The TCOL has learned that student learning levels are low and bridge programs are insufficient. They plan to continue their work on mathematics and Kannada while strengthening school infrastructure and teacher learning.

ITfC presentation at DSERT meeting of NGOs - November 3 2014
This document summarizes discussions from a meeting of NGOs focused on using information technology to strengthen teacher education in India. Idonesia Thailand Consortium on Agriculture and Fishery

STEM summit at CIET -Experiences from Karnataka
Teachers in Karnataka government high schools formed collaborative communities of practice to improve student engagement, build teacher capacity, and leverage local resources. The partnership between DSERT and ITfC embedded these communities on a large scale within the school system, with teachers learning new teaching methods, students becoming actively involved in their science education, and schools creating their own educational resources. Evaluations found that communities of practice, open technologies, and integration into teacher training programs were effective ways to improve education on a large scale.

Work done so far ● Mathematics – Block level workshops - 4 workshops conducted so far – School level work in Domlur and Immadahalli – Resources for foundation learning + class X ● Kannada, Science, Social Science – Block level workshops – School level work in Domlur and Immadahalli – Begur, Agara will begin Jan 2015 – Resources for foundation learning ● ICT lab – All schools have minimum 5 working computers – Students learning in Immadahalli lab, will begin in Begur ● All schools have own website for sharing information, plans and achievements
