Genre: Blink Once is a fictional, mystery, and romance book. This book sparked my interest

Sleepy Hollow In the Legend Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving, the reader follows the story
of a Man named Ichabod Crane. It all takes place in 18th century New York, where we see
Ichabod the lanky, poor, school teacher attempt to court the rich and lovely Katrina Van Tassel.
Ichabod comes to Sleepy Hollow, New York, from his home state of Connecticut, to be the
schoolmaster of the village. The town of Sleepy Hollow and its inhabitants are said to be under
some kind of spell or enchantment, and the place is shrouded by supernatural rumors. Irving plays

They originally start off, Brom Bones, knowing that Ichabod believes in the supernatural world,
moves all the desks in Ichabod s class to scare him. Sadly and ironically it works. The irony in
this is that Ichabod is a man of intellect, a school teacher the fact that he actually believes in all of
the supernatural tales that surround Sleepy Hollow would most likely not be seen in the majority
of other schoolmasters. From the very beginning Irving shows the reader that Ichabod has fatal
flaw that will only hurt him as his conflict worsen. Later on Ichabod attends Katrina s party
hoping to win her over, sadly he is disappointed and leaves the party walking back on the dark and
eerily quiet path home. While passing the possibly haunted Major Andre s tree, otherwise known as
the Headless Horseman, Ichabod notices a shadowy figure tracing him. After calling out and
receiving no response he begins to quicken his pace attempting to lose the pursuer. This proves to
no avail as the figure takes shape, to Ichabod s horror. It is the headless horseman. Hoping on
Gunpowder, Ichabod s decrepit horse, he attempts to escape the headless horseman. The problem

To Kill a Mockingbird Question 1
Even though the first eleven chapters of Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird may seem tedious
and pointless to some, I find them to be charming and compelling because of the character
development that happens during them. The subplot of Boo Radley especially helped to show
the development of the characters. This subplot displayed the personalities of Jem, Scout, and
Dill as it progressed. It also created many events which serve as reference points for the
development of these characters throughout the book, such as when Jem is dared to touch Radley

when the Finches go to visit Aunt Alexandra and Uncle Jack. During the visit Scout has an

character development in both Scout, as it shows she is now able to tell her idea and stand up
for it rather than just accept someone else s, and in Uncle Jack, as he now knows how to deal
with situation such as this where listening to just one side of a story can be unfair for others.

however, the income of the top fifth grew by 91.7%. In addition, if the timeframe is shortened to

Brian Friel correctly claims that Translations is a play that emphasizes language, not politics or
history. This story takes place in a rural Gaelic speaking town in Ireland and focuses on the
interactions between Irish and English folk. These conversations end up to be a series of
mistranslations . Throughout the plot of this play, Friel proves that a person s identity comes from
language alone. Understanding the politics and history of a play merely explains the factual
framework of the story, but does not facilitate the reader to make inferences about the underlying
meaning and purpose of the play like language does.
The setting lends an important historical context to the play, but language tied with culture helps to
unravel the meaning behind the play. This play is set in 1833, a time when, an Irish town,

An Effective System For Lossless Image Compression
Abstract In this paper, we proposed an effective system for lossless image compression using
different wavelet transform such as the stationary wavelet transform, the non decimated wavelet
transform, and discrete wavelet transform with delta encoding and compare the results without
delta encoding. With the development in the field of networking in the process of sending and
receiving files needed to effective techniques for image compression as the raw images required
large amounts of disk space to defect during transportation and storage operations. We used lossless
compression to maintain the original features of the image in this process; there is a major problem
which often is low compression ratios. We also use three types of wavelet transform which are
discrete wavelet transform, non decimated wavelet transform, and stationary wavelet transform to
demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system for comparison and to show the differences
between each type to overcome previous challenges. This paper proposed a system for lossless
image compression based on the use of the three types of wavelet transforms using Arithmetic
coding and Huffman coding with delta coding, which helps in the high compression ratio to clarify
the extent of the difference and distinction between each type. The results show that the stationary
wavelet transform outperforms the non decimated wavelet transform and the discrete wavelet
transform and with delta encoding outperforms without delta
