Two types of profit margin:
Gross Profit Margin & Net Profit Margin
Gross Profit
Grossprofitcalculatesthetotalincomefromyour
goodsorservicesminusthecostofthosegoodsor
services(sometimesreferredtoasCOGS).
Revenue from goods/services - Cost of Goods/Services = Gross profit
Theonlyexpensesincludedaredirectly relatedto
thecreationofthosespecificgoodsandservices.
Not included in calculation
Other expenses, such as:

Margin Calculation
Gross profit margin is $2,000 / $10,000 x 100 = 20%
Net Profit / Total Revenue x 100 = Net Profit Margin
