Reasons For The Collapse Of The Han And Mayan Empires
A number of complex and enduring empires have dominated large parts of Afro Eurasia, and Meso
America. Among these were the Han Empire in China, the Roman Empire in the Mediterranean Basin,
and the Maya in Meso America. These empires had wealth, power, and they are a vast size, but they
all suffered their unfortunate collapse. There are multiple factors that contribute to the collapse of
these empires such as warfare, taxes, the environment, problems with the government, religion, and
shortage of resources like food and water. The reasons for the collapse of the Han and the Mayan
empires are very similar. However, there are also some striking differences of the reasons why these
empires collapsed. The Han Empire s disintegration happened because of 3 reasons: warfare,
governmental problems, taxes, and shortage of resources like food and water. Warfare had an impact
on the failure of the Han Empire because they needed a lot of strong and efficient armies which led to
the need for manpower, food, horses, and weapons. These needs couldn t be fulfilled because the taxes
were so high (governmental problem) that the peasants had no way of paying their taxes resulting
many joining rich land owning generals lands which means that these peasants are now under their
command. Since these peasants left their land to join those that were rich, their plots of ... Show more

these empires since it is mainly the start of more issues like government problems and riots which will
eventually cause the destruction of the empire. To further explain, in Document 9, it states, With entire
communities engaged in warfare, fields were left fallow and water control systems deteriorated. This
means that war changed everyone s lives and made everyone not care about their community resulting

The Moral Of The Story Of Antigone
There is no such thing as an accident; an accident fate misnamed. Outside the city gates, Antigone tells
Ismene that Creon has ordered that Eteocles, who died defending the city, is to be buried with full
honors, while the body of Polynices, the invader, is left to rot. Furthermore, Creon has declared that
anyone attempting to bury Polynices shall be publicly stoned to death. Outraged, Antigone reveals to
Ismene a plan to bury Polynices in secret, despite Creon s order. When Ismene timidly refuses to defy
the king, Antigone angrily rejects her and goes off alone to bury her brother. This play creates an
underlying theme or moral, the moral of a story is often an implied lesson you can learn from a
character s experience. In Antigone, the moral of the story is that of fate. This moral is incorporated
through the actions of both Creon and Antigone. The moral also corresponds with a recurring theme of
the abuse of power, something that Creon is more than guilty of. This theme is incorporated in the
many words and actions brought forward by Creon, the king of Thebes. Antigone, a young, ambitious,
powerful beyond her knowledge girl sets the reader up with her awareness of the power of fate, in
which she attributes all the tragedy in her family to the almighty Zeus. Fate being the upcoming of
events beyond a person s control, something that is destined to happen. We see fate throughout the
story occur over again, it is a common action bestowed upon both Creon and Antigone.

Essay on The Anglican Communion Church
Anglicanism is a denomination within Christianity comprising the Church of England and churches
which are historically tied to it or have similar beliefs, worship practices and church structures.
Anglicans base their faith on the Bible, traditions of the apostolic the concept of apostolic succession,
and writings of the Church Fathers. Anglicanism forms one of the branches of Western Christianity,
having fully declared its independence from the Holy See at the time of the Elizabethan Religious
Settlement. (Sentamu, 2012) The Anglican Church of Southern Africa is the province of the Anglican

In modern times, the emergence of Anglo Catholic traditions have widely been attributed to the
general emphasis of formal worship and resistance to modernisation . Father Dane Elsworth, an
Anglican priest in Durban, stated in an interview that the Anglican church has largely been effected by
liberal minded people , which he asserts has lead to many losses in terms of liturgical practice. The
modern day Anglo Catholic movement can be traced back to the Oxford Movement of the Victorian
era. One of the main objectives of the Oxford Movement was the assertion that the Church of England
was a divinely founded institution, which adheres to the Apostolic Succession and of the Book of
Common Prayer acting as its rule of faith . The prime idea was that Anglicanism was not at all a
Protestant denomination, but rather an off shoot of the Catholic Church, together with the Roman
Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox churches. It was argued by the

Lab Report Determining The Molarity Of Acid
The lab s purpose is to standardize a prepared sodium hydroxide solution and use it to determine the
molarity of an unknown acid. Moreover, acids and bases react with the known stoichiometric ratios
based on the coefficients of the balanced chemical reactions. If the stoichiometric ratio of an acid base
reaction is known the unknown concentration can be determined, however the reaction must have
gone through completion and the number of moles of one of the components needs to known. The pH
scale can be used to determine the change in concentration of an acid or base. The pH scale is
calculated through the formula (pH = log[H+]). Furthermore, when an acidic compound interacts with
basic compound, the concentration of hydrogen decreases, therefore

The Role Of Tattoo Lack In Pop Culture
It is amazing how big a role tattoo ink plays in the whole pop culture scene. The artist would still be
an artist but his or her work would lack the permanency that the ink provides. Colors, shapes and
words would be nothing more than a faded memory. But with the ink comes a lasting work of art that
is there for the world to see. There is more to ink than what most people realize.
Tattoo ink is produced through a chemical process. It is comprised of a pigment or dye that is mixed
with a carrier. Depending on the quality level of the ink, a carrier solution can be any number of
products some of which can be toxic and deadly to the human body.
The oldest record of pigment is that of ground minerals and perhaps black charred coal or burnt ...

The homemade tattoo ink is produced by mixing a dye with a carrier such as ethyl alcohol or vodka.
The problems arise when an antibacterial agent is not included in the mixture. A tattoo machine
pierces the skin and the ink is inserted. Without proper bacterial safeguards the open wound can
become seriously infected and result in blood poisoning. There have been some instances of death
associated with poorly done tattoos and homemade ink.
There will always be those individuals interested in making the tattoo ink themselves. If you
absolutely must make your own or you are simply curious as to the process, it is important to

Background And Setting Of An Air Force Base Essay
Comments: Extra stuff is here about the background and setting. For people not familiar with the
setting of an Air Force Base, I ve written background and setting descriptions.
Skip to the Observation section if desired.
I was disappointed that my hypothesis did not prove correct. However, by walking through the store
after the observation time some of my hypothesis was vindicated when I found people forming groups
inside the store.
I like to watch group dynamics. The interactions between people draw my eyes attention. The human
dynamic makes this interesting, but only if they are interacting. As far as my lens goes, if people aren t
interacting, there s nothing happening.
Background. When people agree to defend the United States by putting on a military uniform, they are
commonly referred to as being in the military. Many papers have been written about being in the
military, but I think the meaning is unique and personal to each member of the armed forces. To me,
after 17 years of being on active duty wearing the Air Force uniform, I am in the military just as a non
military person is in society. The military lifestyle is a microcosm of the larger American way of life.

