This project involves updating the geographic information system (GIS) database and maps for the existing electricity distribution network in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan. The network was originally developed in 2006 but has not been updated since 2010. The project will update the digital database and maps to reflect current infrastructure by collecting data on transformers, poles, conductors, and consumers. This updated GIS database will help improve planning, implementation, and operation of the electricity network by providing accurate spatial and non-spatial utility data to support decision making. The specific area of focus will be the 11kV City-4 feeder network within the 132kV Muzaffarabad grid.

In this paper power distribution data (poles, transformers and transmission lines) have been mapped using GPS and high resolution remote sensing images. These details have been put in GIS using ArcGIS 9.1 software. Various things like road network and land use are also superimposed on the power distribution system GIS layer. Various types of analysis like finding a pole or circuit of specific transformer can be done using GIS tools.
Using FME to Refine Electric Company Facility Data
LSS utilized FME to create a workspace designed to dramatically reduce the facility footprint of an electric company. Using the workspace, the company reduced their One Call ticket volume by roughly 25%. This presentation will provide an overview of the problem and how FME was used as the solution.

Whether in indoor environments, such as supermarkets, museums and offices, or outdoor environments, such as parks, maintaining safe social distancing has been a priority during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this talk, Jose presents GovTech’s work developing cloud-connected edge AI solutions that count the number of people present in outdoor and indoor spaces, providing facility operators with real-time information that allows them to manage spaces to enable social distancing.

Final Report - Optimizing Work Distribution for NP Orders

SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR GAS DISTRIBUTION NETWORK

To achieve these SLAs, organizations need to build a disaster recovery plan that cover several layers ranging from the infrastructure to the clients going through the platform and the applications. In this talk, we will present the different architecture blueprints for disaster recovery as well as their corresponding SLA objectives. Then, we will focus on the stretch cluster solution that Crédit Agricole CIB is using in production. We will discuss the solution’s advantages, drawbacks and the impact of this approach on the global architecture. Finally, we will explain in detail how to configure and deploy this solution and how to integrate each layer (storage layer, processing layer...) into the architecture.

Billions of interconnected Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices collect huge amounts of real-time data. However, this massive stream of data presents technical challenges for processing and analysis and the digital gap between urban and rural areas is also a critical consideration. A powerful platform is crucial to cost-effectively and efficiently process such massive collections of messages. This work introduces the civil IoT architecture in Taiwan including the dedicated B20 spectrum, backbone network facilities, and a scalable data platform. The proposed system operates in Taiwan for IoT applications with real cases. In the experiment, we demonstrate the performance of signal coverage, throughput, real-time query and visualization, and a monitoring mechanism. The results showed that the presented architecture is efficient and effective for dealing with IoT scenarios in a cost-effective approach.
