Holi Festival Essay In Hindi
Writing an essay on the topic "Holi Festival" in Hindi can be both challenging and rewarding.
The difficulty lies in capturing the essence of this vibrant and culturally significant celebration
while effectively conveying it in a language that may require a nuanced understanding.
Firstly, researching the historical and cultural aspects of the Holi Festival is essential. It involves
delving into the roots of the festival, understanding its traditional significance, and exploring
how it has evolved over time. This requires careful analysis and synthesis of information from
various sources, including historical texts, cultural studies, and firsthand accounts.
Secondly, the linguistic aspect adds another layer of complexity. Writing in Hindi demands a
certain level of proficiency in the language, encompassing not only grammar and vocabulary but
also an appreciation for the poetic and expressive nature of Hindi. Crafting a well-structured
essay with the right flow and coherence in Hindi can be challenging for those not familiar with
the language.
Furthermore, striking the right balance between providing factual information and infusing the
essay with a personal touch is crucial. The challenge lies in making the essay informative,
engaging, and reflective of the writer's understanding and connection to the festival. This
requires a delicate interplay between objective analysis and subjective expression.
In conclusion, composing an essay on the Holi Festival in Hindi requires a multi-faceted
approach, involving thorough research, linguistic proficiency, and a creative touch. It is a task
that demands not only writing skills but also a deep appreciation for the cultural nuances
embedded in the festival. However, overcoming these challenges can result in a rich and
insightful essay that captures the vibrancy and significance of the Holi Festival.

If there was a quiz on popular logos worldwide and this convenient store s popped
up, more than ninety percent will know exactly what it is. 7 Eleven is an international
chain of convenience stores, operating, licensing and franchising in different
countries. They attract children, students, and business workers because they
benefit every person who needs a quick snack, gas, groceries, or a beverage. The
popularity comes from their variety of pleasing options whether it is food, liquids,
gas, or accessories. The best feature about 7 Eleven is that it is open twenty four

The American Of American Literature
American literature is the literature written or produced in the area of the United
States and its receding colonies. American literature as a whole is the written literary
work, and the new England colonies were the center of early American literature.
American drama attained international status only in the 1920s and 1930s, with the
works of Eugene O Neil, who won four Pulitzer prizes and the Noble prize. During
the Middle of the 20th century, American drama was dominated by the works of
eminent playwright Tennessee Williams and Arthur Miller, as well as by the
maturation of the American music. American literature is a branch of English
literature and independent subject. American society is composed of different races
and ethnicities, as suggested by the name of a title, and information on different
trends, movements, styles and subject themes of American literature. To be a good
American means to understand the simple principles on which our nation was
founded, to observe them in our daily life and fight for them . New bold Morris.

My Spiritual Autobiography Of My Life
Spiritual Autobiography
I often hear people say I knew I was called to preach the gospel or ministry is in my
blood. For many years, even into adulthood, I thought ministry was only about
preaching. I did not understand the depth of ministry until I became intimate with
God. I realize that those who said they were called to preach are only seeking out a
job because true ministry is a lifestyle. My spiritual journey began in early
childhood. However, unlike many others who grew up as pastor kids, the long
boring years I spent in church services deterred me from wanting to go into
ministry. Even into adulthood, I went to church but that is all I wanted to do. I
wanted to go to service, listen to the pastor, give my offering, say amen then go
home and proceed with the rest of my life. In fact, this cycle and my view about
doing ministry continued until my late 20s. As a seminarian looking back on my
childhood, I discovered my family s church habits were the norm for people at that
time. My grandmother did not believe women should to wear pants because they
were things that pertain to a man (Deuteronomy 22:5) and the skirt should always be
a modest length. I could not see it at that time, but, unknowingly, while I was
grumbling and complaining about my clothes and the time we spent in church, the
other believers were instilling biblical values in me that would manifest later in life.

A Research Study On Ikea
1.0. Research Background
In the present 21st century, the pressure of market competition has increased
significantly. Under this environment, customer loyalty is the focus of both
management practice and marketing practice of modern enterprises. It is the key for
enterprises to get trust from customers and retain existing customers with the
capability to deliver added value for customers.
In the current competitive environment, customers have been provided with a wide
range of choices to satisfy their needs and demands at the global level. It means that
customers bargaining power has increased dramatically in the present business
environment. It not only adds pressure on enterprises to develop new customers, but
also increases the difficulty for enterprises to retain existing customers. Therefore, the
development of customer loyalty is often the challenges for enterprises although its
importance has been generally accepted. This research attempts to add implications
for enterprises to develop and maintain customer loyalty.
This research focuses on IKEA China as IKEA has achieved great success in China
market. As an international corporation that come from Sweden, IKEA has
established about 20 stores across China. Its products have been hotly welcome by
Chinese consumers. Based on the assumption that the capability to delivery added
value for customers is the critical success factor of IKEA, this research attempts to
investigate how customer perceived value impacts on
Mass Inarceration In Prison
The United States holds five percent of the world s population; however, the United
States holds roughly twenty five percent of the worlds prison population. Mass
incarceration within the United States has been a severe issue over the years and
mass incarceration is increasing drastically. Mass incarceration is a term used by
sociologist to describe the increasing prison population over the past forty years.
News broadcast may show that certain racial groups are incarcerated more than others
but statistics suggest that certain racial groups are in fact incarcerated more than
others. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, one in every fifteen African
Americanmales eighteen or older is incarcerated, one in every thirty six Hispanic
males is incarcerated, and only one in every 106 white males is incarcerated. In
addition to the social injustice of prisons, the amount of money used towards
incarceration is outrageous and unfortunately, is increasing more frequently than
money spent for U.S education. According to the U.S. Department of Justice (2013),
federal and states governments spend approximately 80 billion dollars annually to
operate prisons and jails for those convicted. However, the U.S. annually spends more
than 80 billion dollars on correctional facilities. Government budgets do not include
the cost for health care benefits for the correctional staff, health care provided to
inmates, and certain pension obligations, totaling up to 13.9% of corrections costs.

Are the Stories from the Holocaust Survivors with PTSD...
This investigation will answer the question To what extent are the stories from the
Holocaust survivors with PTSD reliable as historical sources? This question is
important because there are still holocaust survivors alive today, and their stories are
arguably the ones that teach us he most about the Holocaust, since they are primary
sources of the event. The survivors dealt with a lot of physical and emotional
trauma while in the camps, so it would be easy for them to procure PTSD. The
mental illness PTSD can make it harder for the survivors to talk about certain events,
because it could increase the symptoms of the illness. With this research
investigation, it is possible to analyze whether the stories from the Holocaust

Conveyor belt is quite often used to produce step by step in order to achieve
production efficiency. Secondly, cycle time is the actual time between completions
of successive units for a line process on a production line. For example, LWT
completes 1 shutter in 30 minutes, and thus 30 minutes for a shutter is the cycle time
on the production line. However, cycle time also requires higher level of equipment
and labor to finish the task in order to achieve consistent quality and high efficiency.
1. Customization Make to Stock
Make to stock is one of the manufacturing processes which are used as holding
inventory at the end of the supply chain. In make to stock system, companies are
necessarily able to evaluate demand to decide how much products they should
produce and stock (Rabbani, 2011). As a consequence, make to stock has to be
relied on forecasting. Make to stock (MTS) products involve no any customization.
Generic products are produced in large amount of volumes to justify keeping a
finished goods inventory. Consumers have to buy these products off the shelf from
retail stores. In our scenario, LWT produces batches of 500 50 1000 of shutters as
inventory. Therefore, make to stock which is the least level of customization was
offering by LWT. As knowing LWT is using make to stock system, it has obviously
objective for their products,
Mattel Toy Recall Essay
Executive Summary
Mattel has been criticized heavily for having to recall not once but thrice in 5 weeks
20 million toys manufactured in China with lead paint and/or loose, potentially
dangerous magnets. Clearly Mattel does not have sufficiently tight quality control
procedures in its supply chain to compensate for the extra risks of outsourcing to
Chinese subcontractors and clearly there are design flaws in the toys with the
magnets that could come loose. Although many observers give the company credit
for responding to the crisis quickly with an apology from the CEO and pledges to
institute more rigorous product safety checks, Mattel still faces a number of problems,
including significant costs associated with the recalls and new ... Show more content

The company runs its own factories in China and has successfully managed
dozens of vendors there over the years. Mattel already has an extensive quality
assurance program (GMP) in place long before the bad paint job. That program
involved mandatory quality tests by Mattel s vendors as well as testing of in
process and finished goods by Mattel itself. The Toys delivered were clearly not the
ones ordered and specified by Mattel and somehow toxic materials had found their
way into the production process. To try and increase profits suppliers will often
switch raw materials for something similar and cheaper and have got good at passing
audits and appearing compliant without actually being compliant. In many cases, it is
the supplier s sub contractors and the sub sub contractors where the switch occurs and
the deeper down the supply chain the problem exists, the more difficult it is to spot.
The ultimate responsibility for the product quality rests with the company that owns
the brand9. Contracts between the corporations and the suppliers clearly stipulate the
materials to be used and not to be used. For instance, lead based paint for toys or azo
dyes for garments are forbidden10. The problem it seems is not with the contract but
with the implementation. It is essential for Mattel to enforce stringent quality
controls to catch any vendor who tries to trick them again. At the same time it is also
essential for Mattel to ensure
Counterfeiter Of Grace Analysis

