even doubted himself if he made the right decision of letting the unkempt man walk away. Here, blindness can be seen as a sort of what if. What if he did believe the man? What if he did buy that diamond? These questions can only be answered now by the unkempt man should he return and show himself to the wealthy man ever ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Ronald Wilson Reagan, the great communicator of the United States of America began his legacy of embodying the conservative movement during one of the most famous speeches in American history. Before Ronald Reagan became the fortieth president of the United States, he began his switch from acting and movies to government and politics. Early in Reagan s career he saw himself as a democrat, with Theodore Roosevelt as his hero. This would change thru his acting and professional career as Ronald Reagan announced that he would choose a different path. Ronald began his turn from Hollywood to Washington D.C. when he began to see his liberal/democratic views start to hurt the country in which he thought his views were being represented. In 1962, in a rally for Barry Goldwater the Republican Nominee for the 1964 election; Ronald Reagan gave one of the most prolific and famous speeches of all time A Time for Choosing. In this speech Ronald Reagan showed the people of America a new side of himself where he believed small government, lower taxes, and the American spirit would allow for a new era of prosperity that the left wing had been holding back. In their eyes, the death of murders relieves the burning vengeance and pain victims loved ones go through. Opponents argue against the thought of revenge and any connection it has towards justice or fulfilling the grief of death. They argue that vengeance only makes things worse and extends the chain of violence, claiming it has no place in our justice system. Along with moral issues, social unfairness such as poverty and race have always been woven into concern among the two sides. One argument touches on the economic state of the convicted and how it affects his/her chances of being executed. People of poverty don t have the money to hire a good legal representative leaving them with a weak defense against their crime. I don t know of any affluent people who have been sentenced to death, said Walter Berns, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington. People of poverty who are given a representative by the state find that often that their defendant is ill experienced and underpaid. Court appointed death penalty lawyers are paid barely enough to cover costs, are usually inexperienced, and often don t put up much of a fight, said Stephen Bright, director of the Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta. • 34. The And Nesbitt s Research There are many different religions in the world that allow women to hold some type of leadership position; there are also many where women are not allowed to hold such positions. With different countries there are different popular religions that change how that society views women, not only in religious settings but outside of worship. Lummis and Nesbitt s research help understand the sociology of women in the clergy. Davison and Sargeant s research correlates with women the clergy by discussing how they change public culture. Women in the clergy have a positive effect on society because they represent how women can excel in leadership positions in the community. Lummis and Nesbitt discuss how women achieve powerful positions but remain pastors or assistants in rural communities and don t move up in pastoral system to larger congregations (Lummis 446). They do contribute a consistent and steady leadership role for these congregations over time, however they are not exposing other congregations to having women clergy (Lummis 446). By discussing this lack of progression Lummis and Nesbitt introduce their audience to a basic struggle for women in the clergy. Their evidence affects the audience s emotions by creating imagery for women stuck in rural areas because they are unable to find employment elsewhere. When discussing women in the clergy, Nesbitt states [Women are] trying to effect systemic changes to improve career opportunities for themselves and other ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 36. Insanity In Hamlet Insanity is a thing which can be easily faked. A person could go into the streets, shriek wildly, say nonsense phrases, pick fights with strangers, and eventually the cops will be called on a report of some lunatic making a ruckus. Faking insanity for your own benefit, however, is harder to do successfully without any unintended consequences. Take for example Shakespeare s Hamlet , a play with the central theme of fabricated insanity for revenge purposes. Hamlet s revenge scheme about faking his own insanity to eventually get close enough to murder his murderer uncle in a way to send him into the darkest depths of hell never to have mercy upon him ever again doesn t go as he would have liked it to go, ending up with a death count of unforeseen proportions which, not according to plan, included himself. The actual faking of insanity, however, was brilliantly done by Hamlet, fooling everyone, including the audience at some points, into thinking he had actually lost some, if not all, of his marbles. This level of expressed lunacy from our dear Hamlet has let some conclude that he is truly mad. A group on the other side of the coin, however, has not pinned him as crazy, but instead as a psychopath using his craziness to his advantage. Psychopathy in humans can be either easy or hard to diagnose, depending on what sources you go to. One of the supposed ways of singling out a psychopath is to apply them to the Psychopathy Checklist Revised (PCL R), a set of 20 traits most ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

October 29, 1929 was declared Black Tuesday, as it was the day the stock market crashed. The day America lost billions of dollars, $14 billion to be exact and by the end of 1932, $74 billion of wealth simply vanished (liberty, equality, power pg. 672). As a result, unemployment rate increased as never before, 25 percent to be exact, according to US Statistic of Labor and this was just the beginning of a new era. Below is a better understanding as how the great depression took place in addition to how a simple song made broken Americans feel better. • 38. Plastic Pollution And Its Effects On Our Society Our world has become infatuated with the idea of fast, easy, and comfortable consumption. We ve grown accustomed to accommodating a fast pace lifestyle but we have forgotten about the repercussions of our actions. So many products have become single use or disposable, from our individually wrapped food to our hygiene products. Since the discovery of plastic it has become the go to material of choice due to its cheap price of production. Unfortunately because of its high production rate and the fact that it s essentially non biodegradable it has started to consume our planet from landfills, to rivers, and our oceans. When talking about plastic pollution people usually think about plastic bags and bottles but another huge product of plastic waste is a toothbrush. Currently there s about 323,060,000 people in the United states; if you take a very rough estimate that there s at least 5 million people/ babies who don t have teeth, subtract that from the population, and then estimate that the average person goes through 3 tooth brushes a year, you end up with 955,800,000 toothbrushes being thrown away per year. That s 1 billion toothbrushes from America alone, disregarding the fact that your dentist recommends you change your toothbrush at least 4 times a year. Plastic is generally what the average toothbrush is made of. Little plastic beads are poured into a mold and then heated up till they reach a doughy consistency, rubber detailing is then added for looks and texture ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 1827) was a German composer that stood out as one of the most famous and influential composers, in both Classical era and in the entire history of music. Beethoven was born in a family of talented musicians, both of his father and grandfather. He composed nine symphonies, thirty five piano sonatas, in which thirty two are numbered, ten violin sonatas, sixteen string quartets, an opera and two mass. From all of his works, nine of his symphonies are greatly known by people, and each of them all masterpieces. Symphony No.3 and Symphony No.5 are the most famous symphonies, and these are what I m going to discuss. Both of the symphony have four movements. The first movement of both symphonies is Allegro con brio, which means very fast and lively. This only defines the tempo and liveliness are similar in both opening of the symphonies. Ophelia has issues surviving without a male influence, and her downfall is when all the men in her life abandon her. Hamlet s Ophelia, is a tragic, insane character that cannot exist on her own. In Elizabethan times, Ophelia is restricted as a woman. She is obedient to the commands of the men in her life although she often attempts to do the right thing. He says that if Ophelia is to marry a man, she will turn her husband into a monster because she will cheat on him (Shmoop Editorial Team 1). Hamlet: If thou dost marry, I ll give thee this plague for thy dowry: be thou as chaste as ice, as pure as snow, thou shalt not escape calumny. Get thee to a nunnery, farewell. Or, if thou wilt needs marry, marry a fool, for wise men know well enough what monsters you make of them. To a nunnery, go, and quickly too. Farewell (3.1.130 134). Gabrielle Dane says, Motherless and completely circumscribed by the men around her, Ophelia has been shaped to conform to external demands, to reflect others desires (qtd. in Brown 1).
