 T&R {I} Limited is one of leading transformer manufacturing company in India.
 T&R {I} Limited plant was setup at Ahmedabad ,Gujrat.
 The capability to develop world class power, distribution, furnace and specialty
transformers is credited to the creation of a world class infrastructure at three
plants around the city of Ahmedabad.
 Listed in Forbs Asia’s 200 Best under a Billion – September 2010
 It manufacture Power Transformer - Upto 1000 MVA; 1200 kV class

3. “TRANSFORMER”
Working Principle of Transformer:-
The transformer working depends upon Faraday’s electromagnetic induction law. The mutual induction
phenomenon between two or more winding is responsible for power transformation.
According to Faraday’s laws, “The Rate of change of flux linkage with respect to time is directly proportional to
the EMF induced in a conductor or coil”.

L.V. Windings are normally placed near core over insulating cylinder and oil ducts. HV
Windings are assembled co-axially placed with respect to LV.
4. Tapping Device Assembly :-
Generally Taps are provided on HV Windings for HV Variation or LV Variation as
specified by customer. These are brought up to a gang operated switch, suitable for
external manual operation and can be locked in any desired position to avoid
unauthorized operation.

All the Transformers are supplied with first filling of oil conforming to IS 335. Before
filling, oil is heated, filtered and vacuum treated in filter machine to remove any foreign
particles, moisture and air.
