The attempt to impose upon man, a creature of growth and capable of sweetness, to
ooze juicily at the last round that bearded lips of God, to attempt to impose I say,
laws and conditions appropriate a mechanical creation, against this raise my sword
pen (loc. 678) This phrase from the novel, A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
means that a totalitarian society with dehumanizing laws or a structure will deprive
our free will, and recreate the creation of God to the unnatural creation done
mechanically. The novel, A Clockwork Orangewas published in 1962 and is set in
the near future England. It is about Alex aged 15 in the beginning of the novel,

Rather, when he sees or listen things related to them, he feels sick and sometimes
vomit or simply go to bed. Especially in the beginning of the Part3, it shows the fact
that the condition of his situation and how he feels towards it, is completely the
opposite as before. Before, he was feared but also worried by his parents, but now
he is the unwanted. Before, he was the one who violated people, but now he has
become the victim of violence. Billyboy and Dim was once gangs that represented
the evil this world, but now they became the police officer that is the good in this
world. It is all as if Alex s story has been mirrored between before and after the
experiment. Before he gangs up with Rick, Len, and Bully, Alex wandered around
the city since her family pushed him back from his house, though he ends up being
at the cottage marked HOME . This is an ironic pattern for Alex because he was
unwanted by his real home but he was accepted by HOME . However, even though
F. Alexander the owner of the cottage accepted him, he tried to commit suicide
saying Goodbye, goodbye, may Bog forgive you for a reined life. (loc. 2495)
Interestingly, the order of places Alex goes after coming out of the harsh experiment,
is the other way around as where he went before he went to prison. After his family
refused him, he goes to the old record
3. Comparison With Walton s Argument On Photography
And...
1: I agree with Walton s argument on photographic realism. I interpreted his
argument that the artist or photographer has a choice in how realistic their work is
and that they can be more skilled, or in the photographer s case avoid any
manipulation. However, it is more difficult for a painter to achieve this because they
not only need to understand the concept of realism but also be able to perform in a
manner that will allow the production of a realistic painting. A photographer, on the
contrary, needs to properly understand the functions of a camera to achieve realism.
Thus, I would agree that both a photographer and a painter can achieve realism, but a
photographer is able to much easier than a painter.
____________________________________________________________________________
2: Objects present in a photograph are easily distinguishable from reality itself
because the objects are not the objects themselves. Therefore, Walton states that
photographs have a distinct kind of realism. Photographs are always an image of an
object that really exists and as a result, viewers are able to see the world through
photographs. However, seeing through a photograph is a different perception than
seeing reality itself. When a viewer sees through a photograph, they are literally
seeing the object, but it is indirect as the viewer is not present in the actual scene to
view it for themselves. Therefore, a viewer is able to literally see an ancestor
realistically that is not really present and are shown what they would have seen if
they were present for the photograph being taken. Furthermore, I agree with what
Walton is saying about photography having a special realism. It is not as if the viewer
is directly seeing the scene in real life, but rather seeing the real scene as if they were
present.
____________________________________________________________________________
3:
I agree with Walton that there is such a difference between what viewers see in
photographs and paintings. When someone looks at a photograph of a person, they
are seeing that person in a fixed way, a real representation. However, a painting of a
person, even if not intended, is not going to be as clear and explicit as a

hand, it s also easier for you to understand your friend s feeling because your friend
have the same personality with you. But, if you just have friend that similar to you,
you will never try new things that maybe also wonderful. Everything would be bored
for you because you always do the same thing and try the same thing. For example,
you like to eat ramen only in Ikudo Ichi, and your friend also eat ramen in Ikudo

