HATHLETES is a magazine for Hertfordshire that aims to promote fitness and healthy living. The magazine will provide instructions for sports and activities, a weekly meal plan, and interviews with people who lost weight through dedication. It targets those aged 16 to 45, especially those who are overweight or wanting to get in shape. Each issue will cost between £5,000-10,000 to produce and will include articles, diagrams, photos and be available every two weeks from local stores. The magazine hopes to improve health in Hertfordshire where 21.5% of adults are obese by advertising online and on television to reach its target audience.
2. What is “HATHLETES”
"HATHLETES" is combination of "Hertfordshire" and "Athletics" put together as the
magazine will be about Hertfordshire so people can have the idea on where and
what the magazine is all about. The magazine is a friendly athletics magazine
which is meant for people from teenagers to adults as they would be the one who
would want to become fit and healthy they can get explore the magazine while
they get dragged into the magazine seeing how interesting it is getting healthy.
3. What is the goal?
The Min goals for HATHLETES and its purpose is to try keep fit and healthy and
our magazine could benefit them giving them instructions on what sports are the
most helpful.
In Hertfordshire 21.5% of adult's are obese and 62% of that are either overweight
or obese and we want to change that by them to see our magazine and trying to
help them lose weight and HATHLETES can help achieve the goal.
4. What does HATHLETES have to offer?
HATHLETES consists of a list of sports and instructions on activities that you will be
able to do to get you fit and healthy. The magazine will also have its own diet for
the whole week which is recommended to you. The magazine will also have an
interview from someone who was also overweight and from hard work and
dedication they were able to lose weight by following some of the instruction's
that we have to give.
5. Who are the target audience
The target audience (16-45) will be aimed for teenagers to older people if they are
trying to become fit and healthy and looking to do some sports. We would like to
start the young audience to show them how important it is then we would also try
to focus on people who are overweight/ . That would be available in the corner
store or your local store
6. What will the magazine have
The magazine will also have a little leaflet inside the magazine which will have
some diagrams and information on what kind of exercise that you can do for a
starter. You will be able to find the magazine in one of the pages in a pocket. This
would be a good idea to the magazine as it won't just be words in describing the
exercise but will also contain some picture which could be easier for the clients
7. Budget
The cost of the magazine will cost around £15,000 to £20,000 per month.
It will come every two weeks and each will cost about £5,000 to £10,000.
This will also include the cost of the writers etc. and the rest will go to
copy editors, illustrators, photographers and editors.
8. How will we be promoting it
The magazine will be advertised online and TV. The reason for this is that our
target audience will be around teenagers and young adults so by researching we
could see that they use the internet and watch TV the most so this is where we
would get most of our audience from and reaching out to them. This can also lead
to us bringing in more customers.
