I ve had three life experiences I feel have influenced my academic goals for the better. The first one
was when I was 18 years old. I had a promising future ahead of me, but I was young and naïve.
Getting married was more important than going to college. Before I knew it, we had three children
under the age of four years old. I was a busy, stay at home mom, and I absolutely loved it. I valued the
closeness I had with my kids. I dabbled a bit in home businesses to bring in extra money.
Sales sparked my interests and talents. My marriage was crumbling and I knew I needed a backup
plan, so I tried to pursue school but my husband never allowed it. I lived in a controlled environment,
with no room for personal growth.
The kids and I experienced verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. My marriage lasted 15 years before
it came to an end. In 2010, I found myself with three kids, no house, no job, no education, and money.
I was starting completely over with nothing but a high school diploma. I was kicking myself for not
going to college when I was eighteen. Having someone control my life to the point that you became
completely dependent on them was eye opening. This experience taught me a lot, but it also fueled my

Open pit mining is the predominant method used to extract copper ores and it takes place on the

oil (ANFO type explosive) is used to blast the rock to break it apart. Pneumatic or hydraulic impact

Since I was a kid I have been fascinated by the imaginary world where there are magic, mythical
creatures and the freedom of having power to do what you want. My preference was fading until the
movie Beautiful Creatures, a film adaptation for the first novel in the series The Caster Chronicles by
Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. When it hit the theater, I watched it and decided to read the next
novel in the series called Beautiful Darkness .
Published by Little, Brown on October 12, 2010, Beautiful Darkness is a 528 page young adult fantasy
and romance novel. The story continued with the recovering of two main characters, Ethan Wate, a

When asked about the most vital part of the body, people generally answer either the brain or the
heart. After all, the brain decides and the heart pumps the blood. However, the structure that always
goes unnoticed is the backbone. Yet, the backbone lets the brain carry out actions through the
intertwined spinal cord and helps filter blood cells for the heart to pump blood. In short, the backbone
synchronizes the body s functions, without which everything will be in chaos. The bass drum also
plays a similar role in a band. Sure, the shift between crescendo and decrescendo of the tenor
saxophone or the lively tune of flute and clarinet is the most noticeable part of a concert band, but the
bass drum is what keeps everything disciplined. If a bass drum beat is even a thousandth of a second
faster or slower than the desired tempo, the whole song ultimately breakdowns like the chain reaction.

role of tradition in Methodist theological thinking is another important aspect of the Quadrilateral .
Ted Campbell writes, Methodism, Wesley claimed, was in continuity with the religion of the Bible, the
religion of the primitive Church, [and] the religion of the Church of England . John Wesley was trying
to illustrate that the tradition and history of the Church is vital to the understanding of our theology.

Opposition to gay marriage has increased since the summer and a narrow majority of Americans also
oppose allowing gays and lesbians to enter legal agreements that fall short of marriage. Moreover,
despite the overall rise in tolerance toward gays since the 1980s, many Americans remain highly
critical of homosexuals and religious belief is a major factor in these attitudes.
A 55% majority believes it is a sin to engage in homosexual behavior, and that view is much more
prevalent among those who have a high level of religious commitment (76%). About half of all
Americans have an unfavorable opinion of gay men (50%) and lesbians (48%), but highly religious

But there is evidence that this issue could become problematic for the Democratic presidential
nominee. Voters who support President Bush are largely of one mind on this issue: More than three
quarters (78%) of voters who favor the president s reelection in 2004 oppose gay marriage; more than
half (53%) strongly oppose the idea. But voters who prefer to see a Democrat elected in 2004 are
divided 46% favor gay marriage, 48% oppose. A substantial minority of these Democratic leaning
voters strongly oppose gay marriage (25%).
The survey also shows that Americans remain deeply divided over the essential cause and nature of