The Creation Of The United Nations
The creation of the United Nations (UN), the largest organization in the world introduced a new
reform for collective security around the world after the failure of the League of Nations. Such a
reform is vital for the international community as it zealously promotes concord and security, which is
the most important goal in the 21st century. Thus, has the UN been successful in promoting
international peace and security? To an extent, they have been when it comes to certain economical,
humanitarian and environmental conflicts that occur within particular situations. However, one must
take into account that the UN has failed in promoting such an itinerary when it came to the nuclear
proliferation, the failure to uphold amity in Sri Lanka, Rwanda and Srebrenica Massacre.
The failure of the League of Nations caused the establishment of the United Nations after the Second
World War in 1945. After the establishment of the UN in 1945, the world became divided
ideologically into two camps, whose leaders the USSR and the US treated each other in total suspicion
and appeared to oppose each other on every major issue. (Diel Latif) It was impossible to create
international peace and security when the world has been divided into two camps who distrusted and
oppose each other.

Generational Themes In Hamlet
Hamlet is a play that despite age, can deliver themes that consistently transcend generational
differences, even when those differences span hundreds of years. It is the strength of these themes in
Hamlet that has given the play such overwhelming cultural gravitas that allows it to remain relevant to
this day. As such, it is a highly appropriate play for high school students to study. The core messages
of generational conflict, unfolding to one s true self, and morality are struggles faced by both Hamlet,
and high school students. Consequently, this can motivate students in their studies when they discover
a character, that despite the difference in time, is so easily relatable. When students recognize
similarities between Hamlet and themselves, such as a distaste for the tedious old fools (2.2.219) with
their plentiful lack of wit (2.2.199), it creates a connection between the students and this seemingly
ancient piece of literature. A connection, that hopefully after the high school level, can be nurtured
into a passion for literature. A connection that allows for greater insight and analysis at this current
level. A connection, that if students are discouraged from making now, they are unlikely to make later
in their lives, as once they grow older the heyday in the blood is tame. (3.4.69) and they will no longer
be able to connect with the younger characters such as Hamlet, or the young Fortinbras, / Of
unimproved mettle hot and full (1.1.95 96).

What are the Trade Barriers into entering an Asian Market?
Trade barriers are the ways that governments or public are familiarizing to make imported goods or
services less economical than locally produced goods and services. For an American company to make
an exchange and enter the Asian sector, they need to identify which country they would like to
establish their business and to identify the trade barriers for that exact country. There are several
barriers such as government imposed barriers are the ones that are connected to import regulations,
import quotas, tariffs and product specifications. Invincible trade barriers were linked to cultural and
social conditions or on the government s policy. The visible trade barriers were linked to the concern
of tariff and non tariff barriers. Tariff barriers were related to high and low tariff rates of certain goods
but non tariff barriers were related to quotas, norms and consumer protection measures.
U.S firms need to understand certain types of the Asian market such as employment relationships and

What Are The Causes Of Appeasement Cause Ww2
Throughout the end of the 1920s and the 1930s, there were many signs of a war, due to the rise of

The first cause of World War II was Hitler s ideas. Hitler was Germany s dictator during World War II,

meet what Google current is able to do with their advertising and how people search the web. People
have a choice to use either website to find their information that they want or advertise, but nothing at
the moment can compete with where Google s overall market share is. Yahoo and Bing are other
substitutes in the market. When looking closely at certain countries like Yahoo, for example, Yahoo
does not even make up 20% of the market. In the United States, since 2004 Google s market share has
been above it competitors starting at roughly 35% which at the time was close to that of Yahoo. As of
2009, Google represented roughly 68% of the American market where as, both Yahoo and Microsoft
market shares plummeted. Both of their market shares were under 20% which is no comparison to
Google in terms of their search engine market. In 34 countries represent in exhibit 3 of the case,
Google s market share as an international search engine was over 70% of each countries market.

The antagonist of all life, death people quiver at the sight of the word. My job is to let the process of
death happen. I come and go into people s lives, most humans can t even see me, and only the ones
near death can. Once you see me, you re swallowed into the jaws of death. It s a miserable job, but
someone has to do it. Today is a particularly miserable day because I have to go to a care home the
home of the living dead. I had to retrieve a human called Vivian. I looked at her papers. Her life was
as intricate as a Michelangelo painting; a life well lived, however every detail beautifully crafted. She
had the freedom which I never had and probably never will. I had arrived at the care home. It was
decorated; fully in beige it was ironic because the ancient humans were in the beige years of their
lives. Their once vivid and radiant lives like the feathers of a peacock had become beige and tedious
like the care homes comatose decoration. The ancient humans were just sitting in the waiting room
they were like mannequins. The sight was quite institutional and depressing. Vivian was not there I
checked into different rooms, however I had finally found her, she was a decrepit woman but she still
had some time left. Next to her was Margaret over the years I had seen her quite often. She was
vigorous unlike her friend Vivian. They were both wearing dresses Vivian a purple dress as ominous
as the black clouds gathering in the sky on the other hand Margaret was wearing an orange

Role of Retinal Waves on Three Aspects of Visual System...
Periodic spontaneous activity is found in many parts of the developing central nervous system
including the spinal cord, cortex, hippocampus and retina, and evidence suggests that this activity
could underlie aspects of development such as axon guidance, local circuit formation and
establishment of sensory maps (Feller, 1999). In the retina, this phenomenon has been studied in detail
because its circuitry is stereotypic and its activity can be manipulated easily in development. Before
eye opening, retinal circuits undergo a great deal of maturation and refinement. The immature circuits
spontaneously generate propagating bursts of action potentials called retinal waves. Retinal waves
correlate the firing of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) and play a role in establishing and refining circuits
in the visual system, but there is a great deal of controversy about whether waves play an instructive
or a permissive role in neuronal development. The term instructive implies that retinal activity
contains information that affects the formation of synaptic connections, while the term permissive
implies that activity is necessary at some minimum level in order for the refinement to occur. This
review will focus on the role of retinal waves on three aspects of visual system development eye
specific segregation in the thalamus, retinotopic refinement in the superior colliculus, and
establishment of cortical columns and summarize the existing arguments for the role of retinal waves

regarding the subculture of scuba divers. Scuba divers get to explore new, exciting, and breathtaking
regions in the ocean that many people never get to experience in their whole lives. Scuba divers hold
important roles in society because of the discoveries they make on a daily basis. They provide much

