Godrej Consumer Products Ltd is a major player in the Indian FMCG market with leadership in hair coloring and fabric care. It is also one of the largest marketers of toilet soap in India with brands like Cinthol and Godrej No. 1. In 1991, Godrej Group formed a joint venture with Sara Lee Corporation to become a leader in the Indian household insecticides category with brands including Good Knight and Hit. In 2010, Sara Lee agreed to sell its 51% stake in the Godrej Sara Lee Ltd. joint venture to Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. for €185 million, ending the 15-year alliance.