You never try to eat ramen in other restaurants like marugame udon. If you have

try something that you never try before. You will also find your life more colourful
with type friend like that. In the other side, there are also some
5. The Roman Empire And Republic
Since the Roman Empire and Republic and the Christian Roman Empire were set in
prolific time periods, they were powerful and cultured in their own standing. Society
between these two, conclusively was supported by each community. Respectably, the
following idea of society is comprised of religion, women, government, and rule. As
religion is at the center of every community, the Christian Roman Empireand Roman
Republic and Empire held fast to their beliefs. To be part of the Christian religion,
in the Christian Roman Empire, citizens simply were required to accept that Jesus
was God s son and that he died for our sins and rose from the dead. Yet, in the
Roman Empire, they believed in the several gods. Some, even from lands they
conquered, then changed the names of the god to fit into the Roman norm.
Regrettably, Christians were often accused of causing hardships to the Roman
Empire. The Emperor Decius enforced the rule that everyone must sacrifice to him,
but the Christians would not. Since, the Christians denied the Emperor Decius the
pleasure of having everyone sacrifice to him, hundreds of Christians were massacred.
Once Emperor Decius passed, the brutal killings subsided. Eventually, Constantine
allowed the free worship of Christianity. While the Christians believe that fate is
already decided, the pontiffs (priests) of the Roman Empire performed religious
rituals to make the gods do what they desired, such as: ensure victory in war, safe
childbirths, and bountiful

executed by the electric chair in the Florida State Prison on January 24, 1989. His
true victim count, however, remains unknown. The all star cast, including Zac Efron,

10. Distillation Of Limonene Lab Report
In this lab, extractions, classification tests, and a distillation was performed in
order to isolate two natural products, eugenol and limonene. In the isolation of
limonene, steam distillation was used to obtain the water insoluble oil. This was
done with 10.01g of orange peel and 50mL of water. Once heated, a 30mL distillate
was obtained. This was a mixture of water and the organic compound of limonene.
In order to isolate the limonene, 5.0mL of ethyl acetate was added to the water and
limonene mixture and two layers were separated. The two layers that formed were

The Bromide Test and permanganate test were performed with cyclohexane and
cyclohexene, to further understand how these tests work. Both test were positive
for the cyclohexene and negative for the cyclohexane. These test were positive for
the Cyclohexene because of the Double bond present. This double bond, which is
present in limonene and eugenol as well, reacts with the bromine and permanganate
to produce a new compound. The production of the new compound id confirmed by
the fading of the brown color of bromide and the change from purple to brown of the
permanganate. These test did not work for the cyclohexane because no double bond
was present. The lack of the double bond means that the reaction had not place to
occur and therefor did not. These standards help in the understanding of what the
outcomes of Eugenol and Limonene should be. Since these outcomes were
reasonable and both compounds were purified, this lab was

This skill will be useful to me in the future as I endeavor to improve my teaching
skills at my high school. Also, this ability will be necessary for my future aim of
teaching in college. This is not to say that this was the only benefit that I received
from my graduate program. While attending Arizona State s online program, I was
able to improve my technological skills exponentially. I did have some computer
and technology skills prior to attending the program. However, my marketable
computer skills left much to be desired. For instance, while I did have a basic
understanding of Microsoft based programs such as word, I was completely
ignorant of Google and its affiliated products. This meant that I lacked the skills to
complete online applications such as Google Docs and Slides. However, my
graduate program helped me to overcome this shortcomings. In particular, my
capstone project compelled me learn Google and operate within its applications.
Furthermore, my capstone project also provided me the crucial skills to be able to
collaborate with others to complete projects. I believe that competency in multiple
computer platforms is important for two key reasons. First, as the work environment
becomes more technology based, being able to navigate multiple platforms is
necessary to find a career and to succeed in it. Second, the modern workplace is
becoming increasingly dynamic with team work serving

However, Tinto s Model, according to Carrera, Nora, and CastaГ±eda (1993), has a
major gap. The Model fails to address the role of external factors which shape student
perceptions, commitments, and preferences. Tinto s Limits of Theory and Practice in
student Attrition (1982) would address these external factors.
The Student Attrition Model proposes that behavioral intentions are shaped by a
process wherein beliefs shape attitudes, and these attitudes influence behavioral
intents. These beliefs are presumed to be affected by a student s experience while
attending an institution. The Model also recognizes that external factors can also
affect student attitudes and decisions while attending college (Carrera, Nora,
CastaГ±eda, 1993).Spady (1970, 1971) was the first one to propose that institutional
change was necessary in an effort to address student persistence issues. In 1975, Tinto
produced additional research on student persistence, and placed emphasis on how the
relationship between students, society, and the institution were contributors to
student success.
Because of the need to increase the number of Hispanic male student who persist and

activities, interviews, and surveys among groups of Hispanic male students to gain
more insights into the challenges being faced by these students. It is through these
groups that a researcher can gain a better understanding as students will have the

