What is
Climate Change?
The phenomena of the physical world
collectively, including plants, animals, the
landscape, and other features and products
of the earth, as opposed to humans or
human creations.

Environment
•We live in the environment and use
resources like air, land, and water to
meet our needs.
• Includes all living and non-living
objects.
•Development meets the needs of the
people. Meeting these ever-growing
needs have pressure on the
environment.
Environmental
Awareness
• When the pressure exceeds the
carrying capacity of the environment
to repair or repair itself, it creates a
serious problem of environmental
degradation, bringing the possibility
of losing that resource forever.
• Therefore, there is a need for
environmental education
Sustainable Development
16 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
• It is development that meets
the needs of the present
without compromising the
ability of future generations to
meet their own needs .
Environmental Degradati
• It is a process through which the
natural environment is compromised in
some way, reducing biological
diversity and the general health of the
environment.
Causes of Environmental Degra
• Human disturbance is a measure
of the vulnerability of aquatic
resources to a variety of harmful
human activities.
•Deforestation is the purposeful
clearing of forested land.
Candelaria- Santa Cruz Zambales

Causes of Environmental Degra
•Overpopulation is the concept of a
human population becoming too
large to be sustained by its
environment or resources in long
term.
•Poverty is about not having
enough money to meet basic needs
including food, clothing and shelter.
Causes of Environmental Degra
• Famine or the extreme lack of
food and other basic needs where
starvation, death, and destitution
are malnourished.
• Air pollution is caused by release
of particulates, biological molecules
or harmful gases into the
atmosphere.
Causes of Environmental Degra
•Water pollution occurs by the
contamination of water bodies like
lakes, rivers, and oceans.
•Extreme Weather events include
unexpected, unusual, severe, or
unseasonal weather.
• One of the affected area of this
extreme weather is the state of
Texas in USA.
Dinasaur Valley, Texas USA.

Renewable Alternative Energy Re
• Wind power or wind energy is mostly
the use of wind turbines to generate
electricity.
• Solar energy is the radiant light and
heat from the sun that is harnessed
using a range of technologies.
Bangui,
Ilocos
Norte
Negros
Occidental
Renewable Alternative Energy Re
• Hydro energy, also known as water
power, is the use of falling or fast-
running water to produce electricity or
to power machines.
•Biomass energy is energy generated or
produces by living or once-living
organisms.
Bukidnon
Renewable Alternative Energy Re
•Geothermal energy is the thermal
energy that was being harnessed
from the natural heat in the Erath’s
crust.
•Tidal energy is a form of power
produced by the natural rise and fall of
tides caused by gravitational interaction
between Earth, the sun, and the moon.