As time progressed, the equipment that was used for scuba diving began to be perfected, and many
workout clubs began featuring classes to train people how to dive (Ed LaRochelle, 2009). This
allowed scuba diving to become a leisure activity that anyone could engage in (Ed LaRochelle, 2009).
Jacques Cousteau was a famous scuba diver who made many discoveries, including many new
innovative tools and equipment such as the aquatic lung (Ryan Spence, 2010). He also produced over
100 television episodes discussing the different aspects of scuba diving along with his new inventions
(Ryan Spence, 2010). Sylvia Earle was another recognizable person in the field of scuba diving (Sue
Vander Hook, 2001). She was a famous figure because she was the first person ever to dive to two
hundred and fifty feet breathing compressed air in a Jim Suit, and she broke many records for deepest
dives in submersibles (Sue Vander Hook, 2001). Thirdly, Augustus Siebe created a diving suit that
included a copper helmet and rubber material for a more flexible suit (John Bantin, 2007). This
invention by Siebe allowed divers to dive to deeper depths into the ocean and explore more wrecks
and ocean features (John Bantin, 2007). Jacques Cousteau once said, Innovation is nothing more than
the tool of the explorer... If you need something, you make it (Ryan Spence, 2010: 12). These

How Is Albert Einstein Honorable
The definition of honor is the great respect, fairness, honesty to someone s beliefs, (Dictionary.com).
My view of honor is showing respect to someone and doing something for someone else before you. I
believe that an example of someone who is honorable is the great German scientist Albert Einstein.
Albert Einstein accomplished many great things that prove he was an honorable person. Some of his
accomplishments were winning the Noble Peace Prize, becoming an Honorary Doctorate at many

Taking a Look at John Milton
Often being ranked side by side with William Shakespeare and John Keats, John
Milton is considered one of the most renowned English poets in the world of literature, as journalist
and politician Joseph Devlin states, ... [T]he three greatest works are those of Homer, Dante and
Shakespeare. These are closely followed by the works of Virgil and Milton. Many make the
misconception that Milton is part of the Romanticism movement along with Mary Shelly and William
Blake but Milton s career took place during the Late Renaissance and the Restoration Age. Paradise
Lost and On His Blindness are two of Milton s finest works; Milton incorporated the sacred telling s
of the Bible into these two poems by analyzing and elaborating on the teachings of Christianity to a
depth that had not previously been reached. The reoccurring theme found in his work are
disobedience, eternal providence and justification. Milton was not only a poet but also a scholarly man
of letters and a civil servant for the Commonwealth of England, creating a variety of literature from
prose to political pamphlets.
Having written in English, Latin and Italian, Milton earned international success as he wrote about
deep personal conflictions as well as various works regarding the religious flux and political upheaval
taking place during the late 17th century. Many of Milton s work written in foreign languages, tend to
show a more personal side of him than works written in English. Observes English critic Harold

At the very beginning of the film when we see the aged Private Ryan making his way towards the

Characteristics Of Deep-Sea Creature Adaptions
Deep Sea Creature Adaptions Deep Sea creatures in the Bathypelagic Zone and lower must adapt to
survive. Adapting to this harsh environment didn t take only a few years, this process has occured over
millions of years and will continue to occur. Some characteristics that the organisms adapted are
things like: the ambush strategy, extended spines, smaller sizes, deep sea giantism, bioluminescence,
transparant skins, large mouths, large teeth, large stomachs, large eyes, slow metabolic rates, lateral
lines, hermaphroditism, and chemosynthesis. Scientists are still searching in the deep sea because for
organisms still not discovered. All of these adaptions contribute to the survival of deep sea creatures in
the low pressure, temperature, and low food source environment.
Bathypelagic Zone Adaptions 1,000 4,000 (3,000 13,000 ft) meters deep in the ocean where there is a
total abscence of sunlight. The large, dark ocean lessens the chance of animals catching prey. This
zone has the greatest temperature changes compared to the other zones, it contains thermocline, which
causes water temperatures to change dramatically with depth. In this wide ocean, all organisms do not
have the energy to endlessly search for food, forcing many organisms to adapt to a strategy called The
Ambush Strategy , which is when they sit and wait for prey to get closer and they attack them when
the food when they re close enough, they have also adapted to having a long dorsal spine that floats
above its head with a photophore which acts as a fishing pole to bait other animals. An example of this
sort of fish is called the Deep Sea Angler. Animals in this zone also adapted to be smaller in size
because they are entirely made of water with no air space due to high pressures. If they had air space
inside of them, the open space in their body would crush them completely. The pressure of the
Bathypelagic Zone is 800 times greater than the surfaces pressure. This is the cause of their less
developed internal organs, small eyes, thinner skin, smaller sizes compared the animals in the
Mesopelagic and Epipelagic Zone, which are located above the Bathypelagic Zone. If humans were to

Jewish History
Ever since the Jews were driven from their homeland (now known as Israel) they have faced
discrimination and prejudice, mainly due to their beliefs and culture. They spread throughout the

however in Europe the population was mainly Christian and the Jews found themselves being branded
as outsiders. The reason Jewish and Christian populations couldn t get along was due to different
religious beliefs and for many years the Church taught of how it believed the Jews had killed Jesus,

circulated throughout Europe and America and it helped fuel Nazism in the 1930 s.
Meanwhile during this period Frances Jewish population was far less than Easten Europe. French Jews
had been the first in Europe to be given equal rights as citizens and enjoyed freedom throughout
France. However in 1894, French Captain Alfred Dreyfus, a French Jew, was tried for high treason

Europe.

