Insurance Coverage
You bought your aircraft and contacted your insurance agent to obtain coverage. That was several
years ago. You have been paying your premiums, but facts have changed. Has your insurance agent
been notified of the changes? Do the coverages match your current operating structure? An insurance
review can cover the basics or analyze your coverages. At the basic level you need to ensure your
aircraft is accurately described. Did you change the aircraft s registration number, but forget to notify
the insurer? Follow these steps to get started. Consider: 1. Hull (physical damage) coverage. Is the
current coverage sufficient? Are you over insured? 2. Liability coverage. Is the current coverage
sufficient? How many passengers are usually on the aircraft? Have the types and number of
passengers changed? Should you obtain a quote for additional coverage? 3. ... Show more content on

notify the insurance agent and/or the FAA. If you are now leasing the aircraft, are the lessee s named
as additional insureds, reflecting the fact that they operate the aircraft? Are you now timesharing the
aircraft to a company executive? 4. Pilot Clause. Which pilots are allowed to fly your aircraft? Do you

William Glasser’s Choice Theory Essay
Dr. William Glasser was a distinguished psychiatrist and author known for his distinctive views about
mental illness. Glasser broke away from the traditional model of psychotherapy in the early 1960s to
develop his own model of counseling. Dr. Glasser began with the development of therapy before he
developed his theoretical stance. Glasser created what is known as Reality Therapy. Glasser first
defined Reality Therapy as a therapy that leads all patients toward reality, towards grappling
successfully with tangible and intangible aspects of the real world (p.6).
In 1967, he founded The Institute for Reality Therapy. In 1969, Glasser published Schools Without
Failure. Glasser suggests that children be taught about these needs as well ... Show more content on

He offers choice theory to replace external control and has dedicated the remainder of his life to
teaching and supporting this idea.
After almost 20 years without a theory, Glasser published Control Theory in 1984. In essence, reality
therapy was the art of change, and control theory was the theory of what needed to be changed and
why. Howatt (2001).
In 1996, Glasser announced that he was going to start referring to what had hitherto been control
theory, as choice theory, and in 1998 published Choice Theory: A New Psychology of Personal
Freedom. Glasser felt that the term control was misleading and suggestive of coercion.
In this book, Glasser greatly expanded the understanding of motivation and behavior. He and then
added, Warning: Psychiatry Can Be Hazardous to Your Mental Health (2003), to help people improve
their mental health and happiness. In 2005 he produced a booklet, Defining Mental Health as a Public
Health Issue to provide a new resource for mental health professionals. Finally, in 2007, Eight Lessons
for a Happier Marriage, which he co authored with his wife, Carleen, became his third book to help
couples learn important tools for improving their relationship.
Dr. Glasser s approach was non traditional. He does not believe in the concept of mental illness unless
there is something organically wrong with the brain that can be confirmed by a pathologist. He was
among the first to question and doubt the existence

Analysis Of The Movie Rita Ha By Noah Baumbach
Chosen Clip: Clip 1 from Frances Ha (2012) Dir Noah Baumbach Directed by Noah Baumbach in
2012, Frances Ha follows young New Yorker Frances Halliday (Greta Gerwig) who, at age 27, is
living with her best friend Sophie (Mickey Summer) whilst in an attempt to get her life heading in a
succesful direction. The film examines and humanizes the importance of growing up in different
cultures, experiencing the highs and lows of a sacred friendship, the realities of early adulthood and
making sacrifices in order to get to where you need to be. The stand out aspect of cinematography
used in this scene and Frances Ha as a film throughout is the careful choice by Baumbach to shoot

Omtting colour and using natural lighting helps not only this scene but the entire story to develop as it
provokes more concentration from the viewer into this raw dialouge and acting. The classical style of
cinematography is used by Levy in shooting Frances Ha. The scene is shot with a steadycam evident
through a smooth pan following Dan from the couch to the kitchen. For the majority of the scene, the
camera is fixed in one position on Frances and Dan through a mid shot as they are seated on the
couch. This shot size is framed around the subjects for a measure of distance (Bordwell and
Thompson, 2008). The pair are sitting very close together and the shot further outlines this by being
close to the subjects without being labelled as close up shot. It is a tight frame, with a tight fix on the
subjects. This communicates to the audience that these two are a couple and they are very comfortable
with eachother and have been for a long time. The depth of field and focus range is very slim. This is a
result of the distance between the closet and farthest objects in the scene being very small. Baumbach
wants to focus soley on the characters in this scene as the position of the frame is extremely neutral.
The lens is level with the pair sitting down on the couch with no high or low angles used. For
Baumbach, it was not a case of symbolic cinematography, but instead to provide a more a neutral
perspective to develop the

Meaning And Definition Of Ledger By J. R. Batliboi
Meaning and Definition of Ledger
According to J.R. Batliboi , The ledger is the chief of accounts and it is in this book that all the
business transactions would ultimately find their place under their accounts in a duly classified form.
A Ledger should be kept in the form of bound register, or in the form of cards or in punched sheets or
it can be in the form of loose leaf binder. Every account in the ledger is opened preferably or it can be
in a separate page or card
These all business transactions are first recorded in Journal or Special Purpose Subsidiary Books. The
next step is to transfer the entries to the respective accounts in Ledger. In other words this shows that

accounts should not be opened for posting transactions relating to the same account. If there are two
customers with similar names, say the Account of Anil (of Karol Bagh) and the Account of Anil (of
Chandni Chowk).

