What is 115,200 baud rate with N-8-1?
The baud rate is the rate at which information is transferred in a communication channel. In the
serial port context, "115200" means that the serial port is capable of transferring a maximum of
115200 bits per second.
None-Parity
8-Data bits
1-Stop bits
Steps:
1) Connect micro-usb cable's micro port to the FILER and other end bigger USB port to the laptop.
2) Go to Device Manager | Serial COM Port section would have got detected by-now | Note the
COM Port number; it could be 4 or 5, in my case it was '5'.
3) Open Putty:

2. Correct way:
After filling up the Baud rate and other bits in the previous screen, come back to Session tab at the
top and make sure ‘serial’ is selected, and then click open.
This should work 100%. Please note, it may take up to 8 minutes on some systems before you see
messages pop-up. Until then you can try pressing enter on the console screen.