Hence, agencies or groups should consider location when memorializing an event or person and when

that is why, with the Holocaust museum, many were outraged because it was going to be in a location

In Source A, it states, communities . . . come together in an act of [viewing] a holy site, [and] seeing as

Abstract The article focuses on one of the most serious accusations brought against Descartes and
modern philosophy, namely the dualism of substance . The accusers claim that the human body and
soul were viewed as completely separate; consequently, their relationship as such and the united being

from the body did not originate with Descartes; it was formulated much earlier, and repeated by a

dualism may be viewed as a locus obscurus in the philosophical thought. It is an obscure place not
only because it has been inadequately examined or debated. Rather because recent history has
accepted it completely as the symbolic thesis of a whole tradition of thought. Therefore, it is not

Persuasive Essay On Rap Music
Many believe that rap music has taken a complete 180 in the industry and has turned their lyrics of
inspiration and positivity, to drugs and gang violence. Although several signs can point to this
statement being true, rap music does not encourage teens to act violently. In fact, many artists/rappers
spread positive messages across, giving solutions, and inspiration to the audience.
Parents were and still are on the fence of their kids listening to rap music. The explicit types of rap
music are poisoning the minds of young teens and can even encourage them to act in the a violent
manner or rebel. Although, that is for explicit lyrics, not all rap has explicit lyrics. Altogether, rap
music does not encourage teen violence in any way and many individual artists even teach their
audience how to act positively. Teenagers seem to click easier to song lyrics, whether it s country, rap,
rock, or pop. It can affect teenagers in a positive and negative way, but violence being said in the
lyrics does not cause an indication of aggression for the listener. The lyrics may describe their
situation perfectly, what they go through and how they feel. That s why we always have those catchy
radio tunes stuck in our heads. Alison Churchill, a fan of rapper Eminem from Newsday feed shares
her input on what it can do to younger peers. But she thinks the song could have a positive impact, if it
can hit a nerve with a teenager and prompt them to go talk to someone about it. Because, Churchill
says, The more we talk about a subject, the easier it is to fix. If teens don t usually have anyone to talk
to, it can cause an empty feeling of loneliness that can turn into urges of depression, anxiety, mental
health issues. When rap music hits home for the younger generation it s telling them to open up to
somebody and share what you have to say. Talking about something that is bothersome can be a great
solution for those who need or want it.
Rap music was creating a negative influence throughout the music industry for awhile, it s agreeable
that modern day rap today mostly involves drugs, gangs, violence, money, etc. Although, a lot of it
also gives inspiration or at least has that goal being set when creating the music. Most

illustrates the theme that a desire for material possessions has great power to destroy an individual,

The syntax of this conversation is short. Because of its brevity, Maupassant suggests that Madame
Loisel has greatly changed and longs for her simple life. When she lost the necklace and had to work
for ten years to repay it, she took on more responsibility through labor. It took a toll on her body, and
she yearned for her less complicated life. Later in the paragraph, on the top of page 28, the sentence
structure starts to become more lengthy. Madame Loisel tells Madame Forestier that she bought a
diamond necklace like the one she lost and Loisel and her husband have been working to repay the
debt for ten years. She says, I brought you back another just like it. And for this we have been ten
years paying. You can understand that it was not easy for us, who had nothing (28). In this passage, as
the sentences get longer, it suggests that the length of time that Madame Loisel has been working to
repay the money has been long. It has aged her greatly and her life now is much more complicated
than before. The lengthy sentence structure supports the theme that material possessions have the
power to destroy an individual. When Madame Loisel was forced to repay the debt of the necklace she
had lost, she and her husband had to work for a decade. The physical labor made them both mentally
and physically

Should Trade Sanctions Be Stopped Essay
SHOULD ALL TRADE SANCTIONS BE STOPPED?
To most of the world, sanctions are a mixed blessing. On the one hand, they reinforce trade rules and
promote respect for them. On the other hand, they tend to undermine the principles of free trade and
provoke a kind of trade envy (Charnovitz) in other international organizations.
Trade retaliation goes back quite a ways; we see examples of it in much of US law:
Antidumping Act of 1916, which has seen little use.(Charnovitz)
International Labor Organization, from the Treaty of Versailles 1919, which served as an international
dispute system, but no economic measures were ever recommended until 2000, against Burma.
(Charnovitz)

World leaders often decide that the most obvious alternatives to sanctions are no good military action
would be too strong and diplomatic protests too weak. Sanctions can provide a satisfying dramatic
display, but avoid the high costs of war.(Library of Economics) This isn t to say that sanctions don t
cost a thing, just that they re often less costly than the alternatives.
A second advantage to sanctions can be seen through foreign pressure to promote internal change,
assuming that the sanctioned government wants to comply with the rules, but can t because of
domestic politics.(Charnovitz) We can see in many cases that sanctions are being imposed primarily
for signaling purposes either for the benefit of allies, other third parties, or once again, their own
citizens. If the sanctions aren t carefully targeted or the costs are too high for the sanctioning country,
the intended signal may be lost.(Library of Economics)
Sanctions intended to change the behavior or government of a target country are very difficult to
design. They have to be imposed as quickly and easily as possible.(Library of Economics) By moving
too slowly, it gives the target country time to adjust by finding alternative markets, finding new allies,
and by gaining domestic support of its own policies.
Another advantage of trade sanctions is the fact that they have the power to be enacted

How Religion Can Lead To Violence By Gary Gutting
In his article, How Religion Can Lead to Violence , demonstrates a man who, however he s a
philosopher and disturbed with religion, is totally mindful to what atheists and secularists have been
stating for a large length of time. Gary clarifies the connection of religion to slim tolerance and the
violence it can prompt.
Gary Gutting is an educator of philosophy at the University of Notre Dame and a supervisor of Notre
Dame Philosophical Reviews. He is the writer of seven scholarly books and editorial manager of five
others, and has distributed more than forty articles. His primary regions of examination are philosophy
of science, reasoning of religion, and twentieth century French philosophy.

