Is Guatemala A Developing Country
A developing country is an impoverished country that is seeking to become more advanced
economically and socially. Guatemala is very much so in the position of a developing country. As one
who lives in the United States of America, it is often times hard to understand what this exactly
means. The majority of people born and raised in America will never experience the same situations
that those from a developing country will experience. The cultural lifestyle of Guatemalans is much
different than Americans because of the experiences they observe or participate in each day. Although
Guatemala has not been successful in the aspects of society or economics, they are in the process of
ameliorating. Guatemala is a particularly large country in South America. The country s terrain is
dominated by mountains with narrow coastal plains, limestone plateaus, and volcanoes and jungles.
The current population of Guatemala is 17,033,253 as of November 2017, according to the latest
United Nations estimates (Guatemala Population (LIVE), 2017). The capital of the country is
Guatemala City. For the past years, the politicians have been extremely corrupt. In 2016, Jimmy
Morales had won the Guatemalan election to become the new president. His campaign slogan was
neither corrupt not a thief . Because the people of Guatemala were beyond ready for a change in
leadership, he won by a landslide. At the start of his term, people loved him and he seemed to be a
great guy. He was a former comedian

The Role Of Christ s Church
The role of Christ s church as it relates to evangelism, institutional change, and its ministry to the
general laity, is a continuously growing dynamic that demands resources from church, while
expanding the opportunity to grow the church which inevitably impacts the culture of the secular
institutions from which most of its laity are employed. I believe that the understanding and revelation
of God s word is all encompassing; so that in every season of our maturity in Christ, we can visit upon
a word, a precept, with a fresh understanding and a new perspective that does not violate the integrity
of it meaning and/or alter our doctrinal understanding. I believe that the role of evangelism is a prime
example of how God has not only used the ministry of the gospel for the call to salvation, but also
how he builds the body, institutionalizes the body, equips the body, empowers the body then
dispatches the body back into the world from which it was called (Matthew 5:14). It is very difficult to
dissect the anatomy of the body into its heterogeneous functions, then focus on one of them, when you
know that the body of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit is really a single organism (1 Corinthians
12:12 ), with a single purpose, The Kingdom of God. However, it is one of the prime functions of the
body to evangelize, which is the bringing of the good news, and the message of hope, that Gods
people will become alive in him. This mission of evangelism (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15) was

Personal Narrative in Game Maplestory Essay
Warriors: Wizards :: Mushrooms: Pigs
The sun shone brightly as I stared off into the distant grass, swaying unrelentingly as the winds lashed
upon it. But within the silky surface of the monotonous sea of green, I spotted an interruption a
staccato in the melody of the breeze. From afar, I could see only see a vague outline, but I knew it was
approaching me, mindlessly yet fervently as if I were a light and it were a bug.
And so it began.
I tightly wielded my club. I could feel the coarseness of the wood beneath my battle worn fingers. I
lifted the weapon and situated it in front of me, grasping it firmly with both hands. I was a warrior,
ordained by the venerable Chief Sitting Bull under the auspices of the proud tribe of Perion; ... Show

We quickly zipped on through and began traversing in unknown territory. The soft grass plains quickly
became a deciduous forest filled with ancient trees covered in moss and dense foliage. The meager
splotches of sunlight combined with the inherent eerie glow of the forest lent a mysterious aura that
my brother and I were actively soaking in the sense of adventure and discovery was overwhelming. At
each portal we waited with a childish anticipation of the next screen to come. But, of course, a group
of fellow travelers, obviously of higher levels, barged into the scene. eli is in this portal, lolz one guy
said as they disappeared into the portal we were about to enter. Hey, at least we know something
important is there. I comforted. And we entered.
Ellinia, as it was properly known, was an awe inspiring town with inhabitants living in dwellings high
up within the trees, suspended by an elaborate system of rope and planks of wood. Compared to the
teepees of Perion, these intricate tree houses were much more sophisticated. We were quick to catch
on that the Great Wizard was to be found deep within Ellinia. Conveniently for us, we followed a
group of wizard to be s in search of his infinite wisdom.
After rummaging through multiple portals, leading from the outside to the grand library, the inner
sanctum of the Great Wizard was one portal away. All of the wizards obviously anticipated meeting

End-Of-Life Care Ethics
[End of Life care is a term used in the medical field to describe treatment given to a patient around the
time of death. With the advance of modern medicine, there is an expectation on the part of the patient

Organizational Culture and Structure
Organizational Culture and Structure
The structure of an organization determines the allocation of roles, regulations, and responsibilities,
and therefore builds a basis for the culture in an organization. There is a constant relationship between
organizational structure and organizational culture that provides a theme within an organization. Both
can be difficult to clearly define and distinguish when analyzing an organization. Organization culture
is a perspective into the company s personality; it provides descriptive values, principals, traditions,
and a way of doing things that effect how members view the organization (Robbins, DeCenzo,
Coulter, 2013). The organizational structure builds the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stories of innovation inspire creativity and help build the strength of an organization s culture. A
strong organizational culture holds key values that are shared with all members. It is the responsibility
of leaders to uphold an organization s culture to ensure that there is a proper foundation that binds the
structure.
Organizational Structure Any organization should have its own operating structure in order to reach
success. Organizational structure is defined as a hierarchy of people that determine roles of authority,
communications, and the duties of an organization (Robbins et al., 2013). Organizations must organize
their structure to meet the needs of that particular organization, and assure that it resembles the values
instilled by the organizational culture. The development of culture through an organization is a natural
process that is dependent upon the instilled values of the leaders and members in the organization (O
Neil, 2011). Leaders can still influence the culture by sticking to their values and implementing a
strong and effective organizational structure. There are several models that organizations can utilize to
structure the elements within the organization.
The structure of an organization can be divided into two generic organization structure models. Below

