 It is important to choose the correct institution because the
audience can judge a film within the institution for example
if the audience see “lionsgate” they will automatically know
that the film will have high quality and is likely to be a horror
movie. Therefore, the type of institution affects the amount
of viewers a movie gets. For example if the distribution is
worldwide the movie will get more viewers than a
distribution that only has viewers in one particular country.

 Lionsgate is a Canadian-American film
production/distribution studio and a division of Lions Gate
Entertainment. It is the largest and most successful mini-
major film studio in North America. It focuses on foreign and
independent films and has distributed various commercially
successful film series, including The Twilight Saga, The
Hunger Games, The Divergent Series, and The Expendables.

5. Why have we chosen LionsGate?
 As a group we believe that lionsgate is appropriate for our film distribution
because the films that lionsgate has produced includes some similarities
with the thriller my group has produced for example having blood as our
main focus and messing around with the audiences minds such as plot
twister. As a group we thought that The Huger Games and Twilight had a
huge impact on us. Therefore when we watched Twilight the plot twist had a
huge impact on us for example it made us understand the story line in more
detail because with the plot twist it went back to the important scenes that
made the story line clear. As a group we also included a huge amount of
blood because blood was the main focus in our thriller movie and it
described our character as a evil person because blood was all over the
place. This would make the audience wonder how the blood went onto the
walls and floor. This shall make the audience feel disturbed and have hatred
towards the antagonist just the way The hunger Games made us feel every
time we saw blood.

 I believe as a group we made the right decision to choose
lionsgate. We chose lionsgate because our thriller movie is
more suitable for lionsgate. Our thriller has many similarities
with the movies lionsgate is distributed to for example The
Hunger Games includes many blood and Twilight has a plot
twist and many disturbing crimes. Therefore, lionesgate is a
distribution that is known for good quality horror/thriller movies
this will have a positive impact on our thriller because before
the audience watch the thriller they will automatically know
what genre and what quality the movie will be.