Experiencing anything new is always a step outside of my comfort zone, and with
this project in particular whether it was going to someone else s church or
bringing them to mine. I felt confident when it came to going to someone else s
church, because I had a sense of what to expect and felt as though I knew enough
about the environment. However, when it came to bringing someone to my
church I did not feel that same sense of confidence. I have a primary church(full
member), and I have another church that is smaller and more family like. I chose
to bring my guest(Andrew H) to my smaller church, because the size would not
have been has impactful as well as they do a dual language service(haitian creole

there but I wanted to learn more. Saturday, November 27 I attended Braintree SDA
Church, and it was quite different from what I am used to. Those leading the
service and those participating in it have more interaction than I am used to. When
it came to worship there was a designated book in the pews and a list of hymns in
the program for you to follow along. I was not used to retaining the music like that.

21. The Perils Of Empathy
During my sophomore year of high school, I broke my leg playing football. I had
called my coach on the way home from the doctor s office to tell him. After talking
to a few of my friends on the team, I received a flood of texts from the rest of my
teammates. One of the seniors, Mike, talked to me about he broke his leg his
freshman year. He supported me through telling his story, and that despite his injury
he was still able to earn a scholarship from the University of Pittsburgh. While it
couldn t have been difficult for him to put himself in my shoes, his encouragement
was meaningful to me. I only knew him for a year, and he took time out of his

Bloom constantly portrays empathy as feeling exactly as another person. Bloom
essentially frames a one sided debate on the merits of empathy by defining it to its
most extreme level. While Matthieu Ricard, a Buddhist monk, may find that
empathy very quickly became intolerable, most people do not exhibit this level of
emotional distress while experiencing empathy. By illustrating the so called perils
of empathy through a level 6 psychotherapist, and a Buddhist monk, he
misconstrues the meaning of empathy. Everyday or normal empathy is much
closer to what Bloom defines as compassion or cognitive empathy. Being able to
understand how someone else feels and then act on it is what most people mean
when they talk about empathy. It s ridiculously obvious that I wouldn t want my
doctor, friends, teammates or family to feel as if they were going through the both
the physical pain of breaking a bone, or how I felt being stuck on the sidelines
while my best friends played football and basketball without me. I needed those
closest to me to understand how I felt, and reassure me that I d make a full

that is important. Problem statement that I would like to state in this study is in
formal way and informal way. Problem that has been existing in the Malaysian
Automotive Industry is involving the reputation, government policies, consumer
perceptions and competitiveness. One of the problems faced by Malaysian
Automotive Industry is reputation. For many years Proton car is always being
branded as a cheap and below par car manufacturer. Due to this unwanted reputation,
consumers are sceptical about Malaysian cars where it does not guarantee any
assurance. Since Proton was formed in 1985, Proton managed to breakthrough in
domestic and international market as an affordable car. But over the years, Proton
has compete aggressively with other automotive manufacturers due to localization
of many foreign manufacturers in Malaysia. Due to the localization, foreign cars
has been in the market in lower prices. This makes Proton as a car that does not
have resale value because the pricing of Malaysian cars depreciates rapidly each

23. Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the demographic...
The demographic transition model describes how the population of a country changes
over time. It gives changes in birth rates and death rates, and shows that countries
pass through five different stages of population change (Stage one High fluctuation,
Stage two Early expanding, Stage three Late expanding, Stage four Low fluctuating
and Stage five Decline) The demographic transition model has both strengths and
weaknesses for example some strengths would include that the demographic
transition model is a universal concept, therefore being able to be applied to every
country in the world, Another strength would be that the model shows a change over
time and can be seen as a predictor, with the expectation that every country... Show