What It Means To Be Grateful
What does it mean to be grateful? Why do we need to be grateful? As a Christian why is it important
to be grateful? Based on what we have done for the past week, which is writing down what we were
grateful each day, I have learned to look at life a little differently. Gratitude is not just an expression. It
is not temporary feeling. I have learned that gratitude is something much more permanent and
everlasting. Gratitude is a genuine feeling that can help you look at the world in a whole new beautiful
world. Gratitude can make this ugly world beautiful. In the week where I was inputting into a journal
what I am grateful for, has been a week of pure joy and amazement. I was able to look at my day and
really reflect on what effect of what people have on me and what effect I have on them. For example,
on Saturday I wrote that someone held my door without me realizing it. I was just really grateful that
someone took their time out of their day just to provide that act of service in my life. It makes me look
at the little things and appreciate people in a different way. I was able to stop looking at the big picture
but look for little details. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I was able to really reflect on my day and made me realise that I have a lot to be grateful for. Knowing
the good people has done for me throughout my day has made going to sleep a little easier and it made
getting out of bed easier to. I was able to really enjoy thinking back and reflecting on all people has
done. My mood has changed and my thought process has dramatically changed too. This activity has
also made me live in the moments more before I would not pay attention to my surrounding but I was
able to after I became more aware of my

The Columbian Exchange Summary
Until the sixteenth century, the experts in that period of time believed that it was impossible to sail
west across from the Atlantic to Asia. By his adventure, Christopher Columbus, an Italian navigator,
proved that they were wrong. However, based on the theory that the earth was a sphere, he thought
that he could reach the East Indies by sailing west. He calculated the distance from Portugal to Asia
was shorter than to Congo. In fact, the real distance from Portugal to Japan was much further, over ten
thousand miles. With his erroneous estimate, he planned a scheme to prove he was right. After several
unsuccessful lobbying in Portugal, Spain, even in England and France, eventually, in 1492, he won
financing for his journey from Spanish monarchs, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The exchange between the Old World and the New World, which was referred the Columbian
Exchange, have been changing the lives of the people both in the America and the Europe. Many
crops, plants and animals were introduced and had an important influence in the world history.
Otherwise, it brought dangerous diseases which killed a lot of the native Americans due to not having
natural immunity. Aside new diseases, the Spanish also carried the resources from the Old World, and
it has changed both natural and human in the Americas. Being different from other European
colonization, the royal Spanish pacified the Indians by Catholic missionaries. In fact, to the natives,
these men were killing their families, taking their lands, and destroying their earth. The conquests
shaped the emerging system of land ownership. The hacienda system developed because
conquistadors fought seeking wealth and land grants. Castas, people of mixed blood, became the
largest social class in the 18th century. In the result, the present day Americas are more mixed races
than anywhere on the planet, and it becomes one of the defining characteristics of the Americas today.
The conquest of America, although progressive, should not be considered a positive movement. From
its beginning after discovery, to its end in 1825, the conquests led to

Analysis Of Tim Willis s The At T Summer Bridge
When I first arrived to the AT T Summer Bridge, one of the first people I meet was Tim Willis. He was
heaver involved the project aspect of the camp, but still present in that time. The more I talked to him
the more interesting his experiences were. He then invited me to check out the Sooner off Road team,
and joined the team. Tim is in his senior year of school and is the person with a lot of experience in the
Mechanical Engineering field before graduation. His interest was more through tinkering with things.
From a young he found it fun to design, build, and test things in his free time. During this time, he
joined the Boys Scouts of America and became an Eagle Scout in the organization. To achieve this
rank he created a Man made waterfall in a stream as a final project. I was told by him it was very
challenging, but after that he finds a challenge and tackles it head on. However, the greatest challenge
he had to tackle was in 2011. During that year Tim was a junior in high school, his house was hit by a
tornado.
Everything I owned was gone. The only thing I had were the clothes on my back. This thought me a
lesson in humbleness, through the whole process of getting back to where we were. I mean we went
from having a home to being homeless. It made me realize that things don not last forever.
Tim s family was able to get back to where they were, but he will always remember this experience.
Afterwards, this short story Tim told me how he got interested in Mechanical

Social Stress And Its Impact On The Classroom
Overview of Changes in this Resubmission I was delighted to receive encouragement to resubmit this
proposal and am extremely grateful to the five reviewers for their insightful comments. I was gratified
to read Reviewer 5 s comment that the proposed activities are creative, original and potentially
transformative, and Reviewer 1 s comments that this research may lead to theoretical advances in the
understanding of stigma more broadly and that I am an expert in this field and well suited to carry out
the proposed research. Although space limitations preclude me from detailing how I addressed every
individual comment, here I will summarize the major changes to guide the Panel s review. I have kept
the longitudinal study, which the entire Panel supported. In response to the Panel s concerns about the
experimental and speed dating studies, I have dropped Studies 1 3 and replaced them with an
experimental study that I have now successfully piloted with 50 participants. This new study addresses
Panel concerns about the conceptualization of weight stigma and concerns that the manipulated
construct might have been general social stress or rejection rather than weight stigma specifically. I
have added a follow up point in the experience sampling study to assess weight so as to test the entire
model. I have taken to heart the criticism that perceived overweight status is an imperfect selection
variable; all studies now use samples with BMI 25 ( overweight ) and above. Carefully

Self-Doubt In Medical Schools
The power of self doubt is a venomous infection that can cripple dreams and inhibit talent. Medical
school presents a series of challenges that seek to engage its pupils to excel in various avenues. My
second year of medical school was a personal struggle. Passion is best tested in the face of adversity. I
questioned my ability to excel in the field I admire and love, especially amongst those who share my
drive and equal admiration for the sciences. Our early twenties are ensconced with self doubt and fear;
fear of what the future may entail and doubts of our ability to meet our dreams. Faced with these
thoughts I questioned my potential, what if my best wasn t enough. Absent of an established
framework to refer when dealing with

Early Labor Movement Research Paper
Labor unions have been around since the birth of our country. Labor unions were a way to protect
Americans from working at dangerous factories or sweatshops. Before any labor unions working was
horrible for the people. Anything that could have went bad for them did. They had horrible wages they
were lucky if they had enough to eat an occasional meal. Also they mostly never got any break
working 15 18 hour shifts. The labor unions were put into effect to protect the common interest of
workers and to give them better wages, reasonable hours and safer working conditions..The labor

Hunt. This court case was a case in which the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled that the common
law doctrine of criminal conspiracy did not apply to labor unions. Criminal conspiracy is when two or
people agree to commit a crime in the near future. Many people in their jobs were getting hit with that
if someone wanted to try something like stealing money and robbing the place many of them were
desperate for money because of the little pay they received from their job. And the Commonwealth V.
Hunt court case ruled they were not allowed to do that unless they had been caught red handed or had
raw evidence. They also had many campaigns that were to help the workers in the factories. The first
campaign was at corporation hospital where Roger helped for a well organized, influential anti union
organizing committee (Penny 91) . At first the court thought of the campaigns of just people trying to
get what they wanted and it was never going to work but after they saw many people really putting in
the effort to get what they want it really made people think like maybe we are treating these people
badly and they want change. Most of the bad came from post war labor