Summary Of A Room Essay
Alone in a room. Quiet. Motionless. Suddenly she walks into a room, puts her blinding gold bag down,
and begins to pace. Back and forth. Back and forth. Is she angry? Upset? Confused? It is possible. But
take a closer look. Her face shows no sign of defeat. Instead, the girl is smiling, But why? Then she
stops dead in her tracks. Grabs her phone puts on headphones, then resumes pacing. Back and forth.
Only this time around she starts convulsing, with unusual jerking movements. To the untrained eye,
this girls looks as though she needs help. However, she is a star. What we don t see is that in her mind
she is dancing, smiling, performing, and all eyes are on her. Honestly, she can dance, but if you were
to watch her now she looks insane. In reality, though, when the music comes on it is all her, she only
wants to dance, because she misses it. If you happen to walk in on this it is best to smile and back
away calmly, because she is having the time of her life. Reliving old memories, and aspiring to create
new ones. What a great story. Dancing. Old memories. At first glance you would possibly think that
this story is about memories, inspiration, a hidden talent maybe? Sadly no. This story is going
nowhere near that. Soon after wearing herself out the girl proceeds to grab her laptop and leaps onto
the bed grasping for anything to hoist herself up. Once she is situated, all she can do is stare at the
bright screen, and Blink. A few ideas are tossed around in

Comparing Arcite And Palamon
As host on the trail to Canterbury I have the honor of judging all the stories told by my companions.
The tales ranged from love to death to despair, but only one can win. The Knight is a valiant, young
soul who never ceases to impress on and off the battlefield. His tale also impresses its audience. The
knight is the winner because his tale is filled with love, pain, adventure. The Knight s tale is a love
story. The two main characters, Arcite and Palamon, are madly in love with the Princess, Emily. They
both love her at first sight, so much so that Arcite says that the beauty of Emily hit him with so much
force, that if Palamon was severely wounded he would still hurt more, ... at the sight of her beauty
touched him so that, if Palamon

Constructivist Classroom In The Classroom
Having a constructivist classroom can mean many different things. Being a teacher with a
constructivist perspective is a different type of teaching style than people are used to. Constructivism,
as I understand it, is a way of teaching that has the students learn through their own methods. They are
to try to find their own style of learning a concept, whether it be in their heads or with unifix blocks or
by drawing pictures. Everyone learns differently and children need to be given the freedom to explore
their learning by themselves. Also, students need to be able to construct their own meanings and
insights without teacher instruction. Having a constructivist classroom would mean the teacher not
giving as much direction as in a traditional classroom. Teachers with this perspective want their
students to be mathematizing their learning (FD Ch 1.4).
An example of this concept of mathematizing was when in Madeline s classroom. She wanted her
students to understand the concept of counting on instead of starting back at 1 and the idea that
numbers are nested inside of each other (FD Ch 1.5). Madeline was having her students count red and
green beads to make a necklace of 22. Some of them understood that if you had 19 beads, then you
only need 3 more to make 22 while others started back at 1 to count to 22 altogether.
This sense of numbers enveloped in other larger numbers is a huge concept for young children. They
can mimic adults and count objects without a sense of

Analysis Of Edward Abbey s Desert Solitaire
Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey begins in the area surrounding Moab, Utah. He discusses his
intense love and adoration for the land. This theme of laying out the land for the reader continues from
Chapters 1 5. It is apparent the Abbey adores nature in its purest form. Abbey rarely has visitors of the
human kind, he is more often visited by snakes, deer, birds, and other wildlife than the parks
superintendent, the chief park ranger, and a few tourists here and there. Abbey finds himself a little
lonely from time to time in the beginning of the book but by Chapter 3: The Serpents of Paradise he
finds a friend. He first encounters a not so friendly creature, a faded midget, a poisonous rattlesnake
lying underneath his doorstep. Abbey often finds himself talking to the animals in this book, so he
decides to issue the snake a warning and remove it. When it comes back to the trailer a second time,
Abbey keeps his promise and kills the snake. Eventually, he finds another snake, which he recognizes
is an enemy to the rattlesnake, and he sets out to domesticate it. Abbey decides to take it on excursions
with him, wrapping the snake around his waist underneath his shirt. Eventually, the snake was
released and never returned. In Chapter 4, Abbey focuses more on the plants in the region, citing his
favorite wildflower, the cliffrose, and going over his weekly schedules. His busiest days are the
weekends when campers come, after he cleans, makes his rounds, takes a couple days off, restocks
supplies, and then starts all over again. Chapter 5, is when things start to get heavy. It is at this point
Abbey starts revealing how truly frustrated he is with the US government and the tourists. Abbey is
fiercely protective of the park and soon discovers that roads will be paved in the park to increase
tourism. He is horrified at the aspect of a new road because he sees automobiles as an enemy to the
National Park industry. To Abbey, cars limit tourists from actually see the land, stating that a short
distance on bike or foot is much more appreciated than a very long distance in a car. He also suggests
a new plan for national parks in order to preserve their authenticity. Abbey thinks that tourists should
travel to the campsites

Why Women Empowerment And Entrepreneurs
Why women empowerment and entrepreneurs
Swami Vivekananda, one of the greatest sons of
India, quoted that, There is no chance for the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is
improved, It is not possible for a bird to fly on only one wing.
Therefore, inclusion of Women Empowerment as one of the prime goals in the eight Millennium
Development Goals underscores the relevance of this fact. Thus, in order to achieve the status of a
developed country, India needs to transform its colossal women force into an effective human resource
and this is possible only through the empowerment of women.
Economic empowerment is the first step towards political empowerment and beyond. Economic
empowerment should enable woman to take greater financial risks, greater standards of development
and more access to resources; it is not merely a marginal increase in income.
However, if economic empowerment has to translate into substantial change in power relations, the
socio political empowerment should take place simultaneously. HE Tebelelo Seretse Ambassador of
Botswana to the united state said that when you empower a man, you empower an individual, when
you empower a woman you empower the nation. It is perfect statement because a nation s
competitiveness in the long term depends on how it educate ,trains and equips its women power
potential talent base by providing them the same rights ,responsibilities and opportunities as others.
Empowering women worldwide and investing

