This document discusses the design elements used in a magazine to attract its target hip-hop audience. It focuses on the masthead, headlines, sell lines, main image, and button. For the masthead, a bold, paint mark font was used to connote the hip-hop genre. Headlines were short and alternated black and red colors to create suspense. Sell lines were also short and dramatic to quickly attract readers. The main image and headline worked together to increase curiosity and appeal. A button advertising concert tickets was used to keep the audience updated. Colors, fonts, models, layout, and dark, blurry locations were chosen to communicate ideas to the target demographic.