Vermeer did not start his career off in an apprenticeship, learning the ways of one
particular artist and slowly being influenced and inspired over time. He was inspired
by multiple different artists, observing their work and creating his own personal spin
on their pieces in a more realistic tone.
Some of the most influential women in Vermeer s life were his older sister, and his
mother in law. These women were viewed as ambitious and brave, which is theorized
to be Vermeer s initial inspiration to accurately paint women in their natural state. But
he did not start painting women in this light in the beginning of his career due to the

The first stylistic choice that Gowing discusses is within the Elements of his appeal.
He states that Vermeer s work seems to almost stick out like a sore thumb amongst
other 17th century artistic pieces, almost as if his pieces were ahead of their time
and dramatically different from the styles appearing throughout the century. To
Gowing this reason is self evident and doesn t need explaining as to why Vermeer s
work is so phenomenal, but for us we need a little more explanation. There is a
continuous theme present throughout all of his pieces, involving an unchanging
room and an almost unmoving feeling. As if the paintings were frozen in time. They
give a feeling of consistency and perfection almost, Vermeer has managed to make it
feel as if nothing else outside of that image matters. He draws in the attention of his
viewers and then continues to suck them in even more with the immense amount of
details within the pieces. Each object and element in his pieces are placed
intentionally and systematically to tell as story or convey a purpose. A book is much
more than something to pass the time and provide entertainment, it is an emblem that
represents something personal and important to either the model within the image or
something even deeper. Vermeer does this in all of his work. His continuous inclusion

Analysis Of The Garden Of Earthly Delights
Throughout our class I have been shown many astounding works of art that tantalize
the eyes, mind and soul. From the astounding sculptures of Michelangelo the the
complex drawing of Da vinci and countless other artist that changed the world of art,
architecture and design. Though there was one work that we came across in class
recently that made me feel different compared to all the others i ve been shown. It
was beautiful yet disgusting, heavenly yet sinister, and more than anything
compelling. I am referring to a triptychpainting done by H. Bosch entitled Garden of
Earthly Delights .
The picture immediately stood out from the rest somewhat having an uncanny
modern feel to it. The piece is a 3 panel painting, also known as a triptych, The
Garden of Earthly Delights, oil on oak panels, 220 cm Г— 389 cm with each section
showing images of religion, damnation and over all madness. I was instantly
intrigued by what my eyes were taking in and then shortly after learning about how
there is so much mystery and uncertainty to the work only heightened this feeling. I
was hoping that looking the work up on my own time would be able to answer at
least some of my many questions; this was not the case. Solid factual information on
the pieces is extremely limited including the date of completion, the persons who
commissioned it, the purpose for it being commissioned, and most of all the meaning
and message the piece was meant to inflict. The accurate dating of The Garden of

The auditor s liabilities and potential defenses
The auditor that sanctioned the IPO ought to have known that under reinsurance
accounting, losses incurred by ceded business should be recorded by the ceding
insurer as an offset to the increase in its gross loss reserve in a amount equal to the
reinsurance it expects to recover from the insurer yet in Converium s IPO

liabilities to a Zurich entity. Had the auditing firm done its job perfectly it would
have realized that Converium had violated Section 10(b) of the Exchange Act and

the events leading to the IPO. In the process of conducting the audit the auditing firm
should have realized that Converium understated its pre tax losses for the previous
year before the IPO was conducted.
In its defense, the auditing firm could possibly posit that instead of engaging in risk
transfer analysis, it undertook to use the deposit method despite the fact that the latter
lacks the potential accounting benefits of re insurance accounting.

The Human Resource ( Hr ) Department
The Human Resource (HR) department manages the tangible indirect reward to
employees. The Benefits that an employer provides to their employees are ones
needed to provide the motivation to retain their employment and provide a positive
return on investment. With the rising cost of health care, companies are relying on
their HR department to provide benefits that will help in lowering the cost
associated with older workers. Employers have found one benefit that has provided
the greatest return on their investment as it addresses the rising cost of health care,
absenteeism, and turnover rate of employees. This paper will analyze HR s
management of the benefit package and identify the benefit that has provided a
substantial gain for the employee and employer. Employers have software and
computer systems that have life cycles and equipment such as machinery, trucks,
tools, and other accessories that have maintenance schedules. These programs are
used to help prolong and ensure that equipment is functioning and operating properly

provide the same for their employees. Analyzing the Organizational Cost of a Longer

Outline The Concept Of Skepticism
How do we know things for certain? How can I be certain of the things I consider
to be true? The only way we can know things for certain is through doubting the
things we think we know, also known as skepticism. In this paper I will argue that
skepticism is the best way to know things for certain because it acknowledges the
presence of cognitive dissonance, self justification and the things we can learn by
questioning. I will proceed as follows: I will outline the concepts of skepticism,
according to Carol Tavris and Elliot Aronson, and the concepts of rationalism,
according to RenГ© Descartes. Then, I will compare rationalism and skepticism by
explaining how challenging the ways we think we know stuff and cognitive
dissonance can affect how we perceive things through skepticism and describing
Descartes many principles based off of reason and how he uses these reasons to
slowly affirm the things we must know for certain through rationalism.
Epistemology is the study of how we attain knowledge or why we believe stuff in
the way we do. There are many branches in epistemology to explain how we learn
and comprehend things, but also how we can know things for certain. Skepticism, a
concept within epistemology, is a way we know the things we do with certainty. By
using doubt and questioning how we perceive things, we can examine the validity of
the knowledge and ideas that people seem sure of or believe must be true. By
assessing things skeptically, it allows us to comprehend that
Flannery O connor
In the mid 1900 s, America experienced many changes, from society and politics to
religion and literature. Countries were facing the aftermath of World War II, and
authors of the time reflected on how the world was dealing with the changes.
Flannery O Connor, a prominent Catholic writer from the South, was one of the
many who examined society and shared their philosophies. O Connor shocked her
twentieth century readers with the haunting style and piercing questions in her short
stories and novels, which were centered on a combination of her life experiences, her
deep Catholic faith, and the literature of the time.

For example, O Connor s short story A Good Man is Hard to Find demonstrates this
transformation of grace through the character of the grandmother. A typical family
vacation turns for the worse and leads to the brutal murders of the family members
by the Misfit, an escaped convict. Even as the Grandmother hears the shots, she
pleads only for her own life with no concern for the others. In her last moments,
though, she is consumed with the redemption of grace in extremity and reaches out
to the Misfit, recognizing him as one of her children. This act of love also disturbs
the Misfit, who no longer recognizes murder as pleasure after seeing the grandmother
lying peacefully, but now exemplifies the emptiness found in rejecting grace ( Is
Flannery O Connor a Catholic Writer? ). The common themes in O Connor s work
highlight the sinful and prideful human condition and the desperate need of salvation.
In addition to her Catholic lifestyle, the contemporary style of writing affected O
Connor s short stories and novels. The contemporary movement took place in the mid
1900 s, progressing into American literature after World War II. Contemporary
literature is an extension of postmodern literature, for both styles deal with important
issues and events of the modern day time period. Common themes include irony,
vanity, pride, mutual deception, intruders, and feelings of dissolved isolationism.

Porter s Five Forces Model
ANSWER
Porter s five forces model describes 5 components. Buyer power, supplier power,
threat of substitute products or services, threat of new entrants and rivalry among
existing competitors. Using this scenario, I will explain every of these components.
Is clear that AT T is one of the few suppliers of telephony, given to them high supplier
power. This condition gives them the ability, among others, to charging higher prices,
limiting quality or services, and more importantly in this scenario, shifting cost to
industry participants, meaning that is more profitable for them bring the accounts in
house, and this is possible given the high supplier power. The buyer power, on the
other hand, is low, customers doesn t have the power to force company down prices.
In this case with AT T taking control of their selling could down prices for the
customers removing any chance of increment buyer power. The threat of substitute
products or services and the threat of new entrants in this case was managed by AT T,
first, eliminating three party contractors and given the possibility directly AT T to
know and lure customers in order to increase not only their competitive advantage,
but also, their competitive intelligence. Having direct communication with their
customers enables AT T to develop new strategies, products and services and avoid
new entrants in their business. Also given the rivalry among existing competitors in
this industry, AT T found the possibility to interact with
The Impact Of Divorce On The Family
The words from the Bible, therefore, what God has joined together, let no man
separate have been habitually used during weddings throughout history. Stepping into
the 21st century, those words have not been faithfully lived up to, evident through the
numerous counts of divorces in society. Divorce can be defined as the legal
dissolution of a marriageby a court order and in this generation, is seen as the norm.
Apart from race, other major predictors of divorce include age at marriage,
education, premarital births and religion. (Bartolic, Martin, White, 2013). Divorce
often tends to be thought of in a monolithic way, as if everyone who gets a divorce
goes through the same process. The impact of divorce on the well being of children
have been notoriously viewed with a negative lens for many years due to possible
risk factors that may affect children and their upbringing as they navigate through life
as their parents separate. However, families have the ability to strengthen and bounce
back even stronger with more knowledge through these experiences. This paper
thoroughly discusses the impacts of divorce and its effects on familystructure and the
ways in which families can collectively work together to overcome crises and be
resilient. This includes the many protective factors that help families overcome their
challenges and adversities such as positive social interactions, personal protective
factors, and belief systems in which all of these aspects encompass effective