It also shows change over time and can also shows change over time and can be

However the Demographic Transition model also has its weaknesses some weakness
would include the fact that the demographic transition model does not include the
role of the government, some governments may put antenatal and prenatal operations
in place to encourage the decrease or to increase the birth rate within these
countries, therefore countries like China that are antenatal and have the one child
policy put in place and countries like the UK which are prenatal and offer child
benefits may show fluctuation of the birth rate in stages it should be decreasing or
increasing in. Further more In stage four, the UK experienced a post war baby boom
where the birth rate should be steadily decreasing this shows that the demographic
transition model does not include the impacts of wars, natural hazards or migration
either. In addition another weakness would be that it is Eurocentric based and
therefore is assuming that all other countries in the world will follow the European
sequence of economic changes

Other laws that have impacted Tesla include, a California law, that reduced Elon

26. Power Corrupts Absolute Power In Animal Farm By George
Orwell
Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Lord Acton s quote
is shown very clearly by George Orwell s book, Animal Farm. In the book, a boar,
named Napoleon, leads the farm animals in a revolution to overthrow the farmer.
He then begins the search for power. Napoleon becomes the leader and turns the
farm into a dictatorship as he gains full control. Napoleon slips into the ways of the
farmer. Animal Farm represents the dictatorships in society and how a totalitarian
government controls its people through propaganda. In a dictatorship, life is not
very good. People die more often because the leader wants everything to be in their
eyes. A good example of this How Joseph Stalin ran the Soviet Union. Napoleon
takes control of Animal farm after the revolution against the farmer, and he takes
control of the farm through propaganda. He throws out his only rival for power,
Snowball. After Snowball is removed Napoleon gains absolute power over
everyone and everything on the farm. Napoleon gradually becomes more and more
corrupt as time wears on. He becomes so corrupt he invites other farmers and they

The Shortcomings of College Education
The more we know the world around us, the more successful we will be. This
quote, from the introduction of my high school chemistry book, was my driving
force as a teenager to attend college. My expectations of college were to gain
insight into a world that I had not yet discovered. I had high aspirations of receiving
a good education and obtaining a good job when I graduated. But four years later
when graduation day arrived, I felt unfulfilled. In evaluating my education, I realized
that I learned how to get good, but not great grades. I learned how to study to make
the most of my time. The focus I shared with many of my peers was not always to

This approach focuses on the importance of quality curriculum and the need for
revision so that it consists of learnings that students find enjoyable and useful. The
classes in college are intended to broaden the student s outlook on life. This is the
goal of general education. When the information is not applicable, the motivation to
learn decreases and the only incentive to attend class is because class participation is
weighted on the final grade for the class. Instructors ought not to be dispassionate,
thus, translating that same lifelessness into the students.
Another significant interference is the bias that overcomes teachers. This is affective
two fold. First, teachers are biased on the subject matter they teach. Lynne Cheney
gives very accurate accounts on the bias that exists in reputable universities
throughout the country. When a student learns that getting a good grade means
doing as the teach says, this is a disservice to the student s education. A student
from the University of Pennsylvania is quoted to just do what ever is necessary to
get a good grade...talk the talk and walk the walk for the instructor (Cheney, 17).
Classes like these, where the professor and teacher assistant impart their own
ideologies and expect to have them regurgitated right back, do not educate college
students. It is, rather, an embarrassment of one s intellectual ability to not be allowed
to explore various ideologies and theories
29. The Siege Of Jerusalem, Pompeii, Herculaneum, And
Jerusalem
City configuration was a big contributor to the vulnerability of Rome, Pompeii,
Herculaneum, and Jerusalem as well as the social importance of class and rule in
their leaders. Nero in Rome and Titus during the Siege of Jerusalem cared for
themselves and their materialistic values rather than the lives of others.
Consequently, their people and cities were torn apart. Similarly in 2011, the
Fukushima nuclear disaster effected the city in Japan severely. They withheld
important information regarding the nuclear explosions and radiation because they
wanted to save face and avoid the consequences. Japan and the company in charge,
TEPCO, put themselves above the lives of the people in Japan just like Titus and Nero
did in Rome and Jerusalem. In his letters to Atticus, Cicero frequently wrote about
the social and political life in Rome. We get a great idea of what the Roman
Republic was like with his speeches, books, but specifically his letters. He enjoyed
writing to Atticus about the problems he saw with the government and complained
to him about the officials and inherited wealth of Roman men. If he was alive
during the time of Nero s rule we would expect to read and see letters to his friends
about Nero s wealth and incapability to rule. Cicero would have been enraged with
him about the Great Fire of Rome just as Pliny, Suetonius, and Dio Cassius were.

