An Optimal Iterative Algorithm for Extracting MUCs in a Black-box Constraint ...Philippe Laborie
We present a non-intrusive iterative algorithm for extracting Minimal Unsatisfiable Cores in black-box constraint networks. The problem can be generalized as the one of finding a minimal subset satisfying an upward-closed property P. If performance is measured as the number of infeasibility property checks, we show that the proposed algorithm, ADEL, is optimal both for small and for large MUCs and that it consistently outperforms existing approaches in between those two extremal cases.
IBM ILOG CP Optimizer for Detailed Scheduling Illustrated on Three ProblemsPhilippe Laborie
Since version 2.0, IBM ILOG CP Optimizer provides a new
scheduling language supported by a robust and efficient automatic search. This presentation illustrates both the expressivity of the modelling language and the robustness of the automatic search on three problems recently studied in the scheduling literature. We show that all three problems
can easily be modelled with CP Optimizer in only a few dozen lines (the complete models are provided) and that on average the automatic search outperforms existing problem specific approaches.

A review of cognitive modeling and intelligent tutors. Presentation based on three papers, summarized below.
The base paper reports on an experiment of intelligent tutoring in three urban high schools in Pittsburgh. An intelligent tutor has been made a part of 9th grade algebra, accompanying a new algebra curriculum focused on mathematical analysis of real world situations and the use of computations tools. The 470 students in experimental classes outperformed students in comparison classes by 15% on standardized tests and 100% on tests targeting the PUMP objectives. The first auxiliary paper by Anderson describes the cognitive basis for intelligent tutors, from theory to model-tracing methodology, to issues that arise in implementation. The second auxiliary paper by VanLehn describes the lessons learned in developing and testing a cognitive tutor for physics at the U.S. Naval Academy. In particular, this system was designed to run as part of a course with minimal invasion of curricular design. Interestingly, the intelligent tutors for both algebra and physics, based on different models and designed for different educational contexts, had almost identical results.
It was amazing to see the long history of work on intelligent tutors, the scientific progress and implementation in schools across the country. The cognitive basis for such models is fascinating, tracing students' cognitive states in real time and modeling their knowledge as they learn new material. Yet, interaction with the tutor is simple: the tutor silently observes the students strategy, until the student asks for help or makes a mistake, and provides immediate feedback. This helps increase the quality and speed of learning as well as positively reinforce the joy (rather than the struggle) involved, keeping students motivated and moving in the right direction as they develop their problem-solving skills. However, its clear that there is a lot of work still remaining. Despite having a long history, the number of researchers in this area remains relatively small and the challenges ahead of them are large (including technical and political/social challenges).
Optimization: from mathematical tools to real applicationsPhilippe Laborie
The existence of powerful mathematical optimization engines is a necessary but not a sufficient condition for the pervasion of optimization technologies in the real world. It is illustrated with IBM ILOG optimization technologies and solutions.
Digital Implementation of Artificial Neural Network for Function Approximatio...IOSR Journals
Abstract: The soft computing algorithms are being nowadays used for various multi input multi output complicated non linear control applications. This paper presented the development and implementation of back propagation of multilayer perceptron architecture developed in FPGA using VHDL. The usage of the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) for neural network implementation provides flexibility in programmable systems. For the neural network based instrument prototype in real time application. The conventional specific VLSI neural chip design suffers the limitation in time and cost. With low precision artificial neural network design, FPGA have higher speed and smaller size for real time application than the VLSI design. The challenges are finding an architecture that minimizes the hardware cost, maximizing the performance, accuracy. The goal of this work is to realize the hardware implementation of neural network using FPGA. Digital system architecture is presented using Very High Speed Integrated Circuits Hardware Description Language (VHDL)and is implemented in FPGA chip. MATLAB ANN programming and tools are used for training the ANN. The trained weights are stored in different RAM, and is implemented in FPGA. The design was tested on a FPGA demo board. Keywords- Backpropagation, field programmable gate array (FPGA) hardware implementation, multilayer perceptron, pressure sensor, Xilinx FPGA.
Applications of Artificial Neural Network and Wavelet Transform For Conditio...IJMER
