                       CALCULATED
   BMI IS THE RATION OF WEIGHT TO HEIGHT
   IT IS USED AS A GUIDE TO DETERMINE
    APPROPRIATE BODY WEIGHT
   BMI HAS LIMITATIONS
   APPROPRIATE BODY WEIGHT FOR ANY
    INDIVIDUAL INCLUDES MANY FACTORS
   MEASURE YOUR HEIGHT IN INCHES
   MEASURE YOUR WEIGHT IN LBS
   To calculate your BMI multiply your weight by
    703 and divide that number by your height in
    inches, squared the result is the BMI
Example: weigh=154lbs height = 5’9’ tall or
 (69”)
         (154 X 703)/(69 X69)= 22.73
   A BMI between 20 and 24 is considered
    normal
   A BMI under 20 indicates that you are
    underweight
   A BMI over 24 indicates you are over weight
   A BMI over 30 indicates that you are obese

             But Wait!!!!!!!
   Muscle is heavier than fat. Using just a bit of
    elementary math we can determine that the
    ratio of weight to height will be higher for
    athletes and those who have a very low
    percentage of body fat .
   You also don’t need a calculator to tell you if
    you are extremely over or under weight a
    mirror will do that.
   Blood Pressure Reading
   General physical condition
   How is you weight distributed (too much
    around your middle??)
   Age
   Are YOU happy with your weight???!!!!