The Maltese Front And The Novel Of The Maltese Falcon
The film of the Maltese Falcon and the novel of the Maltese Falcon share some stark differences along
with certain similarities that the film and novel hold. John Huston who directed the film of the Maltese
Falcon shows Sam Spade a little differently as to how Dashiell Hammett portrays him. Both do share
some commonalities between them, yet we see a greater split from novel to film in the final scene of
the Maltese Falcon. The film portrays Spade as this stoic, cold hearted detective. Yet, the novel
displays Spade as a more dominate grabbing man that needs answers now. The film differs from the
novel as we see Spade portrayed in the film as a cold and stoic character as we see him in the novel as
a more dominate and persistent character. As we progress through the final scene Sam Spade briskly
moves on to alert the authorities about having Cairo and Gutman on the move. The novel shows Sam
after putting the receiver down to appear nervous he wet his lips and looked down at his hands. Their
palms were wet. He filled his deep chest with air. His eyes we glittering between straightened lids (p.
574). As to the film when we see Spade hang up the phone he briskly approaches Brigid trying to get
as much information out of her as he can before the police arrive in the film at 1:28:52. As we see in
the novel Hammett wanted to show Spade as being nervous for what is about to happen and for how
aggressive he will be in order to get all of the information needed prior to the police arriving. Huston
doesn t show any of that, but goes straight into getting all of the information out of Brigid as soon as
possible. Leaving a major lack in character for the film Spade as compared to the novel Spade. Next,
we follow to see Spade grabs Brigid and says G d damn you, talk! (p. 575) which shows Spade as a
dominate and demanding individual. The significance of him grabbing executes this notion of
dominance and the meaning of how important this is to Spade. In the film Spade at that moment wasn
t as forceful to get this information out of Brigid. Around 1:29:26 Spade was standing badgering
Brigid with question after question, in addition to asking rhetorical questions that Spade already knew
the answer for. Having Spade in the

New York Coaches Case Study
The New York Jets are actively pursuing free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins. With four quarterbacks
expected to go early in the 2018 NFL Draft, here s why Gang Green should not waste their time
signing him.
At the start of the 2018 season, quarterback Kirk Cousins will be 30 years of age. The average career
span of an NFL quarterback with at least one Pro Bowl appearance is 11.7 years as provided by
Statista. Cousins would enter his seventh pro season in 2018. Which would give him five more
seasons left in his NFL career, according to the study.
Some of the past great quarterbacks declined in play at the age of 37. As a study by the Boston Globe
showed. Players such as Dan Marino, John Elway, and Brett Favre all declined in play. Except for the
great Tom Brady, who is still on top of his game at 40. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The objective the New York Jets would want if they signed Cousins, would be to win their second
Super Bowl championship. The one goal that has neglected the organization since 1968.
After the career year that former Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had in which he led a team full of
high priced veteran players one game away from making the NFL playoffs back in 2015, things weren

left in cap space was not the way to success and committed themselves to rebuilding reconstructing

Tweed Supreme Court Case
One chilly December morning in 1868, William Boss Tweed smiled calmly as he lied to an entire
court during a huge publicised trial Boisterous and humorous, he endeared himself to the jury
members and escaped reproach. This trial was to address the huge issue of voting fraud that plagued
New York. The Democratic party, of which Tweed was a powerful member, illegally counted
Republican votes and doctored Democratic votes to outnumbered them. A letter printed in the paper,
supposedly from Sam Tilden, another Democrat, asked New York politicos to send in their estimates

they were legitimate or not. In retaliation, Tammany raised mayor John Hoffman prohibited anyone

them just as quickly as they were thrown in jail being released (Ackerman 53 55). Hoffman became
governor, leaving Tammany s Grand Sachem seat empty for Tweed to fill (Ackerman 57). At this
point, Tweed won every battle that came his way. In 1866, as it would later be discovered, he, Hall,
Richard Connolly, and Peter Barr Sweeney started the Tweed Ring , which ultimately damned him.
Over the next five years, the foursome would make between $40 and $100 million dollars off the city

The Effects Of Globalization On The Economic And Cultural...
Globalization is when interactions are made from trade and financial relationships amongst people,
government, and companies. This is what allows the people around the globe to buy and sell the same
items, even if the products weren t from that country originally. That may seem alright, however, there
are arguments between individuals who believe it has negative effects and those that see it as a
positive force. Although, I believe it is positive for the United States and for the rest of the world, just
take a look at the economic and cultural borders. To start with there are a few negative effects of
globalization for the economic and cultural borders. Even though, trade can become successful with
countless industries, it also creates losers since they can t compete with foreign competition. For

The Security Industry And Its Effect On Its Functional...
In an essay of no less than 750 words, select an element of technology that you believe has
revolutionized the security industry and justify both its effect and its functional operation.
In the last twenty years, the internet has been much the foundation for all technological advances. It
has served as the basis of how humans and devices communicate with each other, and it has allowed
for the proliferation of converging and emerging technologies. Specifically, the security industry has
benefited from the creation of network products thus eliminating the need for human resources. As
inter connectivity is rapidly expanding and evolving, so to are emerging technological trends and their
applicability to the security industry. As it applies to the revolution of cyber technology, the security
industry may choose to view this element through three lenses internet of things (IoT), social
networking and ethical approaches.
The future of digital marketing and business opportunities will see the emergence of mobile, social,
cloud and information, identified as the Nexus of Forces (Gartner press release, 2014, para.7). These
enterprise groups will be looking at more innovative and creative ways in which to reach the
consumer. Mobile devices and social media will therefore become the likely gateways. Digital
business will focus on the convergence of people, things and business (Gartner press release, 2014).
The IoT is set to transform business and industry over the

Both Knocking by Rick Hautala and The Road Virus Heads North by Stephen King are masterfully
crafted horror stories that lead readers on a psychological rollercoaster. The authors are able to
generate such a detailed and in depth atmosphere that it causes readers to picture themselves in the
terrifying situations that they have devised for those reading. Through the evolution of monsters ,
point of view and atmospheric conditions which help to create a mood that engulfs readers both King
and Hautala are able to write brilliant horror stories.

This is ineffective because he is paranoid about the painting and is completely consumed by the
thought of it harming him. Paranoia is terrorizing Kinnell similarly to how fear devastated Gordon in
Knocking .
King is able to turn a used concept into a phenomenal story by perfectly using the third person point of
view in The Road Virus Heads North . Encounters throughout the story are much more interesting
because King allows the reader into the other characters feelings. The third person point of view is
best exemplified during Kinnell s eventual demise. The feet coming down the hall now, worn boot
heels rapping on polished hardwood. A terrible paralysis had gripped Kinnell. While reading this I
could almost hear the way the boots would sound and I began to become tense thinking about
something coming. King used the third person point of view beautifully to transform an already done
topic into an interesting piece of horror fiction.
Like The Road Virus Heads North Hautala uses the third person point of view which makes an already

Essay On The Battle Of The Bulge
Battle of the Bulge By the time World War II ended, numerous battles were won and lost by both
sides. Millions of soldiers were killed defending their countries. One of the most famous battles was
the Battle of the Bulge. The result of this battle would all but end any hope for Adolf Hitler to win
World War II. The essay will cover the events leading up to the Battle of the Bulge, how this battle
was fought, the casualties, and what happened after this battle was over. This will give a better
understanding, some expertise, and awareness of how important this battle was to the Allied forces.
The Battle of the Bulge is said to be Adolf Hitler s final, desperate gamble of the war (Battle of the
Bulge Timeline (December 16th, 1944 January 25th, 1945), n.d.). This was because by this time in
World War II, Adolf Hitler was running low on supplies. Knowing that this war could end for him
soon, he made a frantic effort to try and win the war. Since he was low on supplies his goal was to
reach the post city of Antwerp and disrupt the Allied front and their much needed supply lines along
the way (Battle of the Bulge Timeline (December 16th, 1944 January 25th, 1945), n.d.). This was an
important battle that needed to be won, and it is said to be the largest and perhaps the most savage
land battle fought by the Americans in World War Two (The Battle of the Bulge: Hitler s Final
Gamble, 2005). This battle started on December 16, 1944. This started with the surprise

What Is The Conceptual Frameworks Of Both Philosophical...
In philosophical jurisprudence, legal positivism has made a niche for itself in defining itself in
opposition to a somewhat straight laced reading of natural law theory. Often the comparison is based
solely on an exceedingly strong and doctrinal interpretation of the two competing models. In this
paper I will examine and distinguish the conceptual frameworks of both philosophical positions,
detailing the strong and weak theses of natural law ; while in turn also examining the implications of
hard and soft legal positivism. The finer distinctions between these more tailored or qualified theses
need to be recognized in order to provoke a better understanding of the disagreement from a
conceptual perspective.

In an ancient, modern, and contemporary context, natural law has been identified in not only with
morality but also with the human ability to employ reason and to identify principles of rational
conduct. Rational conduct, by ancient thinkers was more often identified by what is Good (be that in
terms of divine eternal truths, or empirical notions of naturalistic perfection or completion) whereas
more modern variant of natural law may identify a rational principle based on other considerations
such as not only what is good, but what right, just, fair, reasonable or practical.
Mark Murphy credits Thomas Aquinas with the natural law maxim necessarily, law is a rational
standard for conduct (i.e. the strong thesis hard necessity). He argues that natural law is often falsely
recognized to be synonymous with a Latin maxim commonly associate with Cicero, St. Augustine, or
Thomas Aquinas is lex iniusta non est lex , or unjust law is not law . Subscribing to this maxim would
be a preposterous and gross interpretation of mainstream Thomist natural law. Although this phrase
may provoke reflection upon whether unjust laws ought to be considered valid, or truly law; this is
just an oversimplified version of the logical principle of non contradiction and often incorrectly
attributed to natural law, in the form of a straw man. There are obviously unjust laws that were spotted
throughout present time, country, and history. These laws may undoubtedly be considered as

Dna Deoxyrimidine
DNA is known as deoxyribonucleic acid, which is a hereditary material that all eukaryotic organisms
have. DNA is mostly located in the nucleus of cells but can also be found in mitochondria. The
information of DNA is stored as a code made up of four chemicals. Two of these chemicals are
purines, the other two pyrimidines. The purines are Adenine and Guanine. The pyrimidines are
Thymine and Cytosine and the purines pair with the pyrimidines. Specifically Adenine with Thymine,
and Guanine with Cytosine. Every strand of deoxyribonucleic acid uses the same bases, just arranged
in different orders. DNA strands are in a shape of a double helix, if you were to get a closer look, you
would see nucleotides. A nucleotide are the basic unit of structure for DNA. They consist of a sugar,

Cloning is typically the action of creating a genetic copy of an organism. Clones can come about
naturally, or in a lab. Naturally, bacteria and some plants are able to produce on their own. They do
this by pretty much splitting in half and growing from there. They reproduce how our cells do so to
speak. Natural cloning can also occur in animals. In animals, clones can occur when a zygote, or
embryo splits in half at least once. This creates two identical eggs with the same DNA. According to
the National Human Genome Research Institute s section on cloning, there are three different types of
artificial cloning. Those types of cloning include gene cloning, therapeutic cloning, and reproductive
cloning. Gene cloning is when they take a piece of foreign DNA, or a gene, and insert it into a vector,

Abstract: The experiment s goal was to study the effects of temperature and the rate of breakdown of
starch by fungal and bacterial amylase. In order to conduct this experiment four samples were taken
from both specimen and placed in four different temperatures. After a period of time a portion of the
sample was taken and added to a portion of starch which was then mixed with iodine. Iodine reacts
with starch to produce a change in color in the iodine from a brown to a dark purple. This serves as a
method of measuring the breakdown of the starch by the amylase by comparing the color of iodine
when mixed with starch and comparing it with the added amylase. It was also noted that because both
specimen reacted differently with the temperature change, it was concluded that thy had differing
optimal temperatures (Bacillus licheniformis reacting with an optimal temperature of 55 degrees
Celsius while Aspergillus oryzae reacted optimally with a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius). In order
to conduct the experiment, samples from both specimens were taken and placed in four test tubes all
with a different temperature. Iodine was then taken and placed into a spot plate labeled with the type
of amylase and corresponding

Ireland, and also we will go over three of the most influential dances that Ireland has. So lets get

