This document discusses the challenges GPs face in screening and testing patients for syphilis. Limited time and resources, as well as the complexity of patient cases, make screening difficult. The document proposes several strategies to address these challenges, including using IT tools like CASI systems, enhancing the role of practice nurses, implementing recall systems, and providing ongoing education to GPs.