Simon had nominated himself a few years before as Binet s research assistant and
worked with him on the intelligence tests that Binet is known for, which share
Simon s name as well. In 1905, a new test for measuring intelligence was introduced
and simply called the Binet Simon scale. In 1908, they revised the scale, dropping,
modifying, and adding tests and also arranging them according to age levels from
three to thirteen.
In 1904 a French professional group for child psychology, La SociГ©tГ© Libre pour
l Etude Psychologique de l Enfant, was called upon by the French government to
appoint a commission on the education of retarded children. The commission was
asked to create a mechanism for identifying students in need of alternative education.
Binet, being an active member of this group, found the impetus for the development
of his mental scale.
Binet and Simon, in creating what historically is known as the Binet Simon Scale,
comprised a variety of tasks they thought were representative of typical children s
abilities at various ages. This task selection process was based on their many years
of observing children in natural settings. They then tested their measurement on a
sample of fifty children, ten children per five age groups. The children selected for
their study were identified by their school teachers as being average for their age.
The purpose of this scale of normal functioning, which would later be revised twice
using more stringent standards, was to compare
The Formative Elements Of Classical Scholarship
ROMANTICISM, WEIMAR CLASSICISM, STURM UND DRANG In this
chapter, I consider the formative elements of classical scholarship; in particular,
how scholarship developed through this time period from something to be studied
by elite amateurs to something formalised. What I examine specifically is how the
themes of elitism, mysticism, projection, and language were the defining paradigms
of thought for Romantics. In later chapters, these recurring themes will show
themselves time and time again in scholarship, ultimately showing that Freud s
psychoanalysis was an evolution of existing ideology, not a revolutionary idea.
Thus in order to understand how psychoanalysis became seen as a viable tool with
which to approach mythology one must examine the roots of western classical
scholarship. During the Romantic era intellectual authority lay with the poets,
novelists, and playwrights. To understand how the scholarly community came to
be so receptive to Freud it is key to examine how these paradigms affected the
respected views of myth and history given by amateur historians and fop poets
alike in the Romantic era. ELITISM The Romantic Movement was really only open
to the privileged and wealthy. Schiller s early Romantic plays had many of the
hallmarks of Romantic literature historical figures such as Joan of Arc and Mary
Queen of Scots were lauded and personal freedom and broadly anarchist views were
positively expressed . However, the inherent classism in such Romantic
Modern Hero vs. Anglo Saxon Hero Essay
Today s modern day hero has similarities and differences than the Anglo Saxon hero.
The two heroes each have different values they believe in. Also, they are motivated
to fight for different reasons. An Anglo Saxon hero also fights differently than a
modern day hero. An example of this comparison is Bono from the band U2 and
Beowulf. Both modern day heroes, like Bono and Anglo Saxon heroes, like Beowulf,
try to improve their societies, but do it in different ways and for different reasons.
Anglo Saxon heroes have only a few things in common with modern day heroes. One
of the things is that they both want to improve the society that they come from. That

He raised his arms and seized her by the shoulder (Raffel 509 510). Beowulf and
Anglo Saxon heroes fight their battles with their fists. On the other hand, modern
hero fights with their minds. In 1992 Bono took part in a campaign organized by
Greenpeace against radioactive pollution (The City Council of Turin, no page). Bono
has organized and created many foundations that help and save people all over the
world.
Another Difference these two types of heroes have is why they fight their battles.
I sold my life for this treasure and I sold it well (Raffel 820 821). The Anglo Saxon
heroic code states that Anglo Saxon heroes are seeking fortune. Beowulf makes
many references in the poem of how he seeks wealth. Modern day heroes are the
complete of this. All of Bono s foundations are non profit and the money they raise
goes right to various charities. In modern day society it is considered greedy for a
celebrity to seek money. On the other hand, it is perfectly normal and accepted for an
Anglo Saxon hero to seek wealth.
It was respected and not uncommon for an Anglo Saxon hero to boast. This is a
major difference between Anglo Saxon heroes and modern day heroes. Bono has not
once bragged about all of the good things he has done, or the money he makes.
Meanwhile, through out the whole poem Beowulf is bragging about his strengths,
riches, and ancestors. All modern day heroes would not be considered heroes
How Did Early Labor History Influence The Writings Of

Karl Marx may arguably be the founding father of labor history. If not, his ideas of
class struggle and capitalism have certainly influenced many historians, not only labor
historians, but social, environmental and cultural historians. Historians like E.P.
Thompson and Christopher Hill were so influences that they were members of the
Communist Party preceding the second World War. Other more contemporary
American historians like Thomas G. Andrews are more overt in their appreciation
and use of Marxist ideas, nevertheless, still implemented. Early labor histories like
those offered by E.P. Thompson have numerous parallels compared to more
contemporary interpretations similar to those presented by Thomas G. Andrews.

Andrews effectively then back tracks as this event and the sentiment of
dissatisfaction of the status quo was not isolated, but had roots in the 1880 s. The
idea of class consciousness is definitive in The Making of the English Working
Class, E.P. Thompson devotes a whole chapter to its discussion. Though the two
monographs occur in different time periods and focus on different events, it is not
anachronistic to consider that both groups had a form of class consciousness.
Thompson s definition of class consciousness is the awareness of continuing, both
old and new battles of their own. Some historians argue that class consciousness is
not innately American. However, Andrews makes a good case that these coal
miners were very much aware of their place in society. While Thompson argues
that the English working class was self made, he also argued that labor shaped
class. Andrews premise is that natural resources shaped class. In Killing for Coal,
the sense of class consciousness was effected positively and negatively to the fact
that the group was so ethnically diverse, compared to Thompson s analysis of the

Employer 401 Case Study
We often ask the question, How does our 401(k) plan stack up? When you are an
employee, you will consider items such as the investment choices, administration
fees, or loan terms. However, if you are an owner, the most important thing to think
about may be how to contribute the highest amount you can under Section 415. For
2016, the defined contribution plan annual addition limit without catch up is
$53,000, and will rise to $54,000 next year.
The Internal Revenue Code (IRC) subjects qualified employer plans to compliance
testing. Employer 401(k) plans must pass the actual deferral percentage (ADP) test,
and if there are employer match contributions, the actual contribution percentage
(ACP) test. However, safe harbor plans are not subject to discrimination testing if the
plan sponsor contributes a pre approved safe harbor employer contribution.
Safe harbor plans guarantee that the Highly Compensated Employees (HCEs) will be
able to contribute the maximum deferral amount of $18,000, but not necessarily the
maximum annual addition under Code Section 415. In those cases, the triple stack
match formula may be the solution, as follows:
Stack One: 100% of the first 3% of deferrals, plus 50% on the next 2% of deferrals.
That means that if an employee defers 5%, they will receive the maximum 4% of
compensation match on the first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition to the requirements discussed above, it is important to remember that
none of the stacked matches can require a 1,000 hour of work or employment at
year end. Stack One also cannot be subject to vesting, as it must be fully vested to
qualify as safe harbor. Provisions for the triple stack match must be in place before
the start of the plan year in which they are

Big Illusions Bring Big Endings
Act three of Edward Albee s Who s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is called the
Exorcism, however it would be better suited as a title for the play as a whole. As
there are two couples both hiding behind illusions, the goal of the play is to rid them
of those lies. Honey and Nick, the young guests have a facade to cover up their
marital problems. George and Martha have a lie that is not meant to be seen by
anyone. In both cases, the play is set to stop at nothing to take down everything,
leaving them with nothing but the truth to deal with.
The illusion made by Nick and Honey is very public. Meaning, their facade is made

truth of the matter comes out when Honey confesses to George after her drunken nap

her distaste for motherhood. However he never does get the chance to reveal the truth
to her husband. Nick, who sits, listening to Martha s story about her son, still has no
idea because Honey cries out that she wants a child, and he takes it as common
behaviour. Honey, even in a very drunk state, and barely audible knows that she
needs to keep up with her lie and doesn t let her confession to George get in the way
of that.
Nick, on the other side of Honey s illusion, has a lie of his own. The reason he
married her was not the intense love and passion they had, since they never really
did feel that. It was because he had thought that he had gotten his childhood
sweetheart pregnant. Surely to Honey s pleasure it was a false alarm. However there
was a plus, Nick was not a fool to marry her, as she comes from money. His father in