Automobiles are More Than Just Transportation Essay
Introduction
Today, automobiles have gained a reputation of refined high tech product rather than just a means of
transport. It has become a moving living quarters, defining the social status of what people aspire to
have when it comes to the type of life those people want. In today s automobile business operations,
companies should pay more attention to developing the customer s experience. The experience is an
important part of customer value; great customer service is the advantage needed to measure the worth
of goods or services. Therefore, only those great idea and marketing strategies can destroy the
competition. This means, it is very important for companies to target the right market, set up

Price
While Koreans have always maintained a very aggressive pricing strategy, Hyundai KIA has put itself
at a prime place in the global market by offering competitive prices compared to the competition. It is
obvious from the global automotive sales data that South Korea s Hyundai KIAAutomotive Group
ranked from tenth in nineteen ninety nine to a global rise to fourth in the world in the years to come
that they have thought a lot about pricing competitiveness (Freeman 2008). With the company
jumping six seats in the past years and leaving behind the Honda, Toyota, Fiat, and Chrysler; KIA s
President Mr.Lee says KIA will keep vehicle prices at current levels in the U.S. as part of its brand
strategy.

falling economy in Korea, the KIA Group still wanted to expand the scale and scope of business.
Hence, KIA is international with their facilities in one hundred and seventy two countries. This
includes KIA Group launching 14 companies in Indonesia to expand the production of small cars

Neuromuscular Junction Research Paper
The neuromuscular junction is where the nerve meets our muscles. To be able to move, we would
need an impulse sent from our brain to our muscles. The nerve impulse gets sent to our muscles from
the CNS, which leads to our muscles contracting. The nervous impulse that s sent to the CNS is called
the action potential, the impulse that sends a signal to our muscles is known as the motor neurones.
For our muscles to contract we need a nervous impulse, the end of our nerves are called the synaptic
knob, this hits the vesicles and releases acetylcholine. The acetylcholine then goes through the cleft
(the gap between the synaptic knob and the muscle) and tells the muscles to contract, if it doesn t go
through the cleft our muscles will not contract, this is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The nervous impulse will only reach the muscle fibres if the signal from the CNS is strong enough.
This also is the all or nothing principle because if the strength of the signal is not strong enough the
motor unit will contract, but if the strength of the signal is strong enough then all of the motor unit will
contract. The function of the motor unit is to basically allow movement, so without these muscle
fibres we won t be able to have movement. There are two type of muscle fibres, fast twitch and slow
twitch. The slow twitch muscle fibres are good for activities such as endurance events, e.g. the
marathon. This is because these muscles don t get tired during exercise. The fast twitch muscle fibres
get tired too quickly because they are used for quick, sharp events such as 100m sprint so this can
result in fatigue and therefore can build up lactic acid which will result in cramps
(http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/body/factfiles/fastandslowtwitch/soleus.shtml) so if we
didn t have slow or fast twitch fibres, we wouldn t be able to participate in them type of

God Is Divine Love The Creator Of The Universe And Of All...
God is divine love the creator of the universe and of all things. But how many of us really understand
God at all? I would venture to say very few of us, if any at all.
The First Step Toward Truth Is To Accept That You May Not Know It.So, how do we go about
learning to love a God that we don t even understand? What is the truth about God!
The first step in finding the truth is in accepting the fact that we might not know it.
We will be discussing many things about God and religion with you and hopefully together we can
gain a better understanding of our creator.
Who Is God?
God is everlasting love, joy and all wise that goes beyond all human understanding. Many people
believe in a God and different religions see him in different forms. We see him in the form that we
choose to see him in. Devotees of God will see him in the form Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, even an old
man in the sky ext. However, the vision we see him as is just that a vision of what we believe he looks
like. However, this is not the true nature of God.
There have been many great teachers of God through the ages that are capable of teaching us about
God, but to find God s true nature and the truly unique essence of him can only be found in deep
meditation.
Does God Have A Plan For Us?
I never understood why people would think that God would have a plan for us when he gave us free
will to decide for ourselves, and the intelligence to think and plan our own further out. So why would
he then, threaten us

Harmony Theory In Phaedo By Plato
In Phaedo, by Plato, Phaedo recounts an incident with Socrates. The story starts with Socrates opening
up saying that Philosophers should not only accept death, but welcome it. After all, although the body
will pass, the soul is able to live on because it is immortal. He uses a lot of his intuition to back up his
claim, but the main rationale is the Argument of Affinity. He claims that the world is very binary.
Things are either incorporeal and invisible, or not. The body is physical, visible and corporeal. Things
like the body that are visible are part of the sensible world and do not last. The soul however is not. It
is invisible and incorporeal. That is why Socrates believes the soul is immortal. Simmias counters
Socrates claim bringing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Clearly the harmony of the lyre is not immortal. Harmony doesn t survive the lyre, but rather is
dependent upon the lyre. The lyre is similar to the human body and soul. Harmony is divine and
incorporeal. However, the human body is much like the lyre in that it is both corporeal and visible.
Because the lyre is held together in the proper way and at the right degrees, it is able to exist just as
the soul does only through the appropriate ways and make up of the human body. This leads to the
point that just because things are invisible and incorporeal does not necessarily mean they are
immortal. We need to think of the soul as a different type of harmony.
Socrates objects Simmias claims and refutes Harmony Theory many ways, but the one I find most
notable is that Socrates believes that the soul is the master of the human body and directs and controls
the body. Since the soul is eternal and the body is not, the soul controls the body throughout the
entirety of its life. Socrates comments, further, of all parts of a man, can you mention any other part
that rules him than his soul, especially if it is a wise soul? (Plato 132). Because it has this power, it
tells the body what to do, where to move, and how to act. This is different than the harmony and the
lyre. For example, on the other hand, we previously agreed that if the soul were a harmony, it would
never be out of tune with the