This dance is actually danced to the same music as a jig but is done in different time. It is still a very
lively piece of music that it is danced too but instead of 6/8 time it is done in either 2/2 time or 4/4
time. Reel music is popular all over the world. It came to the United States and Canada threw
immigrants from the British Isles. In reels you will find two downbeats, these are the most important
part of the dance and signal the dancer on what to do. It is crucial to understand the beat of the reel
before ever attempting to dance it. Traditionally the reel was danced in soft shoes, but it can also be
done in hard shoes as well. The most important thing to remember about the Irish reel is the dance
figure. In this dance the dancers will start at one point and end at another. This dance usually creating
the shape of a circle. The reel also shows origin from folk dancing. The difference being the reel is
more of a country folk dance. The reel was more popular in Scotland than Ireland. This was until the
17th century when it disappeared while under the ruling of the Presbyterian churches. But luckily the
reel reappeared in the Scottish lowlands after the 1700s; and from here stayed a part of the culture.
Today the reel a lot like the jig is done mostly in stage acts, and also for celebratory purposes like
weddings, and

Whole Foods Market Inc. positions itself more than just a food enterprise, where it aims at selling
quality organic and natural products, by creating an ideal consumer experience for those willing to pay

its competitiveness.
Strength
The company has expertise market knowledge and experience in this industry, where they have
recorded a consistent growth over the years, making it a leader in the organic foods market in the
United States. Across the North of America, the company has more than 196 stores, which are the fifth

The firm s ability to produce quality organic foods acts as the strategy for limiting adverse
competition from its opponents. Furthermore, Whole Foods Market has significantly exploited the
product part of the marketing mix, which has positioned it as the sole producer of the best and quality

consumer experience of more than just food, by establishing a talking store, which exceeds a typical
supermarket.
The third strength is good employer reputation, where the company is dedicated to forming a long and
healthy relationship with their team members. Finally, a positive image, advertising channel, and
sustainability. In London, Whole Foods Market applies the concept of corporate social responsibility,
by sponsoring the various event, offering food to the needy, among other philanthropic activities,
which has created a positive image for the company. Again, the firm has a competitive advantage
based on the size of the stores, where every store has a customised layout.

How Does Salt Concentration Affect The Rate Of Osmosis In...
In this experiment I am looking at what the effect of various salt concentrations will have on the rate
of osmosis in potatoes. Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from a high water potential to a
low water potential through a semi permeable membrane. All cells have semi permeable membranes
which means that it only allows certain substances in and out of the cell. Many factors effect the rate
of osmosis, this includes temperature and the amount of salt added.
I think that when the potatoe is placed in a salt concentration where the water potential is greater the
potatoe molecules will move from the potatoe to the salt and a decrease in the mass will happen. The
more salt there is in the water the fresher the potatoe will stay. The ... Show more content on

There are 3 different types of osmosis, they are called hypertonic, hypotonic and isotonic. Hypertonic
is when water spreads out of the cell, making the cell shrink. Hypotonic is when water moves into the

does not shrink nor swell or burst. Pros and cons around osmosis: The pros around osmosis are the
water is outstanding and very clean, it is at a very low cost, the water tastes better therefore you would
want water instead of cola and food tastes much better. The cons around osmosis are the clogging in
the taps, filter replacement and it is a very slow process A filtration system is an ideal environmental

The Importance Of Teaching In Education
Introduction
Education is about in parting knowledge based on one s belief, truth and justification with the purpose
of surviving in this changing world. Highly educated people are well recognized and given high
reputation in the society. Hence, teaching is a process of sharing information between the teacher and
students in a positive, caring, changing and stress free environment where new knowledge must be
constructed and tested through student teacher interaction using different strategies so that children
could master knowledge and skills of desired fields including values, ethics, and other social
knowledge. To fulfill this purpose, teachers should be active, forward thinking, energetic,
knowledgeable, sincere and punctual for changing one s truth, belief and justification. To satisfy these
educational needs, learning should be a fun mechanism for students in which they enjoy by
responding, interacting, socializing, inventing, sharing, discovering and deciding about knowledge,
skills, values, ethics and discipline by expressing a permanent change in behaviour. As learning is
defined as a permanent change in behaviour, it is teacher s interest to consider teaching as a personal
challenge in which students are diverted to a more progressive learning environment where they make
their own judgment based on what they experience with exposure to real life like activities. With this
as teacher s interest in the field, it is a sensation for them to focus on the whole child

Phone Records Between 1970 And 1970
Telephone is a telecommunications device used to communicate between two or more people in any
distance. Primarily telephones were used only for communication purposes but today telephones are
as powerful and useful as computers are. With the evolution of phones, many things have changed
which includes phone records. In past, phone records involved only phone numbers but today there is
so many data and information on phones. These records include phone numbers, bank information,
personal pictures and videos, location and text messages. These records are often used by law
enforcers to investigate crimes by gathering information from phone records. Since 1970 many things
has changed. This paper examines the technological differences between phone records in the 1970
and smartphones, privacy and how courts affect the technology. In past law enforcers could pull phone
information without probable cause which means telecommunications industry used to be more
cooperative with law enforcement. But now there have been many changes. Knutson, Gryta, Barrett
(2014) write on the article that AT T Inc. said federal investigators might need a warrant to gather data
about cellphone user s location, challenging the more permissive legal framework the government has
used for year. This means law enforcers will need probable cause to get warrant from a judge before

The Ways Of Non Point Source Pollution During The Great Lakes
The way of Non point source pollution in the Great Lakes
Atmospheric precipitation
Many contaminants settle out of the atmosphere, such as acid rain, the pollutants and nutrients will
transport from distant places by air depositing into the lake as the form of rain. The first pollutants as
atmospheric deposition on the Great Lakes were phosphorus. It is found that about 20 percent
phosphorus entering Lake Michigan comes from the atmosphere by determination of rain, snow and
dust. Since phosphorus pollution generated by this approach cannot be controlled, so it is more urgent
to reduce the phosphorus content of detergent, sewer and effluent fertilizers. People found fish in a
lake of Lake Superior in a remote island containing PCBs and toxaphene, and this place isolated with
no direct way to pollution. This determines the long range transport of pollutants through the
atmosphere and settlement in the lake. In fact the processes of material transport through atmospheric
was very complex. For instance PCBs was insoluble in water, so as to re enter the atmosphere during
evaporation or connected together into small particles. A lot of PCBs volatilize from the lake,
meanwhile, PCBs coming from various parts of the air mass experience the sedimentation on the lake.
Other than that the contaminated sediment is another way to cause pollution of the lake. This is
problems of the most urban industrial areas. Even if there is likely to remove severely contaminated
sediments in