A Comparison Of Eat Oye And Food Panda
Delivery Ten has 2 major competitors when it comes to the food market and one major competitor
when it comes to groceries and other items. In food, the major competitors are Eat Oye and Food
Panda. The presence of these two home food delivery providers is predominant throughout Islamabad.
As we can see outside all of their major partner cuisines and restaurants a small sign board is
displayed which has the name of either of the service provider i.e. Food Panda or Eat Oye. This is a
strong message for the customers and it remains in the back of their mind whenever they think of
getting something ordered from the same cuisine. A customer who visits their favorite cuisine and on
the way back sees the sign of a home delivery service provider. They ... Show more content on

So, we need to make sure that every step or the process that we incorporate in our strategy of service
delivery represent or reflects the quality and standard of our service. In services, if we talk about
satisfying our customer, practically it s very hard to agree a customer or make him/her trust that our
service would be up to their desired level.(Jessica Hwang, Eves and Desombre, 2003). So, for this we
need to identify some of the gaps that always exist in very service firm and by filling those gaps, a
company can satisfy her customer more efficiently. The four services gaps

  • 3. Reasons For The Collapse Of The Han And Mayan Empires A number of complex and enduring empires have dominated large parts of Afro Eurasia, and Meso America. Among these were the Han Empire in China, the Roman Empire in the Mediterranean Basin, and the Maya in Meso America. These empires had wealth, power, and they are a vast size, but they all suffered their unfortunate collapse. There are multiple factors that contribute to the collapse of these empires such as warfare, taxes, the environment, problems with the government, religion, and shortage of resources like food and water. The reasons for the collapse of the Han and the Mayan empires are very similar. However, there are also some striking differences of the reasons why these empires collapsed. The Han Empire s disintegration happened because of 3 reasons: warfare, governmental problems, taxes, and shortage of resources like food and water. Warfare had an impact on the failure of the Han Empire because they needed a lot of strong and efficient armies which led to the need for manpower, food, horses, and weapons. These needs couldn t be fulfilled because the taxes were so high (governmental problem) that the peasants had no way of paying their taxes resulting many joining rich land owning generals lands which means that these peasants are now under their command. • 4. The Moral Of The Story Of Antigone There is no such thing as an accident; an accident fate misnamed. Outside the city gates, Antigone tells Ismene that Creon has ordered that Eteocles, who died defending the city, is to be buried with full honors, while the body of Polynices, the invader, is left to rot. Furthermore, Creon has declared that anyone attempting to bury Polynices shall be publicly stoned to death. Outraged, Antigone reveals to Ismene a plan to bury Polynices in secret, despite Creon s order. When Ismene timidly refuses to defy the king, Antigone angrily rejects her and goes off alone to bury her brother. This play creates an underlying theme or moral, the moral of a story is often an implied lesson you can learn from a character s experience. In Antigone, the moral of the story is that of fate. This moral is incorporated through the actions of both Creon and Antigone. The moral also corresponds with a recurring theme of the abuse of power, something that Creon is more than guilty of. This theme is incorporated in the many words and actions brought forward by Creon, the king of Thebes. Antigone, a young, ambitious, powerful beyond her knowledge girl sets the reader up with her awareness of the power of fate, in which she attributes all the tragedy in her family to the almighty Zeus. Fate being the upcoming of events beyond a person s control, something that is destined to happen. We see fate throughout the story occur over again, it is a common action bestowed upon both Creon and Antigone. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In modern times, the emergence of Anglo Catholic traditions have widely been attributed to the general emphasis of formal worship and resistance to modernisation . Father Dane Elsworth, an Anglican priest in Durban, stated in an interview that the Anglican church has largely been effected by liberal minded people , which he asserts has lead to many losses in terms of liturgical practice. The modern day Anglo Catholic movement can be traced back to the Oxford Movement of the Victorian era. One of the main objectives of the Oxford Movement was the assertion that the Church of England was a divinely founded institution, which adheres to the Apostolic Succession and of the Book of Common Prayer acting as its rule of faith . The prime idea was that Anglicanism was not at all a Protestant denomination, but rather an off shoot of the Catholic Church, together with the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox churches. I was disappointed that my hypothesis did not prove correct. However, by walking through the store after the observation time some of my hypothesis was vindicated when I found people forming groups inside the store. I like to watch group dynamics. The interactions between people draw my eyes attention. The human dynamic makes this interesting, but only if they are interacting. As far as my lens goes, if people aren t interacting, there s nothing happening. Background. When people agree to defend the United States by putting on a military uniform, they are commonly referred to as being in the military. Many papers have been written about being in the military, but I think the meaning is unique and personal to each member of the armed forces. To me, after 17 years of being on active duty wearing the Air Force uniform, I am in the military just as a non military person is in society. The military lifestyle is a microcosm of the larger American way of life. • 12. The Creation Of The United Nations The creation of the United Nations (UN), the largest organization in the world introduced a new reform for collective security around the world after the failure of the League of Nations. Such a reform is vital for the international community as it zealously promotes concord and security, which is the most important goal in the 21st century. Thus, has the UN been successful in promoting international peace and security? To an extent, they have been when it comes to certain economical, humanitarian and environmental conflicts that occur within particular situations. However, one must take into account that the UN has failed in promoting such an itinerary when it came to the nuclear proliferation, the failure to uphold amity in Sri Lanka, Rwanda and Srebrenica Massacre. The failure of the League of Nations caused the establishment of the United Nations after the Second World War in 1945. • 14. Generational Themes In Hamlet Hamlet is a play that despite age, can deliver themes that consistently transcend generational differences, even when those differences span hundreds of years. It is the strength of these themes in Hamlet that has given the play such overwhelming cultural gravitas that allows it to remain relevant to this day. As such, it is a highly appropriate play for high school students to study. The core messages of generational conflict, unfolding to one s true self, and morality are struggles faced by both Hamlet, and high school students. Consequently, this can motivate students in their studies when they discover a character, that despite the difference in time, is so easily relatable. When students recognize similarities between Hamlet and themselves, such as a distaste for the tedious old fools (2.2.219) with their plentiful lack of wit (2.2.199), it creates a connection between the students and this seemingly ancient piece of literature. A connection, that hopefully after the high school level, can be nurtured into a passion for literature. A connection that allows for greater insight and analysis at this current level. A connection, that if students are discouraged from making now, they are unlikely to make later in their lives, as once they grow older the heyday in the