Google Drive - The Look & Feel 
Folders
Let’s Create a Folder 
New --> Folder--> Name Folder
Star and Color Your Folder 
Right Click on Folder--> Change Color
Share Your Work With Your Buddies 
Highlight the Folder → Click Share Icon
Share an Entire Folder 
Whenever you drop a document in a folder that 
is shared with multiple contacts, the entire 
group will have access to any electronic files 
housed within that shared folder.
Sharing Options 
- Private – No One Has Access 
- Anyone with the Link – Need to Email the URL 
- Public – Searchable Online - Anyone can Access 
- Share with individuals by typing their email 
address into the box.

Setting Up A Contact Group 
Easy way to share with multiple recipients

4. Open MS Outlook
Copy Contacts From Outlook 
1. Click on New Email 
2. Type the name of a contact group 
3. Expand the group by clicking on the plus sign 
4. Copy the email addresses 
Highlight all names --> Right Click --> Copy

Now Create a Document 
New --> Google Docs
The toolbar should look familiar. The 
toolbar and it’s drop down options are 
similar to those found in MS Word or any 
other word processing software. 
Formatting – Go ahead and play around a bit – (5 min Self –Discovery)

Google - Set Timer For 
Google.com
Tiered Comments 
Click on the comment button to leave comments/running 
dialogue concerning the entire document
Comment On a Particular Point 
1. Highlight the sentence 
2. Right Click 
3. Select Comment 
4. Type your comment 
5. Submit
Mess Up? Don’t Panic.
Revision History 
To access previous 
versions of a 
Document click on File → 
See revision history
Live Chat 
When multiple viewers have opened a 
document you have the option to chat with 
them. Clicking on their colored square in the 
upper right hand corner will enable a chat 
window.
Make A Copy 
If you find a document that you would like to 
“steal” you can click on File → Make a Copy. 
This will copy the document to your Drive 
account in order to make editing changes that 
will not affect the original document.
Google Drive Storage 
You can upload videos, music, Powerpoints, and 
other multimedia files to Google Drive in order 
to create backup copies. Everyone is granted 
5TB of storage space (Anything you create in 
Google docs does not count against your 
storage quota) You can upload files simply by 
clicking on the upload icon.