For example, it is among the most industrialised nations of today which leads the
world in the Information and

the agricultural sector where in 1991 it equated to 30% of all GDP (Rudolph, 1987,
Table

population dwell in either small rural villages or farms (World Hunger and Poverty
Facts, 2013). India has therefore managed to combine its impressive economic
achievements, which can match that of the developed world, whilst continually
facing humanitarian issues present in developing nations. This conclusion suggests
that economic development does not necessarily have a correlation with human
development. Until recently, a common view of development referred to rising
income levels and overall economic growth of a country. However, in recent years a
shift towards focusing upon humanity issues and circumstances rather than monetary
concerns reflects the new definition of a nation s development, which can be
measured by the Human Development Indicator (HDI) produced by the United Nation
Development Programme in 1990. Discussions on the goals of development now
involve emphasizing the reduction of poverty, rather than raising the average levels
of income per capita (Anand Ravallion, 1993, p. 133).
The Impact Of Organizational Activity On The
Performance...
The preeminent feature of organizational activity is its programmed character:
behavior is an enactment of (more or less) pre established routines: At any given
time, a government consists of existing organizations, each with a fix set of
standard operating procedures and programs. The behavior of these organization
and consequently of the government is therefore, determine primarily by routines
established in these organizations prior to that instance . (Allison 1971: 81) The
more standardized these procedures are, the less discretionary is to carry them out.
The downside is that responses may become less appropriate to surprising and non
expected events. The 27F crisis is a suitable case to analyze the performance of a
large scale organization like the State and its patterns of response to external
problems. Allison s model establishes that to perform complex routines, the behavior
of a large number of individuals must be coordinated and that such coordination
requires standard operating procedures: rules that determine what/how things are
done. I will add that SORs never self generated but depends on leaders that decided
which organizations, what programs and where to proceed. Hence, reliable
performance of action that depends upon the behavior of hundreds of persons
requires well established programs (Allison, 1971). In this case, there was a protocol
in place that clearly indicated those responsible for gathering, analyzing and
communicating the information.

Suicide rate is a grow problem in the United States according to the American
foundation for suicide prevention more than 41,149 suicides were reported in 2013.
The highest rate of suicides is committed by adults between age 45 64 and this is

loneness and depression and because of this they are committing suicideat a higher
rate. Suicide amongst the men is steadily higher than women, in 2013, 77.9% were

their attempt is more lethal, for example, men are more than likely to shot

Fifty Shades Of Grey Themes
Fifty Shades of Grey is an elaborate film that ties love and romance with bondage and
discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism (BDSM) (Leistner
Mark, 2016). This movie has a push/pull romantic relationship with an university
senior Anastasia (Ana) Steele and a muiti millionaire Christian Grey. Ana and
Christian are instantly attracted to each other however, their relationship throughout
the movie tends to be strictly sexually based. Ana is a hopeless romantic and
Christian is a sadistic lover, which causes Christian to become apprehensive about
Ana and send Ana on a course that ultimately causes her to try everything in her

This is depicted throughout the entire film, from the first time the main characters
have sex all way to the end of the film. In addition, the role that each gender plays in
the movie is another theme that was portrayed in the film. BDSM within the film is
expressed as pleasurable and something that everyone will enjoy. With all the whips,
toys and ties that are mentioned or said within in the film it sounds amusing for
anyone. In addition, the contract (De Luca Johnson, 201) that is a fundamental base
line for Christian to be involved with Ana is poorly portrayed. Within the movie it is
seen not as a consent between both the dominant and submissive, however it is a rule
that is turned into a living, breathing, and at times uncomfortable interpersonal
experiences (Laurie Kean, 2015). In reality, this consent is something that both the
dominant and submissive agree to that will and will not happen when being involved
in BDSM not something that will alter one s life. BDSM is based on trust and
communication between the dominant and the submissive, which was lacked in the
film. Ana agreed to situations that she didn t know she was putting herself in, for
example punishment that Ana was going to receive because she was out of line (De
Luca Johnson, 2015). Here in the movie it was shown as whipping using a leather
belt on the butt, the tears and faces that she was making whilst it was happening
showed that it was not pleasurable. Here once again, BDSM was not presented
correctly. Research suggests that an important factor in maintaining sexual
satisfaction and relationship satisfaction is being able to communicate effectively
(Leistner, Mark, 2016), this is why at the end of the film, Ana ended the relationship
because communication was not there and she felt hurt and betrayed rather than

Biogas is a clean environment friendly fuel. Raw biogas contains about 55 65%
methane (CH4), 30 45% carbon dioxide (CO2), traces of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and
fractions of water vapours.

Water is also undesirable in biogas stream to the engines since it is responsible for
the corrosion effects. It also reacts with carbon dioxide to form carbonic acid which
is corrosive. Hence water too along with hydrogen sulphide must be removed during

Siloxanes are silica compounds which are derive from the anaerobic digestion of
materials such as household waste and municipal wastewater. Siloxanes presence in
biogas is extremely undesirable, since they react with oxygen at high temperatures

bacteria works best in the temperature between 29В°C to 41В°C or between 49В°C
to 60В°C and pressure of about 1.1 to 1.2 bars absolute. The temperature between
32В°C 35В°C are most efficient for stable and continuous production of methane.
Biogas produced outside this range will have a higher percentage of carbon dioxide
and other gases. The production of biogas is fastest during summer and it decreases at
lower temperature during winter. At 20В°C the rate
Eliot s The Waste Land
Word War I: a gruesome war with a devastating and traumatizing impact on its
citizens. After Europe had just emerged the war, many individuals believed that the
world had become inhumane and chaotic. As a result, critics have argued that T.S.
Eliot s The Waste Land was written to seek order in a disturbed world. Eliot s
publication caused a significant impact on modern society and the literary world.
Initially, the poem seems to be incoherent and fragmented; after readers have
observed his poem, they are able to recognize Eliot s brilliantly unique and
nontraditional use of techniques. His unconventional style, graphic imagery, and
sheer inconsistency of the poem has greatly mystified and fascinated readers. While
Eliot was writing The Waste Land, he was enduring times of personal difficulty,
which was distinctively expressed in his poem. Thus, his work became a well
known piece that expressed the mood of a postwar society, disillusioned by the loss
of principles. Eliot decided to transform his poem, not only to demonstrate despair
and misery, but to also seek the means to escape it. Consequently, T.S. Eliot s use of
unconventional language and style allows his audience to get a glimpse of an attempt
to represent the subject of human soul searching for redemption.
T. S. Eliot s poem is a long and complex masterpiece that investigates the
psychological, emotional and cultural disaster that was associated to the severely
traumatic after effects of World War I. The title

An angel is a pure spirit created by God. The Old Testament theology included the
belief in angels: the name applied to certain spiritual beings or intelligences of
heavenly residence, employed by God as the ministers of His will.

Other principal reservoir candidates are deltaic sandstones of the Ceduna and
Platypus formations, where porosities of up to 30% have been encountered. Locally,
marine sandstones of the Tiger Supersequence (Wigunda and Potoroo formations)
also have excellent reservoir quality. Away from regional highs, prodelta mudstone
of the Wigunda Formation provides an effective seal for these highly porous
intervals. Of secondary interest are fluviolacustrine lithologies intersected within the
Loongana and lower Borda formations. Although of highly variable reservoir quality,
these intervals have poor to moderate overall porosity, mainly due to the high depth
of burial. Shales of the Madura and Toondi formations and intraformational shale of
the Loongana Formation can provide adequate seal for these potential reservoirs.
Major cap rocks exist in the Borda and Neptune formations. Excellent quality
reservoir rocks have been encountered in the overlying Eucla Basin, within the
marine Wobbegong Supersequence (Pidinga Formation and Hampton Sandstone).

