Ellen: It’s so good to see you (.)I haven’t seen you
Emily: It’s so good to see you
Ellen: Since that that baby has arrived
Emily: Since I had that huge lump
Ellen: Yes
Emily: Yes
Ellen: And and you look amazing
Emily: Thank you
Ellen: I’m surprised coz she’s only three months old is she
Emily: She just turned three months (.) yeah
Ellen: Hazel
Emily: Hazel
Ellen: Now and was Hazel something you both er knew right away that was gonna be the name
Emily: I mean I find it really stressful naming a human being (.) you know
Ellen: Yes
Emily: Erm so we went through a few different ones and then John found it and (.) we both really
like old lady names so
Ellen: Mmmm(.) and how is she (.) I saw John sent me a (.) a text

Ellen: Come on
Emily: (Laughs) she’s just stinking cute
Ellen: Ahh
Emily: She’s so cute (.) she came out like ready for a photoshoot (.) she was just perfect (.) and I
remember when we were in the we were in the recovery (.) room (.) you know (.) afterwards and
this nurse came in her name was Maybel (.) another great old lady name (.) she had the most
fantastic crazy weave (1.0) and she said (1.0) damn (.)yo baby is so cute (.) and I went oh thank you
and she went damn she’s awesome she’s so cute (.) and I went Maybel I think you say that to

2. everyone and she went no I don’t she went (.)(Laughs) she went she went when I know a baby ugly

Emily: (laughs) I was like those poor parents must know
Ellen: Now they know
Emily: They’re like oh well I know what that means
Ellen: Rights (.) And but John texted me that picture of he was playing with her and she was
punching him in the face and
Emily: (laughs)
Ellen: And it was so adorable (.) he must be the greatest dad
Emily: John does all (.) he’s the greatest dad (.) he is just (.) she loves him (.) just loves him (.) he’s
like the burp king he can get a beer burp out of this kid like it even surprises her you can tell
Ellen: (Laughs)
Emily: He burps her and she’s like (impression of the baby burping) like she’s kinda taken back by it
Ellen: Right which is very important to do
Emily: It’s an underrated skill
Ellen: Yeah
Emily: Yep
Ellen: But well and and it well yes(.) to burp and to to get the burp
Emily: (Laughs)
Ellen: That’s the skill I guess
Emily: Exactly to get the burp yeah
Ellen: Well that’s great well congratulations on that
Emily: Thank you so much
Ellen: And this movie is a(.) we were talking about your training that you went through because the
this scene you don’t see it but you’re wearing like how how much did that weigh what you’re
wearing most of the time
Emily: we had these like um (.)exo suits which were these incredibly heavy armour suits and mine
weighed about 85 pounds

3. Emily: Yeah (.) and the first time I put it on I just (.) I cried actually
Ellen: (laughs)
Emily: and I remember Tom was there you know (.) Tom Cruise had come in to see how the exo suit
fitting had went coz he’d had his and he knew how heavy they were (1.0) and I’m not really a crier
but I felt completely overwhelmed that I was gonna have five months of this so I put it on and he
went how you doin you alright and I went hmm (.) hmm (.) yep (.) and he went you okay and I was
like yeah it’s just like you know its just like its just really heavy
Ellen: (laughs)
Emily: (laughs) and it got worse and I went (.) I wasn’t really expecting it to be this heavy like that
Ellen: (laughs)
Emily: And he goes and he did the best thing for me which is not to (.) you know give me a hug (.) he
just went come on stop being such a wus and I was like ok good (laughs) you know (laughs) and we
were fine after that (.) I had my brief meltdown and then I was ok
Ellen: But you looked amazing in that clip we
just showed
Emily: thank you
Ellen: But erm(.) what were you doing what did you do to train
Emily: I did all kinds of stuff I did erm(.) a lot of stuff on the track like sprint training (.) gymnastics (.)
yoga(.) I learned this martial art called Krav Maga which is this Israeli martial art which is pretty
lethal you can just annihilate somebody with any part of your body that you have going for you
Ellen: That’s good to know
Emily: Yeah it’s a good thing to know you know
Ellen: Yeah
Emily: Elbows knees
Ellen: Do you know did you coz you look amazing (.)did you do that to get back into shape
because it’s only been three months
Emily: No (1.0) I mean (.) I (.)erm(starts to laugh) I mean I don’t know if other mothers had this but I
found breastfeeding to be the thing