30. Compare And Contrast Between The Crystal Structures
Paragraph 1: Compare and Contrast between the crystal structures
In this paragraph, we will be comparing between the crystal chemistry of the О± and
ОІ FePO4, describing the crystallochemical relationship between the structure and
how the structures are temperature dependent. As FePO4 distinguishes itself from the
other isotypes because the ion at the cathode is a transition metal. Transition metals
have very low ionization energies, and often high melting and boiling points. When
the temperature changes from 294K to 1073K, we observed a structural change of the
FePO4 compound. During low temperatures, the compound (О± FePO4) takes on a
tetrahedral shape and as the compound heats up, pressure increases, the compound
will transform into an octahedral ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The tilt angle of the tetrahedral would undergo tetrahedral distortion, with the bond
length and angle of P O bond changing as well. Using neutral powder diffraction, we
observed the iron phosphate quartz structure as the compound s form changes as
temperature goes from 294K to 1073K. Due to the increasing temperature, there is
low energy and high amplitude vibrations resulting in the iron phosphate compound
to expand. This is due to accommodated total neutron scattering measurement.
When it changes from alpha to beta phase, there is a change in bond angle but no
change in bond length. As the compound slowly reaches the transition temperature of
980K, the tilt angle decreases.
Another condition is when the delta value is more than 22 degrees and theta value
is less than 136 degree. Also, it is observed the Fe O bond decreases in the length,
and the angle reduces as well.
Similarly, the P O bond of the phosphate ion, an increase in temperature results in a
reduction of bond length and angle too. This is line with what we had discussed
earlier, on how the tilt angle of the tetrahedral decreases when temperature rise.
Nevertheless, other reasons may

John Beckett mentions that the Glorious Revolution has been considered a historical
event related to the political issues. The main target of this historical event was to
create a commercial freedom in Europe. After this revolution was done, trade
relations in Europe went up, and the Bill of Rights was also created in 1689. Today,
the Bill of Rights is shown and knowns that it was the first building stone for the
British constitution because it limited the monarchic power. During the eighteenth
century, the period of the Age of Enlightenmentis considered from 1713 to 1789
because Anthony Pagden states that Europe was like a republic of states, and it was
like a union acting together and talking with one voice. The Age of Enlightenment
was totally an act of improvement in trade, preventing and thwarting religion related
wars, and monarchic rules. E. P. Thompson mentions that the first industrial
revolutionoccurred in England, and he mentions that there were not many modern
things, but there was only a clock making industry. The discoveries of new places,
peoples and things also brought the Agricultural revolution, financial improvement,
and the Enlightenment and the Scientific progress, and all of these new findings and
innovations triggered to form the Industrial Revolution in England. Hence, the

Human resource management is a tool in an organization, which focuses on the
recruitment, management, and giving direction to the people who work in the
organization. Human resource management is a vital component, which deals with
issues concerned with people. Such issues include, hiring, performance management,
developmental issues, safety, staff welfare, benefits and staff motivation. An
organization cannot create a group of professional working staff without better
human resources(Stewart, Brown, 2012, 65). The human resource managementhas a
wide variety of functions in an organization. The first function is to recruit and train

Business
As an aftereffect of monetary, mechanized, and technological advancements, diverse
concentrated fields in accounting has developed, wherein accounting is the
preeminent and complex dialect of business. According to the Committee on

Accounting is the art of recording, classifying and summarizing in a significant

accounting is the act of recording, classifying, summarizing the monetary terms of the

