Fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas are formed from the remains of ancient organisms subjected to heat and pressure over millions of years. Coal forms from decomposed plant matter and its formation progresses through peat, lignite, and coal stages. Oil forms from decomposed plant and animal remains that fall to the ocean floor. Natural gas forms from the remains of decayed organisms under immense underground pressure. These fossil fuels are utilized as energy sources, with coal powering trains and charcoal grills, oil fueling vehicles and machinery, and natural gas fueling appliances. Major oil spills like Exxon Valdez and Deepwater Horizon caused environmental damage.
The document discusses fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas. Coal forms from dead plants buried under water and dirt that undergo heat and pressure over time. Oil forms from the remains of dead animals and plants from long ago. Natural gas forms from the remains of plankton or other small sea organisms. These fossil fuels provide over 85% of energy in the US and are used to power factories and plants, create gasoline and diesel, and for other purposes like propane, antifreeze, and medicine. The document also briefly discusses refineries and two major oil spills: Exxon Valdez and Deepwater Horizon.
Fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas are formed from the remains of ancient organisms. Coal forms from dead plants buried in swamps from the Carboniferous period. Oil forms deep underground as organic material is compressed. Natural gas forms similarly and is used for heating and cooking. Fossil fuels go to refineries to be separated and processed into usable forms like gasoline before distribution. Major oil spills like the Exxon Valdez and Deepwater Horizon damaged ecosystems and local economies through pollution and impacts on tourism.
The document discusses fossil fuels, including their formation, types, and uses. The three main types of fossil fuels are coal, oil, and natural gas. Coal forms from peat deposits over millions of years. Oil forms from the remains of ancient plants and animals. Natural gas forms near oil deposits and is composed primarily of methane. Fossil fuels are used widely as sources of energy, with coal and oil powering power stations and fueling vehicles, and natural gas used commercially and residentially. The document also describes two major oil spill incidents: the Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska in 1989 and the Deepwater Horizon spill in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010.

Humankind is responsible for the massive use of fossil fuels which has changed the atmosphere and temperature of the planet. Toxins and plastic are an accumulating problem of the oceans, land and air, while technology is becoming our second if not our first nature
The document discusses staying human in emerging technology. It notes that the impact of bad design decisions can slow adoption of new technology. It emphasizes that you are not the user, your certainties are assumptions, and most of what you think you know is not useful. The answers discovered today will likely be wrong tomorrow. It recommends thinking negatively, knowing nothing, talking to humans, building something tangible, and testing everything.
Humankind is responsible for the massive USE of fossil fuels which has changed the atmosphere and temperature of the planet. Toxins and plastic are an accumulating problem of the oceans, land and air, while technology is becoming our second if not OUR first nature. Discuss.
Fossil fuels, toxins, and technology impact modern life. Fossil fuels are non-renewable remains of ancient organisms that are formed over millions of years underground. While crucial to development, their use contributes to issues like pollution and climate change. Toxins in everyday products also endanger health and environment. Technology plays an integral but complex role, enhancing lives but potentially isolating users and straining resources. Managing these elements sustainably requires individual responsibility as well as coordinated global action.

όσο το δυνατόν μεγαλύτερη κατανάλωση ενέργειας;

8. Τι είναι η ΕΝΕΡΓΕΙΑ;
1TV→2A
1Boeing 747→1,6 εκατ.A
9. Πόσο κοστίζει η ΕΝΕΡΓΕΙΑ;
Υπάρχει μήπως κάποιο κρυφό κόστος και ποιο είναι;
ΕΝΕΡΓΕΙΑΣ;
ΠΟΙΟΤΗΤΑ ΖΩΗΣ;
1 Α = 2 Ε = 10 Κ = 20 Ι =30 Αφ.
ΠΟΙΟΤΗΤΑ ΖΩΗΣ;
16. Μήπως η λύση βρίσκεται στην Πυρηνική ενέργεια;
