Here are 7 out of 20 tips on how to be a better person and be happy in life. For 13 more tips of this type, click the link: http://vkool.com/how-to-be-a-better-person.
1. Control Anger & Jealousy
Being angry or jealous with others makes you find it hard to have happiness in life. Therefore, you should always keep calm when you see someone’s mistakes, and be happy when you see someone’s success. You should learn to understand and sympathize with others when they make mistakes, and honestly be happy when they succeed in life or at work rather than being jealous with them. The more angry and jealous you are, the worse you will feel about yourself. Holding anger with someone is actually a way you punish yourself, while forgiving is a valuable gift.
2. Think Before Speaking
You should think thoroughly about everything you want to say before you speak out. First, you should consider if it is necessary to say it out. Second, you should think if this is the right time to say it. Third, consider whether what you are going to speak out may hurt someone mentally.
3. Listen To Other People
No matter how busy you are, you should always listen to other people. You may listen to understand them, to comfort them when they are sad, or to know if you are doing something wrong to them. Listening to others is one of the most efficient tips on how to be a better person.
If you want to speak well, you should listen well first. This is the reason why we have two ears, but only one mouth.
4. Be Honest
Honesty is always the best policy in life. No matter how wise or clever you are, if you are dishonest, you will never be trusted by others. Life is built with love and trust. If you are not trusted, you will certainly not be happy in life. Therefore, you should learn to be honest no matter how hard it is.
5. Be Caring
Caring helps warm people’s heart. A good person is the one who always cares about others around and is willing to give a helping hand when someone needs. Caring is an efficient tip on how to be a better person and be happy in life.
6. Think Positively
Positive thoughts can help change your feelings in a good way, making your life more relaxing and enjoyable. Therefore, you should always think positively in every situation. In case that negative thoughts come to you, try to stop them, eliminate them, and start thinking optimistically about life. Think about what you are having and what you will be able to have in the future. Keep calm and you will succeed. Thinking positively is an efficient tip on how to be a better person and be happy in life. Happiness comes from inside, not outside. The way you think about life determines your happiness.
7. Practice Gratitude
Thankfulness can bring more kindness and possibility into life. You should always think that you are still having a better life than many other people in this world. Think about homeless or disabled people, and you will see that you are still lucky.

The Power of Pause: Mastering the Median Point Alexei Orlov
While we readily guard against outside threats and enemies, the most dangerous risk tends to be a more insidious foe: our own poor behavior.
People may remember what you said or what you did, or they may not. But the one absolute you can always rely on is this: They will never forget the way you made them feel.
Ten Things Everyone Needs to Learn From their ChildhoodAdimabua Emmanuel
We can all learn from our childhood selves. That innocent kid within us that used to take the world at face value and trusted the process of life. I know that we can learn a lot from our childhood self and re-introduce a childlike wonder into our daily experiences. Here’s how…
(1) From an external orientation to an internal orientation
(2) Deconstruction of the false beliefs and stories we hold
(3) Feel to heal
(4) Accept our humanness
(5) Integrate our shadows (the parts we disowned)
(6) Be supported by relationships
And a list of day-to-day things we may want to do more of and less of to live a better life!

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Renewed in Grace
2. Let us not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of human activities.
3. Let us not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.
4. Let us not carry grudges, for they are the heaviest of all life’s burdens.
5. Let us not dwell in the past with regret, remorse or guilt, for the past is dead and gone.
6. Let us not speculate and worry about the future, for the future is an uncertainty.
7. Let us learn to live mindfully in the present, for the only Reality is NOW.
8. Let us learn to be good listeners, for attentive listening develops the mind.
9. Let us not become ‘bogged down’ by frustration, for it is often rooted in self-pity and will only interfere with positive action.
10. Let us not add to the truth, for if you do, you subtract from it.
11. Let us count our blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one.
12. Let us be diligent to succeed, for diligence is the mother of good luck.
13. What we dislike in another, let us be mindful and take care to correct in ourselves.
14. Let us watch our speech…lying, slander, harsh speech and gossip can cause much suffering.
15. If we seek to understand the whole Universe, we’ll understand little, but seek to understand ourselves, and we’ll come to understand the whole Universe.
16. The End When we see things as they truly are, suffering decreases and peacefulness increases. With Metta, Bro. Oh Teik Bin