Currently, the accounting field of study has enhanced its area from number crunching

remarkable manner. It is evident that the organizations are not just concerned in
finding the financial position of the business but as well the effect it exercises on the

you could feel the intensity in the air. Down by 2 points the ball was passed into
Billy. Coach was absolutely furious, considering Samuel was the one supposed to

at half court. It flung out of his hands and flew through the air. The buzzer rang, but
the ball was still in the air. Foot by foot it got closer to the basket. Then the ball hit
the backboard and banked in the hoop. The crowd went crazy! The whole team went

Target Markets
At the center of any effective marketing strategy is the ability to define what makes
a service unique and highly valuable to a given target market. When selling services,
which are inherently intangible, the need exists for creating value quickly and with
many forms of tangible proof of expertise sold. When selling information services the
need to generate trust and a strong sense of value has to preclude any long term
purchasing relationship (Laurence, 2001). Market Solutions needs to create a
foundation of trust with the following target markets if their information services
business is going to establish itself and thrive over time.
Trust must be the foundation of the company for it to succeed in the segments it has
chosen. These include automotive, banking, FMCG, food and beverages, hospitality
services and telecommunication services industries. Each of these industries has
unique information challenges or problems, yet all share a common interest in
customer satisfaction analysis. The customer satisfaction analysis service will be
offered to all of these industries, in addition to Ad Tracking. These two services are
foundational for the successful operation of any business and will also serve over
time to create a system of record, or master data management (MDM) platform that
will illustrate each of these industries well. One of the most critical factors of success

The two Chinese philosophies of Legalism and Confucianism could not be more
opposite. Even though two of the writers of Legalism were students of Xinzu, a
philosopher of Confucianism, there are more of differences than similarities between
the two. Because of this, legalism, which preceded the concept of Confucianism, had
a lot of reasons why Confucianism was considered wrong. While towards the fall of
the Qin Dynasty, Confucian beliefs started to revamp and become more widely
accepted and thus they were blended together to some extent, this was not the case
beforehand, in fact it could be argued that blending the two together seemed almost
impossible. Confucianism stressed the ideas of the knowledge, humaneness, and filial
piety while legalism stressed power, rewards and punishments, and agricultural
wealth. Thus from a legalist standpoint, Confucianism was considered wrong because
it placed value on virtues instead of the laws, focusing on education to prosper growth
and moral character instead of simply obeying societal laws and valuing agricultural
wealth rather than humaneness Thus differences far exceed similarities between
these two ancient beliefs. However, both have made everlasting marks on Chinese
culture and tradition that to this day still exists.
Here is my suggestion for a more succinct and focused intro, deleting what you have

In recent years overconsumption of water has drained the earth s river basins faster
than rain can replenish them. An average person s daily water footprint i.e. the total
amount of water consumed to support their lifestyle is 3,800 liters. Most of this
consumption relates to the crops that are farmed to provide us with food and clothing.
Irrigation consumes an enormous amount of water, and the effects of this are seen
at every stage in the food chain. For example 98 percent of the water footprint
created by raising beef cattle comes from growing the grain that feeds the cows
during their lifetimes. For each kilogram of steak produced, we consume 15,415
liters of water. That s enough drinking water to last one person nearly 17 years.
Growing water footprint is partly a result of our increasing population; but it is also
compounded by the fact that irrigation systems, especially in the developing world,
are often extremely inefficient. The UN Food and Agriculture Organization states that
even a good irrigation scheme is only 50 60 percent efficient. Poor irrigation
systems can result in the vast majority of the water being lost to evaporation,
seepage and other problems before it reaches the fields. Moreover, once it gets
there, if farmers choose to irrigate at the wrong time for example, just before it rains,
the water will be wasted and the crops may even be damaged.
This has severe consequences