The thing that makes every problem, worry, and doubt go away. My thing is

Soccer has been a major part of my life ever since I was born. From attending my

has taken over my life. To be a successful soccer player, you need an abundance of
different qualities or skills. Good footwork, passing, and shooting are all major
components when it comes to the technical side of the game. However, soccer is a

and competitive. At the age of two, physicality can be a scary thing for a little girl.
Although I can t recall it myself, my parents always bring up the meltdown that I

that it was just a part of the game. It is still a running joke that I haven t been the same
The Renaissance Of The European Renaissance
During the European renaissance, humanist philosophers started to take a new
approach on education though reconnecting with ancient European civilization. They
stressed a change from irrational, traditional thought, to good logical arguments,
studying from religious texts and Aristotle (medieval scholasticism). This new
education, however, was to be for a purpose. They were to not only be
contemplators, but also public men , or being in service to the public. So, they
spread their ideas to the people by using the printing press, and within only a couple
of days their thoughts were spread throughout Europe. They were often punished by
the Catholic Church, which brought about famous works like The Prince, by

explains, ...for it is not the bark that makes the tree, but its insensitive and
unresponsive nature; nor the hide which makes the beast of burden, but its brute
and sensual soul; nor the orbicular form which makes the heavens, but their
harmonious order. (Pico, 13) Here he uses several different examples to put his
point across. A tree is not a tree because of its bark, a beast is not a beast because of
its hide, and the heavens are not the heavens because of their shape. They are
themselves because of what they do. It is a tree because it is unresponsive and
insensitive, it is a beast because it is brute and sensual, and the heavens are the
heavens because they are harmonious in order. Pico then connects this to human
nature by saying, If you see a man dedicated to his stomach, crawling on the ground,
you see a plant and not a man; or

The movement of millions of passengers over distances thought impossible decades

commercial aircraft for profit and the development of aeronautical systems, is also an
important symbol of national prestige and a powerful economic force. Safety in air

Simply stated, the Board s mission is to prevent accidents and save lives in
transportation. And although the NTSB s mission is primarily a proactive one the
prevention of transportation accidents the agency accomplishes this mission by being
reactive in responding to catastrophic events. In reality, the Board uses the lessons
learned from real world accidents as catalysts to prevent future occurrences. The
NTSB aims to improve quality through the analysis of failure.
Board Membership
The Board consists of five Members appointed by the President with the consent of
the Senate ( Code of Federal Regulations Part 800 ). This allows the agency much
more latitude when investigating accidents and making recommendations. With the
absence of a separate agency to report to, such as the FAA or DOT, the board can
exercise its full discretion without fear of retribution. The NTSB currently employs a
workforce of 402, including office clerks, investigators, engineers, specialists and
writers, making it the smallest federal agency within the United States government

perpetually bullied. When he was around the playgrounds and in school, for some
reason we d always pick on him and make fun, and I never knew why him. I never
knew what made him different than the other kids but sometime during the
developing stages of our socializing, he was chosen as an outcast. Who chose him

Gerard to come out so we could mentally abuse him and occasionally physically. He
was so desperate for peer interaction that he d come running down in hopes that
today will be the day that we d actually treat him slightly like a friend, but that
never was to be. How deplorable were we to treat someone like this and how is it
possible that some of us didn t know it was cruel? There was another kid that shared

Introduction When the stock market goes up one day, and then goes down for the
next five, then up again, and then down again, that s what you call market volatility.
Historically, the volatility of the stock market is roughly 20% a year and 5.8% a
month, but volatility keeps on changing, so we go through periods of high volatility
and low volatility. Analysts and experts have different opinions about what you
should do in volatile markets, and how to scope with stock market volatility or the
tendency for share prices rising and falling. Analysts. Justin Stewart, co founder of
Seven Investment Management says: Crashes happen. If you are a longer term
investor, you should look straight through them and remember the power of

Willa Cather The Outlaw Hero
A Living Example of an Outlawed Hero
Nowadays there are numerous parents that design their children s lives and take
vital decisions for them. In Paul s case: A Study in Temperament Willa Cather, the
author, shows the reality of youthful dissatisfactions and the common failure of
families to understand the needs of their children. Paul s character is very
controversial. He is seen by some as a hero because of his ethical goal, while
others think that he is a villain who committed several crimes. In my opinion, he is
more of an outlaw hero , which is a person who takes the wrong actions for the sake
of an ethical purpose. Willa Cather s Paul s case: A Study in Temperament is a story
about a 16 year old named Paul, who is motherless (91). ... Show more content on

The main improper action that he did to achieve his goal, was stealing money
from the bank to enjoy his first few days in New York. It is considered to be
unethical, because he took the easy way to get money rather than working for
more hours to save money for his journey in New York. The lack of parental
advice, which is shown in the absence of his mother and brutality of his father, is
the main reason for his immorality. Paul never felt any love or caring from his
father; he just knew that his father wanted him to live an ordinary life like his
neighbors. He happened to be the young man who daily held up to Paul as a model,
and after whom it was his father s dearest hope that he would pattern (Cather 97).He

Public sector organisations have also come to realise that looking after their
customers and taking the opportunity to learn from them enables delivery of services
that are both effective and efficient. Public organisations need to listen to their
customers on social media platforms, through verbal conversations and other
communication platforms. They must act on the findings and ensure that processes
are put in place to improve workforce management and training. Public organisations
could learn from examples and best practices in the private sector.| Third sector

is communicating information with donors and volunteers in order to thank them for
their efforts and donations. It is important that all communication is timely,
informative and provided in the way the individuals has requested. With this in mind
some charities implement customer service procedures to ensure they are constantly
in contact with donors by providing them with one to one communication with a
charity worker. The majority of charities offer donors and volunteers options
regarding communication and interaction, for example, telephone, e mail, post,

Similarities Between The Puritans And The American
Dream
Ve
The Puritans showed a strong belief in their religion through basing all of their
decisions on what they thought would please God. The freedom to practice their
religion how they wanted to, without prosecution, was what motivated the Puritans to
leave their homeland. This led to freedom of religion being the foundation of the
American Dream.
The Puritans belief in divine retribution and divine providence was how their faith
guided them. They used God to justify everyday occurrences and asked for God s
help when facing hardships. If something unfortunate happened, they interpreted it as
divine retribution, for example, when the rude sailor was the first to die and be
thrown overboard. If something good happened, such as when they found the Native
s stash of corn, they saw it as divine providence.
The struggles faced by the Puritans and the struggles faced by modern day
immigrants are similar in the sense that many immigrants today are fleeing their
country to be able to practice their religion freely, or to escape oppressive
governments, just as the Puritans did. However, their hardships differ in that many
modern day immigrants have come to America and still face discrimination for their

You could almost say that they were obsessed with God. They constantly talked
about and thanked god for nearly everything. The Puritans came to America for one
thing: religious freedom. And it helped a lot with pursuing the American dream
because it showed that they actually do have the power to have their own dream.
Since God was on there minds a lot, whenever something would happen, they
constantly looked to God for guidance and whatever the outcome, they believed it
was God basically saying it was meant to happen. For example, there was a man on
the boat who got very sick but instead of feeling bad, the puritans took it as a sign
from God that this was meant to
Hamlet Film Adaption Vs. Play Comparison
Hamlet Film Adaption vs. Play Comparison
Shakespeare s Hamlet has countlessly been formatted into film depictions of the
play. Each film seemed to be on one end of the spectrum of either being closely
interpreted or completely remodeled a different idea of what Hamlet is. The film
version of Hamlet released in 2000 seems to follow closely to the play in some
aspects, yet at the same time having its own unique identity Despite there being many
differences with the play Hamlet and the film adaptation of Hamlet (2000) by Michael
Almereyda there are three categories that really stand out, those are the character
portrayal, interrelationship between the characters, and some of the essential themes
differ as well. Although there are many differences, one aspect that remains the same
is the dialogue of the characters which stays true to the Shakespearean dialect.
When transforming any type of literary work into film there are certain areas that
have to be manipulated in order to fit into the mold of a film. The play Hamlet, by
Shakespeare, is no exception. As Hamlet is Shakespeare s longest play, made up of
more than 4,000 lines, there is no other choice than to have it cut down to fit into the
standard parameters of a film. Along with the play being subject to being cut down,
certain liberties are given to a director to adapt the work in a way to make it more
unique. Almereyda made Hamlet much more modern in relation to scenery and
character representations. Many of the

total amount of the violating SNAP transactions was $1,553.79. The Department is
seeking recoupment of this amount and requesting that a twelve (12) month

out a specific transaction made on May 7, 2013. At 11:18:56 a transaction was
made at 1937 Snyder Avenue at a vendor named Rosa s Market. The OIG
Representative testified that Jennies Market is a four (4) minute walk from Rosa s
Market. At 11:26, on the same day, the Individual made a transaction at Jennie s
Market in the amount of $100.61. This means the items totaling $100.61 would need

Essay on Religion, Politics, and Diplomacy
Those who say religion has nothing to do with politics do not know what religion is
(Mahatma Gandhi). Though many politicians of the day say that government should
be in a separate category than religion, it still plays an important role. Religion may
not be big in countries like America, but it weighs heavily on many other countries
all around the world. That is why when doing anything, a business deal, or a
diplomatic trip, there needs to be cautionary measures taken. Two authors go over the
subject of one countryunderstanding another: Journalist Thomas Friedman in his text
The Dell Theory of Conflict Prevention , and former Secretary of State Madeline
Albright in her text Faith and Diplomacy . In both texts the authors stem off... Show

