5. Project Details
The project was done for Modification of Die Design for improving the productivity of an
automobile Rubber Component. The name of the component is bellow used in air brake Booster
assembly in automobiles.
A modification has been proposed in the process of manufacturing of bellows by an
alternate process and the existing die design by using Solid works & Pro E software tools.
Finally it is concluded that this approach not only reduces the defects but also increases the
overall quality of the product and productivity of the company.
Training
Ventura Engineers are the manufacturers of Gear Box casing. For this they are using CNC
milling machine. During my stay, we were trained Production Planning and Scheduling and the
FANUC codes. During manufacturing Jigs and Fixtures were produced as prerequisites.
This guides the tool during the operation. Also during the training we were trained to check the
Dispatch list.