Realization of the Network Centric Warfare ideas became the main goal of the Donald Rumsfeld s era

communications systems between units and their commanders. The main task of the specially

Although they produced many progeny, the ones with the greatest fitness, and had produced the most
young were the ones with the advantageous trait. They would either have a higher metabolism during
cold climates or a low metabolism in a warm climate. There was a distinct inverse relationship

The results showed that rats raised in cooler temperatures developed a greater body and coat mass that
those of warm reared mats. This significant difference indicates that the environment plays an
important role in the hair coat insulation. The rats reared in the cooler temperature had maintained a
relatively heavier hair coat with darker fur while those that were raised in the warmer temperatures
had relatively lighter hair in lighter color. The heavier hair coat plays a greater role in the maintenance
of body temperatures of the Rattus Norvegicus due to high surface to volume ratio, which decreases
with size and age. This notion supports the conclusions of the previous study where rats that were
reared in the colder temperatures were smaller. It was essential for them to be smaller so that they their
longer hair would have a higher surface to volume ratio. The differences found in the development of
the coat mass relative to body mass as a result of thermal environment suggest that the Rattus
Norvegicus adjust their hair coat insulation at the juvenile age of day 22 to reduce the energetic costs
of thermoregulation in their housing

Frustration s Armored Aroma
Skunk Hour by Robert Lowell and The Armadillo by Elizabeth Bishop are two closely related poems.
Both share the theme of an animal carrying with it natural defenses, and the image of an isolated
spectator. However, there is one important contrast between these poems: The Armadillo portrays a
creature who cannot comprehend the events destroying the life about it, whereas the speaker in Skunk
Hour understands, possibly too well, the events affecting its life.
By using the skunk as a descriptive element for his character, Robert Lowell increases the distance

amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9;Lights turned down,
amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9;they lay together, hull to hull,
amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9;where the graveyard shelves on the town...
amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9;My mind s not right.
amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9;(Lowell 27 30)
Here, the speaker admits his actions are wrong. Later in this paper, the fact that the speaker in Skunk
Hour is lonely will become an important contrast to the character in The Armadillo.
At the end of the poem, Lowell contrasts as well as likens the character to the nocturnal skunk.
amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9;Nobody s here
amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9;only skunks, that search
amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9;in the moonlight for a bite to eat
amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9; amp;#9;(Lowell 36 38)
Like the skunks of the poem, the speaker is a creature of the night. Although he does not search for
food as the skunks do, the speaker may very well be searching for a bite of life.
amp;#9;In The Armadillo by Elizabeth Bishop, the speaker is once again a spectator of sorts, watching
amp;quot;the frail, illegal fire balloons appear amp;quot; (Bishop 33). Again, like the speaker in
Skunk Hour, this character is lonely. In the fifth stanza, the hot air balloons are fading into distance
and the darkness of night. However, the spectator feels forsaken by their departure.

The Effectiveness of ASPCA s Commercial Essay
In 2010 the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) came out with a
commercial that would shock the advertisement industry. The effectiveness of this commercial is
proven, simply by watching the reactions of the commercial s viewers. For those who have never seen
the video it has a very sad and morose tone to it. The commercial begins with showing pictures and
videos of suffering animals with the song Angel playing in the background. While this is going on the
narrator of the commercial (Sarah McLachlen) is softly talking about the suffering and abuse that
these unfortunate animals go through. Through many different rhetorical techniques the viewers are
many times brought to tears after watching this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While those clips are being shown, the song In the Arms of an Angel by Sarah McLachlan is being
played in the background. Slides with different statistics are being shown as well. The song In the
Arms of an Angel is the major aspect of the commercial that really sets the tone. The tone of the song
is depressing and gloomy but grabs the attention of the audience at the same time. The main point of
the commercial is to convince the audience to be an angel , by saving the abused animals dying in the
shelters. The song used is a perfect tool to convince the audience to be an angel and help the animals.
Even though the music is a large part of setting the tone, the clips and pictures are equally as moving.
Showing pictures of abused and suffering animals is a great way to get the audience s attention and
cause them to become sympathetic to the animals. Very few people in the world are unfazed when
they see a video or picture of a helpless and suffering dog or cat. I looked at a lot of the related videos
on YouTube and many of them are reaction videos. The videos show the audience s reaction to the
commercial. In more than 99 percent of the videos that I saw the viewer is in tears at the end. If a
commercial that brings the audience to tears is not a perfect example of pathos then I don t know what
is.
After showing a variety of different clips that represents the pain and suffering that