Albright really wants peace, and as a former Secretary of State she has not seen
much. She talks a lot about religion and how it can be good and bad. People fight
wars because of religion; they also die because of it too.
There can be a level of not understanding a different country s habits and niches.
Albright believes a goal should be set by the government, In the future, no
American ambassador should be assigned to a country where religious feelings are
strong unless he or she has a deep understanding of the faiths commonly practiced
there (29). Take this idea of Albright s and expand it to not only diplomats, but the
traveling business man as well. There are many a time when a business man does
not know the culture and religious background of a country, does something silly
during a business meeting, and offends everyone. Let s say if the business man
goes to Japan, if they don t follow these rules: No excessive eye contact, never ever
be late for an appointment, avoid wearing lots of jewelry and bright colors, and
others as well, the Japanese business man will get very upset, and that could make
everything bad. If someone does these bad things with the wrong people, like a
dignitary, it could mean war. Examining the tension between China and Taiwan,
Hundreds of big American tech companies now have R D operations in China; a war
that disrupted them could lead not only to the companies moving their plants
elsewhere...
Compare And Contrast The Form Of Government
Introduction: To compare the above forms of government, it will help to have some
brief, dictionary definitions. After that, I will show the relationship between these
forms, as they apply to Ancient Greek city states.
Monarchy: supreme power or sovereignty held by a single person ( Monarchy , n.d.) .
Aristocracy: a government or state ruled by an aristocracy, elite, or privileged upper
class ( Aristocracy , n.d.) .
Tyranny: the government or rule of a tyrant or absolute ruler ( Tyranny , n.d.) .
Oligarchy: a form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in
a dominant class or clique; government by the few ( Oligarchy , n.d.) .
Democracy: government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme
power is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, the poor, women, and slaves made up the vast majority of Ancient
Greece ( Can the population of Sparta and Athens be calculated? , n.d.). We can
therefore say that the vast majority of the ruled had far worse lives than the rulers.
And yet the democratic reforms instituted by Solon and later by Cleisthenes only
peeled away rights for the middle classes and male citizens. As I mentioned in last
week s assignment, I think this has largely to do with the ability of the middle classes
to organize a sufficient demand against the rulers, and that Power concedes nothing
without a demand (Douglass, 1857).
To speak to this week s question then, I think it can be said that Ancient Greece was
fundamentally an aristocracy, which is in essence an oligarchy. That would be the
case with both Athens and Sparta. Both of these city states were ruled by a small
minority of their overall populations (oligarchy), and those rulers obtained power
primarily through class (aristocracy). The class divide appears less in Sparta, in that
it was also a military dictatorship, but nevertheless, Sparta s elder council of the
Gerousia was pulled from the aristocracy.(Brand, n.d.,
Consequences Of Rules In Candade By Dudley Randall s
Candide
Rules are challenged all the time for many reasons. Rules should only be challenged
at an appropriate time like maybe when you don t agree with the rules and your
against it. Sometimes challenging rules can have good consequences and bad
consequences. In the poem The Ballad of Birmingham written by Dudley Randall
and the story Candidewritten by Voltaireboth have rules, but in one story the rules
were followed and the other rules were broken.
In the poem The Ballad of Birmingham A girls wants to go to a march but she is
not allowed, instead she is told to go to church she follows the rulers and she gets
killed, says in the poem on lines 31 and 32 ВЁO, here s the shoe my baby wore,
But, baby, where are you. In the story Candide a boy does not follow rules in a
castle and gets kicked out of the castle states in the story on paragraph 8 ВЁBaron
Thunder ten Tronckh passed near the screen and beholding this cause and effect
caused Candide from the castle with great kicks on the backside.ВЁ
In the Poem ВЁThe Ballad of BirminghamВЁ the rules were not to go to the march,
But the rules were changed, she thought thinks it s going to be dangerous No baby
no you may not go for the dogs are fierce and wild and clubs and hoses guns and
jails aren t good for a little child. The character Baby was told to go to the church
instead of the march, states on lines 13 16 No, Baby, no, you may not go, for i fear
those guns will fire. But you may go to church instead and sing in the children s
choir. Baby followed her mother s orders. She has combed and brushed her night
dark hair and bathed rose petal sweet and drawn white gloves on her small brown
hands and white shoes on her feet Baby was now ready to go to church. The
consequences she got for following the rules of going to church instead of going
to the march is that she was killed by an explosive says on lines 25 28 For when
she heard the explosion her eyes grew wet and wild she raced through the streets of
Birmingham calling for her child O, here s the shoe my baby wore, But, baby,
where are you. The author s message is that maybe if you challenge the rules
sometimes good consequences could happen, so it might be appropriate to challenge
rules most of the

  • 4. My Spiritual Autobiography Of My Life Spiritual Autobiography I often hear people say I knew I was called to preach the gospel or ministry is in my blood. For many years, even into adulthood, I thought ministry was only about preaching. I did not understand the depth of ministry until I became intimate with God. I realize that those who said they were called to preach are only seeking out a job because true ministry is a lifestyle. My spiritual journey began in early childhood. However, unlike many others who grew up as pastor kids, the long boring years I spent in church services deterred me from wanting to go into ministry. Even into adulthood, I went to church but that is all I wanted to do. I wanted to go to service, listen to the pastor, give my offering, say amen then go home and proceed with the rest of my life. In fact, this cycle and my view about doing ministry continued until my late 20s. As a seminarian looking back on my childhood, I discovered my family s church habits were the norm for people at that time. My grandmother did not believe women should to wear pants because they were things that pertain to a man (Deuteronomy 22:5) and the skirt should always be a modest length. I could not see it at that time, but, unknowingly, while I was grumbling and complaining about my clothes and the time we spent in church, the other believers were instilling biblical values in me that would manifest later in life. My relationship with God between ages 18 and 26 is similar to the people in the last

Mass incarceration within the United States has been a severe issue over the years and mass incarceration is increasing drastically. Mass incarceration is a term used by sociologist to describe the increasing prison population over the past forty years. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, one in every fifteen African Americanmales eighteen or older is incarcerated, one in every thirty six Hispanic males is incarcerated, and only one in every 106 white males is incarcerated. In addition to the social injustice of prisons, the amount of money used towards incarceration is outrageous and unfortunately, is increasing more frequently than money spent for U.S education. According to the U.S. Department of Justice (2013), federal and states governments spend approximately 80 billion dollars annually to operate prisons and jails for those convicted. However, the U.S. annually spends more than 80 billion dollars on correctional facilities. Government budgets do not include the cost for health care benefits for the correctional staff, health care provided to inmates, and certain pension obligations, totaling up to 13.9% of corrections costs.

Conveyor belt is quite often used to produce step by step in order to achieve production efficiency. Secondly, cycle time is the actual time between completions of successive units for a line process on a production line. For example, LWT completes 1 shutter in 30 minutes, and thus 30 minutes for a shutter is the cycle time on the production line. However, cycle time also requires higher level of equipment and labor to finish the task in order to achieve consistent quality and high efficiency. 1. Customization Make to Stock Make to stock is one of the manufacturing processes which are used as holding inventory at the end of the supply chain. In make to stock system, companies are necessarily able to evaluate demand to decide how much products they should produce and stock (Rabbani, 2011). As a consequence, make to stock has to be relied on forecasting. Make to stock (MTS) products involve no any customization. Generic products are produced in large amount of volumes to justify keeping a finished goods inventory. Consumers have to buy these products off the shelf from retail stores. In our scenario, LWT produces batches of 500 50 1000 of shutters as inventory. Therefore, make to stock which is the least level of customization was offering by LWT. As knowing LWT is using make to stock system, it has obviously objective for their products,

Mattel Toy Recall Essay Executive Summary Mattel has been criticized heavily for having to recall not once but thrice in 5 weeks 20 million toys manufactured in China with lead paint and/or loose, potentially dangerous magnets. Clearly Mattel does not have sufficiently tight quality control procedures in its supply chain to compensate for the extra risks of outsourcing to Chinese subcontractors and clearly there are design flaws in the toys with the magnets that could come loose. Mattel already has an extensive quality assurance program (GMP) in place long before the bad paint job. That program involved mandatory quality tests by Mattel s vendors as well as testing of in process and finished goods by Mattel itself. The Toys delivered were clearly not the ones ordered and specified by Mattel and somehow toxic materials had found their way into the production process. To try and increase profits suppliers will often switch raw materials for something similar and cheaper and have got good at passing audits and appearing compliant without actually being compliant. In many cases, it is the supplier s sub contractors and the sub sub contractors where the switch occurs and the deeper down the supply chain the problem exists, the more difficult it is to spot. The ultimate responsibility for the product quality rests with the company that owns the brand9. Contracts between the corporations and the suppliers clearly stipulate the materials to be used and not to be used. For instance, lead based paint for toys or azo dyes for garments are forbidden10. The problem it seems is not with the contract but with the implementation. It is essential for Mattel to enforce stringent quality controls to catch any vendor who tries to trick them again. At the same time it is also essential for Mattel to ensure

  • 18. Outline The Concept Of Skepticism How do we know things for certain? How can I be certain of the things I consider to be true? The only way we can know things for certain is through doubting the things we think we know, also known as skepticism. In this paper I will argue that skepticism is the best way to know things for certain because it acknowledges the presence of cognitive dissonance, self justification and the things we can learn by questioning. I will proceed as follows: I will outline the concepts of skepticism, according to Carol Tavris and Elliot Aronson, and the concepts of rationalism, according to RenГ© Descartes. Then, I will compare rationalism and skepticism by explaining how challenging the ways we think we know stuff and cognitive dissonance can affect how we perceive things through skepticism and describing Descartes many principles based off of reason and how he uses these reasons to slowly affirm the things we must know for certain through rationalism. Epistemology is the study of how we attain knowledge or why we believe stuff in the way we do. There are many branches in epistemology to explain how we learn and comprehend things, but also how we can know things for certain. Skepticism, a concept within epistemology, is a way we know the things we do with certainty. By using doubt and questioning how we perceive things, we can examine the validity of the knowledge and ideas that people seem sure of or believe must be true. By assessing things skeptically, it allows us to comprehend that

O Connor shocked her twentieth century readers with the haunting style and piercing questions in her short stories and novels, which were centered on a combination of her life experiences, her deep Catholic faith, and the literature of the time. In her last moments, though, she is consumed with the redemption of grace in extremity and reaches out to the Misfit, recognizing him as one of her children. This act of love also disturbs the Misfit, who no longer recognizes murder as pleasure after seeing the grandmother lying peacefully, but now exemplifies the emptiness found in rejecting grace ( Is Flannery O Connor a Catholic Writer? ). The common themes in O Connor s work highlight the sinful and prideful human condition and the desperate need of salvation. In addition to her Catholic lifestyle, the contemporary style of writing affected O Connor s short stories and novels. The contemporary movement took place in the mid 1900 s, progressing into American literature after World War II. Contemporary literature is an extension of postmodern literature, for both styles deal with important issues and events of the modern day time period. Common themes include irony, vanity, pride, mutual deception, intruders, and feelings of dissolved isolationism. Flannery

Stepping into the 21st century, those words have not been faithfully lived up to, evident through the numerous counts of divorces in society. Divorce can be defined as the legal dissolution of a marriageby a court order and in this generation, is seen as the norm. Apart from race, other major predictors of divorce include age at marriage, education, premarital births and religion. (Bartolic, Martin, White, 2013). Divorce often tends to be thought of in a monolithic way, as if everyone who gets a divorce goes through the same process. The impact of divorce on the well being of children have been notoriously viewed with a negative lens for many years due to possible risk factors that may affect children and their upbringing as they navigate through life as their parents separate. Along with his collaborator ThГ©odore Simon, Binet published revisions of his intelligencescale in 1908 and 1911, the last appearing just before his death. Binet was born as Alfredo Binetti in Nice, then part of the Kingdom of Sardinia. He was the only child of a physician father and an artist mother. Simon had nominated himself a few years before as Binet s research assistant and worked with him on the intelligence tests that Binet is known for, which share Simon s name as well. In 1905, a new test for measuring intelligence was introduced and simply called the Binet Simon scale. In 1908, they revised the scale, dropping, modifying, and adding tests and also arranging them according to age levels from three to thirteen. In 1904 a French professional group for child psychology, La SociГ©tГ© Libre pour l Etude Psychologique de l Enfant, was called upon by the French government to appoint a commission on the education of retarded children. The commission was asked to create a mechanism for identifying students in need of alternative education. Binet, being an active member of this group, found the impetus for the development of his mental scale. Binet and Simon, in creating what historically is known as the Binet Simon Scale, comprised a variety of tasks they thought were representative of typical children s abilities at various ages. This task selection process was based on their many years of observing children in natural settings. They then tested their measurement on a sample of fifty children, ten children per five age groups. The children selected for their study were identified by their school teachers as being average for their age. The purpose of this scale of normal functioning, which would later be revised twice using more stringent standards, was to compare
  • 23. The Formative Elements Of Classical Scholarship ROMANTICISM, WEIMAR CLASSICISM, STURM UND DRANG In this chapter, I consider the formative elements of classical scholarship; in particular, how scholarship developed through this time period from something to be studied by elite amateurs to something formalised. What I examine specifically is how the themes of elitism, mysticism, projection, and language were the defining paradigms of thought for Romantics. In later chapters, these recurring themes will show themselves time and time again in scholarship, ultimately showing that Freud s psychoanalysis was an evolution of existing ideology, not a revolutionary idea. Thus in order to understand how psychoanalysis became seen as a viable tool with which to approach mythology one must examine the roots of western classical scholarship. During the Romantic era intellectual authority lay with the poets, novelists, and playwrights. To understand how the scholarly community came to be so receptive to Freud it is key to examine how these paradigms affected the respected views of myth and history given by amateur historians and fop poets alike in the Romantic era. ELITISM The Romantic Movement was really only open to the privileged and wealthy. Schiller s early Romantic plays had many of the hallmarks of Romantic literature historical figures such as Joan of Arc and Mary Queen of Scots were lauded and personal freedom and broadly anarchist views were positively expressed . Also, they are motivated to fight for different reasons. An Anglo Saxon hero also fights differently than a modern day hero. An example of this comparison is Bono from the band U2 and Beowulf. Both modern day heroes, like Bono and Anglo Saxon heroes, like Beowulf, try to improve their societies, but do it in different ways and for different reasons. Bono has organized and created many foundations that help and save people all over the world. Another Difference these two types of heroes have is why they fight their battles. I sold my life for this treasure and I sold it well (Raffel 820 821). The Anglo Saxon heroic code states that Anglo Saxon heroes are seeking fortune. Beowulf makes many references in the poem of how he seeks wealth. Modern day heroes are the complete of this. All of Bono s foundations are non profit and the money they raise goes right to various charities. In modern day society it is considered greedy for a celebrity to seek money. On the other hand, it is perfectly normal and accepted for an Anglo Saxon hero to seek wealth. It was respected and not uncommon for an Anglo Saxon hero to boast. This is a major difference between Anglo Saxon heroes and modern day heroes. Bono has not once bragged about all of the good things he has done, or the money he makes. Meanwhile, through out the whole poem Beowulf is bragging about his strengths, riches, and ancestors. All modern day heroes would not be considered heroes

When you are an employee, you will consider items such as the investment choices, administration fees, or loan terms. However, if you are an owner, the most important thing to think about may be how to contribute the highest amount you can under Section 415. For 2016, the defined contribution plan annual addition limit without catch up is $53,000, and will rise to $54,000 next year. The Internal Revenue Code (IRC) subjects qualified employer plans to compliance testing. Employer 401(k) plans must pass the actual deferral percentage (ADP) test, and if there are employer match contributions, the actual contribution percentage (ACP) test. India has therefore managed to combine its impressive economic achievements, which can match that of the developed world, whilst continually facing humanitarian issues present in developing nations. This conclusion suggests that economic development does not necessarily have a correlation with human development. Until recently, a common view of development referred to rising income levels and overall economic growth of a country. However, in recent years a shift towards focusing upon humanity issues and circumstances rather than monetary concerns reflects the new definition of a nation s development, which can be measured by the Human Development Indicator (HDI) produced by the United Nation Development Programme in 1990. Discussions on the goals of development now involve emphasizing the reduction of poverty, rather than raising the average levels of income per capita (Anand Ravallion, 1993, p. 133).
  • 29. The Impact Of Organizational Activity On The Performance... The preeminent feature of organizational activity is its programmed character: behavior is an enactment of (more or less) pre established routines: At any given time, a government consists of existing organizations, each with a fix set of standard operating procedures and programs. The behavior of these organization and consequently of the government is therefore, determine primarily by routines established in these organizations prior to that instance . (Allison 1971: 81) The more standardized these procedures are, the less discretionary is to carry them out. The downside is that responses may become less appropriate to surprising and non expected events. The 27F crisis is a suitable case to analyze the performance of a large scale organization like the State and its patterns of response to external problems. Allison s model establishes that to perform complex routines, the behavior of a large number of individuals must be coordinated and that such coordination requires standard operating procedures: rules that determine what/how things are done. Fifty Shades Of Grey Themes Fifty Shades of Grey is an elaborate film that ties love and romance with bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism (BDSM) (Leistner Mark, 2016). This movie has a push/pull romantic relationship with an university senior Anastasia (Ana) Steele and a muiti millionaire Christian Grey. Ana and Christian are instantly attracted to each other however, their relationship throughout the movie tends to be strictly sexually based. This is depicted throughout the entire film, from the first time the main characters have sex all way to the end of the film. In addition, the role that each gender plays in the movie is another theme that was portrayed in the film. BDSM within the film is expressed as pleasurable and something that everyone will enjoy. With all the whips, toys and ties that are mentioned or said within in the film it sounds amusing for anyone. In addition, the contract (De Luca Johnson, 201) that is a fundamental base line for Christian to be involved with Ana is poorly portrayed. Within the movie it is seen not as a consent between both the dominant and submissive, however it is a rule that is turned into a living, breathing, and at times uncomfortable interpersonal experiences (Laurie Kean, 2015). In reality, this consent is something that both the dominant and submissive agree to that will and will not happen when being involved in BDSM not something that will alter one s life. BDSM is based on trust and communication between the dominant and the submissive, which was lacked in the film. Ana agreed to situations that she didn t know she was putting herself in, for example punishment that Ana was going to receive because she was out of line (De Luca Johnson, 2015). Here in the movie it was shown as whipping using a leather belt on the butt, the tears and faces that she was making whilst it was happening showed that it was not pleasurable. Here once again, BDSM was not presented correctly. Research suggests that an important factor in maintaining sexual satisfaction and relationship satisfaction is being able to communicate effectively (Leistner, Mark, 2016), this is why at the end of the film, Ana ended the relationship because communication was not there and she felt hurt and betrayed rather than