blood is tame. (barry) Most people were concerned about how to view his all time record, whether or not any of his achievements should remain, because knowingly or not he did this with chemical support. An athlete on performance enhancing drugs broke one of the most honored records in baseball history, not only offended some and troubled Barry Bonds accomplishment but also tons of people s faith in baseball. Baseball is making an attempt to fix the reputation left by Bonds and many other athletes, but this legacy from the steroid era of baseball stands as testimony to some significant mistakes by both athletes and policy makers in the MLB. • 23. Role of Retinal Waves on Three Aspects of Visual System... Periodic spontaneous activity is found in many parts of the developing central nervous system including the spinal cord, cortex, hippocampus and retina, and evidence suggests that this activity could underlie aspects of development such as axon guidance, local circuit formation and establishment of sensory maps (Feller, 1999). In the retina, this phenomenon has been studied in detail because its circuitry is stereotypic and its activity can be manipulated easily in development. Before eye opening, retinal circuits undergo a great deal of maturation and refinement. The immature circuits spontaneously generate propagating bursts of action potentials called retinal waves. Retinal waves correlate the firing of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) and play a role in establishing and refining circuits in the visual system, but there is a great deal of controversy about whether waves play an instructive or a permissive role in neuronal development. The term instructive implies that retinal activity contains information that affects the formation of synaptic connections, while the term permissive implies that activity is necessary at some minimum level in order for the refinement to occur. This review will focus on the role of retinal waves on three aspects of visual system development eye specific segregation in the thalamus, retinotopic refinement in the superior colliculus, and establishment of cortical columns and summarize the existing arguments for the role of retinal waves ... Adapting to this harsh environment didn t take only a few years, this process has occured over millions of years and will continue to occur. Some characteristics that the organisms adapted are things like: the ambush strategy, extended spines, smaller sizes, deep sea giantism, bioluminescence, transparant skins, large mouths, large teeth, large stomachs, large eyes, slow metabolic rates, lateral lines, hermaphroditism, and chemosynthesis. Scientists are still searching in the deep sea because for organisms still not discovered. Bathypelagic Zone Adaptions 1,000 4,000 (3,000 13,000 ft) meters deep in the ocean where there is a total abscence of sunlight. The large, dark ocean lessens the chance of animals catching prey. This zone has the greatest temperature changes compared to the other zones, it contains thermocline, which causes water temperatures to change dramatically with depth. In this wide ocean, all organisms do not have the energy to endlessly search for food, forcing many organisms to adapt to a strategy called The Ambush Strategy , which is when they sit and wait for prey to get closer and they attack them when the food when they re close enough, they have also adapted to having a long dorsal spine that floats above its head with a photophore which acts as a fishing pole to bait other animals. An example of this sort of fish is called the Deep Sea Angler. Animals in this zone also adapted to be smaller in size because they are entirely made of water with no air space due to high pressures. If they had air space inside of them, the open space in their body would crush them completely. The pressure of the Bathypelagic Zone is 800 times greater than the surfaces pressure. This is the cause of their less developed internal organs, small eyes, thinner skin, smaller sizes compared the animals in the Mesopelagic and Epipelagic Zone, which are located above the Bathypelagic Zone. • 38. Persuasive Essay On Rap Music Many believe that rap music has taken a complete 180 in the industry and has turned their lyrics of inspiration and positivity, to drugs and gang violence. Although several signs can point to this statement being true, rap music does not encourage teens to act violently. In fact, many artists/rappers spread positive messages across, giving solutions, and inspiration to the audience. Parents were and still are on the fence of their kids listening to rap music. The explicit types of rap music are poisoning the minds of young teens and can even encourage them to act in the a violent manner or rebel. Although, that is for explicit lyrics, not all rap has explicit lyrics. Altogether, rap music does not encourage teen violence in any way and many individual artists even teach their audience how to act positively. Teenagers seem to click easier to song lyrics, whether it s country, rap, rock, or pop. It can affect teenagers in a positive and negative way, but violence being said in the lyrics does not cause an indication of aggression for the listener. The lyrics may describe their situation perfectly, what they go through and how they feel. That s why we always have those catchy radio tunes stuck in our heads. Alison Churchill, a fan of rapper Eminem from Newsday feed shares her input on what it can do to younger peers. But she thinks the song could have a positive impact, if it can hit a nerve with a teenager and prompt them to go talk to someone about it. Because, Churchill says, The more we talk about a subject, the easier it is to fix. If teens don t usually have anyone to talk to, it can cause an empty feeling of loneliness that can turn into urges of depression, anxiety, mental health issues. When rap music hits home for the younger generation it s telling them to open up to somebody and share what you have to say. Talking about something that is bothersome can be a great solution for those who need or want it. Rap music was creating a negative influence throughout the music industry for awhile, it s agreeable that modern day rap today mostly involves drugs, gangs, violence, money, etc. Although, a lot of it also gives inspiration or at least has that goal being set when creating the music. As a result the heavens and earth and all their array were completed and on the seventh day God rested from the work he had undertaken. When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens there was no sign of life on the barren ground. From the dust of the ground and the breath of life he formed the man who will be known as Adam. The Lord God settled him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and care for it and gave him the freedom of eating from any of the trees of the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and evil. When human beings began to grow numerous on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw how beautiful the daughters of human beings were, and so they took for their wives whomever they pleased. • 40. Material Possessions In The Necklace By Guy De Maupassant Many people in today s society allow material possessions to control their life. They believe society is defined by brand name clothing, expensive cars, and excessive amounts of money. A person who is obsessed with materialistic things will never truly be satisfied or happy with life. Guy de Maupassant depicts a clear example of this modern day misfortune in the short story The Necklace. By looking at syntax, symbolism, and vocabulary used in The Necklace, we can see that Maupassant clearly illustrates the theme that a desire for material possessions has great power to destroy an individual, which most people do not recognize. This is important because anyone can get consumed in materialistic value that they forget about what really is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Their conversation is short, and Madame Forester is taken back by the new, changed Madame Loisel. The syntax of this conversation is short. Because of its brevity, Maupassant suggests that Madame Loisel has greatly changed and longs for her simple life. When she lost the necklace and had to work for ten years to repay it, she took on more responsibility through labor. It took a toll on her body, and she yearned for her less complicated life. Later in the