  • 3. William Glasser’s Choice Theory Essay Dr. William Glasser was a distinguished psychiatrist and author known for his distinctive views about mental illness. Glasser broke away from the traditional model of psychotherapy in the early 1960s to develop his own model of counseling. Dr. Glasser began with the development of therapy before he developed his theoretical stance. Glasser created what is known as Reality Therapy. Glasser first defined Reality Therapy as a therapy that leads all patients toward reality, towards grappling successfully with tangible and intangible aspects of the real world (p.6). In 1967, he founded The Institute for Reality Therapy. In 1969, Glasser published Schools Without Failure. Glasser suggests that children be taught about these needs as well ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He offers choice theory to replace external control and has dedicated the remainder of his life to teaching and supporting this idea. After almost 20 years without a theory, Glasser published Control Theory in 1984. In essence, reality therapy was the art of change, and control theory was the theory of what needed to be changed and why. Howatt (2001). In 1996, Glasser announced that he was going to start referring to what had hitherto been control theory, as choice theory, and in 1998 published Choice Theory: A New Psychology of Personal Freedom. Glasser felt that the term control was misleading and suggestive of coercion. In this book, Glasser greatly expanded the understanding of motivation and behavior. He and then added, Warning: Psychiatry Can Be Hazardous to Your Mental Health (2003), to help people improve their mental health and happiness. In 2005 he produced a booklet, Defining Mental Health as a Public Health Issue to provide a new resource for mental health professionals. Finally, in 2007, Eight Lessons for a Happier Marriage, which he co authored with his wife, Carleen, became his third book to help couples learn important tools for improving their relationship. Dr. Glasser s approach was non traditional. He does not believe in the concept of mental illness unless there is something organically wrong with the brain that can be confirmed by a pathologist. Analysis Of The Movie Rita Ha By Noah Baumbach Chosen Clip: Clip 1 from Frances Ha (2012) Dir Noah Baumbach Directed by Noah Baumbach in 2012, Frances Ha follows young New Yorker Frances Halliday (Greta Gerwig) who, at age 27, is living with her best friend Sophie (Mickey Summer) whilst in an attempt to get her life heading in a succesful direction. The film examines and humanizes the importance of growing up in different cultures, experiencing the highs and lows of a sacred friendship, the realities of early adulthood and making sacrifices in order to get to where you need to be. Omtting colour and using natural lighting helps not only this scene but the entire story to develop as it provokes more concentration from the viewer into this raw dialouge and acting. The classical style of cinematography is used by Levy in shooting Frances Ha. The scene is shot with a steadycam evident through a smooth pan following Dan from the couch to the kitchen. For the majority of the scene, the camera is fixed in one position on Frances and Dan through a mid shot as they are seated on the couch. This shot size is framed around the subjects for a measure of distance (Bordwell and Thompson, 2008). The pair are sitting very close together and the shot further outlines this by being close to the subjects without being labelled as close up shot. It is a tight frame, with a tight fix on the subjects. This communicates to the audience that these two are a couple and they are very comfortable with eachother and have been for a long time. The depth of field and focus range is very slim. This is a result of the distance between the closet and farthest objects in the scene being very small. Baumbach wants to focus soley on the characters in this scene as the position of the frame is extremely neutral. The lens is level with the pair sitting down on the couch with no high or low angles used. For Baumbach, it was not a case of symbolic cinematography, but instead to provide a more a neutral perspective to develop the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Constructivist Classroom In The Classroom Having a constructivist classroom can mean many different things. Being a teacher with a constructivist perspective is a different type of teaching style than people are used to. Constructivism, as I understand it, is a way of teaching that has the students learn through their own methods. They are to try to find their own style of learning a concept, whether it be in their heads or with unifix blocks or by drawing pictures. Everyone learns differently and children need to be given the freedom to explore their learning by themselves. Also, students need to be able to construct their own meanings and insights without teacher instruction. Having a constructivist classroom would mean the teacher not giving as much direction as in a traditional classroom. Teachers with this perspective want their students to be mathematizing their learning (FD Ch 1.4). An example of this concept of mathematizing was when in Madeline s classroom. She wanted her students to understand the concept of counting on instead of starting back at 1 and the idea that numbers are nested inside of each other (FD Ch 1.5). Madeline was having her students count red and green beads to make a necklace of 22. Some of them understood that if you had 19 beads, then you only need 3 more to make 22 while others started back at 1 to count to 22 altogether. • 14. The Maltese Front And The Novel Of The Maltese Falcon The film of the Maltese Falcon and the novel of the Maltese Falcon share some stark differences along with certain similarities that the film and novel hold. John Huston who directed the film of the Maltese Falcon shows Sam Spade a little differently as to how Dashiell Hammett portrays him. Both do share some commonalities between them, yet we see a greater split from novel to film in the final scene of the Maltese Falcon. The film portrays Spade as this stoic, cold hearted detective. Yet, the novel displays Spade as a more dominate grabbing man that needs answers now. The film differs from the novel as we see Spade portrayed in the film as a cold and stoic character as we see him in the novel as a more dominate and persistent character. As we progress through the final scene Sam Spade briskly moves on to alert the authorities about having Cairo and Gutman on the move. The novel shows Sam after putting the receiver down to appear nervous he wet his lips and looked down at his hands. Their palms were wet. He filled his deep chest with air. His eyes we glittering between straightened lids (p. 574). As to the film when we see Spade hang up the phone he briskly approaches Brigid trying to get as much information out of her as he can before the police arrive in the film at 1:28:52. As we see in the novel Hammett wanted to show Spade as being nervous for what is about to happen and for how aggressive he will be in order to get all of the information needed prior to the police arriving. Huston doesn t show any of that, but goes straight into getting all of the information out of Brigid as soon as possible. Leaving a major lack in character for the film Spade as compared to the novel Spade. Next, we follow to see Spade grabs Brigid and says G d damn you, talk! (p. 575) which shows Spade as a dominate and demanding individual. The significance of him grabbing executes this notion of dominance and the meaning of how important this is to Spade. In the film Spade at that moment wasn t as forceful to get this information out of Brigid. Rational conduct, by ancient thinkers was more often identified by what is Good (be that in terms of divine eternal truths, or empirical notions of naturalistic perfection or completion) whereas more modern variant of natural law may identify a rational principle based on other considerations such as not only what is good, but what right, just, fair, reasonable or practical. Mark Murphy credits Thomas Aquinas with the natural law maxim necessarily, law is a rational standard for conduct (i.e. the strong thesis hard necessity). He argues that natural law is often falsely recognized to be synonymous with a Latin maxim commonly associate with Cicero, St. Augustine, or Thomas Aquinas is lex iniusta non est lex , or unjust law is not law . Subscribing to this maxim would be a preposterous and gross interpretation of mainstream Thomist natural law. Although this phrase may provoke reflection upon whether unjust laws ought to be considered valid, or truly law; this is just an oversimplified version of the logical principle of non contradiction and often incorrectly attributed to natural law, in the form of a straw man. There are obviously unjust