47. Research Paper On Job Shop Scheduling
Job shop schedsuling using genetic algorithm
Abstract The job shop scheduling (JSS) can be difined as a planning of schedules
with many variations according to the requirements. In job shop scheduling problem
(JSSP) environment, there are numbers jobs to be processed on numbers of
machines with a certain objective function to be minimized or maximized. In this
paper, we have used the GT GA to solve the job shop schedulingto minimize the
makespan along with the special type of crossover known as multi step crossover
fusion (MSXF). To see wheather we get good results by modifyinng the classical
approach using GA, we have compared the result with the standard benchmark
instances available. Using this combinations of the techniques, we have got results
showing deviations less than 3%.
Index Terms Scheduling, Job Shop Scheduling, genetic algorithm.
Introduction:
The job shop scheduling problem is the combinatorial problem in which there can
be many objective functions. In this paper we have selected the makespan to be
the objective function. The main objective of any scheduling is to create a
schedule which specifies when each task is to begin and what resources it will use
that satisfies all the constraints while taking as little overall time as possible. The
scheduling in which there is a specific order of a job to be processed by perticular
machines is called as job shop scheduling problem. This kind of scheduling and
sequecing of operations deals with the allocations of resources optimally over time so

beginning to rise, Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon was the last and greatest
enlightened monarch to the extent of draining marshes, restricting self
government, and freedom of speech. As an Enlightened Monarch, Napoleon had
to do specific achievements to be seen as the greatest enlightened monarch.
Napoleon build roads/bridges, codified the laws, reduced the independence of the
church, ensure that the people have their natural rights, freedom of religious
worship, promote education, and enforce the law equally. Napoleon was not
trying to gain power for himself, but for his country. He built roads and bridges so
that trade could be easier with other countries. Over 20,000 miles of imperial and
12,000 miles of regional roads were completed. During his time Napoleon did more
than just build roads, one of his great programs were the public works. The Public
works would build roads, bridges and canals, dredge harbours; and beautify cities....

The Napoleonic Code is the French civil code established under Napoleon I in
1804. The code denied privileges based on birth, allowed freedom of religion, and
specified that government jobs should go to the most qualified, or by meritocracy.
It codified several branches of law, including commercial and criminal law, and
divided civil law into categories of property and family. The Napoleonic Code made
the men the strongest in the family, and took away the rights of any individual

52. Human Poverty Papers
Human Poverty
Poverty is the number one problem affecting the world today. Human poverty can be
explained as something that a human needs to survive and live a heathy lifestyle but
does not have. There is no direct definition for poverty when it comes to humans
(Christopher). Poverty can come in many forms. Types of poverty include
situational, generational, absolute, relative, urban, and rural poverty (Christopher).
The reason poverty is a bigger problem than all other global issues is because not
only does poverty impact the people who face it directly, it also impacts other areas
such as education, health, child devolvement, and national economy (Christopher).
Poverty plays a key role into many other global issues that people would never think
of. Poverty is an issue that cannot be taken lightly because it can lead to many health
hazards and eventually even death.
Poverty is the most serious global issue in the world today because there are
several different types. These different types effect all different ethnic groups and
ages around the world today. Poverty does not discriminate and can happen to
anyone. The first type of poverty is absolute poverty. This type of poverty is lack
of basic necessities for human life. A person that faces absolute poverty lacks things
such as food, water, and shelter. This type of poverty is common in countries in
Africa due to lack of resources. The second type of poverty is situational poverty.
Situational poverty is generally caused

Chris Velasquez
MGMT 329
Final Research Paper to Pass
A database is an organized collection of data. It is the collection of tables, queries,
reports, viewings, and other objects. The data are typically organized to model
aspects of reality in a way that supports processes requiring information, such as
modelling the structure of a major business such as Walmart, and all of its data
including things like their inventory, customers, and their employees. A database
management system is a computer software application that interacts with the user,
other applications, and the database itself to capture and analyze data. A general
purpose database management system is designed to allow the definition, creation,
querying, update, and administration of databases. The Database uses terms that are
key for anyone to sift through the collection of data that any company or business
collects. terminology consists of keywords that will help users select desired pieces
of data. The primary key is a special relational database table column of a collection
of columns appointed to individually identify all table records. The primary key s
main features include: it cannot contain a unique value for each row of data, and it
cannot contain null values. The primary key is either an existing table column or a
column that is explicitly initiated by the database according to a defined sequence.
