The document investigates the use of air cooled blast furnace slag (ACBFS) as a partial replacement for natural fine aggregate in concrete, addressing both environmental concerns and material efficiency in construction. Five concrete mixes were tested for compressive, tensile, and flexural strength with varying percentages of ACBFS, showing that optimal replacement levels can enhance certain mechanical properties of concrete. The study highlights economic and sustainability benefits associated with utilizing ACBFS in concrete production.