laws that were spotted throughout present time, country, and history. These laws may undoubtedly be considered as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. Dna Deoxyrimidine DNA is known as deoxyribonucleic acid, which is a hereditary material that all eukaryotic organisms have. DNA is mostly located in the nucleus of cells but can also be found in mitochondria. The information of DNA is stored as a code made up of four chemicals. Two of these chemicals are purines, the other two pyrimidines. The purines are Adenine and Guanine. The pyrimidines are Thymine and Cytosine and the purines pair with the pyrimidines. Specifically Adenine with Thymine, and Guanine with Cytosine. Every strand of deoxyribonucleic acid uses the same bases, just arranged in different orders. DNA strands are in a shape of a double helix, if you were to get a closer look, you would see nucleotides. A nucleotide are the basic unit of structure for DNA. Cloning is typically the action of creating a genetic copy of an organism. Clones can come about naturally, or in a lab. Naturally, bacteria and some plants are able to produce on their own. They do this by pretty much splitting in half and growing from there. They reproduce how our cells do so to speak. Natural cloning can also occur in animals. In animals, clones can occur when a zygote, or embryo splits in half at least once. This creates two identical eggs with the same DNA. According to the National Human Genome Research Institute s section on cloning, there are three different types of artificial cloning. Those types of cloning include gene cloning, therapeutic cloning, and reproductive cloning. Gene cloning is when they take a piece of foreign DNA, or a gene, and insert it into a vector, which ... Amylase Breakdown Of Starch Lab Report Temperature and its effect on Bacillus licheniformis (bacteria) and Aspergillus oryzae (fungal) amylase breakdown of starch Isidro Planell Panther ID: 5164085 General Biology lab 1 U06 Emmanuel Gonzalez Pablo Gonzalez Abstract: The experiment s goal was to study the effects of temperature and the rate of breakdown of starch by fungal and bacterial amylase. In order to conduct this experiment four samples were taken from both specimen and placed in four different temperatures. After a period of time a portion of the sample was taken and added to a portion of starch which was then mixed with iodine. Iodine reacts with starch to produce a change in color in the iodine from a brown to a dark purple. This serves as a method of measuring the breakdown of the starch by the amylase by comparing the color of iodine when mixed with starch and comparing it with the added amylase. It was also noted that because both specimen reacted differently with the temperature change, it was concluded that thy had differing optimal temperatures (Bacillus licheniformis reacting with an optimal temperature of 55 degrees Celsius while Aspergillus oryzae reacted optimally with a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius). In order to conduct the experiment, samples from both specimens were taken and placed in four test tubes all with a different temperature. Iodine was then taken and placed into a spot plate labeled with the type of amylase and corresponding ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It came to the United States and Canada threw immigrants from the British Isles. In reels you will find two downbeats, these are the most important part of the dance and signal the dancer on what to do. It is crucial to understand the beat of the reel before ever attempting to dance it. Traditionally the reel was danced in soft shoes, but it can also be done in hard shoes as well. The most important thing to remember about the Irish reel is the dance figure. In this dance the dancers will start at one point and end at another. This dance usually creating the shape of a circle. The reel also shows origin from folk dancing. The difference being the reel is more of a country folk dance. The reel was more popular in Scotland than Ireland. This was until the 17th century when it disappeared while under the ruling of the Presbyterian churches. • 33. How Does Salt Concentration Affect The Rate Of Osmosis In... In this experiment I am looking at what the effect of various salt concentrations will have on the rate of osmosis in potatoes. Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from a high water potential to a low water potential through a semi permeable membrane. All cells have semi permeable membranes which means that it only allows certain substances in and out of the cell. Many factors effect the rate of osmosis, this includes temperature and the amount of salt added. I think that when the potatoe is placed in a salt concentration where the water potential is greater the potatoe molecules will move from the potatoe to the salt and a decrease in the mass will happen. The more salt there is in the water the fresher the potatoe will stay. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pros and cons around osmosis: The pros around osmosis are the water is outstanding and very clean, it is at a very low cost, the water tastes better therefore you would want water instead of cola and food tastes much better. The Importance Of Teaching In Education Introduction Education is about in parting knowledge based on one s belief, truth and justification with the purpose of surviving in this changing world. Highly educated people are well recognized and given high reputation in the society. Hence, teaching is a process of sharing information between the teacher and students in a positive, caring, changing and stress free environment where new knowledge must be constructed and tested through student teacher interaction using different strategies so that children could master knowledge and skills of desired fields including values, ethics, and other social knowledge. To fulfill this purpose, teachers should be active, forward thinking, energetic, knowledgeable, sincere and punctual for changing one s truth, belief and justification. To satisfy these educational needs, learning should be a fun mechanism for students in which they enjoy by responding, interacting, socializing, inventing, sharing, discovering and deciding about knowledge, skills, values, ethics and discipline by expressing a permanent change in behaviour. As learning is defined as a permanent change in behaviour, it is teacher s interest to consider teaching as a personal challenge in which students are diverted to a more progressive learning environment where they make their own judgment based on what they experience with exposure to real life like activities. The Ways Of Non Point Source Pollution During The Great Lakes The way of Non point source pollution in the Great Lakes Atmospheric precipitation Many contaminants settle out of the atmosphere, such as acid rain, the pollutants and nutrients will transport from distant places by air depositing into the lake as the form of rain. The first pollutants as atmospheric deposition on the Great Lakes were phosphorus. It is found that about 20 percent phosphorus entering Lake Michigan comes from the atmosphere by determination of rain, snow and dust. Since phosphorus pollution generated by this approach cannot be controlled, so it is more urgent to reduce the phosphorus content of detergent, sewer and effluent fertilizers. People found fish in a lake of Lake Superior in a remote island containing PCBs and toxaphene, and this place isolated with no direct way to pollution. This determines the long range transport of pollutants through the atmosphere and settlement in the lake. In fact the processes of material transport through atmospheric was very complex. For instance PCBs was insoluble in water, so as to re enter the atmosphere during evaporation or connected together into small particles. A lot of PCBs volatilize from the lake, meanwhile, PCBs coming from various parts of the air mass experience the sedimentation on the lake. Other than that the contaminated sediment is another way to cause pollution of the lake. This is problems of the most urban industrial areas. They would either have a higher metabolism during cold climates or a low metabolism in a warm climate. The results showed that rats raised in cooler temperatures developed a greater body and coat mass that those of warm reared mats. This significant difference indicates that the environment plays an important role in the hair coat insulation. The heavier hair coat plays a greater role in the maintenance of body temperatures of the Rattus Norvegicus due to high surface to volume ratio, which decreases with size and age. This notion supports the conclusions of the previous study where rats that were reared in the colder temperatures were smaller. It was essential for them to be smaller so that they their longer hair would have a higher surface to volume ratio.
