Hr. 3 During the rule of the Khmer Rouge, many innocent people were put through harsh treatment
including rape, slavery, and torture. Along with all of these things, many of these Cambodians were
killed for being too weak to work or do anything else. Pol Pot, who was the leader at this time, has
been estimated at killing around 2,500,000 Cambodians, which is nearly 20% of the population.
During the novel it is apparent that the author s purpose is to describe how life was during this time
for a young boy named Arn, show how brutal survival was for those who did, and how the Khmer
Rouge brainwashed their victims. In the book Never Fall Down , Arn starts off as a lower class kid
who does anything he can to make an extra buck. He sells ice cream to kids, but also gambles with
adults. However, he shows he doesn t want this money all for himself. After acquiring the money, he
buys gifts along with food, for his family to help them live a little better. Soon after, everything
changes as the Khmer Rouge take over the town filling them with lies about the Americans bombing

The Deer Hunter is a Vietnam war film directed by Michael Cimino released in 1978. It tracks the
lives of lifelong friends in a small town before and after three of them go to Vietnam. The main male
characters that go to Vietnam are Michael, Nick, and Steven. The beginning of the film shows the kind
of friendship they have with one another before becoming a soldier using up about an hour of
screentime. The middle of the film shows what they went through during the war, the last part of the

The setting of the film was realistic never did I think while watching that this was something that

He usually plays downtown and had his Alto sax with him. His name is Antwon Washington. He also
played in some of their other songs, but I don t know all the names of the music they performed. This
style of music really got to me because of the live instruments. Nowadays people make music but don
t have real instruments playing them. To experience music like this was a privilege. Lastly, my
experience was based on the things I liked or enjoyed about the band. There were multiple things that
I liked about it starting with the solos. I think the best solo was from the electric bass player. I had
never seen a bass player play a solo, but it was really good. It was a fast solo so he had to be a great
guitarist to play it that fast. Then, of course, the lead guitar solos, piano, drummer, and my friend s
solos. This type of music is something you can have fun with. The musicians can have fun, but the
audience can also have fun and groove out listening to it. Another thing I liked was how friendly the
band is. After the band performed, they were happy to officially meet my friend and everyone else at

get a better grade in college. It is a very useful book to help you to succeed in your college life. The
book includes nine rules, such as never sit in the cheap seats, come to class prepared, get spaced out,
and go to class always. Also, it shows the bad habits that students usually do and how they can change
these habits, so the author called it a game changer. I think rule #1, which is come to class always, is

The author mentions in each rule a game changer. It is the ways that can students change their bad
habits. It is also the reasons why students should follow the rules in the book. The game changer for
rule number one are two. First of all, there is no substitute for your own lectures notes. Even if
students are not good note takers, they should attend the class. Each student attends with his own
background information and his own organization style, so he will suffer a lot when he tries to use his
friends lectures notes. Secondly, each class period is a learning session. Students understand the
lecture more if they attend the class even if they are not good at note taking. Also, they will get higher
grade because they didn t miss these learning sessions. If a student missed a whole week of class, that
mean he missed three hours of learning sessions. That will affect his grade and his understanding of
