Home networks allow multiple devices in a home to connect and share resources. There are several wired and wireless options for setting up a home network. Wired options include traditional Ethernet networks which require running cables, phone line networks which use existing phone lines, and powerline networks which transmit data through existing electrical wiring. Wireless options include Home RF networks which use radio waves and Wi-Fi networks which provide greater range than Home RF. Both wireless networks can experience interference from walls and other electronic devices.
