This document outlines a study protocol to evaluate the hold time of sterilized garments after sterilization using microbiological testing. Sterilized garment samples will be collected at regular intervals up to 120 hours after sterilization and tested for microbial growth. No growth is allowed for the samples to pass the acceptance criteria. The objective is to establish a hold time for sterilized garments based on the results and lack of microbial proliferation over the study period. Responsibilities of quality assurance and quality control personnel are defined. Standard operating procedures for sterilization and garment storage will be followed.
