favor of moral realism? An interpretation of moral relativism is that it is an
understanding that the ethical position of right or wrong is culturally centered and
as a result subjected to a person s individual opinion. Plato however spends a great

argument Plato proposes is that moral relativism is irrational because it has no

The aim of the present study was to investigate which hemisphere is specialised for
the perception of emotion. It was hypothesised that participants will judge
chimeric faces with smile presented in the left visual field as happier more often
than chimeric faces with the smile presented in the right visual field. Twenty six
psychology students were asked to judge chimeric faces with one half being a
smiling expression and the other half with a neutral expression. The images were
presented in their left and right visual field. Over 28 experimental trials the
participants were asked to judge which face they thought looked happier. The
percentage of chimeric faces judged as happier for both left and right visual field
was recorded. The hypothesis was supported: chimeric faces with smile presented in
the left visual field as happier more often than chimeric faces with the smile presented
in the right visual field.

As one of Russia s greatest writers and playwrights of modern times, Anton Chekhov
wrote many plays and short stories during his lifetime. Among his stories, there are
two famous love stories; The Lady and the Dog and The Darling . In The Lady and
the Dog , which was published in 1899, Chekhov tells the story of Dmitri Gurov,
who is a Moscow banker intrigued by the sudden appearance of a young, upper
class lady who, as it turns out, is similarly disappointed with her love life and
husband. In The Darling , which is considered as one of Chekhov s finest novel,
Chekhov talks about Olenka, who is always lonely, insecure, and lacking
wholeness of herself without a man in life. In both stories, Chekhov presents the
actions and decisions of the main characters who meet by chance and fall in love.
He also uses colors to deliver both the changing feelings and spirits of the
protagonists. In The Lady and with the Dog and The Darling , both depicting
foreshadowing and the theme of love are similar, but the structure of plot and the
way of how the women protagonists love a man differ based on the plot and
conclusion.

The focus of this paper is a cross examination of popular literature discussing the
effects of Child Labour laws on the treatment and participation of children in the
workforce during the British Industrial Revolution. Clark Nardinelli, Carolyn Tuttle,
and Jane Humphries are the three central critics whose work will be focused on

This paper will begin with an overview of the incorporation of child labour in
Britain, the conditions in which the children worked, and a summary of the elements
of the Acts of 1833 and 1844 the two laws that are regarded as having made the
greatest impact on participation and treatment of the children. Next, the varying
stances of the aforementioned central critics on the effects of the laws within the
textile industry will be reviewed, followed by a discussion of their effects on the
education system; and to conclude the evaluation of the textile industry, a cross
evaluation of the various critical opinions will then be presented. Finally, the paper
changes focus from the textile industry to the effects of the child labour laws on the
non textile industries.
During the Industrial Revolution, Britain s working landscape made a dramatic shift
from agricultural to factory based mass production of forged resources such as
textiles, iron, and glass. With this change of focus came the necessity for a greater
amount of labour. Employers soon discovered that they could employ a child in the
place of an adult since all workers lacked experience due to the newness of the
technology; the machines were powered by forces other than a man s strength, and

Bioterrorism is a deliberate release of viruses in the enemy s territory to cause
terror in a community and make the people lose faith in their government. People
have been doing this for a long time, people used to just hurl barrels of poisonous
snakes at their enemies and they would also send dead bodies that have died from
diseases and hope that it would spread, but now it is much more advanced.
Scientists fear that enemies will be able to weaponize diseases such as smallpox
and Ebola to use against us and since they usually mutate the diseases they will
likely be even more deadly and more likely to kill more people. I feel that no one,

Prostitution is one of the oldest professions that have widely been practiced around
the world, and the Philippines is no exception to this. With the advent of Spanish
colonists in the late 1500s, Filipina slaves were sold as exotic sex objects or
prostitutes to European brothels. During the early 1940s, many Filipinas in Manila
and surrounding towns served as comfort girls to provide sexual favors to Japanese
soldiers of the Japanese Imperial Army serving in the country and in the Pacific
region. Today, with the emergence of information technology and global travel, the
age old profession has begun to operate on a technological scale, and sex workers,
mostly young girls, have moved not only to the big cities but also online. To be
specific, a new form of prostitutionamong Filipina schoolgirls, called Prosti tuition,
has surfaced recently in the country.
Prosti tuition, as the name suggests, is a term used among student sex workers to
refer to the use of prostitution as a means of earning money to send themselves to
school. Sometimes called survival sex, it is sex work that pays for these students
tuition fees, school supplies, allowance, cellphone load, and the like. Typically, the
peak season for this tuition payment scheme is during enrollment period or right
before final/periodic exams (Santos, 2014).
Compared to traditional prostitution, what is interesting about prosti tuition is that
the personal services providers (PSPs) or walkers mostly rely on smartphones

Many organizations and institutions worldwide use a form of bureaucracy to an
extent. Specifically, educational institutions or schools mimic bureaucracies. Lowood
Institution from Charlotte BrontГ« s Jane Eyre and Hailsham from Kazuo Ishiguro s
Never Let Me Go are prime examples of educational institutions using a bureaucratic
arrangement. Although set in two different centuries, both Lowood and Hailsham
prove that not only have schools been using bureaucratic structures for centuries, but
also that bureaucracyin schools can help to achieve maximum efficiency and exude a
negative demeanor. Elisabetta Gualmini states in that in Weberian bureaucracies
there are careers that require legal training, are on a seniority and hierarchal system,
and people are forced to comply to strict rules (76). Similarly, Meier, Polinard and
Wrinkle state that bureaucracies try to institutionalize its demands on the school
system by establishing rules (591). Regulation on schools depends on basic
bureaucratic rules according to Christian Maroy (72). Meier, Polinard and Wrinkle
continue by saying that schools [design] procedures that permit monitoring, and
[restrict] discretion in the school system. Thus, democracy produces rules and leads
to rigidity. Furthermore, when schools are forced to meet so many demands and
follow so many rules [they] become too bureaucratic to respond to [peoples ]
demands for quality education(591). Lowood and Hailsham are both bureaucracies.
