This document provides instructions for creating an iPhone app without programming skills using AppMakr. It describes AppMakr as a web-based tool that allows dragging and dropping elements to design an app interface. The instructions outline three steps: 1) filling in basic app details like name, colors and images; 2) adding functions like blogs, bookshelves from available options; and 3) publishing the app, downloading it and sharing it. The document recommends AppMakr for its simplicity compared to other options like Titanium and PhoneGap that require coding skills.

The Great Mobile Debate: Native vs. Hybrid App DevelopmentNick Landry
It’s not easy being a mobile developer. iOS and Android dominate the market, Windows Phone is climbing into third place, and we’re not really sure if BlackBerry still matters. Do you focus on one platform or many? What size of the mobile population do you really want to reach? Each mobile platform comes with its own programming languages, SDKs, IDEs and application lifecycle & architecture. Are we really expected to learn all of this? Isn’t HTML5 supposed to be the Silver Bullet so we can finally write apps once and run them everywhere? This session will demystify all these questions, walking you through the modern mobile ecosystem, and explore your options as a developer. We’ll review the native story on each major platform, discuss the pros & cons of both mobile native and web development, cover some of the cross-platform solutions available to developers, and explore best practices and guidelines to insure a successful mobile strategy. Don’t just blindly pick a side or assume that “one size fits all”, this session covers one of the most hotly contested debates in modern IT. Come join us and be a part of the conversation.

Welcome to the Program Your Destiny course. In this course, we will be learning the technology of personal transformation, neuroassociative conditioning (NAC) as pioneered by Tony Robbins. NAC is used to deprogram negative neuroassociations that are causing approach avoidance and instead reprogram yourself with positive neuroassociations that lead to being approach automatic. In doing so, you change your destiny, moving towards unlocking the hypersocial self within, the true self free from fear and operating from a place of personal power and love.
2. Introduction
• Did you know how easy it is to create
your very own iPhone app?
• You don’t need to hire a mobile agency
to help you create an iPhone app, nor
do you need to have deep technical
programming skills to build one
yourself.
• There are several tools out there which
can help you create and customize your
very own iPhone app in just a few
hours.
• You can build a customized iPhone app
for your business, community
group, sports team; personal resume or
even the favourite charities you’re
involved in.
3. What is your App?
• Have a clear idea what app you’re
planning to build.
• Collect as much information and
images that you would like to
include in your app.
• You can explore as much at the
start to get your creative juices
flowing.
?
4. Research: What are the mobile app
builders out there
• You can choose to use search engines, but we
recommend these three free-to-download
software available on the internet that helps
you create mobile apps for your iPhone
- Appcelerator Titanium 2.0
- PhoneGap
- AppMakr
5. Appcelerator Titanium 2.0
(www.appcelerator.com)
•
This user-friendly platform allows you to build
cross-platform applications that will run on
Android, iPhone and Windows devices
•
Uses JavaScript coding normally used for web
development
•
Easy for web developers to transition into
mobile development
•
For Java newbies, you can check out the Java
tutorials here.
http://www.w3schools.com/js/
6. PhoneGap
www.phonegap.com
•
An Apache Software Foundation Incubator project
named Cordova is another platform that lets you
build a native iPhone app wrapper around standard
HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
•
Deployable on various platforms (Android, Windows,
Blackberry, Symbian, WebOS and Bada)
•
More suitable for those looking to extend datadriven web applications; rather than graphicsintensive applications; to a broad range of mobile
devices.
•
Provides good API documentation and only requires
a short API learning curve. Hence for those who
knows a bit of Java, they will see this as a breeze.
7. AppMakr
www.AppMakr.com
•
A web-based tool most suitable for those who
are not keen in learning Java or get involve in
any coding work.
•
Simple drag-and-drop interface, and the
elements dragged here are the actual icons
used in your app / site, rather than symbolic
blocks.
Advantages:
• AppMakr automatically creates cross-platform mobile apps that run natively on Android,
iPhones as well as simultaneously creating a mobile web site that will run in the browser of
any HTML5 enabled smartphone.
•
Apps built are automatically uploaded for free to AppMakr’s own app market and the web,
and can also be published to commercial markets including iTunes and Google Play for a
small fee.
•
This app is what we’ll use for the rest of the article, since it seems to be the best choice
among the three.