The vibration analysis of rotating machinery indicates of the condition of potential faults such
as unbalance, bent shaft, shaft crack, bearing clearance, rotor rub, misalignment, looseness, oil whirl
and whip and other malfunctions. More than one fault can occur in a rotor. This paper describes the
application of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Wavelet Transform (WT) for the prediction of the
effect of the combined faults of unbalance and bearing clearance on the frequency components of
vibration signature of the rotating machinery. The experimental data of frequency components and
corresponding Root Mean Square (RMS) velocity (amplitude) data are used as inputs to train the ANN,
which consists of a three-layered network. The ANN is trained using an improved multilayer feed forward
back propagation Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. In particular, an overall success rates achieved were
99.78% for unbalance, 99.81% bearing clearance, and 99.45% for the combined faults of unbalance and
bearing clearance. The wavelet transform approach enables instant to instant observation of different
frequency components over the full spectrum. A new technique combining the WT with ANN performs
three general tasks data acquisition, feature extraction and fault identification. This method is tested
successfully for individual and combined faults of unbalance and bearing clearance at a success rate of
99.99%.
It’s no wonder ECM adoption is a struggle for so many organizations. According to a recent survey, 72% of organizations rely on support calls or logged incidents to find problems in their ECM system. Relying on end-users to report issues not only results in a vicious cycle of fire-fighting but also lost productivity and poor user satisfaction. This slideshare discusses:
•The three (3) steps you need to take to get ahead of issues and ensure your end users are NOT doing your QA
•Real-life case studies of how companies improved customer satisfaction and kept their Tier 1 applications running at optimal levels
•Industry statistics that may surprise you
Revealing ECM Industry Statistics:
•72% of organizations rely on support calls or incidents to alert them to system problems
•Systems with 1000+ users create 60-150 support tickets per month
•Only 16% of organizations are able to proactively prevent performance issues for 80% or more performance incidents.
•More than 74% of all business service related issues are reported by the end users.
•End-to-end visibility into application performance is 89% more likely to prevent incidents where IT is not aware of the problem, prior to end-user complaint.
The only way to move from a constant reactive state is to get proactive in the management of your ECM applications. This can be achieved in three steps (Reveille screenshots provided to show each step in action):
1. Test the ECM Platform
•Verify the entire ECM infrastructure (client to application server to database)
•Set thresholds for alerts
•Automate resolution of common issues
Net Benefits
•Kiss “eyes on glass” monitoring goodbye
•Accelerate problem identification & remediation
•Keep applications running & revenue flowing
2. Understand the End-User Experience
•Don’t just rely on tests; measure real end user experience
•Quantify what “slow” means
•Set thresholds for internal alerts
Net Benefits
•Understand usage volumes for capacity planning
•Reduce time recreating issues
•Decrease user complaints
3. Trend, Report, Communicate and Continuously Improve
•Identify and track key performance metrics
•Evaluate KPI trends over time
•Provide detailed reports to ECM team and roll-up reports to LOB and other stakeholders
Net Benefits
•Take the fire hat off and provide strategic recommendations
•Reduce the burden on your application support team; focus on higher value priorities
•Boost team morale with success
Real-life use cases discussed, with results including:
•Reduced trouble tickets by over 50%
•Proactively identified issues prior to end-user discovery/impact
•Eliminated upgrade bottlenecks with KPIs
•Reallocated 2 FTE’s to higher priority work
•Time to resolution decreased for 30 minutes to 10 minutes
•Reveille addressed resource constraint

Delivering healthcare is one of the most complex human activities. In recent decades, major transitions have taken place in diagnostics, pharmaceuticals and treatments resulting in shorter length of stay in healthcare facilities. The current transition to more personalised care and to longer term managed care pathways means that healthcare IT systems are changing direction. But this change may not happen smoothly.

As the biggest industry sector in most European economies, healthcare is already given a big chunk of the gross domestic product (GDP). This portion is expected to become even bigger and have a huge impact on employment, the opportunities to grow businesses and economies in general.
Quality healthcare is one of the most important factors in how individuals perceive their quality of life. In some countries, such as the UK with the National Health Service (NHS), the healthcare delivery organisation is a part of their national identity.

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.
https://seribangash.com/promotors-is-person-conceived-formation-company/
Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder
