This document analyzes the impact of the 2015 earthquake in Kathmandu, Nepal using remote sensing. Pre- and post-earthquake Landsat images were analyzed using ENVI tools to detect changes. NDVI was used to extract vegetation and man-made features, and image change detection identified decreases, representing earthquake damage. However, the results did not perfectly match assessed damage points, likely due to other environmental factors and the low-resolution images. The analysis still provided useful information about changes to vegetation cover over time.
