2. INT. PUBLIC BATHROOM. DAY.
Tom is a middle aged man and his hair is very neat and has a
perfectly tailored suit on. He is staring at his reflection
in the mirror.
A soulless, slightly dirty office building bathroom with
urinals and stalls lining the wall.
As he is still staring in the mirror he turns on the tap and
the looks down and bends over the sink and splashes water in
his face. He then turns off the tap.
Tom looks at himself with a wet face. He reaches over and
grabs the paper towels without looking and wipes his face.
He looks at himself one last time, readjusts his tie, sighs
loudly, and nods to himself.
You can hear the sound of water splashing his face and a
dripping tap from one of the other sinks.
Mark enters the bathroom at this point. Mark is also a
middle aged man who is slightly larger than Tom and he is
wearing glasses. He looks over at Tom sighs and starts
walking over to him. Once he reaches Tom he smiles and gives
him a look of encouragement.
MARK
Come on Tom it’s time to go to the
meeting you’ll do fine.
Mark’s voice echoes inside the bathroom.
Mark pats Tom on the back reassuringly and picks up Tom’s
briefcase from the floor and hands it to Tom. Tom grabs the
suitcase and walks past Mark who is holding the door open
for him.
INT. HALLWAY. DAY
Mark follows Tom out of the bathroom and walks down the
hallway. Tom reaches the door to the meeting room and looks
back at Mark. Mark gives Tom a reassuring nod and a thumbs
up. Tom turns around and opens the door.
INT. TOM’S DESK. DAY.
On Tom’s desk is an empty brown cardboard box sitting on his
very neat desk. Tom walks over over to his desk and sees the
box. He looks inside the box to see if anything is in it and
it’s empty. He looks around his desk and notices he has a

voice mail on his phone. He picks up the phone and listens
to it.
SARAH
Hi Tom, it’s Sarah. You need to
pack up your desk and see Nicholas
first thing Monday morning.
Tom takes a minute to process what he has just heard when
Mark walks up. Mark can immediately tell that Tom is upset.
MARK
What’s wrong?
Tom doesn’t respond and just hands the phone to Mark and
replays the message. As Mark is listening to the voice mail
Tom starts putting his belongings into the box.
MARK
This doesn’t mean you’re being
fired though.
Tom just gives Mark a look of disbelief.
MARK
How about after work we go for a
drink? It’ll be on me.
Tom nods and continues packing. Mark walks off.
EXT. PARK BENCH. NIGHT.
Mark and Tom are sitting on a park bench surrounded by
multiple empty bottles of alcohol. They are swaying and
slurring their speech.
TOM AND MARK
*improv dialogue about the boss and
how much they dislike him*
MARK
Come on get up! We’re getting out
of here. We’re not spending the
night like this.
TOM
Where are we going to go?
MARK
Just trust me.
4. 3.
EXT. TESCO’S PARKING LOT. NIGHT.
Tom is sitting on the curb waiting for Mark to leave the
store. Tom looks up as Mark exits holding a bag. Tom stands
up still confused.
EXT. BOSS’ HOUSE. NIGHT.
Tom and Mark end up outside the boss’ house.
TOM
Isn’t this our boss’ house?
MARK
Yep.
Tom just looks at Mark. Mark opens the Tesco bag pulls out a
carton of eggs. He opens the carton and hands one to Tom.
Tom is hesitant.
MARK
Well go on. If you are being fired
don’t you want to go out like this?
Tom nods and throws the first egg. At first he is unsure of
himself and misses. He then gets more confident and throws
all of them. They hit the boss’ car, house, and windows.
The lights switch on the front porch. Mark and Tom look at
each other and run away.
INT. TOM’S HOUSE. DAY.
Tom’s phone changes from 6:59 to 7:00 and his alarm goes
off. He reaches out and switches it off. Tom then turns over
and goes back to sleep. Mark calls Tom at 8. Tom rolls over
and groggily answers it.
MARK
Where are you? You’re late for your
meeting.
TOM
What are you talking about?
Tom looks down at his phone to see that he’s late for work.
He curses and throws his phone back onto the bed. He throws
his covers off and races to the bathroom. He shoves the
toothbrush in his mouth and runs back into his room. His
room is extremely messy now with dirty plates all over the
place and clothes everywhere. He’s been drinking all

weekend. He throws on the suit he was wearing from Friday.
He grabs his phone from the bed, tosses his toothbrush down
and is putting on his shoes as he leaves his flat.
Tom hasn’t shaved since Friday morning and he now has a lot
of scruff and has bags under his eyes. It’s obvious he is
very hung over.
INT. ELEVATOR. DAY.
Tom races into the elevator out of breath and quickly
presses the top floor. Elevator music plays in the
background and you can see how nervous Tom looks. The
elevator finally reaches the top floor and the doors open.
INT. RECEPTIONIST OFFICE. DAY.
Tom walks up to the receptionist who tells him to sit down.
Tom sits on one of the couches to the side. He is constantly
tapping his foot and messing with his fingers. You can see
how nervous he is. The receptionist calls for Tom. Tom’s
head snaps up and he stands up and walks to the door.
