Myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart muscle that is usually caused by a viral infection. It occurs when viruses or other pathogens infect and damage heart muscle cells. This can weaken the heart and lead to complications like heart failure, abnormal heart rhythms, or sudden cardiac death. Myocarditis is rare, affecting fewer than 1 million people per year in India. It most commonly occurs in young adults and is usually caused by viruses like coxsackievirus. Symptoms can include chest pain, difficulty breathing, and fatigue. Diagnosis involves blood tests, electrocardiograms, and cardiac imaging. Treatment focuses on relieving symptoms and may include medications, corticosteroids, or even a heart transplant in severe cases

Rheumatic fever may cause a temporary nervous system disorder. Nowadays it’s known as chorea, or Sydenham’s chorea. This is often a nervous disorder by rapid, jerky, involuntary movements of the body occurring primarily in childhood or during pregnancy and is closely related to rheumatic fever.
Cardiomyopathy
Definition
Abnormal structure or function of the myocardium.
Newer definitions require it to be unexplained by ischaemic, hypertensive, or valvular disease, with the term limited to myocardial diseases with known genetic, morphological, and/or functional characteristics.
It often leads to heart failure, and in rarer cases, sudden cardiac death.
Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM)
Pathophysiology and epidemiology
Commonest cardiomyopathy. Exact prevalence unclear but probably more than 1/500. Can present at any age.
Features:
Dilated chambers.
Systolic dysfunction.
↓Cardiac output.
Causes:
Idiopathic
Familial, 2/3 of which are autosomal dominant.
Cardiovascular: ischaemia, HTN, valve disease. See 'Definition' above about why this isn't strictly speaking 'cardiomyopathy'.
Myocarditis: viral, Chagas disease.
Alcohol
Pregnancy: Peripartum cardiomyopathy.
Stress: Takotsubo cardiomyopathy.
Tachycardia: 'tachymyopathy', usually in chronic SVT such as atrial flutter or AF.
Multi-system disease: thyrotoxicosis, sarcoidosis, haemochromatosis.
Here I have attached a Rheumatic heart disease ppt which may give appropriate information about that disease condition and also it may coverd nursing care Regarding above mentioned topic.

Heart Diseases in Men and Women are the number 1 cause of death in United States. 1 out of 4 deaths in U.S are caused by Heart Diseases. But this can be controlled or avoided if proper medical attention were given at the right time. In some cases, various symptoms are seen prior to serious heart issues, which could be treated or controlled by getting medical attention from a doctor.
Infective endocarditis is an infection of the valves and endothelial surface of the heart. Endocarditis usually develops in people with cardiac structural defects (eg, valve disorders).
The inflammation of the heart muscles, such as myocarditis, the membrane sac which surrounds the heart called as pericarditis, and the inner lining of the heart or the myocardium, heart muscle as endocarditis are known as the inflammatory heart diseases.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

2. INTRODUCTION
Myocarditis is a very rare disorder. Most of the time it is
caused by an viral infection that reaches the heart.
When we have an infection our immune system produces
special cells to fight off the disease . If the infection affect the
heart, the disease fighting cells affect the heart which can
result in weakening of cardiac heart muscles with swelling.
3. DEFENITION
Myo means muscle ,car refers to heart and ditis
refers to the inflammation.
MAROCARDITIS is the inflammation of the middle
layer of the heart.
4. INCIDENCE
In United States most cases of myocarditis is due to
viral infection.`
Fewer than 1 million cases per year in India
5. AGES AFFECTED
Babies (0 – 2 years ) VERY RARE
Toddlers(3-5 years) VERY RARE
Children (6-13 years) RARE
Teenagers(14-18years) RARE
Young adults (19-40years) RARE
Adults(41-60years) RARE
Seniors(60+ years): RARE
6. RISK FACTOR
Pregnant women
Children
Immunocompromised patient
vitamin E deficiency
7. CAUSES
Viral infection – coxsackie A and B
Tripanosoma cruzi
Trichinella
Lyme disease – borrelia burgdorferi
Giant cell
Drug associated
Polymyosistis
8. CLINICLAL MANIFESTATION
Rapid abnormal heart rhythm
Shortness of breath
Fluid retention with swelling of your ankles and legs.
Other symptoms due to viral infection such as a headache , body
aches , joint pain , fever….
IN CHILDREN
Fever
Fainting
Rapid breathing
Arrhythmias
18. NURSING DIAGNOSIS
Pain related to inflammation of the myocardium as evidenced
by assessment with the pain scale.
Ineffective breathing pattern related to imbalance oxygen
supply and demand as evidence by fatigue and restlessness.
Decrease in cardiac output related to degeneration of heart
muscles , deceased in contractibility of the ventricles .
Anxiety related to health problem issues as evidenced by facial
expression.
Deficit knowledge about disease condition as evidenced by
inappropriate verbalization about the treatment
