9. The Bible doesn’t tell us that we
shouldn’t feel angry, but it points out
that it is important to handle our anger
properly. If vented thoughtlessly, anger
can hurt others and destroy
relationships. If bottled up inside, it can
cause us to become bitter and destroy us
from within. Paul tells us to deal with
our anger immediately in a way that
builds relationships rather than
destroys them.
10. If we nurse our anger, we will give the
devil an opportunity to divide us. Are
you angry with someone right now?
What can you do to resolve your
differences? Don’t let the day end before
you begin to work on mending your
relationship.

13. If your enemy is hungry, give him food
to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him
water to drink, for you will heap coals
of fire on his head, and the LORD will
reward you.

21. Perverse defined:
showing a deliberate and obstinate
desire to behave in a way that is
unreasonable or unacceptable, often
in spite of the consequences.
22.
23. Therefore, having laid aside falsehood, each
one of you speak the truth with his neighbor,
because we are members of one another. Be
angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go
down on the cause of your anger. Do not give
the devil an opportunity. The one who steals
must steal no longer; instead he must labor,
doing good with his own hands, so that he will
have something to share with the one who has
need.
24. You must let no unwholesome word come out
of your mouth, but only what is beneficial for
the building up of the one in need, that it
would give grace to those who hear. And do
not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you
were sealed for the day of redemption. You
must put away all bitterness, anger, wrath,
quarreling, and slanderous talk—indeed all
malice. Instead, be kind to one another,
compassionate, forgiving one another, just as
God in Christ also forgave you.
