Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship:for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (Jn.4: 21- 24) IT WAS TO THE SAMARITAN WOMAN ! (Worship not forbidden to anyone)

WORSHIP FATHER SEEKS TO WORSHIP HIM Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Col.1: 12-13) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.(Jn.4: 24) Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2.Cor.3: 17) THRU CHRIST WE HAVE THE ACCESS By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. (Heb.13: 15)

7. WORSHIP Lamb of God, through thee we enter, inside the veil; Cleansed by Thee, we boldly venture, inside the veil; Not a stain; a new creation; our’s is such a full salvation; Low we bow in adoration; inside the veil.

8. WORSHIP WHAT IS WORSHIP ? Few definitions on worship Worship is the “overflow of a grateful heart, under a sense of Devine favor.” (Ps. 45: 1) Worship is the “out pouring of a soul at rest in the presence of God” (SoS.2: 3) Worship is the “occupation of the heart, not with its needs, or even with its blessings, but with God himself” (2.Sam.7:18-22) Worship is the “upspring of a heart that has known the Father as a giver, the Son as Savior, and the Holy Spirit as the indwelling guest” . (Honey you can define; until you taste it cannot fully know it; so is the worship)

9. WORSHIP WHAT IS SPIRITUAL WORSHIP ? (Worship in spirit and truth) Worship is ascribing worthiness to the one who is “worthy of worship” Reverence, prostration to pay divine homage a difference (Mat.2:11; Rev.4:10; 5: 8) (If not before Him, for whom your knees bend ?)

10. WORSHIP WORSHIP DIFFERENT FROM PRAISE AND PRAYER What make the differences ? Prayer is the occupation of the soul with its needs. Praise is the occupation of the soul with its blessings Worship is the occupation of the soul with God himself. Example “ Lord save my soul” is prayer “ Thank you Lord for saving my soul” is praise . “ Thank you Lord for what thou art” is worship (Adore in heart, bow before him for what He is)

11. WORSHIP WHO IS A WORSHIPPER ? (Deu.26: 1-11) Must be one experienced the redemption (v.5,6) Must be one who got an inheritance (v. 1) Must be one blessed of the Lord (v. 2) Must be one who is grateful to Lord (v. 2, 3) Must be one obedient to God’s word (v. 2) Must be one who is humble in heart (v. 5- 9) Must be one who comes to give to Lord (v. 10) We are redeemed (1.Pet.1: 18) has inheritance (Eph.1: 5) blessed (Eph.1: 3) thankful (Eph.5: 19-20) obedient to him (Mat.18: 20) gives to the Lord (Heb.13: 15)

19. WORSHIP WHOM WE WORSHIP ? King eternal, invisible, Immortal (1.Tim.1: 17) Thou shalt worship Lord thy God (Mat.4: 10) God revealed in the scripture is “triune God” God revealed in three persons (Trinity) Yet co-equal, co- eternal, co-exists The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God almighty, All thy works shall praise thy name in earth and sky and sea, Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and mighty! God in Three persons, blessed Trinity!

WORSHIP WE WORSHIP THE FATHER FOR WHAT HE IS AND FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (Jn.3: 16-17) WORSHIP SON FOR WHAT HE BECAME God has loved us. 21. WORSHIP WHY WE SHOULD WORSHIP THE SON ? John 5: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. 24. WORSHIP We must worship, for what he do for us now He makes intercession for us (Heb.7: 25) FOR HE IS GOD HIMSELF Romans 9: 5 who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Col.1: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God. Col.2: 9 For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Heb.1: 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power 1.John.5: 20 This is true God and eternal life.

25. WORSHIP WHAT ABOUT WORSHIP TO HOLY SPIRIT ? Is He not God ? ( Yes- Acts.5: 4) Is He not co-equal ? ( Yes - Heb.9: 14) What He seeks ? ( Glorify the son – Jn.16: 14) Worship is the “upspring of a heart that has known the Father as a giver , the Son as Savior , and the Holy Spirit as the indwelling guest ” . WHAT HOLY SPIRIT DONE FOR US ? Convinced of sin, righteousness.. (Jn.16: 8) Shed God’s love in our heart (Rom.5: 5) Lead to salvation (Rom.10: 9-10; 1.Cor.12: 3) Taken dwelling in us (Rom.8: 11;Jn.14: 16,17)

26. WORSHIP WHAT H.SPIRIT DOES IN US NOW ? Guides in to all truths (Jn.16: 13) Helps us to pray (Rom:8: 26; 27) Builds together as habitation ..(Eph.2: 22) DO H.SPIRIT DEMANDS WORSHIP ? WORSHIP THE MANNER OF WORSHIP WORSHIP MUST BE SPIRITUAL (Rom.8: 8) Not traditional – (Is.29: 13; Eze.33: 31) Not Carnal worship (Not pleased-1.Cor.2:14) Counterfeiting- Instead of real spirituality Artificial enthusiasm- for holy zeal Fleshly emotionalism- for the joy of the Lord Organization- for the unity of the Spirit Religious expression- for the inner reality Cold orthodoxy – for strength and truth (No Pretence; but real and spontaneous)

28. WORSHIP WORSHIP MUST BE SINCERE (IN TRUTH) NOT ONLY IN “ SPIRIT ” BUT ALSO IN “ TRUTH ”. God hates hypocrisy? (Mal.1: 7-14; Is.1: 11-14) GOD LOOKS TO (FOR HE IS HOLY) Pro.20: 10 Our Standing and state Our creed and conduct Our lips and lives Our belief and behavior Our profession and expression (“ For I desire mercy and not sacrifice.” Hos.6: 6 ) Do our lives become a lie to our profession of faith ? Transparency in honesty, thoughts, word and deed; clean hands and sincere heart a must

29. WORSHIP WORSHIP MUST BE INTELLIGENT He gave us his son to save us (Jn.3: 16) He gave us his word to grow (1.Pet.2: 1-2) He gave us gifts for perfecting.. (Eph.4: 11-16) (God doesn’t want us to remain ignorant) Heart’s apprehension and appreciation of God’s word, but not the head knowledge (Demands love to the Word of God) Intelligent knowledge of the scriptural truths. (Demands reading and meditation of the Word) Results in higher level of spirituality and sincerity that leads to intelligent worship.

30. WORSHIP Must know the position in Christ (Eph.1: 3-8) He is foreknown. (1.Pet.1: 2). He is predestinated. (v.5) refers to a purpose. He is elected of God. (1.Pet.1: 2; Rom.8: 29) He is saved. (Eph.2: 8) He is justified. (Rom.5: 1; 8: 33) He is sanctified. (1.Pet.1: 2) He is blessed with all spiritual blessings (v.3) Above knowledge is the foundation of our peace with God; with out that none can do the true worship

31. WORSHIP MUST KNOW TRUTHS ABOUT CHURCH What the church is ? What Christ and church; the head and body ? The unity of the body of Christ. (Manifold wisdom of God revealed..Ep.3: 10) MUST KNOW PREISTHOOD OF ALL BELIEVERS. Priesthood of believer (1.Pet.2:8-9; Rev.1: 5;6) To offer spiritual sacrifices (Heb.13: 15) (No more needed an earthly mediator) PROMINENCE OF WORSHIP IN LIFE Realize the important of worship. Worship we begin here, the only occupation we can continue all thru eternity
