The Gospel of John was the last of the four gospels to be written, intended for all Christians to know Jesus as the Word made flesh. 
The Free unmerited favor of God, as
manifested in the salvation of sinners and
the bestowal of blessings. It is the kindness
of God that we don’t deserve. There is
nothing we have done, nor can ever do to
earn this favor. It is a gift from God

18. Hebrews 10:1-4
The Law is only a shadow of the good things that
are coming – not the realities themselves. For this
reason it can never, by the same sacrifices
repeated endlessly year after year make perfect
those who draw near to worship. If it could,
would they not have stopped being offer? For the
worshipers would have been cleansed once for
all, and would not longer have felt guilty for their
sins. But those sacrifices are an actual reminder
of sins, because it is impossible for the blood of
bulls and goats to take away sins.
