How did you use new media technologies in
- 2. We began by researching into handball on the internet, we researched the history and rules of the game, this informed us about the topic. We also researched the sport on YouTube and Youtube converter and watched different handball games from around the world; this gave us an insight on how the games vary in popularity around the world. By watching these clips it gave us an idea of what clips could be used as archive material in the documentary. We also had a look at interviews on YouTube this gave us greater knowledge on the codes and conventions of interviews and it showed how important the mise- en-scene is in interviews.
- 3. Research into Handball by watching videos of handball. Getting archive material from YouTube videos.
- 4. To plan our work I mostly used Microsoft Word to produce the running order, interview questions and voice over scripts. I also used Microsoft PowerPoint to produce the formal proposal and research. Whilst finding the questionnaire results, they were put onto Microsoft Exel then displayed on a PowerPoint. These tools kept my work organised, neat and easy to read. To contact and organise interviews we used technologies such as texting and email, this helped us document our interview times.

- 6. The three products were all produced on a computer, I felt confident using a computer as I have used them throughout my life. The computer allowed us to edit our products to how we wanted them.
- 7. To create our documentary and radio trailer we used Adobe Audition, I was not very familiar with this programme, however I began to become more confident with the programme the more I used it. The programme allowed us to create our products to a high standard. It allowed us to select the footage that we wanted to use and cut it out as well as edit the footage to suit our needs. I found that Adobe Audition had common links with Adobe Premier Pro by having a lot of the same tools involved such as the โcutโ tool to select certain bits of the audio.

- 9. To create the Print Advert we used Adobe Photoshop, I was already familiar with this programme as I have previously used it. Photoshop allowed me to create the print advert to a good quality standard. Photoshop allowed me to use tools such as โcropโ so I could experiment with my image so it looked how I planned and it also allowed me to edit certain aspects of the image such as a number or word on the kit that made the image confusing. I found that the Adobe software I used had crossovers in programmes; therefore I found it easier to use.

- 11. To film the footage we used a HD Video Camera, DSLR Camera, DV Camera Microphone and a tripod. I had never used a HD Video Camera, however the more I used it; I became more confident using it although the files were easy to upload to Premier. Using the microphone was harder than expected as the volume level has to be exact; however when the volume level was right the microphone was extremely useful in making sure that the interviewees could be heard clearly. I had already used an DSLR camera before so I was familiar with how to use one in taking pictures for the print advert. The HD Video Camera and DSLR Camera allowed us to see the footage and play it back on the camera to double check that the footage was good enough. The tripod was straight forward to use and I had also used one before.

- 13. We presented our work on Blogger.com, I have previously used Blogger.com so I was very familiar with the website. Blogger.com allows the work to be presented as a blog, this is a neat and organised way of presenting my work. I also presented my work on Prezi.com, Slideboom, Powtoon and smore, which I was familiar with these tools as I have previously used them. Prezi.com, Slideboom, and Powtoon allow my work to be presented as a PowerPoint, whereas Smore presents work like a leaflet hand-out.

- 15. Smore.com allowed me to present my work as a list, this also allowed me to add images to my presentation to support my point. I used PowToon to create presentations and present my work in a neat way.