After Europe had just emerged the war, many individuals believed that the world had become inhumane and chaotic. As a result, critics have argued that T.S. Eliot s The Waste Land was written to seek order in a disturbed world. Eliot s publication caused a significant impact on modern society and the literary world. Initially, the poem seems to be incoherent and fragmented; after readers have observed his poem, they are able to recognize Eliot s brilliantly unique and nontraditional use of techniques. His unconventional style, graphic imagery, and sheer inconsistency of the poem has greatly mystified and fascinated readers. While Eliot was writing The Waste Land, he was enduring times of personal difficulty, which was distinctively expressed in his poem. Thus, his work became a well known piece that expressed the mood of a postwar society, disillusioned by the loss of principles. Eliot decided to transform his poem, not only to demonstrate despair and misery, but to also seek the means to escape it. Consequently, T.S. Eliot s use of unconventional language and style allows his audience to get a glimpse of an attempt to represent the subject of human soul searching for redemption. T. S. Eliot s poem is a long and complex masterpiece that investigates the psychological, emotional and cultural disaster that was associated to the severely traumatic after effects of World War I. Locally, marine sandstones of the Tiger Supersequence (Wigunda and Potoroo formations) also have excellent reservoir quality. Away from regional highs, prodelta mudstone of the Wigunda Formation provides an effective seal for these highly porous intervals. Of secondary interest are fluviolacustrine lithologies intersected within the Loongana and lower Borda formations. Although of highly variable reservoir quality, these intervals have poor to moderate overall porosity, mainly due to the high depth of burial. Shales of the Madura and Toondi formations and intraformational shale of the Loongana Formation can provide adequate seal for these potential reservoirs. It is a tree because it is unresponsive and insensitive, it is a beast because it is brute and sensual, and the heavens are the heavens because they are harmonious in order. The freedom to practice their religion how they wanted to, without prosecution, was what motivated the Puritans to leave their homeland. This led to freedom of religion being the foundation of the American Dream. The Puritans belief in divine retribution and divine providence was how their faith guided them. They used God to justify everyday occurrences and asked for God s help when facing hardships. If something unfortunate happened, they interpreted it as divine retribution, for example, when the rude sailor was the first to die and be thrown overboard. If something good happened, such as when they found the Native s stash of corn, they saw it as divine providence. The struggles faced by the Puritans and the struggles faced by modern day immigrants are similar in the sense that many immigrants today are fleeing their country to be able to practice their religion freely, or to escape oppressive governments, just as the Puritans did. You could almost say that they were obsessed with God. They constantly talked about and thanked god for nearly everything. The Puritans came to America for one thing: religious freedom. And it helped a lot with pursuing the American dream because it showed that they actually do have the power to have their own dream. Since God was on there minds a lot, whenever something would happen, they constantly looked to God for guidance and whatever the outcome, they believed it was God basically saying it was meant to happen. For example, there was a man on the boat who got very sick but instead of feeling bad, the puritans took it as a sign from God that this was meant to
  • 50. Hamlet Film Adaption Vs. Play Comparison Hamlet Film Adaption vs. Play Comparison Shakespeare s Hamlet has countlessly been formatted into film depictions of the play. Each film seemed to be on one end of the spectrum of either being closely interpreted or completely remodeled a different idea of what Hamlet is. The film version of Hamlet released in 2000 seems to follow closely to the play in some aspects, yet at the same time having its own unique identity Despite there being many differences with the play Hamlet and the film adaptation of Hamlet (2000) by Michael Almereyda there are three categories that really stand out, those are the character portrayal, interrelationship between the characters, and some of the essential themes differ as well. Although there are many differences, one aspect that remains the same is the dialogue of the characters which stays true to the Shakespearean dialect. When transforming any type of literary work into film there are certain areas that have to be manipulated in order to fit into the mold of a film. The play Hamlet, by Shakespeare, is no exception. As Hamlet is Shakespeare s longest play, made up of more than 4,000 lines, there is no other choice than to have it cut down to fit into the standard parameters of a film. Along with the play being subject to being cut down, certain liberties are given to a director to adapt the work in a way to make it more unique. Almereyda made Hamlet much more modern in relation to scenery and character representations. Many of the
  • 51. Position Of OIG Case Study The Position of the OIG The OIG contends that the Individual intentionally violated the SNAP program regulations, twenty one (21) occasions during the period of September 12, 2012 through August 13, 2013, by debiting her SNAP card in exchange for cash or non food items through a vendor known as Jennies Market. The total amount of the violating SNAP transactions was $1,553.79. The Department is seeking recoupment of this amount and requesting that a twelve (12) month disqualification period from the SNAP program be imposed. The OIG Representative called IMCW, DG from the Philadelphia County Assistance Office, as her first witness. He testified that he has received initial training in and periodically receives ongoing training in his position... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although it could indicate that the card was not working, the Individual did not report his card to be damaged at any time during the claim period. The OIG pointed out a specific transaction made on May 7, 2013. At 11:18:56 a transaction was made at 1937 Snyder Avenue at a vendor named Rosa s Market. The OIG Representative testified that Jennies Market is a four (4) minute walk from Rosa s Market. At 11:26, on the same day, the Individual made a transaction at Jennie s Market in the amount of $100.61. This means the items totaling $100.61 would need to be selected, brought to the register, manually entered (since there was no scanner), and then the card would have to be manually keyed within a matter of minutes. The OIG found this to be an example of one of many highly unlikely and highly suspicious
  • 52. Essay on Religion, Politics, and Diplomacy Those who say religion has nothing to do with politics do not know what religion is (Mahatma Gandhi). Though many politicians of the day say that government should be in a separate category than religion, it still plays an important role. Religion may not be big in countries like America, but it weighs heavily on many other countries all around the world. That is why when doing anything, a business deal, or a diplomatic trip, there needs to be cautionary measures taken. Two authors go over the subject of one countryunderstanding another: Journalist Thomas Friedman in his text The Dell Theory of Conflict Prevention , and former Secretary of State Madeline Albright in her text Faith and Diplomacy . In both texts the authors stem off... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Albright really wants peace, and as a former Secretary of State she has not seen much. She talks a lot about religion and how it can be good and bad. People fight wars because of religion; they also die because of it too. There can be a level of not understanding a different country s habits and niches. Albright believes a goal should be set by the government, In the future, no American ambassador should be assigned to a country where religious feelings are strong unless he or she has a deep understanding of the faiths commonly practiced there (29). Take this idea of Albright s and expand it to not only diplomats, but the traveling business man as well. There are many a time when a business man does not know the culture and religious background of a country, does something silly during a business meeting, and offends everyone. Let s say if the business man goes to Japan, if they don t follow these rules: No excessive eye contact, never ever be late for an appointment, avoid wearing lots of jewelry and bright colors, and others as well, the Japanese business man will get very upset, and that could make everything bad. If someone does these bad things with the wrong people, like a dignitary, it could mean war. Examining the tension between China and Taiwan, Hundreds of big American tech companies now have R D operations in China; a war that disrupted them could lead not only to the companies moving their plants elsewhere...
  • 53. Compare And Contrast The Form Of Government Introduction: To compare the above forms of government, it will help to have some brief, dictionary definitions. After that, I will show the relationship between these forms, as they apply to Ancient Greek city states. Monarchy: supreme power or sovereignty held by a single person ( Monarchy , n.d.) . Aristocracy: a government or state ruled by an aristocracy, elite, or privileged upper class ( Aristocracy , n.d.) . Tyranny: the government or rule of a tyrant or absolute ruler ( Tyranny , n.d.) . Oligarchy: a form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in a dominant class or clique; government by the few ( Oligarchy , n.d.) . Democracy: government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Additionally, the poor, women, and slaves made up the vast majority of Ancient Greece ( Can the population of Sparta and Athens be calculated? , n.d.). We can therefore say that the vast majority of the ruled had far worse lives than the rulers. And yet the democratic reforms instituted by Solon and later by Cleisthenes only peeled away rights for the middle classes and male citizens. As I mentioned in last week s assignment, I think this has largely to do with the ability of the middle classes to organize a sufficient demand against the rulers, and that Power concedes nothing without a demand (Douglass, 1857). To speak to this week s question then, I think it can be said that Ancient Greece was fundamentally an aristocracy, which is in essence an oligarchy. That would be the case with both Athens and Sparta. Both of these city states were ruled by a small minority of their overall populations (oligarchy), and those rulers obtained power primarily through class (aristocracy). The class divide appears less in Sparta, in that it was also a military dictatorship, but nevertheless, Sparta s elder council of the Gerousia was pulled from the aristocracy.(Brand, n.d.,

But you may go to church instead and sing in the children s choir. Baby followed her mother s orders.
