Dr. Mark Goulston, a former FBI negotiation trainer, gave a webinar on improving listening skills and getting through to people. He believes becoming a better listener is key to enhancing influence, persuasion, and negotiation abilities. Goulston discussed mirror neurons and how truly listening by putting oneself in another's shoes and making them feel understood can eliminate resistance. He provided tips for effective communication including talking with rather than at others, asking open-ended questions, and using pauses to get people to expand on their perspectives. Goulston also advocated for purposeful agendaless listening to understand others' perspectives without pushing one's own agenda.
Team safety using Deep Democracy presented at 1st Conference Melbourne March 2017.
In 2015 Google published a list of the traits that its most effective teams share, with the key one being “psychological safety.” Many organisations, whether they are going through agile transformation, or are agile by design, are looking to create and maintain an environment where self organising teams thrive. If psychological safety is one of the key ingredients to this, what does safety look and feel like? How do we know what level of safety we have in a team? And how can we increase levels of safety?
The Lewis Method of Deep Democracy offers a road map for teams to achieve safety so that they thrive. This talk shares the key tools to get groups on this road including the Resistance Line, Check-In and 4 Steps so that by the end of the talk you’ll walkaway with tools you can play with.
Going Horizontal: The path to better organizations and a better society - Sam...Spark the Change Montréal
Collective leadership, self-management, employee led organization, non-hierarchical or horizontal ways of working – no matter what we call it, these ways of working together are what allow organizations to tap into their full potential and respond to their most current and relevant challenges.
When organizations begin to shift their culture towards more explicit forms of shared power, mutual responsibility and care, the journey forward is neither clear nor easy, and we often get stuck.
But what if organizations themselves are the ideal training grounds for developing the most critical personal and collective leadership skills required for our shared future?
Based on a unique anthropological lens, Samantha has uncovered a practical approach to going horizontal that can help anyone, no matter the domain of your activity, the size of your organization or your role within it.

Dental implants are the most significant dental innovation of our generation. With a high success rate (over 90%) and a track record spanning decades, dental implants are now considered the best long-term solution for missing teeth. When properly cared for, they can last a lifetime. Unlike traditional bridges or dentures, dental implants preserve bone. This greatly improves appearance and confidence in patients. In both aesthetics and function, dental implants are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. This infographic highlights the main features and benefits of dental implants.

Communication & Challenging Conversations PCMA 2014 MontrealMcKinley Solutions
Challenging conversations are those everyday interactions that significantly affect you and others. They differ from ordinary dialogue because the opinions of the participants may vary, the emotions are high and the stakes are significant. The way in which you deal with these important discussions can have a positive or negative result and can change the course of your relationship. Learn the tools to handle life’s most difficult conversations, say what’s on your mind, and achieve positive outcomes. Challenging confrontations consists of face-to-face accountability discussions where someone has disappointed you and you talk to him or her directly. When handled well, the problem is resolved and the relationship benefits. New research demonstrates that these disappointments aren’t just irritating – they’re costly, sapping organizational performance by 20 to 50 percent. Learn to permanently resolve failed promises and missed deadlines, transform broken rules and bad behaviors into productive accountability and strengthen relationships while solving problems. At the heart of mastering these challenges is the ability to engage in and maintain dialogue. Masters of dialogue create an atmosphere where everyone feels safe about adding his or her own views to the “shared pool” of ideas being expressed. The skills are critical to the success of all leadership roles. Active participants will increase their awareness of the challenging conversations and confrontations as well as hands-on tips and techniques on how to manage them effectively.
Learning Objectives:
1. How do I deal spontaneously with challenging conversations (where opinions vary, emotions are high and stakes are significant)?
2. How can I resolve problems where I have been disappointed by employee accountability and avoid unnecessary costs and strained relationships?
3. How do I develop and environment where people can carry on a dialogue and feel safe expressing their own view.

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.

Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

9. Question:
I have never met a person whose
professional and personal life would
not be immediately and immeasurably
improved if they became a better
listener.
Do you agree?
14. Why you’re really here…
1. Rightly or wrongly you are judged by
your results.
2. You’re interested in getting better
results.
3. Achieving better results is dependent
upon not only what you do, but upon what
you get other people to do.
4. How you motivate others to do what
you’d like is directly tied to how effective
you are as a communicator.
15. Why you’re really here…
5. A big part of communication is how well you
listen.
6. You have enough humility to accept that you
could improve your listening skills.
7. Or someone has told you that you need to
improve them.
That’s why you’re here.
19. • Why don’t THEY listen?
• Why don’t YOU listen?
20. • A Modem is a piece of computer hardware. It is
used to communicate between distant computers.
Two modems, one on each computer, are required
to make a connection, and each modem can send
and receive data to and from the other modem. The
term modem stands for modulator - demodulator.
• Modulation is changing the digital data in the
personal computer to analog data (audio tones or
sounds) so that it can be sent.
• Demodulation is changing the analog data (audio
tones) that is received over the telephone lines to
digital data to be used by the computer.
• Pieces of data are sent from one modem to another
modem at a set speed or rate. This rate is called the
baud rate. One baud is one bit per second.
28. And widens it even more.
1. Winning too much.
2. Add too much value.
3. Passing judgment.
4. Making destructive
comments.
5. Starting with NO, BUT,
HOWEVER.
6. Telling the world how smart
we are.
29. What Narrows the Mirror Neuron Gap?
Core Competencies of Effective Communication
35. And narrows it even more?
Core Competencies of Effective Communication
• “Do YOU Get us”: Company Awareness
• “Do YOU Get it” : Situational Awareness
• “Do YOU Get me” : Personal Awareness
36. And narrows it most of all…
Feeling Felt
– Trying to persuade people causes resistance, because
they feel you pushing your agenda on them.
– Making someone “feel felt” simply means putting
yourself in the other person’s shoes.
– When you succeed, you can change the dynamics of a
relationship in a heartbeat.
– At that instant, instead of trying to get the better of
each other, you “get” each other and that
breakthrough can lead to cooperation, collaboration,
and effective communication.
45. Tips for getting
through
1. Talk with or at least talk to, but never talk at
or over
2. Get into their listening
3. Fill in the blanks
4. The Impossibility Question
5. The Power of Pause, “Hmmm…,” “Say more
about…”
6. Take your conversation to the ICU
7. The Meeting Surprise Pop Quiz
47. Stress Free Negotiation
Become the champion and guardian of a deal or
agreement where each person will:
1. Feel okay immediately afterwards
2. Not be thrown under the bus by a second
guessing superior (a.k.a. either person getting
fired because of it is off the table)
3. Feel it was a fair and decent agreement one
month later
48. And Become a PAL
“The purest form of listening (and probably caring) is to listen
without memory or desire.”
Wilfred Bion, psychoanalyst (1897 – 1979)
•When you listen with memory, you’re listening with an old
agenda that you’re trying to plug someone into; when you listen
with desire, you’re listening with a new agenda that you’re trying
to plug them into. In neither case are you listening to their
agenda.
•To really get through to people, use Purposeful Agendaless
Listening (PAL). And your purpose is listening to serve vs.
listening to sell. When you do, what you trigger in others…