As a mentor for my general studies class I am thrilled to teach my kids Pilates. I have been going to
Pilates regularly for a year and I love how it is a fun challenge and how I learn life lessons from it. It
would be an excellent activity to mentor kids with because it provides health benefits such as it
improves posture, develops a strong core and back, prevents injuries, and improves flexibility,
concentration, and balance. Comparable to Yoga, Pilates is on a mat and it is not a cardio exercise, but
it is more strength training. It develops the core or the powerhouse rather than holding stretches for a

normally more advanced than me, so I have found that I need to focus solely on what I can
accomplish. I will share these lessons with the kids so that they can become exceptional leaders in
their communities and have stronger bodies while helping others. Through improving their
concentration, scholars can think of creative solutions to the problems they face in their day to day
lives. Throughout the three weeks, we can discuss how Pilates is helping them and if the students do
not like it, we can also consider other ways they can find an outlet to de stress after the course. I will

It is this realisation that sowed the seeds of collective bargaining which later resulted in trade
unionism. The workers, working under a common employer, faced common problems and common
tasks. They developed common sentiments, and organised themselves into associations which could
meet the employers on a basis of equality. The inchoate labour organisations had to cross many
hurdles before they could develop into fullfledged stable trade unions. There were internal dissentions,
persistent and determined opposition from the employers, merciless persecution and suppression by
the state (For example, in England, France, Germany and the United States, combinations of workmen
per se were declared illegal), and the full throated condemnation of trade unionism by the advocates of
free competition and laissez faire. In spite of these efforts at suppression, trade unions continued to
grow, sometimes working underground and sometimes openly. They continued to defy the laws
prohibiting the combination of workmen (Combination Acts of 1799 and 1800 in Great Britain, for
example) and the judicial pronouncements (particularly, the judgement in the Philadelphia
Cordwainers Case of 1806 in the United States) against the combinations of workmen. Under
incessant pressures from the workers and their organisations, the law and the attitude of the courts
gradually came to be modified. The history of the trade union movement everywhere is a history of
blood,

Lucretius Book 3 Essay
The chart above shows how Lucretius arranged his poem to combat his two main targets: the fear of
death the fear of the gods. In Books 1 2, Lucretius expounds upon his atomic theory of indestructible
particles, which cause an everlasting cycle of combination and separation, creation and destruction,
and birth and death. Everything in the universe is composed of these particles, thus everything is
mortal. Book 3 is dependent on the two previous books as it brings the ethical implication to the fore
by discussing the nature of the soul and its mortality. The culmination of Book 3 therefore death is

The Armenian Genocide Summary
Eugene Rogan s View on the The Armenian Genocide
The Armenian genocide is unfortunately regularly overlooked because of the Holocaust. This is due to
the amount killed and the extreme amount of structure in the mass killing somehow gives it a lot more
notoriety in western textbooks. There is also the fact that maybe it is underlooked because it s a less
western/ eurocentric impact on history and the countries that were involved. Eugene Rogan in his
book The Fall of the Ottomans writes an in depth chapter about the armenian genocide and its origins.
It paints the picture that first the Ottomans were not ready for a world war of that scale. This is due to
the fact that the empire is way to spread out and its people way to differentiated in ethnicity, religion,
and allegiances. These differences led to animosity between the Majority muslim and the minority
catholic groups, accusing them to be not loyal to the empire which gave them the public support and
the reason to kill and push the minority Armenians out of Turkey. I will be talking about in detail
about the Chapter relating to the armenian Genocide; its origins and its importance to the fall of the
ottoman empire.
The Armenian community was made up of three religious denominations: Armenian Catholic,
Armenian Protestant, and Armenian Apostolic, the Church of the vast majority of Armenians. Under

well as presentation skills. We also learned how to analyse the posters in a written format so that a

wealth gained from African soil. Three visualisations were created: one comparing the postures of

Political issues on Student Loans As a student who has difficulties affording increasingly high tuition

Comparing Egypt And Mesopotamia
Egyptian and Sumerian religions developed differently because their respective geographic
environments caused them to hold divergent views of their lives. Since the geography in Sumer and
Egypt was different, they held different views about their gods and beliefs. Even though they were two
of the first civilizations, they developed different beliefs about their religion.
The rivers and land were in both Sumer and Mesopotamia, a big part of the development of their
views on religion. Mesopotamia was known as the land between two rivers because they were
surrounded by the Euphrates and Tigris River. Annually the rivers would flood fertilizing Sumer s

On each side of the desert were two deserts. Egyptians called the two sides Red and Black land. The
Egyptians named their land Kemet meaning black land which referred to the fertilized black soil that
occurred because of the annual flood. This was known as the fertile Delta (side banks of the delta)
where Egyptians grew most of their food. On the opposite side of the river there was a large desert.
The Egyptians thought of this as a place of fear, terror and death. It was known as Deshret which
meant red land because of the coloring of the landscape. Because all the crops were grown on the
fertilized land, the burials all took place in the dessert. The Egyptians designated sides of the dessert to
represent Life and Death in terms of cultivation and also

Summary Of To His Coy Mistress
To his Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell, he uncovered the attempts of a man towards requesting his
sweetheart s glow and decreases of the obscure fancy woman to set down with the fair man being
alluded to, and the refined man s response is to unveil to her that, if had he enough time, he could
spend entire several years regarding her magnificence and her excellence; in any case, human life is
short and tomorrow is not ensure he doesn t have this time, in this manner they should value each
other now while in any case they can, as no one in death can handle or feel amuse. In his tones of love
and subjugation reflect how the suiter ensures that if the time halted he would enthusiastically adore
every part of his bashful paramour, however since time sit tight for no man he uses this certifications
to bait in his favor lady to have intercourse with him. The sonnet is composed as an adoration lyric
utilizing the conventional love requiem arrange otherwise called carpe diem and is isolated into three
stanzas or graceful passages. It s talked by an anonymous man, who doesn t uncover any physical or
true to life insights about himself, to an anonymous lady, who is likewise unknown. The excellence of
the dialect and the mind boggling center around the lady s magnificence, the regard demonstrated in
that, makes the sonnet very dynamic and interesting. The man points to smooth talk as well as to awe
her. To go up against the idea of time, he utilizes scriptural references to stamp the changeless idea of
reality. By utilizing a story out of the Old Testament the picture of the immense surge that cleansed the
earth as a begin point and afterward utilized the picture that Armageddon will eventually happen at the
transformation of the Jews as an end point, the man tries to demonstrate the inconceivability of
anticipated human presence. In the meantime anyway he quietly implies toward the second more
agnostic area of the lyric. This symbolism it is fascinating in two regards; first it recommends that
physical human life has been finished by God and will be finished by him once more. In this way,
giving a scenery to the speaker s contention that in all actuality life is volatile and accordingly

Upon research, the statistics below show the impact illegal border crossing has on Arizona. a) Over
the past few years, many families have been faced with unemployment, while struggling to find steady
work. In 2011 8.7% of Arizonans were officially unemployed, but in the prior year, 9.3% of illegal
aliens made up the workforce. That s 262,587 Arizonans left without jobs and 278,460 illegal aliens
with jobs. b) 37% of Arizona s uninsured population contained is illegal aliens, which was costing
Arizona $320 million annually. c) New reports show that tens of thousand illegal children will be
attending public schools all over Arizona, funded by taxpayers. This will cost Arizona 1.3 billion per
year, which weighs down Arizona s already struggling education system. Water Shortage As rainfall
levels continue to drop below normal for Arizona, the drought continues to raise concerns. Although
rainfall isn t necessarily a type of water source, most of the rain Phoenix gets comes from the
Colorado River, which in turn is also one of Arizona s main sources of water and used for Arizona s
water reservoirs, Lake Mead and Lake Powell. Here are some concerning facts listed below: a) Lake
Mead currently has 45% of its capacity level filled, putting it at 1,085 feet above sea level. Lake Mead
is already at the lowest level since the 1930s and if the drought continues, it s expected to drop to
1,000 feet by 2020. Phoenix currently gets half its

Instant Messaging Research Paper
Is Instant Messaging Ruining America? It is the year 2017 I am astonished to say that out of 1,721
high schools and 1,266,505 high school students in the state of Texas, the educational testing service
and the Texas education agency still cannot determine the answer to this mystifying question. We live
in an age of information and an increasing need for automation in every aspect of everyday life. Is
technology ruining our since of face to face communication? New advancements in instant messaging
has helped connect people but some may say instant messaging has hurt us more than it helped. I think
that instant messaging helps us in many ways. When you re sitting at the side of the freeway with

Fortunato Short Story Analysis
This story by Edgar Allan Poe is one of premeditated murder. Montresor tells the story of the night
when he took his revenge on Fortunato, his friend. Montresor is upset about a long term insult
between his family and Fortunato s because Montresor says: Thousand injuries that he has suffered at
the hands of Fortunato . He plots to murder his friend during carnival, an event that is usually
represented by joy. Montresor chooses the exact moment when the man is drunk and not in his correct
mind. Montresor tricks Fortunato into the catacombs to try a wine and eventually seals Fortunato
within the catacombs to die. The story s setting describes one closely related to horror, as Poe causes
the readers to predict, to fear, and tremble in the opening. The atmosphere of horror increases much
more as Montresor describes his adventure with Fortunato into the vaults. There are several examples
of verbal irony within Montresor s words. Montresor says one thing that has more than one meaning.
Early on, Montresor gives demanding orders to his attendants, not to leave the house, knowing that
this will ensure that they would. More than once in the writing we can see Montresor calling Fortunato
his friend, while taking him to death. Fortunato says that his cough will not kill him. A cough won t
kill me , he says, and Montresor replies, True, true . This quote is probably the most memorable line of
the story because he was sure that the cause of his death would not be his cough. Verbal irony along
with dark humor seems to fill the whole story. It kind of baffles the reader to think one can be so
blindsided into falling for some of the things Montresor has set up for Fortunato s fate. Many times
verbal irony has more than one meaning which makes this story as great as it is. In Montresor s last
words there is the last example of irony, it happened when Montresor realized that his friend had
finally passed. He called Fortunato s name repeatedly, with no answer. Montresor threw his torch into
the small hole and it fell into Fortunato s place of death. His last words to his friend were In pace
requiescat, which means rest in peace. The irony can be interpreted in two ways, one is Montresor
wishing his friend to rest in

Examples Of Bacon s Rebellion
Howard Zinn discussed several things in this chapter. At first, he mentioned the white frontiersmen
rebellion and how the rebellion threat the government. This rebellion was bacon s rebellion. Also, he
talked about how the England government ended this rebellion. The main argument for Zinn in this
chapter was the division of the community in the colonies according to social and economic status into
upper class which was the wealthy people, and the lower class which consist of poor people. Also, he
talked about the relationship among white, and Indians, and black slaves. The first thing was the
division of the community. First, Zinn stated that the Bacon s rebellion was anti aristocrat and anti
Indians. For example, he said that bacon s rebellion in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After that, Zinn wrote about the poor class, white servants especially, who came to North America.
They were poor in England before coming to North America and remained poor. Many of them died in
the voyages because of starvation and diseases. Also, Zinn described the difficulties that the poor class
suffered from it. For instance, the servant women were raped. In addition, if the servants want to
marry, their master should agree otherwise he could separate the family. Moreover, Zinn stated the
government, which the wealthy men controlled it, passed laws to punish the servants. Also, the white
servants gained their freedom after a long time, but they remained in their poor class. Also, Zinn stated
another example of division by mentioning that in the Carolinas, John Locke, set up a feudal type
aristocracy. Locke s constitution stated that eight barons would own 40 percent of the land and only
barons could be governor. In addition, Zinn stated that the governors gave the lands to their friends; at
the same time, the poor people didn t have lands or foods. Another thing, Zinn said, All the cities built

Calypso And Odyssey Compare And Contrast
PART 4 CALYPSO( Ulysses James Joyce) VERSUS CALYPSO(Odyssey Homer)
Name: ALEXANDRU CORINA
II, R E , 4073
Chapter 4 Calypso ( pg.45 pg.57)
This chapter i am referring to is called Calypso because it has a certain correlation with the chapter
that has the same name from the Odyssey written by Homer. In this paper i have tried to point out the
main similarities and differences between the two chapters named Calypso. As Blamires says: In
Homer, the goddess Calypso holds Odysseus in amorous captivity for seven years until she is ordered
by the gods to release him. Here Leopold Bloom takes his morning departure from his wife to whom

Metempsychosis , he said, is what the ancient Greeks called it. They used to believe you could be

refer to both Bloom and Molly as the reincarnation of Odysseus(Bloom) and Calypso(Molly) and a
reversed relationship between husband and wife. Leopold asuumes the role of the wife and at the same
time the role of a captive man, while Molly assumes the role of the husband who stays in bed and asks

Comparison Between Benjamin Halpern And Andrew Rosenberg
Benjamin Halpern and Andrew Rosenberg have differing viewpoints as to whether or not our marine
resources can be sustainably managed. Halpern believes this can be achieved if traditional fishing
should be limited from marine protected areas to allow maintenance of these fisheries. But when
speaking about sustainable approaches for our marine resources with the public there s a lot of
resistance because the public tends to view these areas as excluded. In other words, the public is not
allowed traditional fishing, water sports, or other similar activities in those areas. That s why there are
different types of sustainable use and management of those resources. Areas like nursery grounds to
protect ecosystems are different from other areas settled for fishing species like the commercial
lobster, for example. Some species are set aside and protected until they reach a certain growth so then
they can eventually migrate to an area where they can be reached by local officials.
It will take a lot of education and training; conversations, discussions and outreach to other areas so
people can come and learn the use and value of such projects. It will take some time, but it can happen
because at the end of the day we do want a conservation of the ... Show more content on

and bringing benefits to our local communities. There is still room for improvement because many of
these areas today are not effectively managed. There are many differences in their revenues and
management profiles. And all of these MPAs share a common problem a critical lack of sustainable
funding for their recurrent expenses and investments. Rosenberg would agree this as one of the main
reasons our marine resources can t be managed. If there is no predictable funding, the MPAs cannot

Themes In John Steinbeck s Of Mice And Men
The sun climbed up the sky, shining the fields a brilliant golden. The barley stalks waved majestically
in the wind. A lush valley filled with green willows and shrubs lied past the fields. On the other side of
the field, the ranch was overshadowed by the large and strong Gabilans. A herd of rabbits bounded
through the valley, and sat on the fluffy grass, watching a large grey hulk stand lifelessly in the center
of the field. A large cloud meandered over the Gabilans, changing the well defined brown slopes to an
ominous black.
You two know what you doin ? the boss asked.

me, it wasn t pretty. The wind still blew, but Lennie prowled around the fumes, holding his breath each
time he walked near it.
Damn, why we gotta work in the sun while the tart can jus prance around an the boss can jus relax in
his house.
I hate workin this job too, but we gotta make a living, George said. How else can we do it? Besides,
you might get lucky one day and become like the other guys.
Whit laughed. That s a good one. Everyone says that they ll get their own land. But nobody never get
it. There ain t enough land for everyone in the world and guys like us, we never gonna get land, no
matter what we do. Lennie interrupted, But not us, we re gonna have our own land and house and
rabbits and... George glared at Lennie. That jus proves my point. Listen Lennie, if I were you, I would
jus take my pay an spend it on something worth enjoying. You wanna go in town with us? Gonna go
to Old Susy s and play some snooker. You ll have a hella fun time.
Lennie looked at George s menacing face, and said, I... no I m awlright.

