The Humanity Awareness Initiative
Oxford 2018:
28 people gathered from
five continents and 10
nations to spend four days
together discussing this
question.
What would it look like if a nation was operating
from the worldview of Humanity Awareness?
ORIGINS
THE EVOLUTION OF
WORLDVIEWS
Since the arrival of Homo sapiens
on the evolutionary scene 200,000
years ago, six worldviews have
emerged. Each worldview was
precipitated by changes in human
living conditions that triggered
new stages of collective human
psychological development.
The worldview of Humanity Awareness, which is now
emerging, represents the seventh worldview - a collective
shift from the Individuating Stage of Personal Development
to the Self-Actualizing Stage of Personal Development.
The survival of our species is dependent on the adoption of this worldview.

The central key idea in the Humanity Awareness
Initiative is to accelerate the growth of human
awareness and societal wellbeing through a
global training and education initiative.

The emergence of new
worldviews can usually be
traced back to a triggering
event – a tipping point –
that occurred decades or
centuries earlier.
The triggering event throws
into relief the limitations of
the dominant worldview,
thereby precipitating a shift
in conscious awareness
that challenges the status
quo and leads to the
emergence of a new stage
or substage of personal
development and a new

In Humanity Awareness, we recognize that we are all
members of the human race – we identify with humanity.
There are no ethnic, religious, or gender divisions in Humanity
Awareness. The Earth is our collective home.
We are transnational and we are
global.
In addition to improving social welfare,
Humanity Awareness also focuses on psychological
welfare.
Whereas social welfare in People Awareness solved the
problems associated with meeting people’s deficiency needs,
psychological welfare in Humanity Awareness will solve the
problems associated with meeting people’s growth needs.
From being at the very
bottom of the European
economy in 1860, the Nordic
nations climbed to the top in
the 1930s and have remained
prosperous and progressive
ever since.
HAS ANY THING LIKE
THIS
BEEN DONE BEFORE?
YES!
The Nordic population needed to
develop a sense of collective
identity at the level of the nation –
they needed moral, emotional and
cognitive development. They
needed to individuate – the shift
from Socialized Mind to Self-
Authoring Mind.
The leaders wanted the
population to ‘author’ their
own lives and take part in
the “authoring” of a new
society.

In the worldview of Humanity
Awareness, the focus of the justice
system will be on restoring people to
wholeness. All those who commit
crimes will be supported in their
psychological rehabilitation. Every
prisoner will be assigned a
mentor/coach – someone they can turn
to for support as they attempt to
individuate and self-actualize.

THE ARTS
The Arts holds the key to the flourishing
of Humanity Awareness, because it is
the key to self-expression. The Arts
provide an avenue for us to express our
unique gifts and talents in service to the

to express their natural skills and
talents.

The key to gender relations in the
worldview of Humanity Awareness is
not external equality (that is, what we
learned in People Awareness),
but internal balance – each gender
becoming whole through the integration
of female energies of Yin in the male,
and the integration of male energies of

In the worldview of Humanity
Awareness, we will learn to steward the
Earth and conserve its natural resources.
We will make sure all our plans take

    GETTING INVOLVED The roleof the HAI Advocate is to spread the word about the Humanity Awareness worldview and the HAI Initiative. HAI ADVOCATE HAI AMBASSADOR HAI CONSULTANT TRAINER COACH HAI FINANCIAL SPONSOR The role of an HAI Ambassador is to enlist Advocates and Sponsors by carrying out face-to- face and online training programs on the HAI Vision and Core Principles. The role of the HAI Consultant, Trainer or Coach is to provide education and training programs for the different audience groups. The role of a HAI Sponsor is to raise funds to implement the Humanity Awareness Initiative either at a global level or in a specific country.
