How Computers Will change tomorrow By: Christina Nettles Period 2
Computers will always improve From the very first computer, to now, computers have changed with bigger processors to bigger hard drives, etc. The computers have been more sufficient to us than anything. Millions and billions of people rely on computers from schools to homes, businesses to gamers, we rely on computers.
Future of computers at home Computers will be found in nearly every device in the home. Refrigerators, coffee pots, and even pictures will contain small chips Our connections to the internet will be thousands of times faster than they are today, allowing new possibilities.   The home life of the average American will change as technology makes old tasks easier and opens new possibilities. The way the inside of a home appears will be different. Most rooms will have a monitor or flat panel display present in some fashion. This will allow us access to all appliances and systems in the house, from stereos to refrigerators. These monitors will be built into desks or into walls, with touch screens
(continued) Homes will be completely wired with fiber-optics cables running from appliance to appliance and room to room.  These lines will transfer megabytes of data around the home nearly instantaneously Items such as stereos and lights will be controlled in similar fashions.  Many household items, such as lights, will not have to be controlled, but will be automatically adjusted.   Each person will either carry a card on their person or will be detected by sensors.  The main household computer will then identify that person and access their preferences.  Profiles and appliances will be controlled through displays throughout the home.  We will no longer have to control devices from different places in the house.  These displays will be central to controlling the home environment of the future
Future of computers in businesses Computers will control more things and have more power.  Businesses will utilize this to be more productive.  Computers will take over more jobs. The second change will be in the ability of control.  The machines in a factory will be able to be controlled remotely by computer.  This ability will extend to making repairs and putting upgrades into the machines. The most revolutionary idea for the future of factories is nanotechnology.  Nanotechnology is the concept of assembling things on an atom basis.  Individual atom would be combined to form microscopic objects.
(continued) Strangely, even though more people will begin working out of the home, communication between workers, customers and suppliers will increase.  This will be enabled by the instantaneous video and audio that will be possible.  Customers will be able to easily send complaints and comments to companies
(continued) As far as product promotion, companies will be able to make advertisements much more personal.  Companies will advertise to people specifically interested in products like theirs.  This will be less intrusive and more effective advertising. Another idea is ad supported e-commerce.  This idea is being tested today by companies such as Buy.com.  Depending on its success, ad supported e-commerce will either crash or take over
Future of computers in schools Schools will go through many of the same changes as homes. Computers will allow teachers to do so much more for their classes. Instead of simply lecturing on a topic, a teacher can download material off of the internet, and then show that to students. Teachers will have access to an endless amount of information for their students
(continued) The focus will not be on teachers as much, but will be on the information they can compile from the internet.  The internet will provide videos, articles and even chats that will allow students opportunities that we could never have today. The blackboard of today will be replaced with a giant computer screen in the future.  This screen will be used to display videos and websites, and will double as a writing board.  Each student will have a computer that will allow interaction in class, but will also allow students to take exams and complete exercises - receiving their grades instantly.
families with computers
Households with children who have computers More than three-quarters of households with children ages 6-17 have a computer, and 67% have Internet access.
Schools that use computers 92.3% of children in grades K-12 use a computer at school. 87% of children enrolled in public schools used a computer, compared with 85% enrolled in private schools.
Nanotechnology What is quantum nanocomputers? ,[object Object],Doctors ,[object Object]
It will also help to protect humans against pathogenic bacteria and viruses that keep mutating rendering many remedies ineffective against new restraintsIn General ,[object Object]

  • 6. (continued) Strangely, even though more people will begin working out of the home, communication between workers, customers and suppliers will increase.  This will be enabled by the instantaneous video and audio that will be possible.  Customers will be able to easily send complaints and comments to companies
  • 7. Depending on its success, ad supported e-commerce will either crash or take over
  • 8. Future of computers in schools Schools will go through many of the same changes as homes. Computers will allow teachers to do so much more for their classes. Instead of simply lecturing on a topic, a teacher can download material off of the internet, and then show that to students. Teachers will have access to an endless amount of information for their students
