1. Script
INT-Scene 1-main characters street.
We see the main characters street from looking down the narrow road, and we titles appear
(upbeat music)
We then use a panning shot looking at the house on the side of the main characters street.
After we then see the main characters house
Zooming into a cutaway of the main characters window (Amy) (still playing upbeat music)
ENT-Scene 2- main characters bedroom.
Looking into Amy’s room from the window point of view
We see Amy sleeping.
The upbeat music stops and immediately we hear the sound of the loud drumming alarm
clock. The alarm reads ‘7:01’. Titles appear.
The alarm clock drops.
Amy goes out to reach it, but finds difficulty as she is still half asleep.
Amy slips heavily out of bed.
We see another angle of Amy falling out of her bed.
Amy drop’s out and is lifeless.
We see her trying to get up, and struggling, and she grunts and panting for breathe as she has
used as much energy as she has to try and get up.
She travels to the mirror to look at her lifeless morning face
She slaps her face
And says ‘gorgeous’ mocking herself
(Upbeat tune starts)
She skips to her wardrobe
Opens the last cupboard and decides on what to wear
She then throws out the clothes she thinks are ‘disgusting’
She makes a pile on the floor and leaves it (upbeat music continues)
She then walks out of her room and makes her way to the bathroom.
Scene 4
2. Amy looks in the mirror and then grabs her toothbrush and paste.
And she applies the toothpaste on her teeth, which we see on a side view shot.
She then bends down to spit in the sink, and makes coughing and spiting noises, which are
slightly exaggerated.
She wipes her mouth with a towel. (Exits the bathroom) (Upbeat tune is still playing)
Amy then goes to the room and looking at the sight of the messy clothes piled on the floor.
She ‘huffs’, making a sound of minor frustration.
She picks up an unfashionable top and skirt.
Starts putting the clothes on.
Amy travels to look in the mirror.
Amy put on the glasses (upbeat tune slowly fades away)
We see a pile of vandalised magazines, and titles appear.
Amy gets a pen and starts scratching out the faces of the stylish models, showing her
jealously.
(She makes sounds of disgust.)
Titles appear.
And then the shot ends with Amy closing the magazine. And the name of the movie is on the
front cover.