Sex Selective Abortion Analysis
Based on my analysis of sex selective abortions along with weighing social workers ethical
responsibilities, I am a proponent of a ban on sex selective abortions. Social workers are commited to
promoting ethical practices, and aborting a healthy fetus based on its gender is unethical and to
promote such a practice would not encompass the value of integrity that social workers uphold. I do
feel that the idea of a medical professional probing into a patient s personal life and medical records to
decide whether the reason for that patients abortion is admissable is an invasion of privacy that could
end up being degrading and needs to be rethought and reformed. If we fail to address sex selective
abortion then we fail to protect equality. Social

Edson And The Planetarium Research Paper
Today was our field trip to the haunted USS Edson and the planetarium. It started out fun until I sat on
a fruit chew on the bus and had to have that on me all day. Besides that event, Sydney took the fact
that we were all ready for ghost to pop out any moment, or Paul, and used it to her advantage. She
would hide in little escape cubbies in dark rooms then pop out once we had thought Paul took her. She
would also bang on metal, wood, beds, or anything she could get her hands on to scare the crap out of
us. Besides Sydney s scaring, the ship was actually pretty cool, but it was pretty creepy. The stories
were definitely the best and being able to see and hear what happened on and to that ship was great.
Once we finished, we loaded the bus and

  • 2. Is Guatemala A Developing Country A developing country is an impoverished country that is seeking to become more advanced economically and socially. Guatemala is very much so in the position of a developing country. As one who lives in the United States of America, it is often times hard to understand what this exactly means. The majority of people born and raised in America will never experience the same situations that those from a developing country will experience. The cultural lifestyle of Guatemalans is much different than Americans because of the experiences they observe or participate in each day. Although Guatemala has not been successful in the aspects of society or economics, they are in the process of ameliorating. Guatemala is a particularly large country in South America. The country s terrain is dominated by mountains with narrow coastal plains, limestone plateaus, and volcanoes and jungles. The current population of Guatemala is 17,033,253 as of November 2017, according to the latest United Nations estimates (Guatemala Population (LIVE), 2017). The capital of the country is Guatemala City. For the past years, the politicians have been extremely corrupt. In 2016, Jimmy Morales had won the Guatemalan election to become the new president. His campaign slogan was neither corrupt not a thief . Because the people of Guatemala were beyond ready for a change in leadership, he won by a landslide. At the start of his term, people loved him and he seemed to be a great guy. He was a former comedian ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Role Of Christ s Church The role of Christ s church as it relates to evangelism, institutional change, and its ministry to the general laity, is a continuously growing dynamic that demands resources from church, while expanding the opportunity to grow the church which inevitably impacts the culture of the secular institutions from which most of its laity are employed. I believe that the understanding and revelation of God s word is all encompassing; so that in every season of our maturity in Christ, we can visit upon a word, a precept, with a fresh understanding and a new perspective that does not violate the integrity of it meaning and/or alter our doctrinal understanding. I believe that the role of evangelism is a prime example of how God has not only used the ministry of the gospel for the call to salvation, but also how he builds the body, institutionalizes the body, equips the body, empowers the body then dispatches the body back into the world from which it was called (Matthew 5:14). It is very difficult to dissect the anatomy of the body into its heterogeneous functions, then focus on one of them, when you know that the body of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit is really a single organism (1 Corinthians 12:12 ), with a single purpose, The Kingdom of God. However, it is one of the prime functions of the body to evangelize, which is the bringing of the good news, and the message of hope, that Gods people will become alive in him. This mission of evangelism (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15) was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Personal Narrative in Game Maplestory Essay Warriors: Wizards :: Mushrooms: Pigs The sun shone brightly as I stared off into the distant grass, swaying unrelentingly as the winds lashed upon it. But within the silky surface of the monotonous sea of green, I spotted an interruption a staccato in the melody of the breeze. From afar, I could see only see a vague outline, but I knew it was approaching me, mindlessly yet fervently as if I were a light and it were a bug. And so it began. I tightly wielded my club. I could feel the coarseness of the wood beneath my battle worn fingers. I lifted the weapon and situated it in front of me, grasping it firmly with both hands. I was a warrior, ordained by the venerable Chief Sitting Bull under the auspices of the proud tribe of Perion; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We quickly zipped on through and began traversing in unknown territory. The soft grass plains quickly became a deciduous forest filled with ancient trees covered in moss and dense foliage. The meager splotches of sunlight combined with the inherent eerie glow of the forest lent a mysterious aura that my brother and I were actively soaking in the sense of adventure and discovery was overwhelming. At each portal we waited with a childish anticipation of the next screen to come. But, of course, a group of fellow travelers, obviously of higher levels, barged into the scene. eli is in this portal, lolz one guy said as they disappeared into the portal we were about to enter. Hey, at least we know something important is there. I comforted. And we entered. Ellinia, as it was properly known, was an awe inspiring town with inhabitants living in dwellings high up within the trees, suspended by an elaborate system of rope and planks of wood. Compared to the teepees of Perion, these intricate tree houses were much more sophisticated. We were quick to catch on that the Great Wizard was to be found deep within Ellinia. Conveniently for us, we followed a group of wizard to be s in search of his infinite wisdom. After rummaging through multiple portals, leading from the outside to the grand library, the inner sanctum of the Great Wizard was one portal away. Organizational Culture and Structure Organizational Culture and Structure The structure of an organization determines the allocation