paragraph, on the top of page 28, the sentence structure starts to become more lengthy. Madame Loisel tells Madame Forestier that she bought a diamond necklace like the one she lost and Loisel and her husband have been working to repay the debt for ten years. She says, I brought you back another just like it. And for this we have been ten years paying. You can understand that it was not easy for us, who had nothing (28). In this passage, as the sentences get longer, it suggests that the length of time that Madame Loisel has been working to repay the money has been long. It has aged her greatly and her life now is much more complicated than before. The lengthy sentence structure supports the theme that material possessions have the power to destroy an individual. When Madame Loisel was forced to repay the debt of the necklace she had lost, she and her husband had to work for a decade. The physical labor made them both mentally and physically ... • 41. Should Trade Sanctions Be Stopped Essay SHOULD ALL TRADE SANCTIONS BE STOPPED? To most of the world, sanctions are a mixed blessing. On the one hand, they reinforce trade rules and promote respect for them. On the other hand, they tend to undermine the principles of free trade and provoke a kind of trade envy (Charnovitz) in other international organizations. Trade retaliation goes back quite a ways; we see examples of it in much of US law: Antidumping Act of 1916, which has seen little use.(Charnovitz) International Labor Organization, from the Treaty of Versailles 1919, which served as an international dispute system, but no economic measures were ever recommended until 2000, against Burma. World leaders often decide that the most obvious alternatives to sanctions are no good military action would be too strong and diplomatic protests too weak. Sanctions can provide a satisfying dramatic display, but avoid the high costs of war.(Library of Economics) This isn t to say that sanctions don t cost a thing, just that they re often less costly than the alternatives. A second advantage to sanctions can be seen through foreign pressure to promote internal change, assuming that the sanctioned government wants to comply with the rules, but can t because of domestic politics.(Charnovitz) We can see in many cases that sanctions are being imposed primarily for signaling purposes either for the benefit of allies, other third parties, or once again, their own citizens. If the sanctions aren t carefully targeted or the costs are too high for the sanctioning country, the intended signal may be lost.(Library of Economics) Sanctions intended to change the behavior or government of a target country are very difficult to design. They have to be imposed as quickly and easily as possible.(Library of Economics) By moving too slowly, it gives the target country time to adjust by finding alternative markets, finding new allies, and by gaining domestic support of its own policies. Another advantage of trade sanctions is the fact that they have the power to be enacted ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Based on what we have done for the past week, which is writing down what we were grateful each day, I have learned to look at life a little differently. Gratitude is not just an expression. It is not temporary feeling. I have learned that gratitude is something much more permanent and everlasting. Gratitude is a genuine feeling that can help you look at the world in a whole new beautiful world. Gratitude can make this ugly world beautiful. In the week where I was inputting into a journal what I am grateful for, has been a week of pure joy and amazement. I was able to look at my day and really reflect on what effect of what people have on me and what effect I have on them. For example, on Saturday I wrote that someone held my door without me realizing it. By his adventure, Christopher Columbus, an Italian navigator, proved that they were wrong. However, based on the theory that the earth was a sphere, he thought that he could reach the East Indies by sailing west. He calculated the distance from Portugal to Asia was shorter than to Congo. In fact, the real distance from Portugal to Japan was much further, over ten thousand miles. With his erroneous estimate, he planned a scheme to prove he was right. After several unsuccessful lobbying in Portugal, Spain, even in England and France, eventually, in 1492, he won financing for his journey from Spanish monarchs, ... Aside new diseases, the Spanish also carried the resources from the Old World, and it has changed both natural and human in the Americas. Being different from other European colonization, the royal Spanish pacified the Indians by Catholic missionaries. In fact, to the natives, these men were killing their families, taking their lands, and destroying their earth. The conquests shaped the emerging system of land ownership. The hacienda system developed because conquistadors fought seeking wealth and land grants. Castas, people of mixed blood, became the largest social class in the 18th century. He was heaver involved the project aspect of the camp, but still present in that time. The more I talked to him the more interesting his experiences were. He then invited me to check out the Sooner off Road team, and joined the team. Tim is in his senior year of school and is the person with a lot of experience in the Mechanical Engineering field before graduation. His interest was more through tinkering with things. From a young he found it fun to design, build, and test things in his free time. During this time, he joined the Boys Scouts of America and became an Eagle Scout in the organization. To achieve this rank he created a Man made waterfall in a stream as a final project. I was told by him it was very challenging, but after that he finds a challenge and tackles it head on. However, the greatest challenge he had to tackle was in 2011. During that year Tim was a junior in high school, his house was hit by a tornado. Everything I owned was gone. The only thing I had were the clothes on my back. This thought me a lesson in humbleness, through the whole process of getting back to where we were. I mean we went from having a home to being homeless. It made me realize that things don not last forever. • 46. Social Stress And Its Impact On The Classroom Overview of Changes in this Resubmission I was delighted to receive encouragement to resubmit this proposal and am extremely grateful to the five reviewers for their insightful comments. I was gratified to read Reviewer 5 s comment that the proposed activities are creative, original and potentially transformative, and Reviewer 1 s comments that this research may lead to theoretical advances in the understanding of stigma more broadly and that I am an expert in this field and well suited to carry out the proposed research. Although space limitations preclude me from detailing how I addressed every individual comment, here I will summarize the major changes to guide the Panel s review. I have kept the longitudinal study, which the entire Panel supported. In response to the Panel s concerns about the experimental and speed dating studies, I have dropped Studies 1 3 and replaced them with an experimental study that I have now successfully piloted with 50 participants. This new study addresses Panel concerns about the conceptualization of weight stigma and concerns that the manipulated construct might have been general social stress or rejection rather than weight stigma specifically. I have added a follow up point in the experience sampling study to assess weight so as to test the entire model. I have taken to heart the criticism that perceived overweight status is an imperfect selection variable; all studies now use samples with BMI 25 ( overweight ) and above. Carefully ... And the Commonwealth V. Hunt court case ruled they were not allowed to do that unless they had been caught red handed or had raw evidence. They also had many campaigns that were to help the workers in the factories. The first campaign was at corporation hospital where Roger helped for a well organized, influential anti union organizing committee (Penny 91) . At first the court thought of the campaigns of just people trying to get what they wanted and it was never going to work but after they saw many people really putting in the effort to get what they want it really made people think like maybe we are treating these people badly and they want change.
