This document outlines the 8 steps to developing an effective lesson plan for early childhood education. It explains that lesson plans should include: 1) knowing the age and context of implementation, 2) understanding the activity, 3) how to implement the activity, 4) an evaluation method, 5) safety considerations, 6) curriculum integration, 7) input from evaluators, and 8) self-reflection. Each step provides examples of the types of information that should be included in a lesson plan to ensure educational objectives are met and children's safety, learning, and development are supported.
A lesson plan has three key components: objectives for student learning, teaching/learning activities, and strategies to check student understanding. It is important to identify the learning objectives first before designing activities. The lesson plan should break the material into sections like warm-up, introduction, practice, production, and review. It is best to be flexible and adjust timing as needed based on how students respond. A well-written lesson plan ensures the teacher is prepared and the class will run smoothly.

[1] The document discusses instructional planning frameworks, specifically comparing a traditional framework (B) to Understanding by Design (UbD) (framework A).
[2] It then provides details on the three stages of the UbD framework - Stage 1 involves defining desired results through content standards, understanding goals, and student objectives; Stage 2 focuses on assessment evidence; and Stage 3 is the learning plan.
[3] Key aspects of each UbD stage are outlined, and important points about aligning instructional planning with department visions and standards are noted.
The document discusses several key aspects of lesson planning including:
1. The components of a lesson plan such as objectives, content, learning activities, resources, and evaluation.
2. The purpose of instructional planning which is to guide teaching and maximize student learning and achievement of objectives.
3. Factors to consider when selecting learning activities such as alignment with goals and principles of learning, student motivation, and available facilities.
Student learning can be hampered if the objectives are not clear. This Webinar will focus on writing clear criterion objectives. Clear objectives will help you write better lessons and assessments, as well as, help learners organize their learning Some hands-on objective writing will be done.
Objectives serve several important functions in instructional design. They provide a framework for evaluating student learning, convey the instructional intent, and provide targets for assessments. Objectives should be written to describe what learners will do to demonstrate their understanding. There are three main categories of objectives: cognitive, psychomotor, and affective. Cognitive objectives focus on knowledge and intellectual skills, psychomotor objectives involve physical skills, and affective objectives concern attitudes and values. Objectives help guide instruction and assessment and should be written using action verbs to specify observable and measurable outcomes for learners.
The document discusses instructional planning and development. It outlines the process of instructional planning which includes selecting standards and topics, designing instructional activities and assessments, giving assessments and using data to provide feedback and reteach. It also discusses outcomes-based education and understanding by design, which uses backward design starting with desired results and assessments. The three stages of understanding by design - stage 1 is desired results, stage 2 is assessment evidence, and stage 3 is the learning plan. Important elements of instructional planning include standards, curriculum goals, assessment, and utilizing assessment results. Several examples of lesson plan elements and formats are also provided.
This document outlines steps for systematic instructional planning including:
1) Identifying instructional goals and analyzing learners.
2) Identifying objectives which specify learning outcomes, conditions, and audience. Objectives can be cognitive, affective, or psychomotor.
3) Planning instructional activities such as introducing objectives, presenting content, and providing practice.
4) Choosing appropriate instructional media.
5) Developing assessment tools and implementing a mastery learning approach through presentation, assessment, and revision.
This presentation discusses the rationale for using objectives in lesson planning, the approaches to writing objectives and classifying objectives once they have been written.

The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive function. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.
Instructional planning involves forecasting and visualizing the teaching-learning process, including what will be taught, why it will be taught, and how it will be taught. A variety of instructional materials and media can be selected and produced, including non-projected visual aids like chalkboards and pictures, as well as projected visual aids like slides and videos. Instructional materials and media can be integrated into presentations, multimedia kits, modules, and learning centers to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
The document discusses instructional objectives and how they differ from goals. It defines objectives as explicit and measurable performances students must accomplish to reach an overall goal. It emphasizes that objectives need to include specific, measurable behaviors and conditions. The document compares goals, objectives, and learner outcomes. It also discusses Bloom's taxonomy and how it categorizes cognitive domains that objectives can address. Later, it introduces affective and psychomotor domains beyond just cognitive. It stresses the importance of objectives being specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound. Examples are provided of well-written instructional objectives across the three learning domains.

THE SACRIFICE HOW PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTS STUDENTS ARE SACRIFICING TO CHANGE T...indexPub
ย
The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.