of roles, regulations, and responsibilities, and therefore builds a basis for the culture in an organization. There is a constant relationship between organizational structure and organizational culture that provides a theme within an organization. Both can be difficult to clearly define and distinguish when analyzing an organization. Organization culture is a perspective into the company s personality; it provides descriptive values, principals, traditions, and a way of doing things that effect how members view the organization (Robbins, DeCenzo, Coulter, 2013). A strong organizational culture holds key values that are shared with all members. It is the responsibility of leaders to uphold an organization s culture to ensure that there is a proper foundation that binds the structure. Organizational Structure Any organization should have its own operating structure in order to reach success. Organizational structure is defined as a hierarchy of people that determine roles of authority, communications, and the duties of an organization (Robbins et al., 2013). Organizations must organize their structure to meet the needs of that particular organization, and assure that it resembles the values instilled by the organizational culture. The development of culture through an organization is a natural process that is dependent upon the instilled values of the leaders and members in the organization (O Neil, 2011). Leaders can still influence the culture by sticking to their values and implementing a strong and effective organizational structure. There are several models that organizations can utilize to structure the elements within the organization. The structure of an organization can be divided into two generic organization structure models. Below is a chart as presented by Robbins et al. (2013) ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Neuromuscular Junction Research Paper The neuromuscular junction is where the nerve meets our muscles. To be able to move, we would need an impulse sent from our brain to our muscles. The nerve impulse gets sent to our muscles from the CNS, which leads to our muscles contracting. The nervous impulse that s sent to the CNS is called the action potential, the impulse that sends a signal to our muscles is known as the motor neurones. For our muscles to contract we need a nervous impulse, the end of our nerves are called the synaptic knob, this hits the vesicles and releases acetylcholine. The acetylcholine then goes through the cleft (the gap between the synaptic knob and the muscle) and tells the muscles to contract, if it doesn t go through the cleft our muscles will not contract, this is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The nervous impulse will only reach the muscle fibres if the signal from the CNS is strong enough. This also is the all or nothing principle because if the strength of the signal is not strong enough the motor unit will contract, but if the strength of the signal is strong enough then all of the motor unit will contract. The function of the motor unit is to basically allow movement, so without these muscle fibres we won t be able to have movement. There are two type of muscle fibres, fast twitch and slow twitch. The slow twitch muscle fibres are good for activities such as endurance events, e.g. the marathon. This is because these muscles don t get tired during exercise. The fast twitch muscle fibres get tired too quickly because they are used for quick, sharp events such as 100m sprint so this can result in fatigue and therefore can build up lactic acid which will result in cramps (http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/body/factfiles/fastandslowtwitch/soleus.shtml) so if we didn t have slow or fast twitch fibres, we wouldn t be able to participate in them type of ... I would venture to say very few of us, if any at all. The First Step Toward Truth Is To Accept That You May Not Know It.So, how do we go about learning to love a God that we don t even understand? What is the truth about God! The first step in finding the truth is in accepting the fact that we might not know it. We will be discussing many things about God and religion with you and hopefully together we can gain a better understanding of our creator. Who Is God? God is everlasting love, joy and all wise that goes beyond all human understanding. Many people believe in a God and different religions see him in different forms. We see him in the form that we choose to see him in. Devotees of God will see him in the form Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, even an old man in the sky ext. However, the vision we see him as is just that a vision of what we believe he looks like. However, this is not the true nature of God. There have been many great teachers of God through the ages that are capable of teaching us about God, but to find God s true nature and the truly unique essence of him can only be found in deep meditation. Does God Have A Plan For Us? I never understood why people would think that God would have a plan for us when he gave us free will to decide for ourselves, and the intelligence to think and plan our own further out. So why would he then, threaten us ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Harmony Theory In Phaedo By Plato In Phaedo, by Plato, Phaedo recounts an incident with Socrates. The story starts with Socrates opening up saying that Philosophers should not only accept death, but welcome it. After all, although the body will pass, the soul is able to live on because it is immortal. He uses a lot of his intuition to back up his claim, but the main rationale is the Argument of Affinity. He claims that the world is very binary. Things are either incorporeal and invisible, or not. The body is physical, visible and corporeal. Things like the body that are visible are part of the sensible world and do not last. The soul however is not. It is invisible and incorporeal. That is why Socrates believes the soul is immortal. Simmias counters Socrates claim bringing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Clearly the harmony of the lyre is not immortal. Harmony doesn t survive the lyre, but rather is dependent upon the lyre. The lyre is similar to the human body and soul. Harmony is divine and incorporeal. However, the human body is much like the lyre in that it is both corporeal and visible. Because the lyre is held together in the proper way and at the right degrees, it is able to exist just as the soul does only through the appropriate ways and make up of the human body. This leads to the point that just because things are invisible and incorporeal does not necessarily mean they are immortal. We need to think of the soul as a different type of harmony. Socrates objects Simmias claims and refutes Harmony Theory many ways, but the one I find most notable is that Socrates believes that the soul is the master of the human body and directs and controls the body. Since the soul is eternal and the body is not, the soul controls the body throughout the entirety of its life. Socrates comments, further, of all parts of a man, can you mention any other part that rules him than his soul, especially if it is a wise soul? (Plato 132). Because it has this power, it tells the body what to do, where to move, and how to act. This is different than the harmony and the lyre. For example, on the other hand, we previously agreed that if the soul were a harmony, it would never be out of tune with the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I have been going to Pilates regularly for a year and I love how it is a fun challenge and how I learn life lessons from it. It would be an excellent activity to mentor kids with because it provides health benefits such as it improves posture, develops a strong core and back, prevents injuries, and improves flexibility, concentration, and balance. Comparable to Yoga, Pilates is on a mat and it is not a cardio exercise, but it is more strength training. It develops the core or the powerhouse rather than holding stretches for a long time. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is this realisation that sowed the seeds of collective bargaining which later resulted in trade unionism. The workers, working under a common employer, faced common problems and common tasks. They developed common sentiments, and organised themselves into associations which could meet the employers on a basis of equality. The inchoate labour organisations had to cross many hurdles before they could develop into fullfledged stable trade unions. There were internal dissentions, persistent and determined opposition from the employers, merciless persecution and suppression by the state (For example, in England, France, Germany and the United States, combinations of workmen per se were declared illegal), and the full throated condemnation of trade unionism by the advocates of free competition and laissez faire. In spite of these efforts at suppression, trade unions continued to grow, sometimes working underground and sometimes openly. They continued to defy the laws prohibiting the combination of workmen (Combination Acts of 1799 and 1800 in Great Britain, for example) and the judicial pronouncements (particularly, the judgement in the Philadelphia Cordwainers Case of 1806 in the United States) against the combinations of workmen. Under incessant pressures from the workers and their organisations, the law and the attitude of the courts gradually came to be modified. In Books 1 2, Lucretius expounds upon his atomic theory of indestructible particles, which cause an everlasting cycle of combination and separation, creation and destruction, and birth and death. Everything in the universe is composed of these particles, thus everything is mortal. Book 3 is dependent on the two previous books as it brings the ethical implication to the fore by discussing the nature of the soul and its mortality. • 18. The Armenian Genocide Summary Eugene Rogan s View on the The Armenian Genocide The Armenian genocide is unfortunately regularly overlooked because of the Holocaust. This is due to the amount killed and the extreme amount of structure in the mass killing somehow gives it a lot more notoriety in western textbooks. There is also the fact that maybe it is underlooked because it s a less western/ eurocentric impact on history and the countries that were involved. Eugene Rogan in his book The Fall of the Ottomans writes an in depth chapter about the armenian genocide and its origins. It paints the picture that first the Ottomans were not ready for a world war of that scale. This is due to the fact that the empire is way to spread out and its people way to differentiated in ethnicity, religion, and allegiances. These differences led to animosity between the Majority muslim and the minority catholic groups, accusing them to be not loyal to the empire which gave them the public support and the reason to kill and push the minority Armenians out of Turkey. I will be talking about in detail about the Chapter relating to the armenian Genocide; its origins and its importance to the fall of the ottoman empire. • 25. Fortunato Short Story Analysis This story by Edgar Allan Poe is one of premeditated murder. Montresor tells the story of the night when he took his revenge on Fortunato, his friend. Montresor is upset about a long term insult between his family and Fortunato s because Montresor says: Thousand injuries that he has suffered at the hands of Fortunato . He plots to murder his friend during carnival, an event that is usually represented by joy. Montresor chooses the exact moment when the man is drunk and not in his correct mind. Montresor tricks Fortunato into the catacombs to try a wine and eventually seals Fortunato within the catacombs to die. The story s setting describes one closely related to horror, as Poe causes the readers to predict, to fear, and tremble in the opening. The atmosphere of horror increases much more as Montresor describes his adventure with Fortunato into the vaults. There are several examples of verbal irony within Montresor s words. Montresor says one thing that has more than one meaning. Early on, Montresor gives demanding orders to his attendants, not to leave the house, knowing that this will ensure that they would. More than once in the writing we can see Montresor calling Fortunato his friend, while taking him to death. Fortunato says that his cough will not kill him. A cough won t kill me , he says, and Montresor replies, True, true . This quote is probably the most memorable line of the story because he was sure that the cause of his death would not be his cough. Verbal irony along with dark humor seems to fill the whole story. It kind of baffles the reader to think one can be so blindsided into falling for some of the things Montresor has set up for Fortunato s fate. Many times verbal irony has more than one meaning which makes this story as great as it is. In Montresor s last words there is the last example of irony, it happened when Montresor realized that his friend had finally passed. He called Fortunato s name repeatedly, with no answer. Montresor threw his torch into the small hole and it fell into Fortunato s place of death. His last words to his friend were In pace requiescat, which means rest in peace. Halpern believes this can be achieved if traditional fishing should be limited from marine protected areas to allow maintenance of these fisheries. But when speaking about sustainable approaches for our marine resources with the public there s a lot of resistance because the public tends to view these areas as excluded. In other words, the public is not allowed traditional fishing, water sports, or other similar activities in those areas. That s why there are different types of sustainable use and management of those resources. Areas like nursery grounds to protect ecosystems are different from other areas settled for fishing species like the commercial lobster, for example. Some species are set aside and protected until they reach a certain growth so then they can eventually migrate to an area where they can be reached by local officials.
